Embattled pro-life volunteer Mark Houck reaches 7-figure DOJ settlement after years of fighting bogus case under Biden

While it can be dangerous for pro-life Americans to stand up for what they believe in and pray for an end to abortion, one battle has finally drawn to a close — with a happy ending.

In a blog post late last week, 40 Days for Life announced that the Department of Justice has settled with pro-life volunteer Mark Houck after a years-long legal battle following a case involving a dispute outside an abortion clinic.

'All Americans who believe in the rule of law and in the nonpartisan administration of justice should celebrate Mark Houck's victorious settlement.'

In a video statement announcing the legal win, 40 Days for Life CEO and President Shawn Carney touted the case as a "huge legal victory for free speech."

Carney added that the change in administration aided efforts immensely, saying, "We got so much persecution from the DOJ under Biden, and President Trump has corrected that."

Houck reached a settlement with the DOJ resulting in a payout of over $1 million, according to 40 Days for Life.

C.J. Doyle, the executive director of the Catholic Action League of Massachusetts, said in a statement to Blaze News: "All Americans who believe in the rule of law and in the nonpartisan administration of justice should celebrate Mark Houck's victorious settlement with the Department of Justice. Houck was the victim of ideologically driven prosecutorial overreach by a corrupt, politicized Biden DOJ which had a history of selective prosecutions of FACE Act cases."

"This unwarranted prosecution was preceded by a gratuitous, grossly excessive display of force by FBI agents in arresting Houck in front of his family. The attorneys from 40 Days for Life, who represented Houck, are to be commended for their successful defense of the First Amendment guarantees of free speech and the free exercise of religion," Doyle added.

Houck's case started in 2021, when he and his son were confronted by an angry abortion escort outside an abortion clinic in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Houck reportedly pushed the escort away in order to protect his son.

The abortion escort fell to the ground but did not sustain any serious injuries.

Subsequently, Houck's home was raided by armed state and federal agents, after which he was reportedly chained to a table for six hours and threatened with 11 years in federal prison related to violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act. He was ultimately charged with intimidating and shoving the clinic escort in violation of the FACE Act.

Houck was quickly acquitted by a jury in January 2023, and because he did not take a deal with the DOJ, he was able to sue for damages after the dramatic arrest in front of his wife and children.

Houck was an early volunteer with 40 Days for Life, which has helped save the lives of over 26,000 babies and helped close over 180 abortion clinics since 2007, according to the organization's website.

Left blames Trump for shooting near White House — despite Afghan migrant suspect

Two National Guard members were shot in what is believed to be a targeted attack near the White House — and the left is already blaming the president for the devastating holiday shooting.

One left-wing X account titled “Call to Activism” wrote, “BREAKING: Both National Guard members who were shot in Washington, DC, just one block from the White House, have died from their injuries. God bless them and their families.”

“History will wonder what we’re all thinking: why did Trump have to put them in harm’s way for a STUNT?” the user added.

“Of course, that’s not true,” BlazeTV host Stu Burguiere says on “Stu Does America.” “But again, when is that ever the consideration when posting something?”

When West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrisey wrote a heartfelt response to the shooting on X, one X user responded, “They should not have been there. You sent them to die for a stunt.”

Keith Olbermann also took the time to respond, writing, “Trump put them in harm’s way, fash.”

“Now, fash in this particular sense is short for fascist, which he’s said about every Republican he’s ever come across for as long as anyone’s known him,” Burguiere comments, pointing out that some are even blaming the shooting on guns.

“If you want to go and kill one person with a gun, it’s relatively easy to do anywhere in the world. So it’s just insane to blame this on guns,” he says.

However, the suspect has been identified as Rahmanullah Lakanwal, a 29-year-old man who came to the U.S. from Afghanistan in 2021.

“This is something the Biden administration wanted and executed in the worst possible fashion,” Burguiere says.

“You can’t control whether one person does something terrible. We have people, we have our own citizens, who do plenty of terrible things. This is why you don’t import more of it, right? We have enough crap going on here already without bringing in people who will kill us from foreign conflicts with nations we were at war with very recently. It doesn’t make any sense to import more of that,” he continues.

“If you import somebody like that, you better freaking be sure things go well,” he adds.

Democrats twist what’s left of Epstein evidence to target Trump

Jeffrey Epstein is back in the news, and this time it’s because the Democrats are yet again trying to pin Epstein’s evil on President Trump.

Blaze Media co-founder Glenn Beck believes it’s all part of a “plan.”

“The way this thing has been played out, Democrats are completely against bringing anything out about Epstein. They don’t want to do anything about it,” Glenn explains, noting that it was largely ignored by the Democrats under former President Biden.

