The fall of the corporate press: A Thanksgiving reflection on the new media era

President-elect Donald Trump's overwhelming victory on November 5 appears to have marked the end of an era for the corporate press. And that is certainly something worthy of gratitude this Thanksgiving.

The outcome of the election revealed that the vast majority of voters were unswayed by the liberal media's relentless attacks against Trump and the Biden-Harris administration's persistent lawfare.

'We could all be fired a year from now.'

Instead, America largely rejected the barrage of propaganda and negative coverage directed toward the Republican nominee, including outlandish comparisons to Adolf Hitler and desperate warnings of fascism.

Even with the most prominent news networks behind it, the Democratic Party still failed in its mission to instill widespread fear among Americans about the prospect of a second Trump administration.

So while the lights may still be on — for now — at the once-powerful media giants, Trump's landslide victory undoubtedly marks the greatest decline in their influence to date. The election results even prompted Elon Musk, a now-Trump supporter who voted predominantly Democrat in the past, to declare to the public, "You are the media now."

Whether the reporters at the legacy media outlets will continue with their bogeyman narratives of Trump throughout his upcoming presidency remains to be seen. Though this scenario seems the most likely, at least for the moment, this holiday season provides a brief respite from the fearmongering as these wildly out-of-touch networks evaluate their missteps and strategize on how to bail out their collective sinking ship.

So far, fresh out of Trump's win, the reaction from the corporate press and far-left reporters has notably been varied, with some trying to regain favor with the American audience and others doubling down on their hatred for Trump.

Following the election results, Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, the owner of the Los Angeles Times, announced that he planned to replace the editorial board to realign with voter sentiment.

Jeff Bezos, the owner of the Washington Post, made a similar move, vowing to incorporate more conservative editorial writers. The Post's senior politics editor was reportedly informed that he would soon be removed from that position.

Both newspapers faced significant pushback from their respective newsroom staffers when the owners declined to endorse a presidential candidate during this election cycle.

Over at MSNBC, there appears to be even more internal turmoil. Elon Musk floated the idea of purchasing the network after Comcast announced that it plans to spin off several cable channels, including MSNBC, CNBC, and USA Network. The upcoming reorganization prompted anchor Rachel Maddow's contract to be renegotiated down by $5 million, and other staffers are reportedly concerned about job security.

Last week, MSNBC host Joe Scarborough said, "We could all be fired a year from now."

His co-host and wife, Mika Brzezinski, replied, "Or tomorrow."

Scarborough and Brzezinski's show, "Morning Joe," suffered a steep decline in viewership after the two liberal co-hosts announced they had met with Trump at Mar-a-Lago to reportedly "restart communications."

While the two anchors give the impression of attempting to bridge the divide, other left-wing hosts, such as Joy Reid and much of "The View" panel, have opted to double down on their loathing of Trump, attributing his election win to what they perceive as a cloud of racism and sexism obscuring the judgment of most American voters.

During a podcast episode last week, Joe Rogan commented on the deteriorating viewership of liberal media.

Rogan said, "I was just reading something about CNN's ratings and MSNBC's ratings post-election — they've crashed."

"All these left-wing kooks on YouTube are hemorrhaging subscribers. Where people go, 'You guys are out of touch, you're not accurate, you're delusional,'" he added. "And people are speaking with their subscriptions, and they're speaking with their purchasing of the Washington Post and their purchasing of the New York Times."

This Thanksgiving, let us celebrate the nation seeing through the veil of misleading and biased reporting, inspiring hope among Americans that we might return to the values upon which our country was founded. And let us give thanks for what we stand to gain: a more independent media landscape that is held accountable to the people.

'What a farce': Gov. DeSantis slams California's ongoing vote counting weeks after election

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis criticized California on Wednesday for its ongoing ballot counting weeks after the November 5 election.

