Video: Thug throws 62-year-old nurse halfway down concrete steps in unprovoked attack. Then he tosses her farther down, appears to stomp on her head.

A man with a lengthy rap sheet was caught on surveillance video throwing a 62-year-old nurse down a flight of concrete steps at a Seattle train station earlier this month — and then he followed up the unprovoked attack by tossing her farther down the steps and apparently stomping on her head.

Alexander Jay, 40, was charged with second-degree assault in connection with the attack, KIRO-TV reported, citing charging documents from King County prosecutors.

What are the details?

The woman exited a train at the Chinatown-International District station and walked up the stairs March 2.

Surveillance video shows Jay running up the adjacent escalator and meeting her at the top:

He then throws the victim down the concrete stairs backward:

As the woman comes to a stop on the middle landing, Jay follows her down the stairs, grabs her, and throws her down the second set of stairs.

The woman grabs a railing, which prevents her from falling a far as she did the first time, but Jay is seen coming at her again and even appearing to stomp on her head.

Jay then walks back up the stairs and leaves the station, while a security guard jogs over to help the woman, who suffered three broken ribs and a broken clavicle, KIRO reported.

The Tri-City Herald said authorities located Jay the next day about a half-mile from the scene of the attack. Jay was booked on a Department of Corrections warrant, KIRO said.

Jay has many prior convictions in Washington, including burglary, theft, selling stolen property, and several instances of domestic violence, KIRO added, citing court documents.

The station added that Jay had prior convictions in California for theft, drug possession, auto theft, and burglary and that Washington courts have issued more than 15 bench warrants for him for failing to attend hearings — so the state asked for $150,000 bail in this latest case.

What else?

Conservative columnist and commentator Jason Rantz of KTTH-AM noted that police issued a public alert about the attack the same day it occurred: “The woman described the suspect as a black male, approximately 30 years old, 6 feet tall, thin build, wearing a grey sweatshirt, grey sweatpants, dirty white tennis shoes, and a dark grey or green puffy jacket. He also had a distinctive cross tattoo on his left cheek."

But Rantz said the Seattle Times published a story about the attack about 90 minutes after the public alert was issued and left out Jay's race: “The 62-year-old woman described the suspect as 6 feet tall with a thin build and who appeared to be in his 30s, police said. He had a cross tattooed on his left cheek, she said."

"The suspect’s race isn’t directly relevant to the crime," Rantz said. "There’s no suggestion he attacked his victim for being white. But the woke, race-obsessed Seattle Times made a curious decision to exclude the suspect’s race when he was out on the loose. The detail was relevant in the context of being used to help locate him."

Rantz added that neither KIRO nor the Herald mentioned that police said Jay is homeless.

"Is Jay’s status as homeless relevant to the story? Absolutely. Activists and politicians continue to pretend that Seattle’s homeless population isn’t dangerous; that they’re just like you or me, just one paycheck away from a life on the streets," Rantz said, adding that "too often, generally speaking, left-wing reporters and editors believe that if they label a criminal homeless, it’ll somehow define the entire homeless population. It’s a ridiculous position fueled by ideology, bias, and ignorance."

Washington state trooper of 22 years delivers emotional sign-off after being fired because of vaccine mandate: 'Gov. Jay Inslee can kiss my a**'

A veteran Washington State trooper delivered an emotional final sign-off after being forced out of his job because of the state's vaccine mandate. The officer thanked all of his coworkers, but had utter disdain for Washington Gov. Jay Inslee, who instituted the vaccine mandate.

Video has gone viral of a Washington state trooper in Yakima County saying his final goodbye to his colleagues. He also sent a message to Inslee for enacting a vaccine mandate that requires state workers to be vaccinated against COVID-19 before Monday or lose their jobs.

"This is my final sign-off after 22 years serving the citizens of the state of Washington, I've been asked to leave because I am dirty," the officer said in a reference to him being unvaccinated.

"Numerous fatalities, injuries, I've worked sick, I've played sick, buried lots of friends over these years," the unnamed officer said over the police radio in his patrol car.

