MSNBC Says It Was 'Unaware' of Harris Campaign Contributions to Al Sharpton Nonprofit—But Won't Say Whether It's Taking Action

MSNBC was "unaware" that Kamala Harris's campaign paid Al Sharpton's nonprofit $500,000 shortly before Harris sat for a softball interview with the cable host, a network spokesman told the Washington Free Beacon.

He wouldn't say, though, whether the left-wing network is taking any action against Sharpton for a move that appears to violate network policy. Other network hosts like Joe Scarborough have been publicly reprimanded for their failure to disclose making, rather than receiving, political donations.

What in the Actual F— Is Wrong With These People? (NBC News Edition)

We regret to inform you that America's journalists are in the midst of another temper tantrum. This one is in response to NBC News's decision to hire former RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel as a paid contributor. The network's own employees are in open revolt, incensed at the prospect of having to share screen time with a Republican who hasn't completely disavowed Donald Trump.

Keith Olbermann appears to endorse Trump assassination: 'There's always the hope'

Far-left former cable news talking head Keith Olbermann over the weekend appeared to endorse the assassination of former President Donald Trump.

Say what?

Olbermann — rarely shy about espousing leftist views, particularly when his aim is taking shots at Trump — noticed a Saturday afternoon post on X from the account of Biden-Harris HQ, which touts itself as a "project of Biden-Harris 2024" and boasts over 300,000 followers.

The Biden-Harris HQ post included a video of Trump on the campaign trail and remarked that "Trump says he has been treated worse than Abraham Lincoln, who was assassinated."

Olbermann's response? "There's always the hope."

The collective reaction to Olbermann's words, as you might guess, wasn't terribly positive. Here's a sampling of some comments directed back to him:

  • "At the very least this is a TOS violation," one commenter reacted before tagging "@Safety" and "@Support." "Perhaps @SecretService should pay Keith a visit. We all know Keith is mentally unstable."
  • "This account should be permanently suspended," another user suggested.
  • "You do realize that calling for the assassination of political opposition would make you the bad guys… right?" another commenter queried.
  • "Are you threatening the life of a former president and the Republican nominee to be our next president[?]" another user asked.
  • "You’re aware that Trump still has a Secret Service detail, right Keith?" another commenter asked.
  • "Dear @elonmusk...Is this glorifying murder? Incitement to assassinate a president? ... Olbermann is literally encouraging someone to murder a president. He needs to be banned from here," another user stated.
  • "Keith, you need Jesus. Find a Bible. Open it to Romans 8. Read it," another commenter pleaded.

Anything else?

Olbermann also was getting ratioed for his X post Monday evening, with nearly 3,000 comments coming in compared to just over 1,000 likes and counting.

Fox News reported that neither Olbermann nor Trump's campaign responded to a request for comment.

9-0 Decision Shows How Far Removed Democrat Lawfare And Its Media Cheerleaders Are From Reality

If you think the only explanation for a 9-0 Supreme Court decision in Trump's favor is because Sonia Sotomayor is a MAGA extremist, you might need to touch grass.

CNN anchor Abby Phillip dunks on Keith Olbermann after he trashes her on X

CNN anchor Abby Phillip fired back at Keith Olbermann after he declared in a post on X that she has been a "disaster."

During remarks after losing the New Hampshire GOP presidential primary to former President Donald Trump on Tuesday, GOP presidential primary candidate Nikki Haley said, "The first party to retire its 80-year-old candidate is going to be the party that wins this election."

Biden, who is currently 81 and would be 86 by the end of a second term, appears likely to clinch the Democratic Party's 2024 presidential nomination. And Trump, who is currently 77 and would be 82 by the end of his next term if he wins the 2024 presidential contest, seems to be on track to clinch the 2024 Republican presidential nomination

Phillip referred to Haley's comments as "a smart way to put it" and said that, "Nobody wants Trump, nobody wants Biden, but nobody wants to be ... first to walk away from either."

Olbermann apparently took issue with Phillip's comments. "CNN has to address the reality that @abbydphillip has been an absolute disaster and that this foot-in-mouth editorial is the first thing she's gotten noticed for since her show debuted," he tweeted.

Phillip promptly dunked on Olbermann, describing him as irrelevant. "Or, you can come to terms with the reality of your irrelevance and stop being a nasty social media troll. But that's entirely up to you," she wrote.

In another post, Olbermann said of Phillip, "I see her bothsidesing Trump's madness and Biden's age and it's disqualifying."