DeSantis wrote in a post on X, "We are on the eve of Thanksgiving and California still hasn't finished counting votes. Post-election day ballot 'dumps' continue to net Democrat votes over two GOP incumbents."

'No one believes this isn't completely shady.'

He raised concerns that the ongoing ballot counting could reduce the Republican House majority to "a razor thin" margin of 220-215.

“What a farce,” DeSantis declared.

The Republican National Committee reported that it has already filed lawsuits against several states, including California, for counting mail-in ballots after Election Day.

RNC Chairman Michael Whatley called it "absurd." He noted that California allows ballots received a week after Election Day to be counted, adding that it has taken the state "almost a month to count them."

"Every vote in every state matters, and the RNC will work with our state parties and candidates to ensure Election Integrity across the country. It is clear that we need real election reforms to Protect the Vote in California," Whatley declared in a post on X.

He stated that the RNC and the California Republican Party "have been on the ground with attorneys and observers across the state throughout the process of voting, curing, and counting."

Fox News Digital reported that the RNC partnered with the National Republican Congressional Committee and Elon Musk's America PAC to launch a ballot-curing operation in California.

Gates McGavick, senior adviser to Whatley, told the news outlet, "The RNC, NRCC, and CAGOP's election integrity operation was on the ground in California before Election Day, on Election Day, and has continued working ever since November 5th. Our attorneys and trained volunteers are in place to ensure transparency throughout the election process."

The vast majority of voters in California opt to mail in their ballots, which has reportedly slowed down the tabulating process. During the 2022 election, nearly 90% of the votes cast were via mail-in ballots.

Due to California's prolonged ballot counting, several local races still have not been called, including House bids for the 13th and 45th Congressional Districts.

Former Acting Director of U.S. National Intelligence Richard Grenell commented on the sluggish vote counting.

Grenell wrote on X, "No one believes this isn't completely shady that California is still counting votes."

Rep. Mike Collins (R-Georgia) called on California to lose an electoral vote for every day it spends after Election Day counting the ballots.

Even Musk also commented on the state's slow progress, stating, "India counted 640 million votes in 1 day. California is still counting votes."

The California Secretary of State’s office stated earlier this month, “Counting every vote takes time, but at the CA Secretary of State’s office, we’re committed to ensuring every eligible vote is counted. Final results will be certified on December 13th. Thank you for your patience as we work to protect your voice in our democracy!”

Judge to consider tossing Trump's New York criminal charges

New York Judge Juan Merchan has once again decided to postpone sentencing in President-elect Donald Trump's Manhattan criminal case, in which he was found guilty on all 34 felony counts of falsifying business records.

On Friday, Merchan granted a request from Trump's attorney to file a motion to dismiss the case, further pushing back the potential sentencing date, originally slated for July.

Merchan will 'seriously entertain throwing the whole case out.'

Trump's lawyer, Todd Blanche, sent a letter to Merchan on Wednesday requesting to file a motion to dismiss the case.

Blanche called Trump's election win "a mandate that supersedes the political motivations of DANY's 'People,'" referring to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

"This case must be immediately dismissed," he demanded.

Blanche argued that the potential continuation of the case would be "uniquely destabilizing" for the country.

Earlier this week, Bragg agreed with the defense's request to stay the case but noted that he would oppose a motion to dismiss.

Merchan declared that the motion for dismissal and the prosecution's response are due in early December.

Steven Cheung, a spokesperson for Trump and the incoming White House communication director, told Fox News Digital that the judge's latest announcement marked a "decisive win" for the president-elect.

"In a decisive win for President Trump, the hoax Manhattan case is now fully stayed and sentencing is adjourned," Cheung told the news outlet. "President Trump won a landslide victory, as the American people have issued a mandate to return him to office and dispose of all remnants of the Witch Hunt cases."

"All of the sham lawfare attacks against President Trump are now destroyed, and we are focused on Making America Great Again," he declared.