"I'd like to thank you guys, as well as the citizens of Yakima County, as well as my fellow officers within the valley," he continued. "Without you guys I wouldn't have been very successful. You've kept me safe and gotten me home to my family every night. Thank you for that."

"Wish I could say more but this is it," the trooper said. "So State 1034 this is the last time you'll hear me in a state patrol car."

The Washington state trooper signed off by blasting the governor, "And Jay Inslee can kiss my a**."

A radio operator responded to the final message by thanking the veteran trooper for his years of service.

"You've taken on many roles in your time with the patrol," a woman is heard saying on the radio. "In your first year, you delivered a baby while on patrol."

The radio operator listed the trooper's numerous accomplishments while he was on the police force.

"You've been a great role model and a mentor for all the young troopers serving in the area by sharing your knowledge and experience throughout the years," she said. "Thank you for your service."

The video was shared on Twitter by Seattle conservative radio host and journalist Jason Rantz, who noted that the former officer will appear on his radio show on Monday.

The video — which has been viewed more than 730,000 times in fewer than 24 hours — evoked support for the fired trooper.

Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) wrote, "God bless this trooper," and included the anti-Biden saying "Let's go Brandon."

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) called the man a "patriot."

Actor Nick Searcy reacted by saying, "Democrats empower the absolute worst people among us."

Conservative activist Amy Kremer commented, "God bless this officer. Grateful for his 22 yrs of service."

TheBlaze executive producer Keith Malinak remarked, "The #vaxcult claims another victim through a hideous, un-American mandate. (Or only strengthens another backbone) God bless, trooper."

Juanita Broaddrick said, "Bless this unvaccinated State Trooper's heart. We love you."

Conservative activist Kyle Kashuv proposed, "Police Chief in Florida should reach out to this officer — I'm sure we'd gladly love to have him."

Teacher ordered to take down 'political' Thin Blue Line flag honoring her brother, a former cop — but Black Lives Matter, LGBTQ symbols are just fine

A school district in western Washington state ordered a teacher to take down a pro-police Thin Blue Line flag in her classroom that honors her brother since it's a "political symbol" and could cause a "disruption" — yet Black Lives Matter and LGBTQ symbols and messages apparently are just fine, Jason Rantz of KTTH-AM reported.

What are the details?

Chris Sutherland — the brother of the unnamed teacher at Marysville Middle School, which is about 40 minutes north of Seattle — is a former officer who served with the Marysville Police Department and also was a school resource officer during a deadly high school shooting in the city, Rantz wrote.

Sutherland's sister initially placed a Thin Blue Line sticker on her laptop to honor her brother and other law enforcement officers, KTTH noted — but an assistant principal objected to the sticker.

Rantz — citing a human resources document on the incident — reported that the assistant principal had "concerns about how students, families, and community members might interpret what the image is intending to communicate, and that this interpretation may cause a disruption to the learning environment."

But the objections were soon dropped, KTTH reported.

The HR document added that the the teacher also displayed a Thin Blue Line flag on her classroom's bulletin board surrounded by photos of her brother, Rantz wrote.

— Jason Rantz on KTTH Radio (@jasonrantz) 1632704452.0

Well, that prompted a second assistant principal to order the teacher to take down the flag, KTTH said.

"They told her that it's controversial to have that flag up," Sutherland told Rantz on his KTTH program. "That it makes kids and staff feel unsafe, which to me, that does not make sense at all."

Rantz added that an HR representative from Marysville School District 25 sent the teacher a letter of clarification about the issue indicating officials were "highly concerned about the impact of this political symbol on students, staff, and families of Marysville Middle School" and that there were "concerns from other staff members about how this political symbol might negatively impact the overall professional work environment."

Remove the flag!

The letter ordered the teacher to remove the flag and told her her to "refrain from using the 'Thin Blue Line Flag' symbol" in the classroom, KTTH said, adding that failure to do so "may result in further disciplinary action."

The district confirmed to the station that the situation is a personnel matter and wouldn't comment. Rantz added that while the letter of clarification said the district supports police, a district spokesperson wouldn't explain why a Thin Blue Line flag is banned for being political while Black Lives Matter and LGBTQ messages and symbols are allowed.