“And you know, what’s funny is it is just so full of stuff about Donald Trump. Then why wouldn’t they release just that? Why wouldn’t have the Democrats released anything in the Epstein files?” Glenn asks.

“They don’t have anything.”

As for the Democrats, Glenn explains that there’s nothing to release about them because the Epstein files were already in their hands.

“The most powerful people with powerful connections to government, they knew their names were, you know, there on little guest books at the island or whatever. You don’t think they called in some favors and said, ‘Hey, I need that — can you remove that?’” he says.

“You don’t think that there were people that were like, ‘Hey, you know what? We’ll remove that. We need $100 million from you to help out on this campaign.’ I mean, whatever it is, those names are gone too. They’re gone,” he continues.

“How do I know this? Because the government is completely dishonest,” he adds.

And what the Democrats have pulled on Trump appears to be grasping at straws, releasing an email from Epstein that read, “The only dog that hasn’t barked is Trump.”

“I think Epstein is referring to the fact that he believed that Donald Trump talked to Michael Ryder, who was the Palm Beach police chief in 2004 and began the first investigation into Jeffrey Epstein. So in other words, he was the whistleblower,” Glenn says.

“If you think things are going to be released that are going to get Trump, why would you release that where after two days of it being out, the guy who was part of that email who hates Donald Trump is like, ‘Yeah, that’s not what it means. It means he was the whistleblower,’” he continues.

In the same email, the Democrats made sure to redact Virginia Giuffre's name — but it wasn’t to protect her.

“She has said that he was nothing but respectful and never was with any of the girls at all, in not only her book, but also in testimony under oath,” BlazeTV host Stu Burguiere tells Glenn.

“I mean, this does not hurt Donald Trump,” Glenn adds. “It helps Donald Trump.”

Fact-check: Sorry, Gavin, census data was calculated under Biden

California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) took a shot at a social media post by Senator Jim Banks (R-Ind.) on Monday and implied that Donald Trump was at fault for any "shadiness" with the 2020 census data. However, U.S. Census Bureau data clearly shows that Newsom's jab is misleading.

"The 2020 Census was a fraud. The Biden admin used a shady 'privacy' formula that scrambled the data and miscounted 14 states. It included illegal immigrants and handed Democrats extra seats. Americans deserve a fair count and I'm fighting to fix it," Banks said in a post on X.

The delivery of apportionment data was 'shifted 4 months' from December 28, 2020, to April 26, 2021.

Newsom replied to Banks, saying, "Donald Trump was the President in 2020."

While Newsom correctly pointed out that Trump was in office in 2020, he misled on who is to blame for faulty calculations in the 2020 census data.

The census count began in Toksook Bay, Alaska, on January 21, 2020, and generally opened to the public on March 12, 2020. By April 1, 2020, the official Census Day, "most households had received an invitation to participate in the 2020 Census," according to a government website.

However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, several steps for data collection and reporting to Congress were delayed by months, according to a U.S. Census Bureau schedule fact sheet. For example, the original self-response deadline, July 31, was delayed two and a half months to October 15.

The window for delivering redistricting data, originally scheduled for February 18 to March 31, 2021, was "shifted 6 months" to August 12 to September 16, 2021, the fact sheet said.

Most importantly, however, is the shift of the constitutionally mandated calculation and delivery of census data to Congress. The delivery of apportionment data was "shifted 4 months" from December 28, 2020, to April 26, 2021, the fact sheet noted. By that point, President Trump was no longer in office, and President Joe Biden had taken over.

The Brennan Center for Justice confirmed that then-"Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo delivered the population totals and congressional seat apportionments to President Biden on April 26," 2021. Biden was then required to "transmit the population totals and seat apportionment to Congress, which will send the governors of each state certificates showing them how many seats their state will have going forward."

'F**k you!' Hunter Biden explodes over deportations in interview about his dad, immigration, and George Clooney

Former first son Hunter Biden went on several expletive-laden rants about issues ranging from illegal immigration to the treatment of his father by the media.

Biden spoke to "Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan," a left-wing YouTube channel that has long covered Donald Trump rallies and interviewed strange characters.

The former president's son gave a whopping three-hour interview highlighted by comments he made about President Biden's cognitive capabilities, coupled with a vehement condemnation of the deportation of illegal immigrants.

'By the numbers, what influence does Jake Tapper have over anything? He has the smallest audience on cable news.'

Clips of Biden were seen by millions in mere hours, including the 55-year-old disagreeing with Democrats who have pointed out that American citizens are upset with illegal immigration.

"All these Democrats say, 'You have to talk about and realize that people are really upset about illegal immigration,'" Biden told the host before quickly escalating his rhetoric.