In response to Merchan's agreement to consider Blanche's request for dismissal, Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk wrote on X, "The legal assault against President Trump is dying a slow, painful, and embarrassing death."

Senior judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano told Newsmax that Merchan's move indicated that he will "seriously entertain throwing the whole case out."

Napolitano explained that Merchan may toss the convictions based on two potential reasons: "Either because some of the evidence that he permitted the jury to hear was immunized by the [United States] Supreme Court after the case came down … or because Donald Trump is about to become president of the United States and he shouldn't have this interfering with his administration of the executive branch of the federal government."

He predicted that the courtroom "will be absolutely packed" when Merchan holds the oral argument for dismissal.

Napolitano noted that under New York State law, Trump is not convicted unless the sentencing is completed.

The other three criminal cases against Trump are also falling apart. Special counsel Jack Smith, who has led the two federal indictments against the president-elect, has requested the cancellation of related deadlines and is reportedly planning to wrap up his involvement and step down ahead of Inauguration Day. The Georgia case, a state-level indictment, remains on hold and likely far away from a trial date.

Bucks County citizens take day off work to destroy election officials in person

On Wednesday, the Bucks County commissioners' meeting was packed with citizens who were fed up with Democratic officials' alleged attempts to count illegal ballots in the recount of the Senate race between incumbent Bob Casey (D) and Dave McCormick (R).

Residents showed up en masse to torch Diane Ellis-Marseglia (D), commissioners chair, after she made comments last week essentially admitting that she planned to count undated and misdated mail ballots in direct defiance of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court's order.

'I have decided to file a criminal complaint against both of you.'

"People violate laws any time they want," Ellis-Marseglia stated. "So for me, if I violate this law it's because I want a court to pay attention. There's nothing more important than counting votes."

After the state's supreme court again ruled on Monday that such ballots cannot be counted, Ellis-Marseglia backtracked on her previous statement, claiming it was taken out of context.

She blamed a "misinterpretation of [an] inartfully worded statement on my part" and apologized to constituents for causing any "upset and confusion."

However, Ellis-Marseglia's brief apology was not enough for Bucks County residents, who showed up in droves on Wednesday to call her out for allegedly trying to break the law.

Before the public comment section began, Ellis-Marseglia offered another apology, at points seeming — or perhaps trying to seem — as though she was overcome with emotion and regret. Residents interrupted her with boos and jeers. At times, Ellis-Marseglia's attempt at a sincere tone appeared to briefly shift to frustration toward those in the crowd.

"Last Thursday, when I spoke at the meeting that you're all here about, the passion in my heart got the best of me, and I apologize again for that," she told residents.

Ellis-Marseglia claimed that many were unaware that she was referring to provisional ballots, not mail-in ballots.

"Even as I say this, I know it's confusing, and it's no surprise to me that these issues have gotten conflated," Ellis-Marseglia said.

"It was my poor choice of words," she admitted before immediately turning around and saying that her statement was "clipped."

"They were out of context," Ellis-Marseglia declared before shushing the crowd, who responded to her statement with sneers.

"I have literally been contacted by hundreds of people. And, I'm being honest with you, all of them involved horrible, horrible expletives," she claimed. "Many involved threats, not just on my life, but on the people who work in this county."

Ellis-Marseglia told residents that everybody says things "out of turn" and griped that she, as an elected official, is held to a "far higher standard than everybody else."

Someone in the crowd responded by calling on her to resign.

"When I inartfully spoke and used the word 'precedent' when I was talking about provisional ballots, I was referring to the United States Supreme Court and the precedent that has been lost on many issues, including Roe versus Wade," Ellis-Marseglia stated.

Many in the crowd scoffed. Ellis-Marseglia chuckled and smiled before pounding on her gavel to quiet the room.

She concluded her speech by stating she did not believe she could apologize anymore, adding that the meeting was her only opportunity to set the record straight.

The meeting then proceeded into public comments.