BLM, LGBTQ messages apparently are no problem

Sutherland told Rantz that his sister has seen BLM messages in classrooms and "hanging on walls, which she was told is OK. Just for whatever reason, just the Thin Blue Line flag cannot be hung up there." Rantz added that the teacher also displayed an LGBTQ pride flag to support a gay family member.

Yet, KTTH said, symbols of BLM and LGBTQ — which have political undertones — haven't been targeted by the district for removal.

Teacher takes down Thin Blue Line flag

Rantz said the teacher took down her Thin Blue Line flag display but told the district that the ordeal "has been the most traumatic and hostile" experience for her at the school to date.

She added that the order to remove the flag came from "an agenda rather than really wanting to gain any understanding of me, who I am, or my story," she added in respond to the HR rep, KTTH reported.

Mother of slain Marine unleashes on 'treasonous' Biden in surprise call to radio show: 'You did this to my son'

The mother of a United States Marine killed in the terrorist attack outside the Kabul airport last week tore into President Joe Biden during a radio interview on Friday, placing ultimate blame for her young son's death at the feet of the president.

Kathy McCollum — the mother of 20-year-old Lance Cpl. Rylee McCollum, whose child will be born in just weeks — called into Andrew Wilkow's SiriusXM radio show, called Biden a "b***h," and then unloaded on the president.

"That feckless, dementia-ridden piece of crap just sent my son to die," she said, speaking of Biden. "I woke up at four o'clock this morning, two Marines at my door telling me my son was dead. So, to have her on right before me and listen to that piece of crap talk about diplomatic crap with frickin' Taliban terrorists who just freakin blew up my son and no, nothing, to not say anything about, 'Oh my god, I'm so sorry for families.' So, my son is gone."

Then McCollum took aim at Democrats who voted for Biden in the 2020 election.

"You just killed my son, with a dementia-ridden piece of crap who doesn't even know he's in the White House," she said. "He still thinks he's a senator."

McCollum explained that she called into Wilkow's show, which obviously surprised the radio host, to help her "process through anger instead of tears."

— Jason Rantz on KTTH Radio (@jasonrantz) 1630189781.0

The grieving mother added that she believes her son "died in vain" because of how Biden facilitated the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.

"I never thought in 1 million years that he would die for nothing, for nothing because a feckless, dementia-ridden piece of crap who decided he wanted a photo-op on Sept. 11 — that's what kills me," McCollum said. "I wanted my son to represent our country, to fight for my country. But I never thought that a feckless piece of crap would send him to his death and smirk on television while he's talking about people dying with his nasty smirk."

McCollum said that Biden "needs to be removed from office," adding that her son would not have died if Donald Trump were still president.

McCollum ended the call by labeling Biden a "treasonous man" and a "disgusting human being." She also again blamed Democrats for her son's tragic death.

"You did this to my son, every Democrat that's listening, you did this to my son," she said.

Ex-Navy SEAL who killed bin Laden says Biden is a 'disaster' and should be impeached: 'This president surrendered to the Taliban'

Former Navy SEAL Robert O'Neill, who has been credited as the person who killed Osama Bin Laden in a 2011 raid, blasted how President Joe Biden is handling the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, and called for him to be impeached. O'Neill believes the withdrawal has been such a disaster that he demanded the resignation of Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley.

During a Fox News interview, O'Neill obliterated Biden for his foreign policy decisions in Afghanistan, especially in the country's capital of Kabul.

"We were pretty good for the past four and a half years at impeaching a president for no reason," O'Neill said, referring to the impeachment of former President Donald Trump. "If anything deserves an impeachment, it's right now, because we don't do this. We don't ask the enemy for permission. We go in there. We crush them. We win every single time, and then we leave with our people."

O'Neill was particularly peeved that Biden or the military generals haven't ordered U.S. forces to enter the city of Kabul to extract Americans.

