Video: Pathetic left-wing protesters try shutting down Matt Walsh's 'Rally to End Child Mutilation' but have complete meltdowns instead

Matt Walsh's "Rally to End Child Mutilation" attracted an estimated 3,000 people Friday at the Tennessee State Capitol — as well as a small group of foul-mouthed, left-wing protesters who made several pathetic, unsuccessful attempts to shut down the event, according to the Daily Wire.

The large crowd was solidly with Walsh's cause to end medical transgender treatments for children and easily drowned out the protesters.

What are the details?

Twitter videos of the event documented numerous incidents of leftists melting down over the rally's message.

Radicals held up signs that read "Nazi lives don't matter" and "fascists f*** off." At one point protesters surrounded some Walsh supporters in the crowd and chanted over a megaphone, "F*** around, you're gonna find out."

One unnamed protester claimed to have taken hormone blockers and attempted to tell attendees that the treatment is life-saving and "completely reversible" if children change their minds. The protester argued that puberty is traumatic for some children, so "gender-affirming" treatment is necessary for minors.

Event speakers included U.S. Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), Robby and Landon Starbuck, Scott Newgent, and former U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, who denounced her Democratic party affiliation earlier this month.

Far-left protesters attempted to drown out a speech by de-transitioner Chloe Cole by repeatedly shouting, "F*** you, fascist."

Cole discussed her emotional journey of being born a girl but deciding to transition and undergo a double mastectomy at 18 years — then ultimately de-transitioning. Cole now dedicates her time to speaking out against irreversible gender-mutilating hormone therapies and surgeries on minors.

Some leftists didn't like that very much.

"[Cole] is a fascist, and she doesn't care about other trans youth," one leftist protester told the Daily Wire. "She's using her own experiences to s**t on thousands of others that want to kill themselves because people like this won't let them."

When Matt Walsh walked on stage, radical protesters continued trying to chant and shriek over the rally.

One protester was captured on video calling Walsh "a far-right lunatic propagandist." The protester stated, "If you support anything he f***ing says, you're indoctrinating everyone you know into being a Nazi."

Despite the best efforts of the leftists, the vast majority of the crowd turned up in support of Walsh.

Walsh's stated during his speech that "these people here don't want you to hear what we have to say because they're cowards. They can't engage in the argument. All they could try to do is shut us down and silence us, but it's not going to work. We're still here. We're not going anywhere."

Walsh explained that the purpose of the event was to rally together "to protect our children." He accused the far-left protesters of "victimizing and preying upon kids."

"As Tennesseans, do we believe in castrating children? Do we believe in that? No. Do we believe in drugging and mutilating kids? They believe it — we don't," Walsh said. "Are we going to allow this in our state? Are we going to do what they want us to do, which is to sit back in silence and allow our kids to be victimized?"

He added, "The reason they're acting this way is because they are losing, and they know it. They're losing. And they will continue to lose as long as we continue to fight all across the country."

Left-wing protesters crash wedding officiated by Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, bride confronts protesters: 'Thanks for ruining my wedding'

Leftist activists crashed a wedding that was officiated by Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) last week, forcing the mother of the bride to plead with activists to go away and not ruin her daughter's big day.

Sinema has been subjected to confrontational protesters for the last month as she continues to withhold support for President Joe Biden's massive spending agenda. Protesters have even confronted her in a bathroom and on an airplane.

What happened?

While Sinema officiated the wedding of a personal friend in Brisbee, Arizona — a small town not far from the U.S.-Mexico border — left-wing activists gathered outside the wedding venue, carrying anti-Sinema signs and chanting against the Democratic lawmaker.

Video of the protest showed that, at one point, the bride even confronted demonstrators.

"Thanks for ruining my wedding. I really appreciate it," the bride said sarcastically. "It's just my wedding. I really wish I could enjoy my wedding without you ruining it."

One protester countered the bride by claiming Sinema is "ruining our lives."

At another point, a woman who identifies herself as the mother of the bride pleads with protesters to disperse — just for an hour — to allow wedding festivities to proceed peacefully.

"Could you just go down to the corner for an hour," the emotional mother said. "It's my daughter's wedding. Just for an hour — just let her get married, please."

"This person is not my daughter," she added, referring to Sinema.

One protester agreed to let the wedding ceremony proceed without interruption. Other demonstrators, however, continued to scream, and refused to allow the wedding to go on peacefully.

The Tucson Daily Star framed its story on the protest not around the demonstrators, but white wedding guests who wore Native American costumes to the celebration.

The story assumed the guests committed an act of so-called "cultural appropriation" despite not truly knowing whether the guests were Native American or had Native American lineage.

