Democrat lawmaker pounces on Epstein drama, calls for congressional vote

Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna of California is pouncing on the political saga surrounding the Epstein files, and he's taking his mission to Congress.

Khanna proposed an amendment to the GENIUS Act on Tuesday, which would force Attorney General Pam Bondi to make all Epstein-related records "publicly available" on a website within 30 days. This push for transparency comes as President Donald Trump and his administration have doubled down in defense of Bondi, who insisted there was no client list.

"Why are the Epstein files still hidden?" Khanna asked in a post on X. "Who are the rich & powerful being protected?"

"The Speaker must call a vote & put every Congress member on record," Khanna added.

'Let the chips fall where they may.'

After the Department of Justice leaked the now infamous Epstein memo, the MAGA base was sent into a tailspin. There has even been infighting within the administration, with a source familiar with the situation confirming a clash between Bondi and FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino.

Although many, including Khanna, are dissatisfied with the botched handling of the Epstein files, other right-wing voices have criticized the Democrat for being opportunistic.

"I’ll take Something You Didn’t Ask For When Sleepy Joe Was in Charge for $500," Richard Grenell quipped in a post on X.

"If Democrats are so worried about the Epstein files and Epstein they shouldn't have Bill Clinton speaking at every DNC and democrat campaign event," Meghan McCain said in a post on X. "Like, who are we kidding here?"

Khanna responded, signaling that the criticisms were fair but that it's more important to deliver results to the American people.

"I am just saying we should get the files out there on a bipartisan basis to restore trust," Khanna said in response to McCain. "Let the chips fall where they may."

"The criticism I am receiving is Biden should have done this," Khanna said in another post on X. "Fine. But what is good now for the public? When we have a future Dem President, if Rs say let's support Medicare for All or tax the wealthy, I wouldn't call them out about the past. I'd say great. Let's get it done!"

Media Rushes To Use Biden Cancer To Bring Back Aging Cover Up

'I don’t want to hear anything else about Biden’s health coverup'

WATCH: The resurfaced newsclip Kamala Harris may regret

Now that the country is being forced to take Kamala Harris seriously, as she could soon become the Democratic presidential nominee, people are dredging up her past.

Dave Rubin plays an old clip from 2019 that’s resurfaced since the Harris hysteria began. According to him, it’s a perfect example of how Kamala “ is a communist [and] a socialist” and “does not believe that America is a fundamentally good place.”

Resurfaced ‘The View’ Clip That Kamala Harris May Regretyoutu.be

“Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the new darling of the party,” said Meghan McCain. “She's promoting policies like saying that every single carbon emission in the country – every car – should be eliminated within the next 11 years, everything from a 70% to 80% tax rate. Do you agree that she could possibly, in this ideology of the socialist left, could splinter your party?”

“No! You know, I think that she is challenging the status quo. I think that’s fantastic,” Harris began.

“You know, I used to teach … and the thing that I always loved about teaching was when you teach, it requires you to defend the premise, and it requires you to re-examine the premise and question is it still relevant? Does it have impact? Does it have meaning? And I think that [AOC] is introducing bold ideas that should be discussed,” she concluded.

Dave thinks that the only reason Harris defended AOC is because she is a fellow radical socialist.

“You are one of them,” he condemns.

'NO PEACE, B****': Meghan McCain spurns Kari Lake's invitation to get together and chat

Meghan McCain, a daughter of the late Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona, has spurned GOP U.S. Senate primary candidate Kari Lake's invitation to meet.

"Kari Lake is trying to walk back her continued attacks on my Dad (& family) and all of his loyal supporters after telling them to 'get the hell out'. Guess she realized she can't become a Senator without us. No peace, b****. We see you for who you are - and are repulsed by it," McCain tweeted.

In response, Lake invited McCain to get together and chat.

"I value you. I value your family and I value the passion you have for our state. I'd love nothing more than to buy you a beer, a coffee or lunch and pick your brain about how we can work together to strengthen our state. My team is sending you my contact info — if you’re willing to meet, it would mean a lot to me. Thank you, Meghan. I hope we can connect soon! God bless," Lake tweeted.

But McCain fired back by exclaiming with all capital letters, "NO PEACE, B****!"

"All Kari can do is extend the olive branch. If you refuse to take it, that's your call. This kind of blind anger is not conducive to bringing Arizona together. It won't stop Kari from trying," the Kari Lake War Room X account responded.

