Blaze News original: Damning new database names and shames hospitals that have subjected thousands of kids to sex-change mutilations

Do No Harm is a medical advocacy group that works with health care professionals, hospital administrators, patients, policymakers, and others to reverse the ideological capture of medicine and medical education.

Since 2022, DNH — which comprises members across all 50 states and in 14 countries — has focused primarily on curbing two harmful ideological currents in particular: DEI-branded racism and radical gender ideology. DNH made a major strategic play this week to help expose the latter.

The organization launched the Stop the Harm database Tuesday, revealing precisely which hospitals and medical facilities around the country are presently subjecting thousands of vulnerable children to sex-change mutilations and sterilizing chemical treatments.

Dr. Roy Eappen, an esteemed endocrinologist and senior fellow at Do No Harm who has spent over three decades treating patients, told Blaze News, "A lot of the activists in this field say things like, 'No children are getting these kinds of treatments, or there are very, very few.'"

Eappen emphasized that the data say otherwise — and now the American public can see the offenders listed and victims tallied for themselves, all in one place.

'It is crucial every parent familiarizes themselves with this database.'

DNH's national database, which provides breakdowns on a state-by-state and institutional basis, revealed that between 2019 and 2023, at least 13,994 children received sex-change medical interventions.

"This first-of-its-kind project provides patients, families, and policymakers with a resource that reveals the pervasiveness of irreversible sex-change treatments for minors in America," Dr. Stanley Goldfarb, chairman of DNH, said in a statement.

"The StopTheHarmDatabase.com that the incredible group Do No Harm put together is an incredible body of work," said Alvin Lui, president of the parental rights advocacy group Courage Is a Habit. "It is crucial every parent familiarizes themselves with this database."

DNH researchers analyzed publicly available insurance claims data "from an all-payer claims database that incorporated data from clearinghouses, data aggregators, payors, health systems, CMS, and multiple open data sources" as well as from commercial insurance, Medicaid, Medicare , and VA claims concerning confirmed sex-change-related treatments for minors ages 0 to 17.5.

They determined that a staggering 5,747 American children were subjected to sex-change mutilations over that short period.

Meanwhile, 62,682 prescriptions for sterilizing hormones and puberty blockers were written for 8,579 pediatric patients.

"That doesn't sound like a huge number, but I think it's way too many," said Dr. Eappen.

These figures are minimums as the researchers have admittedly only just scratched the surface.

'This data represents the tip of the iceberg.'

Dr. Eappen noted that the Kaiser Permanente health care consortium has, for instance, withheld its data concerning potential sex-change victims, and Lui noted that the "majority of transgender drugs and surgeries that are provided to children are still paid out of pocket."

Dr. Goldfarb noted that while "this data represents the tip of the iceberg, this is the first step in holding the medical establishment accountable for participating in, and often times promoting, predatory and unscientific medical interventions for vulnerable children."

Lui stressed that the "explosion of children getting sucked up into the cult since 2016 should frighten every parent in America."

While the trend got progressively worse in 2021 and 2022, there were potential signs of the trend tapering off in 2023.

Dr. Goldfarb told Blaze News:

In the majority of states, we saw a spike in minors undergoing sex change treatments between 2021 and 2022. For example, California saw a more than 50% increase between that time (2021-363 patients, 2022-687 patients). PA saw an ~30% increase (2021:105, 2022: 332). The numbers started to decline slightly in 2023, but that is also around the time when many states began to pass legislation banning '[gender-affirming care].' AL was the first to pass legislation in 2022 and was one of the only states to see a decline in minors undergoing sex change treatments in 2022.

Last year, however, Do No Harm observed a trend of fewer patients, "especially in states that have passed legislation banning 'GAC,'" said Goldfarb.

"Our plan with the next iteration of the database is to analyze the 2024 data to see if these states are in fact following the law, and if there is a downward trend in the states that are still allowing 'GAC,' especially now that the danger of ideology is more widely known," added the DNH chairman.

The current database makes abundantly clear that the mutilation and sterilization of America's youth is a profitable enterprise. Over $119.7 million was made during this period on child sex-change medical interventions.

