FACT CHECK: No, Donald Trump Did Not Say He Has Read ‘Mein Kampf’
There is no evidence that Trump said this.
If you’re wondering why leftists are constantly milling about in a state of anxiety and fear regarding former President Donald Trump, look no farther than the mainstream media.
The media are relentless in their attacks on Trump, and MSNBC is one of the worst offenders.
In a recent clip from “Chris Jansing Reports” on MSNBC, the host and guests ramp up their comparison of Donald Trump and Adolf Hitler, even doing a ridiculous side-by-side comparison between Trump’s words and the text of "Mein Kampf."
In what appears to be a Truth Social post, Trump writes: “Illegal immigration is poisoning the blood of our nation. They’re coming from prisons, from mental institutions — from all over the world. Without borders & fair elections, you don’t have a country. Make America great again!”
MSNBC compared it to this passage from "Mein Kampf": “The poison which has invaded the national body … especially the strong influx of foreign blood.”
One guest, historian Douglas Brinkley, tells the MSNBC host that Trump has “been dabbling in Adolf Hitler his whole life” and “keeps Hitler speeches at a bedside.”
“'Mein Kampf' seems to be the book that’s inspired Trump the most, so it’s heinous because it’s a kind of language meant to belittle people, dehumanize them,” Brinkley.
“Trump’s telling you that he doesn’t really mind the Hitler comparison, because at heart he admires Hitler.”
Dave Rubin believes this couldn’t be farther from the truth, and he has the most blatantly obvious receipts to back it up.
“His daughter and several of his grandchildren are Jewish. Do you know that? Hitler, not a fan of the Jews,” Rubin says.
“They just brought on a historian to claim that he knows what Donald Trump has on his bedside. Completely insane,” he adds.