In the past, Lake made the comment, "We don't have any McCain Republicans in here do we?" before adding, "get the hell out."

During a recent radio interview, Lake said that she wants everybody's vote, including those who identify as a "McCain Republican" or "Trump Republican," as well as independents and "disaffected Democrats."

Bruce St. James, who identified himself as a "McCain Republican," said that Lake had told McCain Republicans they were not welcome. He asked her, "What changed?"

Lake pushed back, saying that was "not what I said," and asserting that her comment had been "joke."

Leaker, Liar, Turncoat, Nut Job

No Books. No Money. Just the Truth. That's the title of the meandering Substack post Steve Schmidt threw up last week at the tail end of a two-day Twitter bender. In that time, he didn't take more than an hour away from the keyboard, tapping out stilted and overwrought attacks against the late war hero John McCain and his daughter, Meghan.

Demise of CNN+ lampooned by former CNN employee, Kristi Noem, Meghan McCain, and Joe Rogan: 'Do you want to watch 'The Mandalorian' or extra Brian Stelter?'

Warner Bros. Discovery shuttered CNN+ last week – only three weeks after the failed streaming service launched. There were reports that CNN+ was only attracting 10,000 daily viewers despite the network having spent an estimated $300 million to launch the service and another $100 to $200 million to promote the doomed venture. Many reactions to the demise of CNN+ lampooned the network's disastrous streaming service.

Former CNN producer and network insider doubted the success of CNN+

A former CNN employee tore into the management of the ill-fated streaming service.

"I defy you to find any reasonable person who ever believed that viewers would pay extra money for the dregs of CNN when it was competing for their wallets with Netflix and Disney Plus," a former CNN producer told Fox News. "Do you want to watch ‘The Mandalorian’ or extra Brian Stelter?"

A CNN insider informed the outlet, "I didn't get this whole thing from day one. I'm not commenting on the content here. I mean – the basic product itself. I didn't get why the massive money was spent after a merger had been announced. It was like, 'Wheee! AT&T gave us the money, let's burn it!' I don't understand it."

Another CNN insider told the New York Post that the "big people will likely be saved," but the producers and showrunners face six months in severance or nothing at all.

"Everyone is aghast and furious," the insider told the Post.

Meghan McCain and Joe Rogan dance on the grave of CNN+

Meghan McCain wrote in the Daily Mail, "Keep in mind, these are also the same people who told coal miners who lost their jobs to go back to college and 'learn to code.'"

McCain pointed out that CNN's cable TV network lost 70% of its total audience between February 2021 and February 2022.

She asked, "Why would anyone at CNN believe that the American public would pay extra for content from a brand that is already struggling to bring in audiences?"

"If someone pitched this idea to me, I would have said that they had been spending too much time in the Hamptons with Chris Cuomo and not enough time in the real world where Tik Tok stars, Joe Rogan, and Fox News primetime are the dominating media forces," McCain added,

Speaking of Joe Rogan, the premiere podcast host also mocked the failed streaming service during a recent episode of "The Joe Rogan Experience."

"They spent $300 million. They got 10,000 subscribers," Rogan gleefully razzed CNN+. "Imagine the hubris of thinking that something that people don't want for free? That you're going to charge money for it."

Rogan parodied a possible CNN+ executive meeting about programming, "'We're gonna have a Jake Tapper book club.'"

Rogan added, "Jake Tapper seems like a great guy. But I mean, I feel like I don't have to pay for his book club. I feel like you should put that on Twitter."

During the podcast, British author and political commentator Douglas Murray jokingly disparaged the streaming service as "CNN Minus" instead of "CNN Plus."

Kristi Noem takes a shot at President Joe Biden

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem utilized the abrupt demise of CNN+ to bash President Joe Biden's decision to shut down the Keystone XL Pipeline.

CNN producer Ellie Smith urged people not to revel in the death of CNN+ because it left hundreds of people without jobs.

“PSA if you’re going to tweet something snarky about CNN+, hundreds of journalists and technicians who did nothing but work their tails off just had the rug pulled out from under them. So be kind," Smith wrote on Twitter.

The Republican governor of South Dakota shot back, "Now you know how the Keystone XL Pipeline workers feel."

Noem was referencing President Biden canceling the Keystone XL Pipeline – which cost at least 11,000 direct jobs.
