Biden trips over words, stares vacantly during WH briefing that erupts into mayhem — Jean-Pierre steps in to rescue

President Joe Biden made a surprise White House press briefing appearance on Friday afternoon that quickly exploded into disorder.

Biden kicked off the briefing by bragging about the administration's supposedly thriving economy. After his speech, the president agreed to take a couple of questions, requesting that White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre call on the reporters for him.

'I mean, he came today, and you got to see him. And you were here.'

Though reporters had several opportunities to pose questions to the president, not one asked about Hurricane Helene or the government's response to the disaster. Instead, many of the inquiries regarded Israel and its potential planned reaction to Iran's attacks.

One journalist asked Biden, "There have obviously been a number of crises that the country has been facing over the past several days with the hurricane, with the port strike, with the situation in the Middle East. Can you talk about how your vice president, who is running for the presidency, has worked on these crises and what role she has played over the past several days?"

Biden fumbled through his response, stating, "Well, she's— I'm in constant contact with her. She's aware of where we're all— we're singing from the same song sheet. We uh— she helped pass all the laws that are being employed now. She was a major player in everything we've done, including passage of legislation, which we were told we could never pass. And so she's been— and her staff is interlocked with mine in terms of all the things we're doing."

Immediately after Biden concluded his response, the room spiraled into disorder as many reporters shouted out their questions, attempting to get more answers from the president while they still had the short opportunity to do so.

Biden responded by cracking a smile and appearing to stare vacantly into the crowd of reporters as White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre attempted to regain control of the room.

"I didn't call on you, sir," Jean-Pierre shouted at one reporter.

On Biden's way out the door, a journalist asked Biden whether he would reconsider dropping out of the presidential race.

Biden turned around and jokingly replied, "I'm back in."

The room roared with laughter.

Jean-Pierre then proceeded with the press briefing, opening up her remarks by stating, "This week, the United States has faced a number of competing challenges, from tensions in the Middle East to a port strike that threatened our nation's supply chains to a historic hurricane that washed away entire communities. Moments like these underscore the importance of American leadership and resolve, and they show what is possible when we come together."

Meanwhile, those on the ground in the areas impacted by the disaster have repeatedly slammed the administration for its lackluster response, claiming it has failed almost entirely to assist those in need.

Jean-Pierre contended that "a wide range of bipartisan officials, including the governors of every affected state, are working together with us and have praised the federal response."

However, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp (R), whose state was impacted by the hurricane, criticized the administration last week, stating, "We called the White House. We spoke to the president's chief of staff, the FEMA administrator, and said, 'Look, you're sending the signal that you're not paying attention to some of these rural communities.'"

Jean-Pierre reiterated that the government needs additional funding for disaster relief. She denied claims that FEMA funds were redirected to support illegal aliens.

A reporter started to ask Jean-Pierre, "This was President Biden's first time, correct, to the press briefing room since he—"

"Yeah," Jean-Pierre replied. "And you're welcome. You're welcome. I know where this question's gonna go. It's gonna be great."

"It's gonna be great," she repeated with a laugh.

"Why didn't he come in the three and a half years before?" the reporter questioned.

Jean-Pierre threw up her hand and said, "I mean, he came today, and you got to see him. And you were here."

"Oh, man. Come on, come on. He was here. He took your questions," she said.

Karine Jean-Pierre throws TEMPER TANTRUM over questions about Biden's health

The White House press corps is not happy with Karine Jean-Pierre — as she just can’t seem to stop repeating lies from the White House regarding the president’s health.

“I never answered the question incorrectly,” Jean-Pierre responded to a frustrated member of the press. “That is not true. I was asked about a medical exam, I was asked about a physical, that was in the line of questions that I answered.”

“And I said ‘No, he did not have a medical exam,’ and I still stand by that. Matter of fact, the president still stands by that. He had a verbal check-in, that is something that the president has a couple times a week,” Jean-Pierre continued.

When another reporter asked the name of the doctor with whom President Biden has weekly check-ins, Jean-Pierre got angrier.

“I am telling you right now that I am not sharing, confirming names from here. It is a security reason. I am not going to do that Ed, it doesn’t matter how hard you push me, it doesn’t matter how angry you get with me. I’m not going to confirm a name,” she said.