"Senator Sinema officiated a personal friend's wedding at which a small group of activists protested during the private ceremony," Sinema spokesperson Hannah Hurley told the newspaper. "While the Senator knows the bride and groom, she does not know and did not interact with the wedding guests who wore disrespectful and racist costumes to the ceremony, and she strongly condemns such behavior."

In the Antifa Shangri-La of Portland, Oregon, a crowd of protesters tried having their way with a lone police officer Friday night — but he was having none of it.

What happened?

The officer had pulled over two vehicles — a white van and a blue sedan — blocking traffic near the intersection of Northeast 47th Avenue and Northeast Couch Street, police told the Oregonian.

Video shows protesters converging upon the scene and the white van escaping and speeding off, after which protesters cheered and applauded.

The lone, completely outnumbered officer then found himself facing down a crowd of protesters who inched their way toward him as he stood next to the blue sedan.

"Back up!" he hollered repeatedly to the group of about seven as they yelled back at him.

Presumably sensing the moment was right, the driver of the blue sedan took off as well — followed by more cheers and applause from the protesters.

But the cop wasn't about to slink off in defeat. He got on his motorcycle and prepared to pursue the driver.

Oh, but the protesters didn't like that very much — and a couple of them stood in his way.

The officer, however, wasn't deterred. He easily moved past one protester armed with a shield who tried to prevent his passage.

But then another protester a few feet away positioned herself directly in front of his motorcycle — her legs literally straddling the path of his front wheel.

Think the cop froze in the face of this righteous indignation? Nah.

He kept right on going, pushing the protester with his motorcycle up the road until she tumbled to the street, after which he sped away.

But right on cue, the cop blocker's comrades flipped out like the officer had invaded the protester's personal space or something, and in another familiar sight they chased after the officer on foot while unleashing enraged howls.

What happened afterward?

Portland police said in their early Saturday statement that the woman jumped on the officer's motorcycle, the Oregonian reported. But the paper noted that independent photojournalist Sean Bascom — who posted the video of the incident — said "no one 'jumped on the motorcycle.' The protesters planted their feet in front of it and were driven into."

Bascom added to the Oregonian that police were citing drivers who had been protecting demonstrators from "vehicular attacks" and believed that the officer could have avoided pushing the protester with the motorcycle by driving elsewhere "or simply not accelerat[ing] at all and call[ing] in other patrol vehicles like they did when the white van took off moments earlier."

More from the paper:

Live videos from the scene showed officers approach the crowd to check if the person needed medical attention. An argument ensued, and at least one person was detained during the encounter.

Police said Saturday afternoon that the protester struck by the motorcycle was eventually taken to the hospital and later booked on charges of rioting, interfering with a peace officer and second-degree disorderly conduct. Police did not provide an update on the person's medical status. Police said they were booked into jail later than initially planned because someone had slashed the police vehicles' tires in the hospital parking lot.

Jim Middaugh, a spokesman for Mayor Ted Wheeler, told the Oregonian he didn't know if any investigation had been launched into the incident and couldn't comment about the police bureau's account.

"It's troubling whenever police officers and protesters end up in an interaction that results in conflict, and that clearly happened last night," Middaugh told the paper. "It requires a thorough investigation of the police officer's actions and tactics involved in the traffic stop. At the same time, I think it's important for all protesters to remember that in any circumstance, it's not a good idea to surround an officer who is alone or to try and impede an officer who is attempting to carry out his or her duties."

Photographer for major paper says protesters ordered him 'no more pictures,' threatened to destroy his equipment — and it appears he obeyed

Antifa and other violent left-wing protesters and rioters say they're against fascists. But we've seen time and time again through their behavior that they're truly the fascists. One look at what went down in Minneapolis on Thursday night is a prime example.

What happened?

A staff photographer with the Minneapolis Star Tribune newspaper wrote that protesters in ordered him to take "no more pictures" and threatened to steal and destroy his equipment if he didn't fall in line:

"Protesters chanting 'no more pictures' as they march along S. 4th Street along US Bank Stadium," Aaron Lavinsky wrote. "An organizer just came up to me demanding I turn my cameras off. She threatened to snatch my camera [from] me if I didn't comply."

And in the end it appears Lavinsky did just that.

"Folks, I'm backing off," he added in a follow-up tweet. "Multiple people threatening to take and break my cameras. Been berated most of the night by a small group of organizers and anarchists."

Lavinsky send subsequent messages noting that while some protesters were fine with him being there it's "unfortunate that not all value the free press."

Here's one of the videos Lavinsky recorded for the Star Tribune's story:

Police and protesters facing off as MPD clears a barricade from South 4th Ave in downtown Minneapolis. @StarTribune https://t.co/lfuEFM0EK8
— Aaron Lavinsky (@Aaron Lavinsky)1600996829.0

The paper's piece — for which Lavinsky shares a byline — noted that Minneapolis police faced off with about 100 people who "gathered ... to protest local and national issues."