The first speaker revealed a bombshell announcement, stating that she planned to file a criminal complaint against Ellis-Marseglia and Vice Chair Robert Harvie Jr.

"Diane's actually right, though: The law doesn't matter anymore in this country because people like you violate it all the time, and all we the people do is sit here and complain," the resident said.

"I'm not going to take it anymore," she declared. "I have decided to file a criminal complaint against both of you for breaking the following laws: Title 25, Section 3050; Title 25, Section 3501; Title 25, Section 3510; Title 25, Section 3527, 52 U.S.C. 103.08."

Several residents who approached the mic on Wednesday accused Ellis-Marseglia of rolling her eyes during the public's comments.

One citizen stepped up to the lectern and told Ellis-Marseglia that she found it difficult to believe her apology based on her previous comments and actions.

"You called all of us here 'extremists,' 'MAGA extremists,' 'white Christian nationalists,' all kinds of horrible names. The rolling of the eye — that is the real you," she said.

Conservative activist Scott Presler also spoke at the meeting.

"I have a message: Peacefully, peacefully, we are coming for your seat in 2027 if you don't resign today," Presler said.

Ellis-Marseglia, who repeatedly stated throughout the meeting that she would not respond during the public comment section, replied to Presler, saying, "Have at it."

"I want you to know that I am going to spend all of my time in Bucks County for the next three years making sure we take back this county," Presler added.

Numerous attendees demanded the resignation of the commissioners, and several advocated for their criminal prosecution.

Ellis-Marseglia, Harvie, and Bucks County District Attorney Jennifer Schorn did not respond to a request for comment from Blaze News.

$1.5 billion in 15 weeks: Kamala Harris’ INSANE campaign spending exposed

Kamala Harris’ campaign took a nosedive toward the end, and upon closer look, her wasteful spending may have played a major role — as the vice president reportedly burned through $1.5 billion within just 15 weeks.

“She was able to spend $1.5 billion in 15 weeks with no assets. Really impressive,” Stu Burguiere of “Stu Does America” comments.

“Her cash-rich campaign spared no expense as it hunted for voters — paying for an avalanche of advertising, social-media influencers, a for-hire door-knocking operation, thousands of staff, pricey rallies, a splashy Oprah town hall, celebrity concerts, and even drone shows,” Shane Goldmacher wrote in an article for the New York Times, adding, “It was a spree that averaged roughly $100 million per week.”

The Harris campaign’s biggest expense was advertising, spending most of a whopping $600 million on producing and buying media. $2.5 million was directed toward three digital agencies that specialize in working with online influencers.

Harris’ Oprah town hall cost the campaign close to $2.5 million as well, which Oprah attempted to explain away through the cost of setup.

“Oprah does have a bit of an argument here. First of all, she wasn’t just taking in a million dollars herself, it was going to this production company, and these events do cost a lot of money,” Stu says. “You could say, ‘OK, well, shouldn’t she just give that to her for free if she supported Kamala so much?’”

“You’d think so, but because of what Democrats want from campaign finance reform, there are campaign finance laws that say you can’t basically donate a bunch of free stuff and say that’s not a donation,” he continues.

However, there is one problem.

“In their own attempt at a defense here, they seemingly reveal a crime though because they say the $1,000,000 undercounts the cost of the event, the full cost, which ran closer to $2,500,000,” he explains. “So if in the bookkeeping they say it’s a million dollars but it actually costs $2,500,000, and Oprah ate the $1,500,000, that’s actually campaign finance violation. It’s a crime.”

“So in their attempt to try to win the press war, they may have actually committed a crime,” he adds.

Latest on Trump's cases: Where do the president-elect's legal challenges stand?

Donald Trump's presidential victory earlier this month has thrown the trajectory of his legal challenges into question.

On Tuesday, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) asked for the New York criminal case against Trump to be put on hold during his presidency.

'A total and definitive victory for President Trump and the American people.'

