Twitter lifts ban on MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell: 'Thank you Elon Musk!'

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell returned to Twitter after being banned under the previous regime at the popular social media platform.

"I'm back!! Thank you @elonmusk and by the way MELT DOWN THE ELECTRONIC VOTING MACHINES AND TURN THEM INTO PRISON BARS!" he tweeted Friday.

    — Mike Lindell (@Mike Lindell) 1671221702

Lindell was originally banned permanently in January 2021 over his repeated claims of election fraud in the 2020 presidential election. Twitter released a statement explaining the suspension at the time.

"The account you referenced has been permanently suspended due to repeated violations of our Civic Integrity Policy," they said.

Lindell is an avid supporter of former President Donald Trump, and he has used his wealth to finance legal challenges to the official election results in numerous states. His claims led to Dominion Voting Systems filing a $1.3 billion lawsuit against Lindell, in which they claimed he was using the campaign as marketing to sell more pillows.

Lindell vowed to create his own social media platform after being banned and said that "Frank Speech" was going to be a combination of Twitter and YouTube.

In May, he attempted to evade the permanent ban by opening a different Twitter account, but that was immediately banned after a journalist alerted the company of his efforts.

In response to the Dominion lawsuit, Lindell has said that he welcomes the opportunity to present the evidence he says proves that "China and other countries used their machines to steal the election."

The pillow entrepreneur most recently made headlines when he announced a campaign to become the next chairperson of the Republican National Committee over the current chair, Ronna McDaniel, who had been previously endorsed by Trump.

Mike Lindell returns to Twitter, gets immediately suspended again

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell announced on Sunday that he was back on Twitter being permanently banned in 2021 for allegedly spreading conspiracy theories about voting machines being fixed to sway the 2020 presidential election in President Joe Biden's favor.

"Hello everybody, I'M BACK ON TWITTER. My only account is @MikeJLindell! Please RT and FOLLOW to SPREAD THE WORD," Lindell said on Twitter Sunday afternoon.

Lindell confirmed his return to Twitter in person during former President Donald Trump's rally today in Nebraska:

But Lindell's new account was quickly flagged by blue-check tattlers on the platform:

I've reached out to Twitter regarding Mike Lindell being back on their platform. So far, no comment on the matter.

And within hours, the pro-Trump pillow guy was back in Twitter exile...

Mike Lindell is developing his own social media platform to replace YouTube and Twitter

MyPillow founder and CEO Mike Lindell said that he's been developing a social media application that would restore free speech to those who were banned by the mainstream tech platforms.

Lindell made his plans public during an interview with Charlie Kirk on his podcast Friday.

"We're launching this big platform so all the voices of our country can come back and start telling it like it is again," said Lindell, according to the Business Insider.

"You will not need YouTube. You won't need these places. So it will be where everything can be told, because we've got to get our voices back," he explained. "People will be able to talk and not walk on eggshells."

Lindell said that he had been developing the platform for four years and that it was going to be broader than Twitter.

"Every single influencer person on the planet can come there. You're going to have a platform to speak out," he said. "It's not just like a little Twitter platform."

Lindell was himself expelled from Twitter after he continued to spread the debunked claim that Dominion Voting Systems had rigged the election against former President Donald Trump. Dominion later sued Lindell for defamation and asked for $1.3 billion in damages.

Twitter also suspended the MyPillow account after Lindell used it to tweet that Twitter's CEO would be imprisoned after his claims were confirmed.

"Jack Dorsey is trying to cancel me (Mike Lindell) out! We are extremely busy and hiring as fast as we can to handle all the shipping! Jack will be found out and should be put in prison when all is revealed!" he tweeted.

In January, Lindell said he welcomed the lawsuit from Dominion because it would give him the chance to prove his accusations.

"I want Dominion to put up their lawsuit because we have 100% evidence that China and other countries used their machines to steal the election," Lindell explained.

Lindell says he has lost millions in MyPillow revenue after companies dropped his product over his campaign to overturn the election results and re-install former President Donald Trump.