When asked whether money or ideology was the driving force behind the sex-change industry's medicalization of children, who in most cases would alternatively grow out of their confusion, Dr. Eappen said, "I think it's actually a confluence of the two."

"Ideology is a big part of it. But you know, Marci Bowers, who's the chief of WPATH, which is the World Professional Association of Transgender Health, made a million dollars last year as a transgender surgeon," continued Dr. Eappen. "It can be quite a lucrative undertaking."

'You're also making children into patients for life.'

Dr. Melanie Crites-Bachert, a urologist and osteopathic surgeon with expertise in pelvic reconstruction, recently provided Blaze News with some idea of how much surgery centers can make performing various sex-change mutilations.

"A lot of these surgeries can be done in a surgery center. They are very lucrative with reimbursement," said Crites-Bachert. "If somebody were going to have an orchiectomy or castration — my former biller pulled up this information — the Medicare reimbursement is $324. To amputate a penis is $804. Now, keep in mind, therapeutically, you sometimes do need to amputate a penis if there's penile cancer or things like that, but purely amputating a penis is $804. A hysterectomy, an abdominal hysterectomy, is a little over $1,000. A vaginoplasty, which is basically reconstructing the vagina for things like trauma, is $1,161."

Crites-Bachert indicated that these figures represent Medicare reimbursements for therapeutic procedures and that a surgery center can expect 150-200% reimbursement above that from commercial insurance if a patient has commercial insurance paying these procedures.

"You're also making children into patients for life because a lot of these kids have complications from these kinds of surgery. And you're saying that they should be on their hormones basically forever," said Dr. Eappen.

According to Grand View Research, the U.S. sex reassignment hormone therapy market size was an estimated $1.6 billion in 2022 and is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 4.05% until 2030.

The Free Press noted that Planned Parenthood, whose business model has long appeared to be harming vulnerable human beings, is presently the country’s leading provider of sex-change hormones for young adults.

The Insight Partners estimated that the global sex-change surgery market will grow to nearly $7 billion by 2031.

Dr. Miriam Grossman, the board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist who authored the 2023 book "Lost in Trans Nation: A Child Psychiatrist’s Guide Out of the Madness," told Blaze News in September that surgeons and pharmaceutical reps will not be the only ones cashing in on victims of the sex-change regime.

Grossman noted that billions of dollars are "going to be made from reproductive technologies because we're producing a generation of sterilized people who are going to need egg and sperm donations. They're going to need IVF. They're going to need surrogates in order to have children."

'Medical gender reassignment does not have an impact on suicide risk.'

While there are hospitals that have far higher child sex-change billings, DNH's Stop the Harm database indicated that the 12 worst-offending children's hospitals promoting sex-change treatments for minors are as follows:

Blaze News reached out to the top offenders above for comment but received a response only from Children's Hospital Los Angeles, which noted it was "declining participation" in this report.

The continued medicalization of children is particularly egregious, not only because of the impossibility of getting informed consent from minor patients and in many cases their guardians — a troubling reality even WPATH scientists have admitted in private communications — but because of the ever-growing mountain of scientific literature indicating "gender-affirming care" is at best pseudoscience.

Gender ideologues and profit-incentivized health professionals have long told parents with confused children that they must choose between a "dead son or a live daughter" or between a "living son or a dead daughter” — the suggestion being that ruinous chemical treatments and irreversible surgeries are solutions to a gender-dysphoric child's supposed suicidality.

This claim has collapsed in recent years.

A peer-reviewed study published in January in the esteemed quarterly journal BMJ Mental Health revealed that "medical gender reassignment does not have an impact on suicide risk."

'You've sentenced a whole bunch of children to infertility and many other problems.'

"All-cause and suicide mortalities did not differ between those gender referred who had and had not proceeded to [sex-change surgeries] when psychiatric treatment history was accounted for," wrote the researchers.

The suicide argument is not the only core gender ideology claim to have recently crumbled.

Dr. Hilary Cass, an esteemed British medical doctor who previously served as president of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health, was commissioned by NHS England to lead a multi-year investigation into the U.K.'s sex-change regime, particularly its youth-facing services.

