‘Home Alone 6’ Is Definitive Proof That Hollywood Has Run Out of Ideas
Any ‘Home Alone’ remake plot falls apart in today’s connected society. Regardless, Disney sees dollar signs when a hit movie can be recycled.
On the heels of the recent left-wing outcry to scrub President Donald Trump from his scene with Macaulay Culkin in "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York" — apparently since doing so would soothe triggered psyches across the fruited plain — conservative actress Kristy Swanson is calling the left's bluff:
If Cancel Culture is really going to have Donald J. Trump removed from the John Hughes movie “Home Alone,” then in… https://t.co/1iOPA1TMHN— Kristy Swanson (@Kristy Swanson)1610754557.0
"If Cancel Culture is really going to have Donald J. Trump removed from the John Hughes movie 'Home Alone,' then in support of MY PRESIDENT, I'd like to have myself officially removed from the John Hughes' films, 'Pretty In Pink' and 'Ferris Buhler's [sic] Day Off,'" Swanson tweeted Friday.
Hughes — the iconic creative force behind numerous teen-oriented flicks of the 1980s — directed "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and wrote "Pretty in Pink." He produced "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York."
In the latter movie, Trump makes a cameo and offers directions to Culkin's famous young character Kevin McCallister in the Plaza Hotel, which Trump owned in the early 1990s. Culkin has applauded calls for Trump getting deleted from the scene.
For sticking her neck out amid the current firestorm of left-wing rage at Trump supporters since the Jan. 6 rioting at the U.S. Capitol, emboldened Hollywood elites snapped back at Swanson on Twitter:

Swanson hasn't been afraid to show her support for Trump supporter or her conservative politics. In 2019 she took issue with a teacher at her son's school who allegedly wouldn't stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.
The same year she starred with fellow conservative Dean Cain in a stage show featuring readings of anti-Trump text messages between former FBI agent Peter Strzok and former FBI lawyer Lisa Page. It will come as no surprise that there were death threats:

It would be a shame if Swanson's brief but hilarious scene from "Ferris Bueller" — during which she dialogues with another political conservative, Ben Stein — was cut. Here it is:

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden is being called out for falsely claiming the Boilermakers Union, which represents tens of thousands of American workers, had endorsed him for president.
During his ABC News town hall last week, moderator George Stephanopoulos asked Biden about his position on fracking. Biden denied he would ban fracking as president, but Stephanopoulos noted that a member of Boilermakers Local 154 had told the New York Times he doubts Biden's denials.
Biden said in response, "I'm telling the Boilermakers overwhelmingly endorse me me, OK, so the Boilermakers Union has endorsed me because I sat down with them and went into great detail earlier to show their leadership exactly what I would do, number one."
According to John Hughes, leader of Boilermakers Local 154, Biden is not telling the truth.
In fact, not only has the union not endorsed Biden, but the Boilermakers Union has not endorsed any candidate for president.
"The other day I'm watching the debate and I see Joe Biden tell everybody that the Boilermakers endorsed him and that is not true," Hughes said on a Saturday press call, Breitbart News reported. "And I would like somebody to tell me who — he said he talked to somebody — I'd like to know who he talked to in the Boilermakers because anybody I talk to did not endorse him."
"And I believe if you go onto our International [Boilermakers] website we have not endorsed a candidate this round, nor did the International Boilermakers endorse a candidate last time," Hughes explained. "We did not endorse Obama and Joe Biden last time because of their energy issues."
Former Rep. Lou Barletta (R-Pa.) also blasted Biden.
"I couldn't believe it when Joe Biden blatantly lied at a town hall right here in Pennsylvania and said he was overwhelmingly endorsed by the Boilermakers," he said, according to Breitbart.
Although the Boilermakers has not made a union-wide endorsement, the chapter invoked during the town hall, Boilermakers Local 154, has endorsed a candidate: President Donald Trump.
"It is with great honor that I write this letter to endorse your campaign as you run for re-election of the President of the United States," Hughes wrote in a letter to Trump last month.
