Teenage illegal alien from El Salvador arrested for murder and mutilation of man found in California orchard

California police said an illegal alien teenager from El Salvador was arrested in connection to the murder and mutilation of a man found in an orchard in January.

On Jan. 17 at about 2 p.m., a farmer called police after finding a suspicious car dumped in the middle of an orchard near Belmont and Washoe Avenues west of Mendota. When deputies investigated, they found the dismembered body of 25-year-old Fraylee Hernandez in the trunk of the car.

During the investigation, police identified a prime suspect and determined that Hernandez had died 11 days prior to his body being found.

On Tuesday, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that they had arrested an illegal alien for the crime and booked him into the Fresno County Juvenile Justice Campus on Friday.

His identity has not yet been released because he was entered into the juvenile court system. Sheriff's officials said he was an illegal immigrant who had been 17 years old at the time of the murder but has since turned 18 years old.

The suspect was on probation for assaulting his mother, and police believe that he was an acquaintance of the victim.

On Tuesday, KSEE-TV reported that the Fresno district attorney requested that the suspect be tried as an adult.

"We see a lot of different methods of homicide in our line of work. To shoot somebody is bad enough, but there's some sort of separation there," said Tony Botti, the public information officer for the Fresno County Sheriff's Office. "When you're that intimate with somebody that you would mutilate them, that's a whole different level."

Police are asking for help from the public to aid the investigation. Anyone with information can contact police anonymously, and they may be eligible for a cash reward.

"They'll beat up their own mom and then they'll chop up another man, it seems, in the blink of an eye," Botti continued. "It's very disturbing. And this is somebody we need to keep off our streets and locked up for the rest of his life."

Mendota is a small agricultural city of about 11,000 residents in central California. In 2019, it was rated the worst city in America by USA Today because of high unemployment, crime, and poverty. The city calls itself the cantaloupe center of the world.

Man arrested for murder of Georgia nursing student is illegal alien who was reportedly released over 'lack of detention space'

Georgia police have arrested a non-citizen immigrant suspected in the murder of a nursing student, and he had previously been released over a "lack of detention space," according to one report.

22-year-old Laken Riley was a student at Augusta University College of Nursing and went out for a jog on Thursday but didn't return home. Her roommate called police to report her missing.

At about 12:30, police found her body beaten to death on the campus of the University of Georgia in Athens and later confirmed that she had died of blunt force trauma.

On Friday, University of Georgia Police Department Chief Jeff Clark told reporters at a media briefing that they had arrested 26-year-old Jose Antonio Ibarra in the murder.

"He did not know her at all," said Clark. "I think this was a crime of opportunity."

Clark said that Ibarra is not a U.S. citizen and appears to be an immigrant from Venezuela. The man reportedly lived in an apartment building near the location where the woman's body was found.

He went on to say that police used surveillance video and physical evidence in order to identify Ibarra as a suspect. They also conducted a search warrant at his home.

NewsNation reported that multiple sources from the Department of Homeland Security confirmed that Ibarra was from Venezuela and that he had been released due to lack of detention space.

Clark said that Ibarra was charged with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, kidnapping, hindering a 911 call and concealing the death of another. He was booked into the Clarke County Jail.

Police said the murder on the campus was the first in at least 30 years.

Illegal alien charged with randomly slashing Florida couple's throats as they rode bikes home

An illegal immigrant has been charged in the gruesome stabbing deaths of a married couple in Daytona Beach, Florida.

What are the details?

The horrifying murders of 48-year-old Terry Aultman and 55-year-old Brenda Aultman shocked the local community earlier this month. The husband and wife had been riding their bicycles back home from the city's Bike Week festivities when they were attacked, seemingly at random.

On Sunday morning, March 7, a bystander discovered their bloodied bodies on the side of the road; their throats were slashed and they had multiple stab wounds. The local police chief called it "one of the most vicious and gruesome incidents" he had ever witnessed.

A few days later, police released photos and a video of a person of interest in the murder and asked the community to come forward with information.

Since then, authorities in Volusia County have identified, arrested, and charged their suspect, WOFL-TV reported. He is 32-year-old Jean Robert Macean of Orlando.

According to inmate records, Macean is being held without bond in the Volusia County Jail on two charges of first-degree murder and an additional charge of "illegal immigrant/alien."

Police previously reported that Macean is from Haiti. However, further details about his citizenship or resident status remain unclear.

What else?

WESH-TV reported that Macean was arrested at his Orlando apartment last Thursday following an intense manhunt. He reportedly confessed to the murders during interviews with police.

Authorities claimed that more than 100 tips came in just one day after Daytona Beach Police announced a $50,000 reward for his capture. They maintain that the crime was a random act of violence. Macean allegedly did not know the victims, and investigators have not assigned any motive for the crimes.

Daytona Beach Police Chief Jakari Young said in a press conference after Macean's arrest that the heinous crimes are yet another example of the "evil" in the world.

Brenda Aultman's daughter called Macean a "monster" and added that her mother was her best friend. She previously described her mother and her husband as a beautiful, fun, loving couple.

The Aultmans had just moved to the residential beachside area six months prior and were reportedly extremely happy just enjoying life together.

"They walked to the beach every day. It was like their dream house. They bought bicycles. They just bought a Jeep. They were loving it. They loved the neighborhood," a neighbor recalled.