Her final report came out earlier this year, revealing that where so-called gender science is concerned, "There is not a reliable evidence base upon which to make clinical decisions, or for children and their families to make informed choices."

The Cass Review had the University of York undertake a series of systematic reviews on topic, which found that most of the "research" underpinning so-called gender science is of "poor quality," demonstrating "poor study design, inadequate follow-up periods and a lack of objectivity in reporting of results."

In the case of the puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones apparently foisted on children by Boston Children's Hospital and other offending institutions, the review made clear that the uses "are unproven and benefits/harms are unknown."

"In addition to this making it difficult for clinicians to know whether these are appropriate treatments to offer, it is also challenging to provide children, young people and families with sufficient information on which to make an informed choice," said the review. "The duty of information disclosure is complicated by many 'unknown unknowns' about the long-term impacts of puberty blocker and/or masculinizing/feminizing hormone during a dynamic developmental period when gender identity may not be settled."

"I'm appalled that in North America, the Cass Review has not received more attention," Dr. Eappen told Blaze News. "[Dr. Cass] was neutral, and she basically came to the conclusion that most of this should not be done."

Dr. Eappen suggested that the North American medical establishment is keen to ignore the mounting evidence of the sex-change regime's unscientific and harmful practices in part because of its ideological capture — a problem that not only affects medical institutions but various medical professional associations such as the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Endocrine Society. It may, however, also be a matter of guilt and liability.

"When you've done things that are basically irreversible, it's very hard to say that you've done something wrong," said Dr. Eappen. "I mean, you've sentenced a whole bunch of children to infertility and many other problems. How can you say that you made a mistake?"

Dr. Eappen indicated that for each of the victims tallied above, there are also parents who bear some responsibility, and it's "very hard to say that you've done something that's harmed your children."

Chloe Cole, a senior DNH fellow and patient advocate, is among the many Americans victimized by the sex-change regime.

Cole told the Florida Boards of Medicine and Osteopathic Medicine Joint Rules/Legislative Committee in 2022, "At 13, I started taking puberty blockers and testosterone. At 15, I underwent a double mastectomy in which my breasts were removed and my nipples were grafted. And yet, at 16, after years of medically transitioning, I came to realize I severely regretted my transition."

Cole — who recently endorsed President Donald Trump "because he's committed to protecting children from these rash decisions" — said in a statement, "This new project from Do No Harm proves the lies from the medical establishment and radical politicians who argue that cases like mine are rare."

"The stats in this database represent thousands of kids who are being treated like Guinea pigs for unproven, and sometimes dangerous, medical experiments," continued Cole. "I hope politicians and parents alike use this database to see where these treatments are happening and protect their children from being rushed into irreversible, life-altering treatments."

When discussing the best ways to cripple the sex-change regime, Dr. Eappen told Blaze News that:

DNH has helped several legislatures pass laws because if the medical field doesn’t self-regulate itself properly, I think it’s the responsibility of the government to do something about it. I would prefer not to pass laws — I would prefer that doctors look at the risk-benefit ratio and see that the risks outweigh the benefits and act accordingly. But if they're not going to do that, [laws] are one way. The other is lawsuits: make it expensive for them to continue with this kind of procedure.

The Stop the Harm database might, in this regard, serve to provide a list of prospective institutional defendants as well as highlight states where children need legislative protection from the sex-change regime.

Prominent victim of the sex-change regime endorses Trump in gut-wrenching ad

De-transitioner Chloe Cole announced Monday that she is endorsing President Donald Trump because of his plan to protect children from the ravages of the ideologically captive and unscientific sex-change regime, which Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, alternatively support.

"When I was 12 years old, doctors led me to believe that I was transgender," said Cole, now 20. "I was told that puberty blockers, hormones and surgeries were my only options. They were wrong."

Cole noted that her body has been irreversibly transmogrified and that she must spend the rest of her life dealing with the consequences.

The de-transitioner went into greater detail in 2022, telling the Florida Boards of Medicine and Osteopathic Medicine Joint Rules/Legislative Committee, "At 13, I started taking puberty blockers and testosterone. At 15, I underwent a double mastectomy in which my breasts were removed and my nipples were grafted. And yet, at 16, after years of medically transitioning, I came to realize I severely regretted my transition."