"F**k you! How do you think your hotel room gets cleaned? How do you think you have food on your f**king table? Who do you think washes your dishes? Who do you think does your f**king garden?" Biden ranted.

After listing a series of job categories frequently filled by illegal labor, Biden claimed that illegal immigrants have admirable determination.

"Who do you think is here by the f**king, sheer f**king just grit and will that they figured out a way to get here because they thought that they could give theirselves and their family a better chance?" Biden said of the illegal aliens.

Biden also stated that he did not believe illegal immigrants are criminals, but his comments later on about his father's obvious cognitive decline on the 2024 campaign trail made for more fiery television.

Biden lashed out at celebrities and commentators who pointed out his father's decline, and he frequently used curse words to describe the ethics of President Biden's detractors.

First, Biden unleashed on actor George Clooney, who penned a New York Times op-ed suggesting that Joe Biden resign as nominee for the Democratic Party.

"F**k him. F**k him. F**k him and everybody around him. I don't have to be f**king nice," Biden unloaded.

The Delaware native also discredited political analysts like James Carville and David Axelrod for what he described as their lack of accomplishments. Biden then decided it was CNN host Jake Tapper's turn. Tapper released a book in May, an exposé citing insider reports about President Biden's brain functions.

Biden criticized Tapper for doing "a two-week informercial" to promote the book, even though Tapper's "ratings just went to s**t after he put the book out."

"I mean, it was such a money grab, such a disservice to everybody that he serves with," Biden continued, while also mocking the size of Tapper's audience.

"By the numbers, what influence does Jake Tapper have over anything? He has the smallest audience on cable news."

Biden was also asked about his father's debate performance against President Trump, which, by most accounts, was the spiritual end to his campaign.

Biden chalked up his father's appearance to globe-trotting jet lag.

"I know exactly what happened in that debate. He flew around the world basically. ... He's 81 years old. He's tired as s**t. [They] give him Ambien to be able to sleep. He gets up on the stage, and he looks like he's a deer in the headlights."

Other topics in the discussion included Biden admitting to drinking "almost a handle of vodka a day" and the physical toll crack cocaine takes on the body. However, he insisted that alcoholism is far worse than crack addiction.

Texas flood lies: From FEMA cuts to climate blame

The devastating Texas flood tragedy has been met with heroism, kindness, and, of course, a shocking surge of political spin and falsehoods from the left.

“You get the run-of-the-mill, standard nonsense, of course, from House Democrats saying climate change is obviously a part of the Texas flooding,” BlazeTV host Stu Burguiere says on “Stu Does America.”

“You can understand the corollary of why you might say something as dumb as that. The issue, of course, is, why would you go to that place right now? I mean, even if you think climate change is the issue, you’re not solving it tomorrow,” he continues. “You don’t need to dance on the graves of all the dead children today to make your political point.”

“But of course, they can’t do that,” he adds, before comparing how CNN’s Dana Bash handled the flooding in North Carolina under Biden versus the way she’s handling the flooding in Texas under Trump.

“The former president is falsely accusing federal relief agencies of maliciously withholding and misusing aid,” Bash said on CNN, playing a clip of Trump blasting Biden for giving North Carolina residents $750 while shelling out billions to foreign countries.

“What you just heard is not true. They’re rumors and they’re lies, and they are hurting the very people that thousands of FEMA emergency responders are trying to help,” she continued.

Now, after the Texas floods, Bash appears to be blaming National Weather Service cuts the Trump administration made, asking Rep. Joaquin Castro, “Do you have any indication whether those or other cuts helped play a role in the fact that the people in the flood zone were not prepared and certainly not evacuated?”

“The National Weather Service did warn about this,” Burguiere comments. “As we pointed out, when you make a warning and it’s the middle of the night and the whole thing develops between midnight and 4 a.m., it’s really, really hard to get enough people awake to avoid tragedy.”

According to NWS meteorologist Jason Runyen, most offices usually have two on staff when the weather is benign, and there were five on staff the night of the storm.

The NWS office also issued a flood watch for the area at 1:18 p.m. on Thursday, which was 15 hours in advance. While a flash flood warning was issued at 1:14 a.m., most residents were likely asleep.

Even a reporter on ABC News explained that “they were actually staffed extra because they knew it would be a big night.”

“Do I think that something happened from the weather service side that was related to that? No. I think that they were staffed fully. I think they did the best they could and put out the warnings in a pretty timely fashion,” the reporter said.

“There you go. I mean, it’s not just the conservatives saying that. If you actually find people who are honest in the media — and you had an example there — they will tell you that this had nothing to do with Trump's funding issues,” Burguiere adds.