"Look, I don't want to be in charge, but if I was, oh, I want to get the Americans? Cool. Give me nine guys," O'Neill said on Friday's cable TV appearance. "I'm going to walk through the streets and I'm going to kill everyone I see and I'm gonna grab the Americans. It is not difficult. But we have these people who are in charge that are a disgrace. I'm amazed that there hasn't been at least 30 generals and admirals that haven't resigned or been fired today."

"Every veteran, Marine, Airman, and Navy SEAL, Coast Guardsmen, everyone I've talked to today, all they tell me is they feel gross," O'Neill continued. "And that's how you should feel, you should feel gross. We don't ask the Taliban permission. You know what we do? We kick their ass. That's it."

"I'm very, very angry because over 400 combat missions in so many different fields of combat, I have never once lost a fight," the ex-SEAL said. "My team has never lost a fight. I don't know any Marine who's lost a fight, and that includes the Taliban," he continued. "When we meet them face to face, we crush them."

"It's infuriating that I have to talk to my combat veteran friends that fought for so many years, and they're wondering why, why do we fight? For these people that just hid there until we elected people in suits that can't do anything," O'Neill stated. "And then they surrender? Are you kidding me? This president surrendered to the Taliban. Does it get any more embarrassing? Should I not be embarrassed as an American right now, wondering what I fought for?"

O'Neill noted that "we have people that can handle" the Afghanistan withdrawal, but bashed current politicians, "Democrats and Republicans," who all they do is "talk, talk, talk" to get re-elected.

Robert O'Neill: Joe Biden needs to be impeached for what he has done in Afghanistan. https://t.co/pkv95RLSv2

— Jason Rantz on KTTH Radio (@jasonrantz) 1629509205.0

Earlier this week, O'Neill slammed Biden as a "disaster," and asked if "anyone in the media gonna hold this administration responsible?"

Of the Afghanistan evacuation, O'Neill commented, "This is the worst loss in American history. Our most popular president has vanished. Prove me wrong."

The former Navy SEAL asked, "Have any of our generals and admirals resigned out of disgrace yet?" He also called for Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley to resign. O'Neill tweeted, "There are Afghans falling to their deaths off of our retreating aircraft. Has @thejointstaff resigned yet?"

He mentioned on Twitter that "Brits, French and German troops are getting their people out." He asked the European nations to "please grab some of our folks" in Kabul because "the United States doesn't have the stones" to rescue them.

The U.S. has confined its evacuation plans to only Kabul's Hamid Karzai International Airport. There have been mixed messages about why the U.S. military doesn't venture into Kabul. Biden claims Americans have safe access to the airport, but the U.S. embassy in Afghanistan warned Americans not to travel to the Kabul airport because there were security concerns.

This week, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said the U.S. does not have "the capability to go out and collect large numbers of people."

Meanwhile, there are reports that Britain, France, and Germany are conducting missions in Kabul to rescue their citizens and allies.

Video captures brutal daylight beatdown in Seattle amid crime surge. The victim is reportedly still spitting up blood.

Surveillance video captured an assailant viciously attacking and robbing a man in broad daylight in Seattle, Washington, last month as critics argue the city has nowhere near enough police presence to crack down on soaring crime.

What happened?

The victim, a 22-year-old freelance photographer, was allegedly vacationing in the city when he was beaten unconscious and robbed while walking in the Mount Baker neighborhood. He is reportedly still suffering from severe injuries.

According to Seattle police, the attacker approached the photographer, known on social media as Caliber Visuals, at around 6 p.m. local time. The two appeared to shake hands before things unexpectedly turned violent.

"The suspect then threw the victim to the ground, stomped on him and kicked him repeatedly, knocking the victim unconscious. The suspect then rummaged through the victim's pockets and stole his wallet and keys before walking away," police reported.

Police added that a bystander later came to the victim's aid by alerting authorities. After medics arrived at the scene, the victim was transported to the hospital, where "he received treatment for head trauma and significant injuries to his face."

In a post on a GoFundMe page he started, the victim claimed that he suffered a brain hemorrhage and a fractured left eye during the assault. He added that four days after the attack he was still "spitting up blood."

The assailant reportedly stole the victim's cell phone, wallet, $900 in cash, and car keys that cost several hundred dollars to replace.