Despite having been a "very feminine girl" from a young age, Cole noted she was soon barraged by "inappropriate content" in "an echo chamber of far-left ideology," which suggested sex and gender are separate and that children suffering from confusion ought to go under the knife.

'He's committed to protecting children from these rash decisions.'

Last year, Chloe Cole filed a suit against the Permanente Medical Group, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, and Kaiser Foundation Hospitals, which performed, supervised, and/or advised transgender hormone therapy and surgical intervention on her between the ages of 13 and 16.

Cole accused the defendants of "failing to provide [her] with competent informed consent regarding the treatment options available and the relevant risks and benefits of treatments."

The lawsuit also accused the defendants of "manipulating [her] and her parents into a false decision making matrix by deliberately obscuring relevant information, by presenting false and misleading information, and by thwarting their rational decision making process through inserting an emotionally supercharged ultimatum of a grossly exaggerated suicide risk when no such risk existed for Chloe."

While Kamala Harris, Tim Walz, and other Democrats support so-called "gender-affirming care" for adults and children alike, Cole's concerns about informed consent raise what may be a universal problem with the sex-change operations — especially if patients are not made aware of recent studies and government-sponsored investigations indicating "gender-affirming care" is largely ineffective and dangerous and based on bad science.

Dr. Melanie Crites-Bachert, a urologist and osteopathic surgeon with expertise in pelvic reconstruction, recently told Blaze News that when it comes to sex-change medical interventions, "Informed consent is severely lacking here. You're not giving patients all of the information that they need to make these types of decisions, especially minors."

"I still think that adults are not given the proper informed consent," continued Crites-Bachert. "But when you're talking about children, this is the most vulnerable of our population. They are vulnerable at that time in their life where hormones are everywhere. ... They are being promised a magic injection or a magic pill: 'Oh yes, all of your problems will be solved.'"

Cole emphasized in her ad that when it comes to protecting kids, the choice is clear.

"Today, Kamala Harris is pushing children into these procedures, limiting their choices later on in life," said Cole. "That's why I'm voting for Donald Trump — because he's committed to protecting children from these rash decisions."

The last time Harris ran for president, she indicated in an American Civil Liberties Union questionnaire that she would use her executive authority to ensure that transvestites and so-called "non-binary people" who rely on the state for medical care would be provided with "comprehensive treatment associated with gender transition," including sex-change mutilations.

Harris, who has since signaled support for sex-changes for minors, clarified that she would also ensure taxpayer-funded sex changes for federal prisoners and illegal aliens, stressing that "transition treatment is a medical necessity."

The Biden-Harris administration indicated in July that it supported overturning bans on sex-change mutilations for minors.

Neera Tanden, domestic policy adviser to President Joe Biden, said in a statement obtained by the Guardian, "Families should have the freedom to make the medical decisions that they and their doctors determine are best for them — which is why we oppose attempts to limit healthcare for transgender individuals in the courts or through legislation."

The activist outfit Advocates for Trans Equality endorsed Harris on July 22, stating, "A Harris Administration would not only uphold but also expand upon the protections for transgender Americans established by the Biden Administration."

Tim Walz has similarly staked out an extreme position, issuing a gubernatorial decree on March 8, 2023, making Minnesota a "refuge" for those who would provide confusion-affirming genital mutilations and sterilizing hormone therapies to kids and adults alike.

"All state agencies must, to the fullest extent of their lawful authority, pursue opportunities and coordinate with each other to protect people or entities providing, assisting, seeking, or obtaining gender affirming health care services in Minnesota," wrote Walz.

Trump, meanwhile, has repeatedly pledged to penalize health care providers that provide sex-change medical interventions to minors if elected in November.

Trump vowed in February 2023 to "stop the chemical, physical, and emotional mutilation of our youth because no serious country should be telling its children that they were born with the wrong gender."