While Trump's legal team sought to dismiss the case outright, Bragg opted instead to freeze it. Bragg's move may suggest that he hopes to revisit the case after Trump is no longer in office.

Prosecutors from Bragg's office wrote to Judge Juan Merchan, "The people deeply respect the office of the president, are mindful of the demands and obligations of the presidency, and acknowledge that defendant's inauguration will raise unprecedented legal questions."

"We also deeply respect the fundamental role of the jury in our constitutional system," prosecutors added.

Trump, who was found guilty on 34 felony charges of falsifying business records, was slated to face sentencing on November 26. With Merchan's approval of Bragg's freeze request, that date will be pushed back indefinitely.

Steven Cheung, a spokesperson for Trump, celebrated the pause and called it "a total and definitive victory for President Trump and the American people."

He told the New York Times, "The lawless case is now stayed, and President Trump's legal team is moving to get it dismissed once and for all."

The other state-level case lodged against Trump — this one in Georgia — also appears to be on hold.

On Monday evening, the state appeals court abruptly canceled a December 5 pretrial hearing to determine whether Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis should be disqualified from the case after it was discovered she was having an affair with special prosecutor Nathan Wade, who has since stepped down.

The court did not provide a reason for the decision but noted that the hearing was tossed "until further order of this court."

Defense attorney Ashleigh Merchant, who brought the motion to recuse Willis, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the unexpected cancellation is "not something you normally see."

"They could reschedule it," Merchant said. "It could mean they don't need to hear oral arguments and can decide it on the merits."

Townhall columnist Phil Holloway concurred with Merchant's assessment, predicting that the court "might" be prepared to rule without hearing oral arguments.

"If so, that likely means bad news for Willis," Holloway stated.

The two federal cases against Trump, led by special counsel Jack Smith, also seem to be nearing their conclusions. Sources told the Times that Smith intends to wrap up his involvement with the cases and step down before Trump's inauguration, Blaze News previously reported.

For the Washington, D.C., federal case alleging that Trump attempted to overturn the 2020 presidential election, Smith has requested the cancellation of all related deadlines.

In the Florida case in which Trump was charged with improperly handling classified documents, Judge Aileen Cannon of the Southern District of Florida had already dismissed the charges. While Smith initially sought to appeal the dismissal, he moved to put that appeal on hold last week.

The Department of Justice has a long-standing policy not to prosecute a sitting president, claiming that it "would impermissibly undermine the capacity of the executive branch to perform its constitutionally assigned functions," according to its website.

Trump picks RFK Jr. for HHS — that sound you hear is the swamp screaming

President-elect Donald Trump is already making good on his promise to "Make America Healthy Again" — starting with appointing RFK Jr. to lead the Department of Health and Human Services.

And conservatives everywhere couldn’t be happier.

“The gig is up,” Kevin Roberts, author and president of the Heritage Foundation and Heritage Action tells Jill Savage and Matthew Peterson of “Blaze News Tonight.”

“The K Street-dominated, ridiculous policy that inverts the way America should work is coming to an end. It inverts it in this way, it prioritizes the interest of Washington and New York elites ahead of ordinary Americans.”

“If Trump and Vance’s victory means anything, it means that we’re restoring what this country is supposed to be about, which is that this is a place where ordinary Americans, regardless of where you’re from, where your people came from, run this country,” he adds.

“That’s why it’s a beautiful time to be alive,” Peterson agrees.

While Trump’s appointments are a great sign of things to come, Roberts says this is only the first phase.

“The second phase, in a lot of ways, it’s more important than Washington,” he says, explaining that we have to “revitalize federalism.”

“If in fact we want to devolve power from Washington back to the states, we have to make Washington a lot less important in our lives, and one of the ways we do that is to make sure that states have appropriate power and authority in a complimentary way with Washington,” he says.

But how do American citizens contribute to this change?