Police are looking for help identifying the attacker, whom they describe as a "Black male, 5'10", 180 lbs., with a medium build."

What else?

Conservative Seattle talk radio host Jason Rantz argued that brazen attacks such as the one against the freelance photographer are becoming more prevalent amid the city's crime surge and defund the police movement.

"Mount Baker is known to have a crime issue, but the city doesn't have enough police to proactively walk, drive, or bike around neighborhoods as a deterrent," Rantz noted in an opinion piece about the attack.

Last month, a couple in Seattle was attacked and beaten with a machete, rocks, and a 5-foot wooden pole while attempting to retrieve stolen items from a homeless encampment. Following that attack, Rantz claimed that police in the city are being prevented from monitoring homeless camps.

A worker near the scene of the latest attack argued that police are being hamstrung and consequently criminals are becoming emboldened.

"It's disheartening to watch this happen around our city, and nothing's being done about it," the worker told KIRO-TV. "It's been going on for years, and it seems to be the city council has let this continue to happen."

"We're tired of this," he added. "There's no reason we should be walking around in fear."

Lindsey Graham proposes stealing play from Texas Dems over massive spending bill: 'Hell yeah I would leave'

Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham (S.C.) suggested Sunday that Republicans should steal from the playbook of Texas House Democrats and flee Washington, D.C., if Democrats attempt to ram through President Joe Biden's reconciliation package without GOP support.

What is the background?

Senate Democrats unveiled a $3.5 trillion package last week that seeks to advance Biden's agenda. According to the Washington Post, the package "would expand Medicare benefits, boost federal safety net programs and combat climate change."

The massive spending bill does not, however, address infrastructure. America's roads and bridges would be dealt with in a separate, $1 trillion spending bill that has bipartisan support.

Unfortunately for America's piggy bank, Democrats see the reconciliation package as a "critical companion piece" to the infrastructure agreement, according to the Post.

What did Graham say?

During an interview on Fox News, Graham said he opposes the massive spending package — and would leave Washington to deny the Senate a quorum to effectively filibuster the bill.

"Before Republicans beat up on the Democrats in Texas for leaving Texas too much, if for some reason [congressional Democrats] ... bring that bill to the floor of the United States Senate, the $3.5 trillion bill — you got to have a quorum to pass a bill in the Senate. I would leave before I'd let that happen," Graham said.

"So to my Republican colleagues, we may learn something from our Democratic friends in Texas when it comes to avoiding a $3.5 trillion tax and spend package: leave town," Graham added.

When asked by show host Maria Bartiromo whether he would, in fact, skip town to deny Democrats quorum, Graham doubled down.

"Hell yeah I would leave," Graham responded.

"I will use everything lawfully in my toolbox to prevent rampant inflation. A $3.5 trillion infrastructure package that's got nothing to do with infrastructure, that is a tax and spend dream of the of the socialist left," Graham explained. "If it takes me not showing up to stop that, I will do it."

— (((Jason Rantz))) on KTTH Radio (@jasonrantz) 1626647576.0

Anything else?

Even if Republicans did not skip town to deny quorum in the Senate, Democrats don't appear to have enough support to pass their massive reconciliation package.

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), the most-moderate Democratic senator and probably the most powerful man in Washington, has said he is "very, very disturbed" about some elements of the Democratic reconciliation package, especially those targeting fossil fuels.

Still, even if Senate Democrats won Manchin's approval, he has voiced concerns over the massive spending. Manchin said last week that any legislation passed should be paid for, because, "I don't think we need more debt."

Unhinged hardware store worker shoves customer with bat, throws punches after COVID-19 mask dispute: 'That's not customer service'

It would seem that social distancing wasn't too high up on the COVID-19 protocol list for one Seattle hardware store worker caught on cellphone video shoving a customer with a bat and then throwing punches.

What are the details?

Bobby Dixon told KOMO-TV he and a friend entered Tweedy and Popp Hardware at Lake City to buy screws on Sunday. Dixon said he wore a mask but his friend didn't, the station said, adding that signs posted on the front doors told customers that face coverings were required.

