Kathy Griffin uses her dead mother's Twitter account to resume war with Elon Musk after getting suspended from platform for impersonating him

Comedian and left-wing attack dog Kathy Griffin began using her dead mother's Twitter account to continue doing battle with new Twitter owner Elon Musk after she was suspended from the social media platform Sunday for impersonating him.

“@elonmusk I’m back from the grave to say…
#FreeKathy
#TipIt”
— Elon Musk (@Elon Musk) 1667775222

"I'm back from the grave to say ... #FreeKathy ..." the account for Griffin's late mother read Sunday evening. That was followed by the following message: "Apologize in advance for all the comments you’re gonna have to read about how ugly I am, and they’re probably gonna throw you in there, too. Oh, by the way this is KG. I’m tweeting from my dead mother’s account. She would not mind."

Musk, as he is wont to do, expertly trolled Griffin, noting on Twitter that "actually, she was suspended for impersonating a comedian" — a quip that's garnered nearly 450,000 likes and counting since Sunday evening.

He wasn't done:

Griffin gets all worked up

Griffin can be a relentlessly surly soul when she's offended. We're talking about someone who accused a non-celebrity of attending the Jan. 6 riots and reported the person to the FBI — all after this everyday individual called Griffin "despicable."

So you know she's obsessed with digging into Musk with her myriad claws.

After Musk joked that Griffin was "suspended for impersonating a comedian," she got predictably fired up:

“@elonmusk @bennyjohnson @kathygriffin I mean… you stole that joke, you asshole. People have been posting that joke for hours, you hack.
Look, please do a better job running this company. It used to mean something.
This is KG btw”
— Benny Johnson (@Benny Johnson) 1667777736

“I mean… you stole that joke, you asshole,” she wrote from her deceased mom's account. “People have been posting that joke for hours, you hack. Look, please do a better job running this company. It used to mean something. This is KG btw.”

Some other tries from Griffin:

“@saraschaefer1 I honestly think it’s because it’s me, and because the tweets I was trying to write in his voice were pro democrats and had hashtags like #VoteBlueToProtectWomen and #voteblue and pro @BetoORourke etc.
Oh Sara, this is KG btw.”
— Maggie Griffin (@Maggie Griffin) 1667791219
“Elon, this is Maggie contacting you from the spirit world tell u…you’re a douchebag. This is not parody. This is the actual ghost of Kathy Griffin’s boxed wine loving mother saying I’m gonna get tipsy & throw my bingo cards at you! NOT A PARODY.
To the moon, a**hole. #FreeKathy”
— Maggie Griffin (@Maggie Griffin) 1667835391

The New York Post noted that Griffin "risks getting her mom’s account suspended too because Twitter’s 'ban evasion policy' clearly states that 'Twitter reserves the right to also permanently suspend any other account we believe the same account holder or entity may be operating in violation of our earlier suspension, regardless of when the other account was created.'"

Griffin's long line of nastiness

Back in 2017, Griffin was granted a short respite from her life on the D list after infamously posing with a fake bloody head of then-President Donald Trump during a photo shoot. She soon apologized in the wake of massive backlash, and the stunt earned her a visit from the Secret Service. Later that year, Griffin took back her apology.

As readers of TheBlaze know all too well, Griffin's nastiness is legendary:

Kathy Griffin's Twitter account gets suspended after impersonating Elon Musk, new CEO announces strict rules against impersonations

Comedian and progressive activist Kathy Griffin had her Twitter account suspended on Sunday after violating the social media platform's terms of service. Griffin had been impersonating Elon Musk on Twitter.

Griffin altered her Twitter account to make it appear that it was Musk's official page. She changed her feature image to the same photo that Musk has and renamed her account to "Elon Musk."

Screenshots show Griffin was also impersonating Musk in her tweets. In the impersonating tweets, Griffin instructed people to vote for Democrats in the midterm elections.

“These celebrities impersonating @elonmusk to attempt and influence people on how to vote is the weirdest celebrity trend. The latest is d lister @kathygriffin.”

“Welp, Kathy Griffin is about to be deleted from Twitter for impersonating @ElonMusk. And of course, she is trying to manipulate people to think he wants them to vote for the Democrats. Typical dirty tricks. #Midterms2022 #Election2022 #MAGA”

Even before Musk took over Twitter, it was against the social media network's terms of service to impersonate someone.

You may not impersonate individuals, groups, or organizations to mislead, confuse, or deceive others, nor use a fake identity in a manner that disrupts the experience of others on Twitter.

We want Twitter to be a place where people can find authentic voices. That means one should be able to trust that the person or organization featured in an account’s profile genuinely represents the account owner. While you are not required to display your real name or image on your profile, your account should not engage in impersonation or pose as someone who doesn’t exist in order to deceive others. Accounts that use deceptive identities can create confusion, as well as undermine the integrity of conversations on Twitter. For this reason, you may not misappropriate the identity of another person, group, or organization, or create a fake identity for deceptive purposes.

Accounts that impersonate others face profile modifications, temporary account suspension, and permanent suspension.

On Sunday, Musk issued a stern warning for anyone thinking about impersonating other accounts.

"Going forward, any Twitter handles engaging in impersonation without clearly specifying 'parody' will be permanently suspended," Musk tweeted. "Previously, we issued a warning before suspension, but now that we are rolling out widespread verification, there will be no warning."

"This wil l be clearly identified as a condition for signing up to Twitter Blue," the Twitter CEO stated.

Griffin previously besmirched Musk as a "white supremacist."

"Think of the damage Zuckerberg has done. Musk is a Piers Morgan level media thirsty, vindictive, white supremacist who is looking to convince you he is an innovative disruptor," Griffin said in April.