“The single, most important thing individuals can do at home is to pay attention to their families, to the relationships they have, and to be present in meetings of their county commission, of their county executive, of their school boards. In other words, federal politics, national politics, as important as they’ve been to us this year, are the least important when compared to what we do in our daily lives,” he says.

NYC Mayor Adams slams Dems for focusing more on Hitler, fascism rhetoric over 'working-class people issues'

New York City Mayor Eric Adams slammed his fellow Democrats for focusing too much of their campaign messaging on fascism fears rather than speaking to "working-class people issues."

In a Friday appearance on ABC News' "The View," Adams told the left-leaning panel that the Democratic Party lost the election because it failed to prioritize addressing issues that impact everyday Americans.

'What are we doing for everyday people in the country?'

"What you saw in this city and this election, when you saw a shift in the city and the state becoming redder, is because we stopped talking about working-class people issues," Adams stated. "What moms and pops are afraid, 'I can't pay my college tuition. The rent is too damn high. Health care is too expensive.' We stopped talking to everyday New Yorkers and Americans."

Adams explained that working-class Americans are far more concerned about affordability than fascism. He seemed to criticize Democrats for campaigning on comparing President-elect Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler.

"When I'm in the street talking to them, they're not asking me, 'Tell me about fascism,'" Adams claimed. "They're talking about finance. They're not talking about Hitler; they're talking about housing. We need to talk to everyday, working-class people, and we stopped doing that."

Co-host Joy Behar pushed back on Adams' comments, arguing that Democrats did address those issues.

"Part of the business of campaigning is getting your message out and being clear with your message," Adams replied. "Even the experts in their party were saying, 'Get back to the message.' What are we doing for everyday people in the country? And this same thing happened in 2022. When I got elected in 2022, I stated that, 'Listen, we need to be talking about crime in this country.' They ignored it. We lost the election. During 2023, I said we had to deal with this migrant-asylum issue. It was on the top one or two issues in the country. We ignored it. We have to go back and talk to those issues that people are worried about."

Since April 2022, more than 210,000 foreign nationals have arrived in New York City. The city's taxpayers have spent over $2.3 billion to provide accommodations for the migrants.

Adams announced last week that the city will stop supplying migrant arrivals with prepaid debit cards at the end of the year, Blaze News previously reported.

ABC News in ‘panic mode’ to balance ‘The View’ after anti-Trump panel misses voter sentiment: Report

ABC News is reportedly in "panic mode" trying to find more conservative voices to balance "The View" after the show's entire panel threw their support behind Vice President Kamala Harris' failed presidential bid.

Sources told the New York Post that the network is scrambling to rectify the voter disconnect on the talk show. According to the unidentified sources, ABC News has been hosting "intense," "high-level meetings" since last week.

'The current panel is clearly resonating with audiences given that the series just had its highest rated episode in more than a decade.'

Reportedly, the first order of business for the network's executives is to find a panelist to join the show who is a supporter of President-elect Donald Trump. Even the show's two current so-called Republican co-hosts, Ana Navarro and Alyssa Farah Griffin, have repeatedly bashed Trump and his policies.

A source told the Post that the show is "facing pressure from higher-ups."

"Viewers can expect some major changes including bringing in new panelists that can bring in a pro-Trump perspective," the source continued. "Everyone on 'The View' endorsed Kamala Harris. They lost. They are out of touch with America."

"For a show about different perspectives, 'The View' doesn't seem to have any when it comes to Trump. ABC bosses don't want to alienate the pro-Trump demographic," the source added.

The source speculated that bringing on a pro-Trump host could cause a stir with the other panelists.

"The question is what will happen to the Whoopis and the Joys if they bring on a Trumpster?" the source questioned, referring to Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar.

Whether the network plans to replace any current hosts or simply add another panelist is unclear.

A second source told the Post, "We are trying to sort out how we cover the next 4 years when everyone inside ABC News is on one side."

An ABC spokesperson denied the sources' claims, stating that it is an "opinion-based show featuring a diverse panel of women with different points of view."