Pat Gray is confused as to why it’s a “security reason.”

“If she mentions the guy's name, if it’s Dr. Cannard, does that mean people are going to try to kill him? Is that what the security issue is? Are you endangering his life by saying, ‘Yeah, he treated the president?’ This is BS. Come on,” Gray says.

Jean-Pierre then went on to claim that it was for the doctor’s “privacy.”

“It is inappropriate, it is not acceptable,” she added.

“He’s the president’s doctor,” Gray laughs. “That just ruins your career.”

In another press briefing, Jean-Pierre appeared to be on the brink of tears.

“We literally do everything that we can, my team does, that we can, to make sure that we get the answers to you,” she said. “And sometimes we disagree, sometimes we are not in agreement. But you know what, that’s democracy.”

“And so to say that I’m holding information, or allude to anything else, is unfair, is really, really unfair,” she continued. “And I will admit, I will be the first one to admit, sometimes I get it wrong. At least I admit that.”

Then it got worse, as Jean-Pierre told reporters sometimes she doesn’t “have the information,” but again, at least she admits it.

When she was asked whether or not Biden would submit to a cognitive test, Jean-Pierre said more of absolutely nothing.

“Everything that he does day in and day out, as it relates to delivering for the American people, is a cognitive test.”

'If he's awake': Karine Jean-Pierre has another brutal press conference about Biden's stamina

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre could not truly explain why President Joe Biden performed poorly during last Thursday's debate despite being pressed repeatedly during Wednesday's press conference.

Jean-Pierre repeatedly insisted Biden did not perform well because of a combination of having a cold, having jet lag from his recent trip overseas, and simply working hard for the American people. When confronted by Fox News' Jacqui Heinrich that the "fatigue" and "cold" excuses did not make sense because Biden had been at Camp David for days prior to the debate, Jean-Pierre became defensive.

"Have you had a cold before?" Jean-Pierre asked.

"Of course I have," Heinrich replied.

"Come on, come on, Jacqui. ... Hold on a second. There's a cold. There's a jet lag. You combine that he continues to work on the, for the American people day in and day out around the clock. Things happen. Things happen, and the cold thing is something that you all pointed out during his debate. We didn't even point that out. You all pointed out when you heard his — his voice being hoarse because he knew he had to push through," Jean-Pierre said.

'Interrupting a colleague’s question with shouted commentary is inappropriate.'

"He knew he has to power through. That's what presidents do. If you care about this country, and you don't care about yourself, you care about the American people, you care about delivering for this country, you care about how you're going to continue to work every day in and day out. You push through," she continued.

Heinrich also asked Jean-Pierre if Biden takes daily naps in the afternoon. Jean-Pierre did not deny the report, instead saying, "Let me be very clear about this. This is a president that wakes up every morning and puts the American people first. That's what he does. He does that every single day. That is his focus."

Things in the briefing room became even more interesting when it was NBC News senior White House correspondent Kelly O'Donnell's turn to ask questions.

"You're saying that he's absolutely running. ... And we would invite the president to come tell us that directly," O'Donnell told Jean-Pierre.

"If he's awake," Newsmax White House reporter James Rosen interjected.

"That's inappropriate," O'Donnell snapped back.

"As you heard from your colleague, the president of the WHCA [White House Correspondents' Association], that's inappropriate. Thank you, Kelly," Jean-Pierre said to Rosen.

"Interrupting a colleague’s question with shouted commentary is inappropriate. The briefing room is a forum for questions to be asked and answered with appropriate professional conduct," Heinrich posted on X.

Karine Jean-Pierre LIES, says Biden's NOT playing 'both sides' of pro-Palestinian protests

The Biden administration is doing its best to play both sides of the argument when it comes to the pro-Hamas protests in universities — and it’s not going unnoticed.

When White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was pressed on the issue by Fox News’ Peter Doocy, it was clear she did not know how to respond.

“I understand that President Biden historically has spoken very forcefully about anti-Semitism, but this week he’s not. He’s MIA. Is he that worried about losing the youth vote with these protesters?” Doocy asked.