To this end, he indicated he would:

  • revoke the Biden-Harris administration's "cruel policies on so-called 'gender-affirming care'";
  • sign an executive order instructing every federal agency to cease all programs that promote the concept of gender transition;
  • lean on Congress to defund efforts to promote or pay for sex changes;
  • help pass a law "prohibiting child sexual mutilation on all 50 states"; and
  • direct his Department of Justice to investigate the pharmaceutical industry and various hospitals to determine whether they "deliberately covered up horrific long-term side effects of sex transitions in order to get rich."

Cole emphasized Monday, "Zero elected democrat politicians on the federal level have fought to keep children from getting sterilized or mutilated in the name of 'gender affirming care.'"

While radicals have renewed their attacks on the de-transitioner, her ad was otherwise well-received.

Elon Musk said, "Bravo!"

The parental rights advocacy group Courage Is a Habit tweeted, "Thank you for never stopping."

Time magazine tries defending Harris by fact-checking Trump — then forced into all-time correction

During Tuesday's debate, President Donald Trump said that Kamala Harris "wants to do transgender operations on illegal aliens that are in prison," adding, "This is a radical left liberal that would do this."

The liberal media dutifully rushed to defend the vice president, claiming that Trump's assertion was false — which it is not. In doing so, misleading publications like the New Yorker not only drew greater attention to Harris' desire to mutilate illegal aliens' genitals using taxpayer money, but to their own propagandic nature.

Time magazine, another publication whose writers evidently underestimated Harris' radicalism, was among the offenders. Confronted with the truth of Trump's claim, it had to issue an embarrassing correction Wednesday.

'The truth was too crazy for the fact checkers.'

On Monday, CNN's investigative outfit KFile unearthed an American Civil Liberties Union questionnaire completed in 2019 by then-Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), which revealed several of Harris' extreme positions and goals.

Harris indicated that she supported the decriminalization of all drug possession for personal use; statehood for Washington, D.C.; the repeal of the Hyde Amendment; ending illegal alien detention facilities; and cutting Immigration and Customs Enforcement funding.

Harris also vowed to ensure that "federal prisoners and detainees are able to obtain medically necessary care for gender transition, including surgical care, while incarcerated or detained."

Time magazine, which has previously concern-mongered about "disinformation" and "fake news," originally reported:

The former President repeated a baseless Internet rumor that migrant invaders were killing and eating pet dogs and cats in Springfield, Ohio, and falsely claimed that Harris 'wants to do transgender operations on illegal aliens in prison.'

The publication has since updated the article to read:

Trump glowered and grimaced, spewing old grievances and strange new attacks. The former President repeated a baseless Internet rumor that migrant invaders were killing and eating pet dogs and cats in Springfield, Ohio, and claimed that Harris 'wants to do transgender operations on illegal aliens in prison.'

The latest version contains a corrective note at the very bottom admitting that Time's original story "mischaracterized as false Donald Trump's statement accusing Kamala Harris of supporting 'transgender operations on illegal aliens in prison.'"

"As a presidential candidate in 2019, Harris filled out a questionnaire saying she supported taxpayer-funded gender transition treatment for detained immigrants," added Time's correction.

Donald Trump Jr. noted on X, "Unreal."

Former presidential candidate and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy said, "Turns out the truth was too crazy for the fact checkers."

Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk tweeted, "Kamala, TIME, and ABC collectively got owned on one simple, easily confirmed fact-check. This is fantastic."

Major medical association breaks from the herd on the issue of sex-change mutilations for kids

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, several of whose members are currently being sued by detransitioners, has reportedly distanced itself from the practice of providing children with sex-change mutilations, casting doubt on such procedures' value and efficacy.

The organization, which represents roughly 11,000 members in the U.S. and Canada, recently told Manhattan Institute fellow Leor Sapir that it "has not endorsed any organization's practice recommendations for the treatment of adolescents with gender dysphoria" — an apparent reference to the recommendations advanced by the radical and scandal-plagued World Professional Association of Transgender Health.

The ASPS also acknowledged that there is "considerable uncertainty as to the long-term efficacy for the use of chest and genital surgical interventions," adding that "the existing evidence base is viewed as low quality/low certainty."

Sapir noted:

In evidence-based medicine, "low quality" evidence means something very specific: that the true effect of an intervention is likely to be markedly different from the results reported in studies. As one expert in evidence-based medicine put it, low quality "doesn't just mean something esoteric about study design, it means there’s uncertainty about whether the long-term benefits outweigh the harms."