Besides "no more pictures," the Star Tribune said other chants included, "No justice, no peace, kill all the police" and "Die, Donald Trump."

Lavinsky's run-in with the mob was documented in the story as well: "Some protesters shouted at a Star Tribune photographer, telling him to stop taking photos and threatening to take cameras away. They chanted, 'No more pictures,' as they walked."

How did folks respond to the photographer's tweets?

A couple of commenters seemed sympathetic to the protesters:

  • "This is for their own safety," one commenter wrote. "You can actually endanger them by creating video/photo evidence."
  • "Yeah dude you need to make sure you don't accidentally photograph someone in an identifiable way," another commenter said, soon adding that "you could cause a lot of problems for them including death."

But it seems most responders weren't happy with the fascist threats:

  • "Be safe," one commenter implored. "Is the @StarTribune still going to call this a peaceful protest? Or are they going to call a spade a spade for once?"
  • "Fascist liberal bastards," another commenter wrote. "What is happening in Louisville, Portland, Seattle, New York, and Washington DC is Joe Biden's America. This is what will happen nationwide if Biden is elected."
  • "What more proof is needed that these are not protests," another commenter added. "In a real protest the protestors want video to spread their message. Only people that plan on criminal activity demand videos be shut off. #MAGA2020."
  • "We can't back down. This is what Communism looks like," another commenter said. "What next? We will be told what books we can read and which ones we can't? Checkpoints? Guard tower's?? We fought to hard against the Soviets to have it end up in our own country. We need to wake up!!!

Left-wing protester — who's also a convicted felon — arrested after pointing gun at Louisville motorist

Sometimes those peaceful, gun-shunning leftists can surprise you.

Seems one of them who took part in a Louisville protest march Friday evening pointed a gun at a motorist — and to top it off, the arrestee is a convicted felon, WDRB-TV reported.

What are the details?

Louisville Metro Police on Saturday released video taken from a police helicopter that was circling over the march, and it shows a woman — identified as Robin Ash — pointing a gun at the driver of a dark gray Ford Taurus, the station said.

Ash is facing charges of wanton endangerment, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and criminal mischief, WDRB reported, citing court records.

But others at the scene defended Ash, saying the driver pointed a gun at demonstrators first, the station said.

In the police video, which contains no sound, the car in question is traveling in the opposite direction from the march — and one protester appears to be standing in the left-hand turn lane the car enters.

The car comes to a stop after passing the protester, and that's when the trouble starts.

Several protesters approach the car, including a woman who pulls out a gun and points it at the motorist.

After another protester appears to intervene, the woman who pointed the gun walks away from the scene and seems to place something in her pocket or waistband.

Others remained near the car and WDRB said one person appears to kick the vehicle while other protesters try to get the crowd away. The police video shows the car drive a short distance down the street before it comes to a stop, and the station said the driver exits the car as police gather around the vehicle and protesters continue to move forward.

Another video, another story

Sheri Wright took her own video of the march and posted a clip of the incident involving the car on her Facebook page, WDRB said — and at a Sunday news conference at the Kentucky Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression, she said the motorist "tried to run over protesters."

Wright's video shows the Ford Taurus drive closely past at least two people marching in the street before coming to a stop, the station said.

More from WDRB:

As Wright approaches the car, video shows the man behind the wheel pulling out a gun and pointing it at the demonstrators near his car. Ash is not seen approaching the car in Wright's video, which is focused on the driver's window.

Wright follows the car as it moves a few feet down the road, and her video shows the man get out of the car and again point a gun at protesters as he inspects a dent in his vehicle. The man then gestures in the direction of police, who are seen moments later moving the crowd away from the vehicle.

Image source: Facebook video screenshot via Sheri Wright

Here's Wright's video. (Content warning: Language):

"What do you do when somebody threatens you with a gun? You know, you run or you defend — fight or flight," Wright said, according to the station. "So I'm not going to knock anyone who felt her life was threatened, because I certainly felt my life was threatened, as did everyone there."

She added to WDRB that police "surrounded themselves around this man and his vehicle in a protective fashion."

"It seems very one-sided as far as where LMPD interjects itself into a conflict," Wright also noted to the station. "From my observation, they want to protect the people who are opposed to the protesters against police brutality. I've seen this over and over and over again."

What did police have to say?

Sgt. Lamont Washington said in a statement that the motorist wasn't arrested because he was a victim in the incident, WDRB said.

"LMPD released the video to show the whole story," Washington added to the station. "A still photo or single angle often doesn't do that. No charges are expected of the driver whose name will not be released since he was the victim."