Musk replied, "The extreme antibody reaction from those who fear free speech says it all."

Musk added, "By 'free speech', I simply mean that which matches the law. I am against censorship that goes far beyond the law. If people want less free speech, they will ask government to pass laws to that effect. Therefore, going beyond the law is contrary to the will of the people."

Kathy Griffin gets lambasted after appearing to imply AOC isn't a US citizen: 'You represent Americans better than we represent ourselves'

Far-left comedian Kathy Griffin was berated on Twitter after she appeared to imply that Democratic U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York is not a United States citizen.

What are the details?

Griffin replied to Ocasio-Cortez's infamous tweet last week about visiting her ill grandmother in Puerto Rico that included photos of her home in disrepair and blaming former President Donald Trump for lack of Hurricane Maria relief.

Critics immediately hit back at Ocasio-Cortez, given she makes almost twice the average U.S. salary as member of Congress and reportedly owns a Tesla and rents two apartments — all of which would seem to point to AOC having the means to help out her "abuela."

But Griffin was not in the aforementioned camp and heaped gooey praise on the congresswoman — and managed to look rather silly in the process:

@AOC Thank you for continuing to do a great job. You represent Americans better than we represent ourselves. 🙏❤️🙏

— Kathy Griffin (@kathygriffin) 1622663373.0

"Thank you for continuing to do a great job," Griffin wrote back to AOC. "You represent Americans better than we represent ourselves."

Say what?

More than a few folks had a field day with Griffin for apparently implying that Ocasio-Cortez — who was born in the U.S. — is not an American citizen:

 • "Did you really just say AOC isn't an American? Lmao," one user wrote. "This is the leftist racism I was talking about. You insult people and think it's a compliment. Ya dingdongs."
 • "I'm pretty sure that @AOC was born in New York, Kathy," one commenter pointed out. "That would make her all-American."
 • "Do we need to see AOC's birth certificate Kathy?" another user asked sarcastically.
 • "White liberal women are by far the most racist people in our country," another commenter declared. "AOC is an American. SMH."
 • "So you are one of those white liberals they speak of that think non whites aren't real Americans and need your pity?" another user wondered. "Got it."
 • Another user answered the previous comment by saying, "Yup. If we have dark skin, we're victims and need the white liberals to protect us from the conservatives who want everyone to prosper, not just the liberal elite."
 • "She think she's not an American. Lol," another commenter remarked, after which another observed in response, "She instinctively thinks brown people aren't Americans."
 • "She was born here, thus is an American," another commenter said. "I know the left doesn't understand how that works, so thought I'd clear it up for you. Also she used to go by Sandy amongst her predominantly white peers in school. She's not stunning and brave."
 • "You have never represented Americans," another user told AOC before turning attention to Griffin. "PS...she grew up in NY's Westchester County, you loon. She does not do anything but ramble like a self important attention seeking fool, same as you do."
 • "Other fun things that Kathy says to Latina women: You clean our house better than we clean ourselves," another commenter wrote.
 • "Kathy, I used to love your shows. I stayed up for almost two days straight to get tickets for your last tour," another user and apparent fan replied. "But not this time, girl."

Oh, and then there was this response:

Anything else?

Some commenters also just couldn't help bringing up the hilarious subplot of the AOC "abuela" debacle: The Daily Wire's Matt Walsh managed to attract huge donations — primarily, one would assume, from his conservative followers — to help out AOC's grandmother when all the congresswoman could muster was a blame game.

And, as we soon learned, Grandma's family reportedly refused what eventually amounted to over $100,000 in donations. Who woulda thunk it?

"Thanks AOC for ensuring your dear abuela lives in trash after denying her 100K that conservatives raised to better her life," one commenter pointed out. "Guess you can keep waiting for the ... powerful State to take care of her; you and Kathy are so smart."

Kathy Griffin wanted to see President Trump 'croak' in middle of rally — then settled for 'coma'

Comedienne Kathy Griffin kept up her death wish announcements for President Donald Trump, tweeting that she wanted to see Trump "croak" during a rally — just days after he was released from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center after testing positive for the coronavirus.

I kinda wanna watch trump’s rally Saturday night to see him croak.
— Kathy Griffin (@Kathy Griffin)1602208023.0

"I kinda wanna watch trump's rally Saturday night to see him croak," she wrote Thursday on Twitter.

Griffin followed that up the next day with her bar lowered just slightly:

Patiently waiting for trump’s coma to commence.
— Kathy Griffin (@Kathy Griffin)1602261405.0

"Patiently waiting for Trump's coma to commence," she noted.

What was the reaction?

Griffin is proof that living life on the D-list can be sufficient to gain fans, and indeed many folks enjoyed her attacks on Trump. But of course not everyone saw it that way:

@kathygriffin You look so happy Kathy. What happened? He didn’t call you the next day? 😂 https://t.co/nCvv3toosx
— 🇺🇸Nani🇺🇸 (@🇺🇸Nani🇺🇸)1602262086.0
 • "You are a f***ing disgrace. Just remember before he became your president you were buddy buddy with him," another detractor wrote. "Can't wait [to] hear you cry for another 4 years you f***ing skell."
 • "Wow aren't you a little piece of dog s**t," one Twitter user noted.
 • "Oh look it's the tolerant left," another commenter remarked.
 • "You're a good example of what's wrong with this country, nothing but hate and violence out of your mouth," another user said. "If liberals take control of the country this is what we have to look forward to."
 • "Your career has been in a coma for decades. Is that why you are so unhinged and hysterical?" another commenter asked. "Who else takes pride in being D-list at anything in life?"