Dixon told KOMO that employees told his friend to mask up or leave — but his friend informed them he was fully vaccinated. The station said employees indicated mask-wearing was a store policy, and then things went downhill fast.

"It was a cussing match back and forth between them," Dixon told KOMO.

The station said Dixon's friend turned to go back outside, and Dixon headed for the cash register. But Dixon told KOMO that because the cashier was crude and offensive to him, as he was walking out he decided to stop, turn around, and head back to complain about the poor treatment.

"You work in customer service, and if you're going to be rude, I'm going to take your name down and give it to your boss," Dixon added to the station.

Then bat man showed up — which is when the video begins.

"You're going to hit me with that bat? You taunt me with that bat?" Dixon is heard asking the bat-wielding employee, who ends up shoving Dixon out the door and punching him.

"It was actually quite terrifying," Dixon told KOMO. "I've never had anybody come at me with a weapon like that, and it was flight or fight, and I was trying to get out of there, and he kept coming at me super aggressively."

Jason Rantz of KTTH-AM said Dixon's friend recorded the video of the fight, which shows Dixon beginning to fight back and landing a kick:

Things soon come to a close, and the employee heads back into the store — but Dixon and his friend continue to exchange words with both store employees.

— (((Jason Rantz))) on KTTH Radio (@jasonrantz) 1623784635.0

Now what?

KOMO said store employees refused to speak to the station about the incident, and messages left at the corporate offices of Ace Hardware — which supplies the store — were not immediately returned.

The station added that a report was filed with Seattle police, and detectives said they are trying to sort out conflicting versions of the incident. Police told KOMO that the employee they contacted claimed neither customer was wearing a mask. Dixon told the station he had a mask on while inside the store — but the cellphone video shows him not wearing a mask.

In addition, the police report indicates the store employee claimed both men attacked him even though the video shows only Dixon fighting the store employee.

"I wasn't threatening, I never made any threats, and neither did my friend," Dixon told Rantz during his KTTH radio show. "I never touched the dude until he came at me, and I was just trying to defend myself."

Dixon added to Rantz, "I wasn't trying to fight. I just kept trying to de-fuse the situation. And you know, you look in the video, he kept just coming towards me, and you even hear me tell him 'stop.'"

According to Rantz, Dixon said he intends to press charges and that the employee "will have to be terminated."

"That's not customer service, and that's not acceptable, and Ace Hardware needs to handle that," Dixon added to Rantz.

Dixon also said Ace Hardware should release surveillance video from inside the store and that it will prove he's telling the truth, Rantz reported.

"I'm kind of shook up," Dixon told Rantz. "It's kind of humiliating because I'm trying to run a business out here, and it's not a good look for a business owner to be involved in something like that, but I want to clear the air."

Chicago cops called out by columnist for letting women twerk on top of police vehicle, encouraging 'mayhem' in the streets

A Chicago Sun-Times columnist called out city police for letting a trio of women twerk on top of a police vehicle as seen in a viral cellphone video — and for encouraging "mayhem" in the streets.

Looks like the Chicago Police Department's emphasis on "positive community interactions" is taking off! Great to se… https://t.co/2Nwz35vO5u

— CWBChicago (@CWBChicago) 1622922467.0

What are the details?

Mary Mitchell indicated in her piece that the notorious clip has received more than a million views and that it seems to be part of "some trend."

She recalled another viral moment a few years back when a pair of women were caught on video twerking atop a police car in Rochester, New York.

Rochester. NY. Let's get it. 🌚 https://t.co/bsty28lYL5

— Chris Barber (@FollowZeLeader) 1488033674.0

Rochester Police Chief Michael L. Ciminelli told TheBlaze in a statement after the 2017 incident that the clip portrayed "an inappropriate and unacceptable image for the Rochester Police Department" and that the issue was "addressed."

Late last month, St. Louis officials and residents were left disgusted by videos showing a group of late-night revelers jumping on top of a police car with an officer inside.

