Interrogated, abused & tortured J6 prisoner released just 5 days ago tells his harrowing story of jail time: 'Like a scene out of a movie'

If you haven’t heard the name John Strand, here is a brief recap of his story:

Strand attended the Capitol on January 6 as the friend and bodyguard of Dr. Simone Gold, who was scheduled — and legally permitted — to speak on Capitol grounds that day. However, when the Oathkeepers and Strand escorted Dr. Gold to her speaking location, the chaos at the Capitol had already begun.

While Strand and Gold were uninvolved in the breaching of the Capitol building and never once participated in violence, they made the mistake of entering the building along with the crowd. They entered and departed peacefully like so many thousands of others, but this was enough to land both of them in hot water with the DOJ.

Both Stand and Gold were some of the first to be arrested and charged with four misdemeanors as well as the 1512 felony. While Gold took a plea deal, involving 60 days in prison, Strand, outraged by the obvious injustice, fought the charges. For his resistance, he was convicted on all charges and sentenced to 32 months in prison.

However, now that 1512 has been overturned by SCOTUS, Strand has been freed.

Just days out of prison, he joins Jill Savage and the “Blaze News Tonight” panel to recount his grueling experience behind bars.

For Strand, jail was “a very painful, miserable place.”

“God did a lot of great things, but it was terrible,” he tells Jill.

“My time in prison was actually split between two facilities — the first half in Miami, where I was actually viciously abused in an isolation environment for about four straight months, which was essentially like being waterboarded, and when I was released from there and transferred to another location, where it was a little less oppressive, it felt like I was trying to breathe the oxygen of freedom through a straw from underneath the swamp,” he recounts.

“You were being held in solitary confinement, which is essentially torture,” says investigative journalist and Blaze Media correspondent Steve Baker, adding that when Dr. Gold tried to sound the alarm on Strand’s abusive treatment, “There was a problem getting this message out” because “they tend to punish you more.”

“That’s exactly what happened to me,” Strand confirms. “They fabricated a whole series of ridiculous circumstances to put me in isolation for a couple of weeks basically to say, ‘Watch out, we'll crush you if you look sideways.”’

“They pulled me out for a couple days and then a story that I had nothing to do with went viral on media. Congressman Marjorie Taylor Greene reported on me being tortured and abused, and they put me in this interrogation room and grilled me about this, like I had something to do with it — like a scene out of a movie. And then they threw me back in, and I wasn't seen again for three and a half months.”

“How did you mentally make it through that time?” asks Jill.

Rep. Massie reveals NEW info about the Jan 6 pipe bomb

If you listen to the left, you probably believe that democracy “almost died” on January 6. But if you listen to Thomas Massie, you’ll walk away with a better understanding of the story.

Massie has new information that completely turns the January 6 stories upside down: the January 6 pipe bomb found at the DNC headquarters in Washington, D.C., was found by a plain-clothes U.S. Capitol Police officer.

The U.S. Capitol Police officer was originally reported to be a random passerby.

Before the truth about the DNC pipe bomb was uncovered, Massie’s “charitable interpretation of the video” was, “That’s some random passerby and he says to the cops, ‘There’s something bright and shiny over there in the weeds, you might want to check it out,’” Massie tells Pat Gray.

“Maybe that could explain their lackadaisical approach to the bomb,” he continues, “but I got confirmation that not only was that an undercover police officer, he told them there was a bomb over there.”

“So, then your thought process is that they knew it was a serious problem, yet they just sat there like it was no big deal,” Gray says.

According to Massie, the bomb sat for 17 hours and was outfitted with a 60-minute kitchen timer.

“Everybody keeps telling me this thing was viable, but it had a minute kitchen timer,” Massie says in disbelief. “If these were operable bombs, which the FBI maintains, this is one of the most serious threats to a vice president ever because she was sitting 30 feet away.”

COVER-UP: The phony Jan 6 committee deleted encrypted files

The truth about January 6 continues to be exposed.

Over 100 encrypted files relating to the January 6 Capitol riot probe were mysteriously deleted — and have now been recovered and password-protected.

The evidence is considered public information by Representative Barry Loudermilk of Georgia, who says it contains interviews and depositions that could prove crucial to making the case against the government.

Loudermilk believes that Bennie Thompson and Liz Cheney intentionally obstructed the subcommittee by failing to preserve critical information and videos as required by house rules.

“Now, this isn’t the first time they’ve been accused of this, because obviously, they did it,” Sara Gonzales comments.

Donald Trump made the same accusation in a January 2024 Truth Social post:

“Why did American Disaster Liz Cheney, who suffers from TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome), and was defeated for Congress by the largest margin for a sitting Congressman or Congresswoman in the history of our Country, ILLEGALLY DELETE & DESTROY most of the evidence, and related items, from the January 6th Committee of Political Thugs and Misfits,” Trump wrote.

Loudermilk also claimed that the FBI, Secret Service, and the Department of Defense had intelligence regarding the January 6 attack before it happened.

