Illegal alien arrested for alleged child rape in Martha's Vineyard had just been released from prison

An illegal immigrant who is charged with child rape on the affluent island of Martha's Vineyard had just been released from prison for other violent crimes.

24-year-old Warley Neto of Brazil was arrested after being indicted for five counts of child rape and 5 counts of enticing a minor under 16 years old.

'Too often local jurisdictions refuse to honor immigration detainers and release dangerous offenders back into the community to reoffend.'

Neto had entered into the U.S. illegally in 2018 and was released with a notice to appear before an immigration judge, officials said.

Instead, he was arrested five years later for strangulation, assault and battery, and threat to commit a crime. He was convicted and sentenced to a year in prison on June 2023, but was released after only serving 90 days.

Months later, he was arrested for the child rape charges. Public details about the new charges are limited because of the age of the victim.

ICE officials said that local law enforcement officials were cooperating with their detainer request.

“Warley Neto allegedly repeatedly assaulted a Massachusetts child and represents a significant threat to the safety of our neighborhoods,” read a statement from ICE’s Boston field office director, Todd M. Lyons.

Martha's Vineyard is famous as the site where asylum-seekers were sent in 2022 by Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to pressure Democrats who ostensibly supported "sanctuary state" policies. It is unclear whether Neto was one of those people sent to the ritzy island.

“We are grateful for the cooperation of the Dukes County Sheriff’s Office for prioritizing public safety and allowing Neto’s safe transfer of custody to [Enforcement and Removal Operations]," Lyons continued. "Too often local jurisdictions refuse to honor immigration detainers and release dangerous offenders back into the community to reoffend. ERO Boston will continue to apprehend and remove the most egregious noncitizen offenders from New England.”

Tennessee coach accused of recording himself raping drugged boys is also an illegal alien, officials say

A popular youth soccer coach in Tennessee is accused of recording himself raping boys whom he had drugged, and officials have said that he's also an illegal alien.

The Franklin Police Department called the case one of the most "egregious" and "shocking" they have ever seen.

63-year-old Camilo Hurtado Campos was arrested on charges of child rape after he left his cellphone at a local pizza restaurant and workers trying to get his information to contact him allegedly discovered horrendous videos of assault.

The videos reportedly showed dozens of unconscious children being raped. Investigators later said the boys were aged between 9 and 17 years old.

He was arrested a day after he returned to retrieve the phone and a worker was able to snap a photo of his license plate.

An affidavit said that Campos admitted that the phone was his.

WSMV-TV reported that Campos lived at a residence located between two schools and across from a soccer field.

Police said that Campos would regularly recruit children to his soccer team then gain their trust and invite them to his home. Campos would then allegedly drug them and rape them while recording the crimes.

Investigators were initially able to identify three of at least 10 victims, but five other victims have come forward since the arrest was publicized.

"Detectives say that the children in these videos were in such an unconscious state," police said, "that they might not even realize that they are victims."

On Wednesday, officials said that Campos had also allegedly entered into the U.S. illegally.

Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee confirmed the report on Wednesday and called for greater immigration security.

"This outrageous tragedy is further evidence that we need to build the wall now. Until our border is secured, every town is a border town, and criminals will continue to have free reign throughout the nation," she tweeted.

Additional charges are expected against Campos, who is being held on a $525,000 bond.
