Summer of rage 2.0 incoming? Protesters set sights on Chicago DNC

Biden and the Democratic Party are doing everything they can to appease the radical pro-Palestine, anti-Israel wing of the left. However, as the protesters' demands grow louder, they may be in for a rude awakening come the Democratic National Convention in August — which they’re choosing to have in Chicago.

Chicago doesn’t just have an insane crime rate. It also has the largest Palestinian population in the United States.

Counterterrorism expert and Capital Research Center investigative researcher Ryan Mauro is concerned, not just for Chicago but for the country.

“This is wholly dominated by militant revolutionists as well as Islamist extremists,” Mauro tells Glenn Beck, explaining that they’re all “coming together under this anti-colonial, revolutionary narrative.”

“They’re saying that like every day, that this is not just about Israel,” he adds.

“I want to get this straight,” Glenn responds. “Communists, anarchists, Islamists are all coming together to work to destroy maybe the Western way of life?”

“Yes,” Mauro says, noting that it’s “very possible” this summer’s riots will be worse than previous ones.

“They’re talking about especially the first week of July, blocking ports, trying to interrupt any type of shipping that could be going to Israel, a lot of anti-police activity,” he explains. “And then there’s just a lot of chatter about the DNC convention in August.”

“They’re going to regret choosing Chicago,” Mauro says. “It’s like a headquarters for all these radical groups, where they come together. I don’t know who their security consultant was, but man did they make a bad call.”

REPUBLICANS just passed a HATE SPEECH bill under the guise of 'anti-Semitism'

The House of Representatives just passed a major bill to combat "anti-Semitism" and had the majority of both parties on board.

The bill itself is described as enforcing the Department of Education to adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Allies definition of anti-Semitism when enforcing the 1964 Civil Rights Act on college campuses.

Its opposition consisted of only 21 Republicans and 70 Democrats.

While the bill was passed under the guise of fighting anti-Semitism, Glenn Beck realizes what it’s really about: criminalizing hate speech.

“When I hear people say ‘the Jews killed Jesus’ or ‘those dirty Jews run the world’ or ‘those Jews are responsible for everything bad’ or ‘you’re just saying things because you have a Zionist master,’ I think to myself, you’re a bloody idiot,” Glenn says.

“You shouldn’t be running around saying these things, but I kind of actually like it when you do because I know exactly who you are,” he adds.

Despite the way he feels about people who are anti-Semitic, it doesn’t change the way he feels about the bill.

“I am dead set against this, and you should be too. Something can be legally permissible and morally repulsive at the same time. Speech needs to be protected, not the stuff we all agree on, but the stuff we don’t agree on,” he explains.

“The people who voted for this bill, I’m sure it was well-intended, but they’re misguided by human nature itself. Governments cannot fix human hearts,” he continues, asking, “Why is it this Congress can only pass the things that seemingly only hurt the strength of America and only cut across the Constitution?”

WATCH: Pro-Palestinian protesters TAKE OVER college campuses

If there’s a leftist cause, a protest is bound to follow — no matter how little those protesting understand why or what they're protesting in the first place.

This is especially the case after Hamas’ October 7 attack on Israel.

Pro-Palestinian protesters have now taken over college campuses across America, from Columbia University in New York to the George Washington University in D.C. and Cal Poly Humboldt in California.

The protesters spent the past weekend setting up autonomous zones in solidarity with Gaza, held Islamic prayer sessions, and chanted about the intifada.

“Seems to be the only thing that Americans want to do these days is protest the right of Israel to exist,” Stu Burguiere says to Glenn Beck.

In one of the protests at Columbia University, the students knelt on Islamic prayer rugs while a man sang a prayer.

“The nice thing is they’re including women in the call to prayer, which is very popular in the Middle East. They love it when women get down and pray right alongside the men,” Glenn jokes.

At another protest in Canada, a woman praised Hamas’ attack on Israel. “We stand with the Palestinian resistance and their heroic and brave action on October 7. And they said, 'Long live October 7,' and we say today, 'Long live October 7!'” she yelled.

“You know, I love it when the Nazis are like, ‘Long live the Holocaust,’” Glenn mocks. “‘Long live those really cool showers and oven system that we came up with.’”

Thousands of pro-Palestine protesters and Jewish ceasefire advocates shut down Brooklyn Bridge, New York City's Grand Central Terminal

Thousands of pro-Palestine protesters shut down the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City on Saturday. On Friday, a Jewish organization advocating for a ceasefire in Gaza forced service to be suspended at Grand Central Terminal.

The protest at Grand Central Station was organized by Jewish Voice for Peace – self-described as: "The largest progressive Jewish anti-Zionist organization in the world" that is "organizing a grassroots, multiracial, cross-class, intergenerational movement of U.S. Jews into solidarity with the Palestinian freedom struggle, guided by a vision of justice, equality, and dignity for all people."

Thousands of demonstrators took over the main concourse and steps of Grand Central Terminal. People were waving Palestinian flags, holding signs demanding an immediate ceasefire, and the crowd was chanting: "Let Gaza live!"

The protesters caused a nightmare for commuters by forcing the Metropolitan Transportation Authority to suspend service at Grand Central Station – one of New York City's major transit hubs.

Then on Saturday, thousands of pro-Palestine protesters marched in Brooklyn, New York.

The "Flood Brooklyn for Palestine" protest featured demonstrators holding signs that read: "Biden is funding genocide," "Occupation is a crime," "Free Palestine," "Zionism is Terrorism," "By any means necessary," "F*** Israel, Justice Palestine," and "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free."

A 24-year-old protester from Queens declared, "Freedom by any means, land back by any means. I believe the settler state of Israel must be taken down."

There are estimates that more than 7,000 people participated in Saturday's protest against Israel. The massive demonstration was accompanied by approximately 1,800 police officers, drones for crowd control, and two NYPD helicopters.

The march against Israel caused traffic to be stopped and the Brooklyn Bridge to be temporarily closed.