The spokesperson then remarked that the show had just seen its highest ratings, seemingly oblivious to the likely reason behind the surge in viewership. It is plausible that many Americans, especially those with conservative views who typically avoid the program, flocked to see the far-left panelists' dramatic reactions to Trump's landslide election win.

The ABC News spokesperson told the Post, "The current panel is clearly resonating with audiences given that the series just had its highest rated episode in more than a decade and hit a 4-year high in total viewers."

After Trump's win, Behar accused his supporters of being racist and misogynistic.

Co-host Sunny Hostin questioned what was "wrong" with the Americans who voted for him, blaming "uneducated white women" and "Latino men" for Harris' loss.

Meghan McCain, a former co-host on "The View," criticized her former colleagues for being out of touch with American voters.

"Respectfully, please stop sending me clips from The View," she told her followers on X. "It's a radical progressive insane asylum and that is why I left years ago."

In an earlier post, McCain wrote, "It is actual malfeasance on the part of ABC news that there isn't one single conservative woman on The View this morning who voted for Trump or simply isn't repulsed by his supporters to explain to America why he is still so popular."

Trump’s win brings new hope to Border Patrol and ICE, likely averting officer exodus

Donald Trump's presidential victory last week has instilled a much-needed sense of hope among border and immigration agents.

Customs and Border Protection and Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers told Fox News Digital that morale within the agencies has completely turned around since Trump won. They also applauded the president-elect's decision to name Tom Homan as the incoming "border czar," noting that he is widely respected among agents.

'There are a lot of agents that had originally said that they would retire if President Trump did not win. ...They're going to hold back on their retirement because they want to serve under this administration again.'

A Massachusetts ICE officer told the news outlet, "It's a total 180. Troops are finally feeling like the sun is coming out after a very long storm."

"People are fired up to have support," the ICE officer continued. "It's amazing because we all became so numb. I don't think we realized how bad until we finally have hope again. Everyone is so happy about Homan's return."

A New York ICE officer stated that morale within the law enforcement agency is "super high, especially with the Homan news, too."

An Arizona Border Patrol agent told Fox News Digital that they are now "ecstatic to go to work," adding that morale within the CBP is "even higher than the first time he [Trump] won."

A senior ICE official told the news outlet, "I feel that people know now they will get to do the work they signed up to do and that they want to do."

"They know they can get the bad guys now. Public safety threats, national security threats, gang members, here we come," the official said.

National Border Patrol Council President Paul Perez also confirmed the uptick in agents' enthusiasm, stating that "morale is through the roof."

"We've received hundreds of calls, texts, emails just saying how happy the agents are," Perez stated.

Just last month, several CBP agents warned about a potential staffing crisis in the event that Vice President Kamala Harris won the November presidential election, Blaze News previously reported. They told the New York Post that many officers would likely opt to retire, with one agent calling the last four years under the Biden-Harris administration's leadership "hell."

One Border Patrol officer told the Post, "Lots of guys who can retire will go. If Trump wins, they'll stay."

Perez explained that many of the agents who had planned to retire have decided to remain since Trump's win.

He said, "There are a lot of agents that had originally said that they would retire if President Trump did not win. And now those same agents are saying they're going to hold back on their retirement because they want to serve under this administration again, because they know exactly how it was during this first administration, and they know this one's going to be even better."

A Texas border agent repeated similar remarks to Fox News Digital, stating, "People who were going to retire are not and everyone is happy."

However, a California Border Patrol officer told the news outlet that agents are "hopeful but the give-ups are still trickling in."

"Nothing will change until Tom Homan takes the leash off us," the officer remarked.

Trump has vowed to "strengthen ICE" by "increas[ing] penalties for illegal entry and overstaying Visas, and reinstat[ing] 'Remain in Mexico' and other Policies that helped reduce Illegal Immigration by historic lows in President Trump's first term."
