Democratic senator appears on Colbert show after missing key Israel votes

While the Senate worked through several key resolutions to block arms sales to Israel, Democrat Sen. Elissa Slotkin of Michigan apparently skipped out to tape her appearance on Stephen Colbert's show.

The Senate voted on two resolutions to block additional military aid to Israel Thursday night, both of which failed. Although Democrats had unprecedented support to bar Israel from receiving additional aid, Slotkin spent her afternoon alongside a talk show host.

The resolutions, which were spearheaded by independent Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, both failed in the Senate in 70-27 and 72-24 votes. Both votes were dead on arrival with or without Slotkin's support, but this is not the first time the freshman senator has been scrutinized for her position on Israel.

In an interview on "Breaking Points" on Tuesday, co-hosts Saagar Enjeti and Krystal Ball grilled Slotkin, who said she was open to blocking arms sales for "offensive" weapons to Israel.

"There is a difference between a weapon to protect a country from incoming missiles versus other types," Slotkin said. "Offensive and defensive weapons are different."

Enjeti pressed Slotkin, asking if she would be in favor of banning "offensive" weapons to Israel, which she seemed open to.

"That certainly, to me, would be a place to look," Slotkin said. "But I'm not going to cut off a blanket next sale on a defensive weapon that comes through."

TikTok’s biggest Biden fan doubles down; gets DESTROYED on Piers Morgan

While liberals across the country have begun waking up to the realization that Joe Biden is not fit to be president, some are still fast asleep — and it doesn’t appear they’ll be waking up anytime soon.

One of those liberals is famous TikTok influencer Harry Sisson, who appeared on a panel alongside Dave Rubin of “The Rubin Report” on “Piers Morgan Uncensored.”

While Rubin and Morgan both agree that President Biden needs to step down in light of his clear mental decline, Sisson appears to have seen an entirely different debate.

“President Biden should be the nominee,” Sisson says definitively, before trying to take a shot at Rubin: “I wonder where Dave got his M.D., where he got his degree to specialize in neurology.”

“And I just find it funny how he’s saying, ‘Oh, we shouldn’t respect Biden and Karine Jean-Pierre, but I’m sure that he’s voting for the convicted felon and the proven sexual abuser, who defamed his victim, and he gives his respect to him every single day,” he continues.

Rubin isn’t having it.

“Hey Harry, do you think that Joe Biden is cognitively able to be president? Yes or no,” he asks the influencer.

“Yes, I do. You can check out the neurology report he had earlier this year in February where it said there was no concern, no cognitive disorder. That’s coming from an actual doctor,” Sisson says proudly.

“We’re making this up. Everything we see every day, the inability to say one complete sentence. We’re all making it up,” Rubin says, shaking his head.

Sisson continues to double down on his delusion even after Morgan shows him a clip of Biden completely out of it and calmly explains the situation we’re in.

“This is a quite dangerous situation I think, where the most powerful man in America right now is not able to function properly at a time when the world feels quite perilous and needs a sharp president of the United States,” Morgan says, asking, “When you watch him, do you feel remotely reassured that he’s completely in charge?”

“Yeah,” Sisson says. “I think that this is all just hyperbole, like this is nonsense. I don’t know why we’re talking about Biden’s mental state when we can just look at his record.”

Bill Maher ripped Biden for getting off fossil fuels without a replacement, says now the president is begging Saudi Arabia for oil

Bill Maher criticized President Joe Biden for attempting to force the nation off fossil fuels without having a suitable replacement. The liberal talk show host said because of the Biden administration's mismanagement that now the president has to beg Saudi Arabia for oil as gas prices skyrocket.

Maher cited a recent Quinnipiac University poll that showed that President Biden's approval rating of Americans ages 18-34 is a bleak 22%. Meanwhile, another usually strong Democratic voting base – Hispanics – is only at 24%. Maher suggested that the economy and gas prices have something to do with Biden's abysmal approval rating.

On the latest episode of "Real Time with Bill Maher," the HBO host spoke to "Breaking Points" host Krystal Ball and columnist James Kirchick about the record-high gas prices that are walloping Americans' wallets.

Kirchick said, "Gas prices, we can largely attribute to an administration that's been waging war on the fossil fuel industry."

Maher noted how Biden has vowed to eliminate fossil fuels.

In July 2019, Biden said, "We would work [fossil fuels] out. We would make sure it's eliminated."

In September 2019, Biden declared, "I guarantee you we’re going to end fossil fuel."

In March 2020, Biden proclaimed, "Number one, no more subsidies for fossil fuel industry. No more drilling on federal lands. No more drilling, including offshore. No ability for the oil industry to continue to drill, period, ends, number one."

Kirchick chimed in that Biden killed the Keystone Pipeline and "antagonized Saudi Arabia with his with his Iran policy, and now he's going back to them hat in hand to get them to increase their production."

"Let’s just talk about why these things really happen," Maher said. "Look, I wish we were all off fossil fuels forever."

"But the truth is that when people get off fossil fuels before they have a replacement, they wind up going back to even worse fossil fuels," Maher explained. "Germany said, 'We don’t want nuclear power anymore,' which is the cleanest, and what did they have to go back to? Coal."

"And basically, the same thing happened here. We said, 'Saudi Arabia, go f*** yourself, you killed a journalist,' and now, Biden is going over there, hat in hand, begging them for oil. Because people want their gas.”

Ball added that it was "pathetic" that Biden must plead for oil from Saudi Arabia, but mostly blamed oil companies for high prices.
