Watch: John Bolton takes a reporter to school on the 'so-called state of Palestine'
Wednesday at the White House press briefing, National Security Adviser John Bolton shut down a reporter who took issue with Bolton addressing Palestine as a "so-called state."
The reporter asked Bolton if that sort of language was "productive."
"It's accurate," Bolton replied.

"It is not a state," Bolton added.
"It's not a state now. It does not meet the customary international law test of statehood. It doesn't control defined boundaries. It doesn't fulfill the normal functions of government. There are a whole host of reasons why it's not a state," Bolton said.