“That’s called a false flag,” Eric July explains.

NEW FACTS: Jan 6 DNC 'PIPE BOMB' story finally explodes!

BlazeTV’s investigative team has blown the story wide open on who really discovered the pipe bomb outside of DNC headquarters on January 6.

The original story went that a masked passerby stumbled on the pipe bomb before approaching the Capitol Police to report what he found.

But as more information is revealed, the original story is looking more like a lie.

“There was a massive cover up,” Grant Stinchfield, host of "Real America’s Voice," tells Sara Gonzales.

The pipe bomb was dropped outside of the DNC party headquarters, and the original surveillance tape was edited so viewers couldn’t see who dropped the pipe bomb.

Now, three years later, it’s been discovered that it wasn’t a passerby who found the pipe bomb at all. Rather, it was a U.S. Capitol policeman in plainclothes.

After the plainclothes officer told the responding police officers, they proceeded to finish their lunch in their vehicles.

Sara Gonzales has questions.

“How did the Secret Service fail to find a bomb prior to Harris’ arrival? Why did operators in the Capitol Police Command Center deliberately redirect CCTV cameras away from the pipe bomb investigation and detonation? Why do the Secret Service Agent and MPD officer feel safe enough to finish their lunch before investigating a pipe bomb 15 feet away?” Gonzales asks.

None of it is adding up.

“We may not ever know the truth,” Gonzales says. “But something severely stinks about that entire day.”

VIDEO PROOF: Nancy Pelosi's head of security LIED about January 6

David Lazarus was Nancy Pelosi’s head of security on January 6, 2021, and his testimony was key in the prosecution of several defendants.

However, Capitol CCTV footage can now be released to the public that appears to prove Lazarus lied in court about where he was on that fateful day.

Lazarus was initially brought in to corroborate the account of another Capitol police officer, Harry Dunn.

“So, Lazarus was brought in to corroborate Harry Dunn’s perjury,” Sara Gonzales says, noting that his lies “were used to put innocent people in prison, ruin their lives, ruin their family’s lives.”

Investigative journalist Steve Baker has been leading the charge in exposing what really happened on January 6, and at this point, he believes that this was all “allowed to happen.”

“I’ve harvested a day in the life of Harry Dunn from the Capitol CCTV video, and I can’t corroborate anything that he has said that he did that day that made him the hero of the day, that gave him the privilege of earning a Congressional Medal,” Baker explains.

“And now he’s running for Congress,” he adds.

As for whether or not Baker believes the “insurrection” was orchestrated, he definitely doesn’t believe it was all spontaneous.

“There were absolutely, irrefutably, agents provocateur in the crowd. They were there. Who were they working for? I don’t know,” Baker explains.

While the Capitol Police didn’t “draw first blood,” the provocateurs did. Then, the police allowed them in the building.

“There’s the video of the cop squirting a little tear gas canister at the first two guys coming through the window instead of drawing her weapon. I have never quite reconciled myself with that,” Baker says.

“It was allowed to go too far.”

Pelosi’s head of security likely PERJURED himself with THIS bold Jan. 6 LIE

Steve Baker is one of only five journalists with access to the full 41,000 hours of January 6 tapes.

“He has been working on the January 6th puzzle for a while now, and his efforts have been frustrated over and over again by the politics in Washington when he is just trying to find the truth,” says Glenn Beck.

Today, Steve joins Glenn again to discuss a new piece of the puzzle: whether Pelosi’s head of security perjured himself in the Oath Keepers trial.

On October 3rd, 2022, “Jeffrey Nestler, assistant U.S. attorney, approached the lectern ... and said to Judge Amit Mehta, ... 'We have a rogue attorney that is about to release some FBI 302s,” which are confidential interviews kept under strict lock and key.

“Judge Amit Mehta did something that I have never seen before,” Steve tells Glenn. “He actually directed the media pool to put out a tweet and threaten this particular attorney and let him know that if he released those sealed documents, he would have him held in contempt of court.”

“And right then, I went, ‘What are in those documents?’” says Steve.

While the documents are still sealed, we do know that “the documents themselves were the actual FBI interviews of one of these Capitol Police officers, and the primary problem that the government has with those documents is that the testimony was changed.”

In the first testimony, the officer reported that his interaction with the Oath Keepers was positive.

He claimed that “the Oath Keepers lined up between him and the more agitated protesters and assisted him in keeping them off of him and helping him de-escalate,” Steve explains.

However, in a second interview that occurred only three months later, his “testimony was changed into an aggravated, contentious event with the Oath Keepers, as well as the creation of a second event to explain the first FBI interview that never happened,” continues Steve.

Because Steve has access to the tapes, he was able to pinpoint the exact moment when this alleged contentious encounter with the Oath Keepers occurred.

“Tell me about ... what the story was in the testimony and then what you found on the tape,” says Glenn.

To hear Steve’s shocking report, watch the clip below.
