Chip and Joanna Gaines embrace LGBTQ ‘spirit of the age’ and ‘punch back’ at Christian fans

Chip and Joanna Gaines’ new show, “Back to the Frontier,” has stirred up backlash from their Christian supporters, as it features a homosexual couple who used a surrogate to become fathers to their two boys.

The Gaineses did not take the backlash well, with Chip doubling down on their position by writing in a post on X: “Talk, ask qustns, listen ... maybe even learn. Too much to ask of modern American Christian culture. Judge 1st, understand later/never.”

“It’s a sad sunday when ‘non believers’ have never been confronted with hate or vitriol until they are introduced to a modern American Christian,” he added.

BlazeTV host Steve Deace of the “Steve Deace Show” is disappointed in the Christian couple.

“You are watching Chip and Joanna Gaines now continue to descend into the abyss,” Deace says. “Now, what I think will be fascinating about them is they have chosen — well, Chip in particular tried to be a keyboard commando tough guy the last time they got exposed and went about not just deconstructing his faith, but reconstructing and attempting to say, no, they actually represent the true light of Christianity.”

“And that generated a way bigger level of backlash than what I’ve seen with others who have gone down this road,” he adds.

Deace explains that this is a common pattern that unfolds when it comes to Christian television stars like Chip and Joanna.

“What you see is using us to gain an audience. And then once you gain a certain foothold of that audience and credibility with said audience, to the point now that you cross over as something that’s known mainstream,” Deace explains.

“Once that crossover happens, then the offer is brought to you from the spirit of the age. Bow to the shibboleth of the damned, the rainbow jihad. And they pretty much all do,” he adds.

Now, what Chip has done by calling out his own base may have caused irreversible damage.

“They chose not to just abandon their base or assume that their base would not know and just stay with them no matter what. They chose to punch back at their base. So we’ll see if it works out for them or not,” Deace says. “It’s a bold choice, Cotton.”

Gov. Ron DeSantis REMOVES LGBT crosswalk at Pulse Memorial overnight

Republican Governor Ron DeSantis has removed the painted rainbow crosswalk outside of the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Florida, which was painted in memory of the 49 people killed at the site in 2016.

And Democratic state Senator Carlos Guillermo Smith is not happy.

“We’ve just discovered that the Florida Department of Transportation in the middle of the night ripped the rainbow colors off of this city crosswalk. They illegally vandalized city property without providing the city of Orlando notice or getting their approval to remove this rainbow crosswalk that was painted here,” Guillermo Smith said angrily in a selfie video.

“Not only to remember the lives of the 49 mostly LGBTQ people of color who were murdered, but also to keep the pedestrians and visitors who have come here year after year to pay their respects to those lives who were taken here,” he continued.

“I cannot believe that the DeSantis administration has engaged in this hostile act against the city of Orlando,” he added.

BlazeTV host Pat Gray was not a fan of the sidewalk in the first place and disagrees with Guillermo Smith, who also hopes the city of Orlando sues the state of Florida.

“You know what’s ridiculous is painting rainbow flags on crosswalks. Okay. Do we need that? Do we need to celebrate somebody else’s sexuality?” Gray asks, answering himself, “I don’t have to celebrate your sexual preference and have it there for all time.”

Democrat legend attacks Jon Stewart of 'The Daily Show'  for lying to Democrats

If running on a platform that idolizes frivolous abortion, taxpayer-funded transgender surgeries for illegal immigrant inmates, the mutilation of children, DEI, and open borders isn’t considered “woke,” then most Americans don’t know what is.

Regardless, Bill Maher and Jon Stewart have apparently claimed that Kamala Harris did not run a “woke” campaign — and James Carville isn’t having it.

“I saw Bill Maher, I saw Jon Stewart, I saw different people,” Carville began in a video posted to social media, explaining that the discussions these figures had revolved around whether or not Harris’ woke campaign hurt Democrats' chances of beating Donald Trump.

“Of course it hurt us,” he said. “Jon Stewart says, ‘Well it couldn’t hurt because no Democrat ran on it.’ Of course they didn’t run on it, because it was even to the most clueless progressive that you could imagine, by that time, they knew it was a disaster. So in order to escape any responsibility, what happened, they said, ‘Well, that stuff was never used in 2024.’”

“Well, you’re f***ing wrong. It was used,” Carville continued. “In comedy, if you tell a bad joke, who gives a s***. You just tell a bad joke, and you throw the bad joke away. In politics, if you have a bad policy, particularly one as bad and stupid as this was, you may throw it away, but the other side gets to play.”

Dave Rubin of “The Rubin Report” thinks Carville has made an excellent point.

“You’re making the right point there. You can’t run away from everything you just ran on. We’re watching them do it in real time, we’re watching them pretend they had nothing to do with any of this, but the entire Harris campaign was based on equity,” Rubin says.

“These were the people who every time we said, ‘Oh, you know, judging people by the color of their skin and not the color of their character, that’s a problem, that’s racism,’ they would be like, ‘No, no, no, we need quotas,’” he continues.

“So they ran on this, it was soundly rejected, and then to Carville’s point, now we get to use it against them. But they’re going to literally pretend they had nothing to do with it,” he adds.