The feedback from the ASPS echoes some of the conclusions reached in the groundbreaking Cass Review, which effectively hammered the final nail into the coffin for the "gender-affirming care" narrative earlier this year.

Dr. Hilary Cass, a British medical doctor who previously served as president of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health, was appointed by the National Health Service in England in 2020 to lead an independent investigation into Britain's sex-change regime and its youth-facing services.

Blaze News previously reported that the Cass' 388-page final report, which was released in April, revealed that:

  • the "systematic review showed no clear evidence that social transition in childhood has any positive or negative mental health outcomes, and relatively weak evidence for any effect in adolescence";
  • puberty blockers compromise bone density and have no apparent impact on "gender dysphoria or body satisfaction";
  • there is "insufficient and/or inconsistent evidence about the effects of puberty suppression on gender dysphoria, mental and psychosocial health, cognitive development, cardio-metabolic risk, and fertility";
  • there is "a lack of high-quality research assessing the outcomes of hormones for masculinisation or feminisation in adolescents with gender dysphoria or incongruence and few studies that undertake long-term follow-up"; and
  • so-called gender-affirming care is "an area of remarkably weak evidence."

While the report proved consequential in the U.K., it has been less impactful on this side of the Atlantic, at least with major medical associations.

'I think that's where you're misleading the public.'

The American Academy of Pediatrics, for instance, still has WPATH recommendations included in its guidance. Last summer, the organization — which represents around 67,000 pediatricians — reaffirmed its support for child sex changes.

Cass told the New York Times in May that the AAP is "holding on to a position that is now demonstrated to be out of date by multiple systematic reviews."

"It wouldn't be too much of a problem if people were saying, 'This is clinical consensus and we're not sure.' But what some organizations are doing is doubling down on saying the evidence is good. And I think that's where you're misleading the public. You need to be honest about the strength of the evidence and say what you’re going to do to improve it," said Cass.

Sapir learned of ASPS' uncertainty after contacting the group last month for comment about the leaked World Professional Association of Transgender Health internal documents detailed by Environmental Progress and discussed at length by nationally syndicated radio host and co-founder of Blaze Media Glenn Beck.

— (@)

WPATH members were quoted in Environmental Progress researcher Mia Hughes' report discussing giving irreversible medical treatments to mentally compromised patients incapable of providing consent; the inability of parents and adolescents to comprehend the long-term fallout of so-called gender affirmation; putting a gloss on post-operation regrets; and the fallout of sex-change mutilations.

The ASPS told Sapir that it is aware that WPATH suppressed systematic reviews of evidence while developing its so-called standards of care.

Blaze News previously noted that the Biden-Harris administration's transvestic assistant secretary of Health and Human Services successfully pressured WPATH to remove minimum age requirements from its standards of care document.

The ASPS indicated it is now "reviewing and prioritizing several initiatives that best support evidence-based gender surgical care to provide guidance to plastic surgeons."

‘We Are Men And Women’: Texas Supreme Court Upholds State Protections Against Child Transing

The ruling comes just 10 days after Biden’s DOJ indicted a doctor who exposed Texas Children’s Hospital's body-butchering services.

Biden admin successfully pressured WPATH to drop recommended age minimums for sex-change mutilations

The World Professional Association for Transgender Health is the organization responsible for the "gender medicine" guidelines regarded as authoritative by various American health institutions and groups, including the American Medical Association, the Endocrine Society, and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

While Britain's landmark Cass Review and other studies have demonstrated WPATH's recommendations to be largely indefensible, a report published in March by Environmental Progress revealed that the organization may not be wholly interested in sound defenses. After all, some of its members appear to be freewheeling radicals happily engaged in horrifying pseudo-science.

According to Mia Hughes' 242-page report, WPATH members "demonstrate a lack of consideration for long-term patient outcomes despite being aware of the debilitating and potentially fatal side effects of cross-sex hormones and other treatments."