“I’ll speak more broadly. I can’t speak to youth and support and voters, that’s not something I can do from here,” Jean-Pierre answered.

“The president has taken a lot of policy actions here, a lot that he knows that young people care about, and a lot of those actions are popular with those young folks,” she continued, noting that the president is offering the youth “breathing room” in regard to student debt.

She then went on to ramble about the climate crisis, which of course also had nothing to do with Doocy’s original question.

When questioned about whether or not Biden is playing both sides, she said, “No, he’s not doing a both sides scenario.”

Pat Gray doesn’t buy it for a second.

“You’re going to continue to lie and not answer questions that have been asked of you. That’s what you’re going to continue to do,” Gray says, annoyed.

Karine Jean-Pierre may face 'graceful EXIT' from White House, avoiding ugly optics

The White House is reportedly searching for avenues to oust beleaguered press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre in the face of her unsatisfactory performance, and Stu Burguiere isn’t surprised.

“The same conversations you’re having about Joe Biden and how he looks mentally incompetent and he maybe has dementia, are the same conversations they’re having behind the scenes in Washington. The issue is they have different loyalties,” Burguiere explains.

“The same thing is going on with Karine Jean-Pierre, because we’ve all had the same conversation here in the regular country, and in Washington, D.C., where basically the question is, like how does she have this job?” he adds.

Now, the New York Post is reporting that there’s been an attempted coup on Jean-Pierre, according to White House insiders.

“De Facto White House communications chief Anita Dunn, 66, the wife of Biden personal attorney Bob Bauer, told colleagues she had decided to call in prominent Democrats to explain to Jean-Pierre, 49, that the time was ripe to move on,” the Post reported.

Burguiere is shocked by one piece of information in that paragraph.

“Who the hell thought Karine Jean-Pierre was 49 years old?” Burguiere asks. “It’s just the fact that she has the intellect of an 18-year-old, and so I can’t believe she’s 49 years old. I’m literally stunned by that.”

The Post also reported that “Dunn claimed White House chief of staff Jeff Zients knew about and supported the cloak-and-dagger scheme to push Jean-Pierre out of the West Wing” and that “‘Jeff and Anita were trying to find Karine a graceful exit’ because of the ugly optics of removing her against her will.”

Burguiere calls it like it is.

“This is, of course, another example of the left eating its own,” he says.

KJP fails to land mental gymnastics routine when confronted over hypocrisy of Biden's accepted use of 'bloodbath'

The left's apoplexy over former President Donald Trump's recent of the well-worn term "bloodbath" continues to pay dividends.

The White House' repeated condemnations of the term exposed press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre to questions Tuesday about whether President Joe Biden's use of "bloodbath" was similarly deserving of a formal denunciation.

Jean-Pierre did not fare well in her attempt to reconcile Democratic outrage with Biden's culpability.

Quick background

On March 16, Trump used the word "bloodbath" in reference to the economic fallout of continued offshoring of jobs and automobile manufacturing plants under the Biden administration.

Trump addressed Chinese dictator Xi Jinping during his speech at the Dayton International Airport in Ohio, saying, "Let me tell you something ... those big monster car manufacturing plants that you're building in Mexico right now, and you think you're going to get that, you're going to not hire Americans, and you're going to sell the cars to us? No."

"We’re going to put a 100% tariff on every single car that comes across the line, and you’re not going to be able to sell those guys – if I get elected. Now, if I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the whole — that’s gonna be the least of it. It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country. That’ll be the least of it. But they're not going to sell those cars."

Blaze News previously reported that Democrats and the liberal media — including CBS News, Politico, NPR, Rolling Stone, the Los Angeles Times, and USA Today — rushed to mischaracterize Trump's remarks while glossing over their own use of the term in recent months and years.

The social media account for Biden's re-election campaign helped perpetuate the false narrative, posting a de-contextualized excerpt of the video with the caption, "Trump: If I don't get elected, it's gonna be a bloodbath. It's gonna be a bloodbath for the country."

Doubling down

Trump and the Republican Party doubled down on the use of the term this week, applying it in other contexts.

The Republican front-runner criticized the Biden administration's failed border policies while speaking to a crowd Tuesday in Grand Rapids, Michigan, at a podium emblazoned with a sign that read, "Stop Biden's Border Bloodbath," reported USA Today.