All-American, all-female swim star Riley Gaines gives unhinged leftist Keith Olbermann a reality check after he calls her a bad swimmer

Keith Olbermann's temper and characteristic difficulty distinguishing fact from fiction continue to get him into trouble. On Thursday, 64-year-old Olbermann lashed out against All-American, all-female swim star Riley Gaines, suggesting she "sucked at swimming."

The accomplished 23-year-old athlete — not the first woman whose success has apparently enraged the former sports commentator in recent weeks — responded with a reality check, using her trophy collection to evidence the extent to which Olbermann was wrong yet again.

Gaines, an advocate for keeping men out of women's sports and the host of "Gaines for Girls," highlighted a Wednesday tweet from Nebraska state Sen. Megan Hunt in which the leftist former Democrat bemoaned Gov. Jim Pillen's executive order "Establishing a Women's Bill of Rights."

TheBlaze previously reported that the order acknowledged the biological differences between men and women and stressed that there "are legitimate reasons to distinguish between the sexes with respect to athletics, prisons or other detention facilities, domestic violence shelters, rape crisis centers, locker rooms, restrooms, and other areas where biology, safety, and/or privacy are implicated."

Hunt called the order "offensive and ridiculous" and accused Pillen of "putting Nebraskans in danger."

Gaines, who previously indicated a transvestic athlete exposed himself to her at a swim meet, responded to Hunt with an intimation she had beclowned herself by fussing over a realistic definition of a woman.

Apparently scrambling for a new cause with the Russia collusion hoax dead and buried, Olbermann seized upon Gaines' remarks, writing to her, "Can you address the reality and move past it? You sucked at swimming. That's why you lost."

Despite receiving a fact-check on his tweet, which noted, "Riley Gaines was a very successful swimmer ending her College 'Wildcat' career as one of the most decorated swimmers in the program's history," along with some of her other accomplishments, Olbermann was neither swayed by the historical record nor finished attacking the young woman.

On Thursday, Olbermann tweeted, "Happily for nasty, stupid, unsuccessful transphobe @Riley_Gaines_ she has no reputation to ruin."

Gaines first responded, "Ah, makes sense now why you got fired from ESPN," referencing one of the times Olbermann was kicked to curb by a media organization.

She then gave Olbermann a virtual tour of her trophy collection, noting some of her accolades, including three SEC titles, a second-place finish nationally, SEC "Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year," and All-SEC first-team honors.

"Oh look, another one," she said gleefully, referencing another gold trophy sitting on her shelf. "That's when I broke the the 200 butterfly record, the SEC record, which I still hold, making me one of the fastest Americans of all time."

Brandishing another symbol of her success as a female athlete, Gaines said, "Keith, I'd be really sad if I broke this trying to prove a point to an old man who can't even seem to keep a job, but I've got more of these — so I'm not. Thanks, Keith!"

Megyn Kelly highlights her family and lucrative career while firing back at Justin Baragona of the Daily Beast and Keith Olbermann

Megyn Kelly, who has built a massive YouTube channel that boasts more than 1.3 million subscribers, fired back at Justin Baragona and Keith Olbermann on Friday.

"In just a few short years, Megyn Kelly went from one of the most sought-after and highly-paid anchors in television news -- to a YouTuber devoting her time to raging about what woke beer another podcaster drinks," Justin Baragona of the Daily Beast tweeted, sharing the link to a piece he wrote.

Kelly responded to Baragona's tweet, by pointing out that she's been enormously successful in digital media and now wields complete editorial power over her content.

"I fixed the headline for him: In just a few short years, Megyn Kelly went from working for corporate douchebags who tried to ruin her career to launching her own media company and creating one of the top digital shows in the country of which she has full editorial control. She continues to earn more than @justinbaragona or @keitholbermann will ever gross in their lifetime, all while happily married & raising her own children," Kelly wrote.

Kelly's mention of Keith Olbermann came after the left-wing figure had responded to Baragona's post by describing Kelly as a "moronic a**hole" and claiming that she had only been hired by NBC because of her appearance.

"Or: @megynkelly went from a highly-paid moronic asshole who got a lot of money from an @nbc executive who never really bothered to examine and her work and only hired her for her looks and then everybody at nbc found out she was a moronic a**hole," Olbermann wrote. "And for the record: the criticism here is of the executive, not @megynkelly," Olbermann added. "His name was Andy Lack and he was notorious for doing this. Most of them looked like one of his ex-wives at different stages in her life," Olbermann claimed.