Internal documents and videos detailed in the report revealed that WPATH members have knowingly given irreversible medical treatments to mentally compromised victims incapable of providing consent; acknowledged minors cannot comprehend the long-term consequences of so-called gender affirmation; glossed over the regrets of victims of sex changes; and manufactured fake body parts in elective surgeries that do not "exist in nature."

Despite WPATH's clear lack of mooring in science and ethics, the organization is still apparently not extreme enough for the Biden administration.

According to an unsealed court document in the federal case Boe v. Marshall, Biden's transvestic assistant secretary of Health and Human Services successfully pressured WPATH to drop its recommended minimum age requirements for sex-change mutilations.

The Southern Poverty Law Center, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, and various other leftist groups have been working in Boe to undermine the democratic will of the residents of Alabama by axing the Alabama Vulnerable Child Compassion and Protection Act. The act banned the administration of sterilizing puberty blockers, sex-change mutilations, or cross-sex hormones to minors.

The unsealed document that details conversations between the organization's leadership and Rachel Levine regarding WPATH's "Standards of Care Version 8" — as well as other subpoenaed materials WPATH apparently fought in court to keep hidden — is part of a broader report submitted in the case by Dr. James Cantor in support of Alabama's ban.

One internal WPATH message noted, "I have just spoken to Admiral Levine today, who — as always is extremely supportive of the SOC 8, but also very eager for its release — so to ensure integration in the US health policies of the Biden government. So, let's crack on with the job."

Another WPATH message indicated that Levine not only sought to rush the process but had communicated to the organization via his chief of staff, Sarah Boateng, that the "biggest concern is the section below in the Adolescent Chapter that lists specific minimum ages for treatment."

The New York Times indicated that the draft guidelines initially recommended age minimums of 17 for genital mutilations, 15 for healthy breast removals, 16 for breast implants, and 14 for hormone treatments.

Levine wanted these minimums eliminated and to expose vulnerable children to unnecessary surgeries WPATH members elsewhere acknowledged they could not consent to — not because of scientific evidence but because of politics.

"[Levine] is confident, based on the rhetoric she is hearing in DC, and from what we have already seen, that these specific listings of ages, under 18, will result in devastating legislation for trans care," said the internal WPATH message. "She wonders if the specific ages can be taken out and perhaps an adjunct document could be created that is published or distributed in a way that is less visible than the SOC8, is the way to go."

"The issue of ages and treatment has been quite controversial (mainly for surgery) and it has come up again," said another internal WPATH message. "We sent the document to Admiral Levine. ... She like [sic] the SOC-8 very much but she was very concerned that having ages (mainly for surgery) will affect access to health care for trans youth and maybe adults too. Apparently the situation in the USA is terrible and she and the Biden administration worried that having ages in the document will make matters worse. She asked us to remove them. We have the WPATH executive committee in this meeting and we explained to her that we could not just remove them at this stage."

In a subsequent message, WPATH confirmed that in response to Levine's requests, the organization had made changes to how the minimum ages were presented in the documents.

The court document indicated further that rather than admit Levine's influence in the face of questions over its abrupt and visible removal of recommended age minimums, WPATH "fabricated a false explanation."

WPATH suggested that the changes were the result of an effort to place the "emphasis back on individualized patient care rather than some sort of minimal final hurdle that could encourage superficial evaluations and treatments outside of the thorough and comprehensive pathway recommended by WPATH standards."

Cantor told the Times, "What's being told to the public is totally different from WPATH's discussions in private."

Mia Hughes, whose report exposed WPATH earlier this year, reached a similar conclusion, but went farther, telling Blaze Media co-founder and nationally syndicated radio host Glenn Beck last month, "The Hippocratic Oath has long been abandoned by these people."

Biden’s DOJ Indicts Texas Doctor Who Blew The Whistle On Radical Gender Experiments

Haim maintains that medical staff who continued to subject children to dangerous gender experiments were a serious and imminent threat.

Top British pediatrician: US medical establishment is 'misleading' the public about the science behind child sex changes

The British medical establishment was long captive to gender ideology. It is now coming to terms with the error of its ways, having realized that the supposed "right side of history" where the trans-activist flag waves proudly is actually the province of pseudoscience, misery, and mutilation.

Dr. Hilary Cass, a British medical doctor who previously served as president of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health, hammered the final nail into the coffin for the "gender-affirming care" narrative in April.