The Republican National Committee, similarly criticizing Biden over the fallout of his failure to secure the border, launched a website Tuesday entitled, "Biden Bloodbath."

The website claims that Biden "is allowing vicious criminals into the United States, and innocent Americans across the country are paying the price. Lethal drugs, cartels, gangs, and terrorists are taking advantage of the crisis to enter the U.S. and threaten America. This is an invasion aided and abetted by Joe Biden, supported by Democrats who vote for his dangerous and cruel policies. This is Biden's border bloodbath."

More mental gymnastics

When asked about Trump's latest use of the term bloodbath during the White House press briefing Tuesday, Jean-Pierre said, "We have to denounce any violent rhetoric that we hear, certainly from our leaders, right, that tears our country apart."

"Any type of violent rhetoric, we're going to denounce that," added Jean-Pierre. "It doesn't matter who it comes from, we're going to denounce it."

White House correspondent Peter Doocy sought clarification, asking Jean-Pierre, "So when Donald Trump is talking about a bloodbath, it is violent rhetoric. What was it when Joe Biden said in 2020, 'What we can't let happen is let this primary become a negative bloodbath?'"

Biden made the remark in March 2020 when campaigning against Sen. Bernie Sanders (I) in the Democratic primaries.

Doocy's question clearly put Jean-Pierre in a bind. After all, she had just vowed to denounce such "violent rhetoric" regardless of the source.

"So I'm going to be really mindful and careful about Donald Trump, but if you read — because he is a candidate — we're talking about a 2024 election, you should read what he said in its context. So you got to read what he said in context."

Doocy added, "I'm just saying, 'bloodbath' is an ugly word when Trump uses it. What is it when Biden uses it?"

"No, no, no," stammered Jean-Pierre. "Let's be very clear. You gotta actually ask me the question in the context of what it was said, right? And what was said when he said that, right, in his remarks, in his speech, right? And so that's being disingenuous in your question."

After Doocy followed up again with the direct quote from Biden, Jean-Pierre attempted to excuse the geriatric Democrat's language with the kind of context her allies previously denied Trump.

"He was talking about a group of people, a group of people," said Jean-Pierre. "That's what he's talking about. What the president was talking about during the primary was not to allow it to be the words and the primary and that election to become negative. Two different things. They're not the same. They're not the same, and your question is disingenuous."

While refusing to denounce Biden's use of allegedly "violent rhetoric," Jean-Pierre stressed that such denunciations were nevertheless important.

Before executing the in-person equivalent of an abrupt hang-up, the press secretary suggested that Trump's use of the word "bloodbath" in relation to the automotive industry was more inflammatory than Biden's use "because we saw what happened on January 6."

Q: Why was it acceptable for Biden to use the term "bloodbath" in 2020, but not when President Trump uses it?\n\nKARINE JEAN-PIERRE: *brain breaks*

KJP tries to blame $34 TRILLION national debt on Republicans

Joe Biden’s biggest accomplishment to date has just landed: The leader of the free world has led the United States to a national debt of $34 trillion.

However, Karine Jean-Pierre doesn’t see it that way. Rather, she thinks the Republicans are to thank for such an impressive number. Jean-Pierre claims that if you look at the data, “there’s a trickle-down debt,” which according to her, should be laid at the feet of the Republicans.

“Republican tax cuts are responsible for about 90% of it,” she tells reporters before saying that you have to exclude “emergency spending.”

Glenn Beck and Stu Burguiere can’t believe she’s trying to blame it on the right.

“Just in recent history, does anyone remember, I don’t know, $6 or $7 trillion we just spent on COVID?” Burguiere asks.

“Just don’t pay attention to the purse-spending,” Glenn mocks. “Well, it’s the purse-spending that’s the problem. It’s the emergency spending that’s the problem.”

Burguiere believes KJP mentioned “trickle-down” because she knows the term is negatively associated with Republicans, not because it actually means anything of substance regarding the government's outrageous spending.

“It’s a completely ridiculous, you know, nonsensical catchphrase she’s memorized, and she’s flipping through the pages to find the context of what she’s talking about,” Burguiere tells Glenn.