Videos show people dancing on top of St. Louis police car on Washington Avenueyoutu.be

Mitchell indeed noted that twerking on top of police vehicles has happened in Jackson, Mississippi, St. Louis, Seattle, and Miami Beach — "and is largely viewed as an offensive act against police."

More from her piece:

What makes the Chicago incident so interesting is the police SUV was slowly rolling down the street as if whoever was driving was in a parade.

A spokesman for the Chicago Police Department said the incident is under investigation.

Frankly, if allowing young women to climb onto a police cruiser and gyrate is part of the new community policing strategy, the police must go back to the drawing board.

Because if one of the women had fallen off the SUV and been run over, not only would the city be facing a huge lawsuit, but there is a real possibility that the partiers would have turned violent.

It is also disconcerting that residents in some neighborhoods, like Park Manor on the South Side, have been recently under siege by noise, loud music and inappropriate behavior.

A Chicago resident told Mitchell in an email that "hundreds of cars, trucks and motor vehicles" had been "parading down our streets until 4 a.m. playing loud music, using profanity, and displaying all types of anti-social behavior such as urinating in bushes ..."

"I hope we can get some attention brought to this situation that is affecting the quality of life of our residents," resident Niena Feme added to Mitchell. "We are stakeholders; we pay mortgages, taxes and are expected to maintain our properties. Yet we cannot enjoy a level of peace that any community would desire."

Mitchell agreed, noting that "Chicagoans, especially those living on the South and West sides, live with more lawless behavior than I've ever seen."

But she added that it's no help when police seem to "facilitate the mayhem."

Anything else?

TheBlaze has frequently reported on what does indeed appear to be a trend regarding police across America enduring a growing level of bolder and bolder abuse from citizens.

Such as the viral clip of people dumping buckets of water on New York City police officers — and cops having little choice but to simply walk away as they're doused over and over:

Sure, the aforementioned incidents may not include much if any physical harm, but when people realize there are little if any consequences for abusing police in other ways, how long will it be before it gets boring and they resort to real violence?

What is clear is that the vehicle's number is 8289, three women are on its hood and roof, and a crowd of excited onlookers follow the moving vehicle on foot while recording cellphone video of the incident.

"The Chicago Police Department is aware of a video that surfaced on social media showing several females riding on a marked squad car," Deputy Director Tom Ahern said in a statement, WFLD-TV reported.

What did observers have to say?

Reactions to the clip on Twitter seemed mixed. While the women's behavior clearly is unacceptable to some observers, others have no problem with it — and even chided detractors:

  • "Until white people start treating them like human beings instead of animals..until you start respecting them and seeing their dignity and worth...you will continue to get the results you're getting," one commenter said.
  • Another user replied similarly: "1. Was the vehicle stolen? 2. Did anyone get arrested or hurt? 3. NOTHING to see here[;] the weather was nice and everyone had a great time."
  • "Yeah, how f***ing embarrassing that after literal centuries of police brutality & oppression, black people were allowed to dance in front of [police] and even delay their patrol by a few seconds," another commenter observed sarcastically. "It was much less embarrassing when police just shot them in the face every day."

Others disagreed, saying such behavior is indicative of the brazen mistreatment of and disrespect for police some people have demonstrated of late:

  • "If you don't see anything wrong with this video, it shows just how sick our society has become," one commenter wrote. "The person in the squad car needs to disciplined. This shows very little and poor respect for everyone involved."
  • "Some of us consider normalizing the decline of society to be a problem," another user said.
  • "To the Chicago PD HQ, why in the name of God are you allowing this to happen???" another commenter asked.

A trend afoot?

Just a little over a week ago, St. Louis officials and residents were left disgusted by videos showing a group of late-night revelers jumping on top of a police car with an officer inside.

It appears police across America have been facing a growing level of abuse as citizens doling it out are getting bolder and bolder about it.

Who can forget the viral clip of people dumping buckets of water on New York City police officers — and cops having little choice but to simply walk away as they're doused over and over?

And, of course, there was the April clip of an anti-cop protester recording himself walking along a row of Portland officers, flipping off each one of them as he bellowed, "F*** you! Quit your f***in' job!"