Cass, a highly esteemed recipient of the Order of the British Empire, was appointed by the National Health Service in England in 2020 to lead an independent investigation into Britain's sex-change regime and its youth facing services. Her 388-page final report — released shortly after England effectively banned the prescription of puberty blockers and shuttered the infamous Tavistock child gender-identity clinic — made abundantly clear that the evidence in support of "gender-affirming care" was "weak" at best.

In addition to highlighting unreliable science and the fallout of sex-change interventions, Cass noted that sex-change procedures did not impact suicide risk or deliver on other promised results and that mutilated children may likely have otherwise outgrown their confusion.

These conclusions sent various radicals into fits of rage. Cass has since become a popular target, even for some leftist lawmakers.

Cass recently expressed amazement that whereas Britain is now pumping the brakes on its mutilatory practices — joining the ranks of other Western nations like Finland and Norway — the American medical establishment is ostensibly speeding along with reckless abandon.

'Do what you've been trained to do.'

In a recent interview with the New York Times, Cass was confronted with recent reactions stateside to her findings.

The Endocrine Society reportedly said, "We stand firm in our support of gender-affirming care," suggesting that it is "needed and often lifesaving."

While the American Academy of Pediatrics reportedly declined to comment on the specifics of Cass' landmark report, its woke president, Ben Hoffman, said, "Politicians have inserted themselves into the exam room, which is dangerous for both physicians and for families."

The AAP, which has repeatedlylashed out against red states for protecting children from child sex-change mutilations, reiterated that its guidance is "grounded in evidence and science."

'What some organizations are doing is doubling down on saying the evidence is good. And I think that’s where you’re misleading the public.'

The AAP's guidance incorporates recommendations from the scandal-plagued World Professional Association of Transgender Health, which Environmental Progress and nationally syndicated radio host and cofounder of Blaze Media Glenn Beck have in recent months exposed as a pseudoscientific activist organization whose members have indicated as much behind closed doors.

Blaze News previously reported that WPATH members are quoted in Environmental Progress researcher Mia Hughes' bombshell report discussing: giving irreversible medical treatments to mentally compromised patients incapable of providing consent; the inability of parents and adolescents to comprehend the long-term fallout of so-called gender affirmation; putting a gloss on post-operation regrets; and the ruinous side effects of sex-change mutilations.

The AAP appears to still regard WPATH as a credible organization.

Cass took issue with the American organizations' apparent aversion to the facts about "gender-affirming care."

"When I was president of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health, we did some great work with the A.A.P.," Cass told the Times. "They are an organization that I have enormous respect for. But I respectfully disagree with them on holding on to a position that is now demonstrated to be out of date by multiple systematic reviews."

Cass suggested it "wouldn't be too much of a problem if people were saying 'This is clinical consensus and we're not sure.' But what some organizations are doing is doubling down on saying the evidence is good. I think that's where you're misleading the public."

"You need to be honest about the strength of the evidence and say what you're going to do to improve it," continued Cass. "I suspect that the A.A.P., which is an organization that does massive good for children worldwide, and I see as a fairly left-leaning organization, is fearful of making any moves that might jeopardize trans health care right now."

Hoffman, prickled by Cass' suggestion, later stated that "any suggestion the American Academy of Pediatrics is misleading families is false."

'What really worries me is that people just think: This is somebody who is trans, and the medical pathway is the right thing for them.'

The esteemed British pediatrician suggested that perhaps if the AAP was not subject to such intense political pressure, "They would be able to be more nuanced, to say that multiple truths exist in this space — that there are children who are going to need medical treatment, and that there are other children who are going to resolve their distress in different ways."

When pressed on what doctors should do moving forward, Cass minced no words: "Do what you've been trained to do."

"So that means that you approach any one of these young people as you would any other adolescent, taking a proper history, doing a proper assessment and maintaining a curiosity about what’s driving their distress," said Cass. "It may be about diagnosing autism, it may be about treating depression, it might be about treating an eating disorder."

"What really worries me is that people just think: This is somebody who is trans, and the medical pathway is the right thing for them," added Cass.