The EXPLOSION of myocarditis: Dr. Peter McCullough’s bombshell vaccine testimony

In a Senate hearing this week about the safety of the COVID-19 vaccine, Dr. Peter McCullough detailed his experience as a cardiologist — and after the shots, it’s not a good one.

“The topic today is myocarditis or heart damage from the COVID-19 vaccines. I’m a cardiologist. I know the topic well. I’ve examined thousands of patients with this problem — thousands. Before the pandemic, I had two patients ever with this problem,” McCullough testified.

“There’s 1,065 papers in the peer-reviewed literature on COVID vaccine myocarditis, so let me summarize them for you,” McCullough continued. “The first author is Verma and colleagues. New England Journal of Medicine. Forty-two-year-old man comes into Washington University Hospital with vaccine myocarditis.”

“The infection is ruled out; it’s the vaccine. He’s in the hospital. This is one of the best hospitals in the United States. He died three days after taking Moderna. They can’t save him in the hospital,” he explains.

McCullough went on to tell of another, younger man who died within eight hours of being in the hospital after his COVID-19 shot.

“I can tell you, I’m a cardiologist — that doesn’t even happen with heart attacks. He dies within eight hours. I examined all of the slides,” he says, “It looked like somebody took a blowtorch to that heart, it was so completely fried with inflammation.”

“These cases, which were widely known at the time, should have gotten everyone’s attention. Everyone should have been laser-focused on this. We should never have someone die after taking a vaccine,” he added.

“Well, you’re not supposed to ask yourself, ‘What is going on?’” BlazeTV host Pat Gray comments on “Pat Gray Unleashed.”

“You’re not supposed to,” he adds.

Media Rushes To Use Biden Cancer To Bring Back Aging Cover Up

'I don’t want to hear anything else about Biden’s health coverup'

‘Stop discriminating against students’: Obliterating wokeness one Ivy League showdown at a time

Former President Joe Biden made some seriously woke DEI policy changes that have left President Trump with quite the rainbow mess to clean up. And he must make his own lasting policy changes that will change American culture for the better.

“Nobody wants to discriminate on the basis of race,” Trump policy strategist May Mailman tells Matthew Peterson of “Blaze News Tonight,” adding, “How can you change the Overton window and change the culture in order to cement some of these things in?”

While these Biden-era woke policies are fighting to stay alive under Trump, the president has wasted no time making an example out of America's Ivy League institutions leading this fight.

“Harvard was issued a list of very reasonable demands, like stop discriminating against your students,” Mailman explains, noting that these policies encouraged anti-Semitism. “Anti-Semitism is a symptom. It shows that there’s a problem, but it is not itself the disease.”

“If you treat white people as hierarchically worse than other people, that will result in anti-Semitism. So the things that we’re asking them to do are actually what the Supreme Court has asked them to do, and Harvard decided to say, ‘Get lost,’” she continues.

However, Harvard has quickly learned that starting a fight with the federal government will not end well for them.

“The federal government gives you things. That’s all it does. It just gives you things,” Mailman says of the government’s relationship with universities.

“Ultimately, it’s going to be a very clear choice. Do the right thing, do well by your students, and continue to have access to research money and other benefits, or don’t,” she continues, adding, “You can’t discriminate against people, and you’re going to start seeing that more and more and more.”

The INCREDIBLE story of how Biden gave Trump the ‘gift’ of mass firings

Shockingly, every government official who has been fired by President Trump should blame Joe Biden — and former White House press secretary Sean Spicer knows from experience why that is.

“September 1, I get an email, of 2021, and it says, ‘Dear Mr. Spicer, thank you for your service on the U.S. Naval Academy Board of Visitors. By 6:00 tonight, please submit your resignation or you will be fired,’ and I thought, ‘Whoa,’” Spicer tells Glenn Beck on “The Glenn Beck Program.”

Spicer’s term was supposed to end 60 days later.

“I was like, ‘You couldn’t wait 60 days just to have it for free?’” Spicer says. “I obviously wasn’t going to get reappointed; Biden had his right to appoint his people, great. So it turns out, he fired everybody, myself from the Naval Academy board, Russ Vought from the Naval Academy board, and then a guy named H.R. McMaster from the West Point board.”

When Spicer refused to resign, Stephen Miller of America First came to him with the idea of suing the Biden administration.

Spicer explains that the plan was to “go to court and make Joe Biden argue that he has the absolute authority to fire anybody, and because we’re not going to win the case, they’ll rule against us.”

When the Biden administration won the suit, the media started calling Spicer out for losing the case.

“And I go, ‘Did I?’” He laughs.

“So Donald Trump gets elected,” he says. “Guess what? Spicer v. Biden has given President Trump the authority to fire anyone he wants.”
