Trump reveals which world leader called Biden 'mentally retarded'

The whole world was eagerly watching President Donald Trump brief reporters about key updates on the war in Iran Monday when he revealed which head of state called former President Joe Biden "mentally retarded."

During the high-stakes briefing, the president reaffirmed his Iran ultimatum and ripped into American allies for refraining from assisting the United States in the war. Trump criticized allies like Australia, Japan, and South Korea before going on a brief tangent about which world leader criticized Biden's mental acuity.

'I don't care about critics.'

"We have 45,000 soldiers in South Korea to protect us from Kim Jong Un, who I get along with very well, as you know," Trump said. "Do you notice, he's said very nice things about me."

"He used to call Joe Biden a mentally retarded person, OK? So don't tell me about your stuff," Trump said to a reporter who suggested critics are calling for him to be psychologically evaluated. "Joe Biden, he said, 'He's a mentally retarded person.' He was so nasty to Joe Biden. It was terrible."

Earlier in the briefing, a reporter pressed Trump about his Truth Social post on Easter Sunday calling the Iranians "crazy bastards" and signing off with, "Praise be to Allah."

"What is your response to critics who say that it is your mental health that should perhaps be examined as this war continues?" the reporter asked.

"I don't care about critics," Trump interrupted.

"I haven't heard that," Trump added. "But if that's the case, you're going to have to have more people like me."

'Ineffectual and Unprepared': Ex-Biden Aides Unleash on KJP Over Book Claiming Dems Betrayed President

Trump admin preps press room seating chart that might make legacy media unhappy

The Trump administration is reportedly planning a new seating chart in the White House's press briefing room that might result in legacy media outlets losing long-held spots.

On Sunday, Axios reported that the White House will take over the seating chart for the briefing room, a task currently managed by the White House Correspondents' Association. President Donald Trump's administration has been critical of the WHCA's involvement in selecting which outlets can access the president and his Cabinet.

'We want to balance disruption with responsibility.'

Shortly after taking office, the administration announced that it would open the briefing room to "new media voices," encouraging independent journalists, podcasters, and social media influencers to apply for a dedicated spot at the front of the room.

The unprecedented move to bypass the WHCA resulted in a flood of thousands of interested applicants.

The Trump administration also previously limited the pool of reporters who may join the president for smaller press events, including those held in the Oval Office and on Air Force One.

The administration's latest move to reorganize the seating chart of the briefing room further challenges the WHCA's long-term role.

A senior White House official told Axios that plans have been formalized for a "fundamental restructuring of the briefing room, based on metrics more reflective of how media is consumed today."

"The goal isn't merely favorable coverage," the official stated. "It's truly an honest look at consumption [of the outlets' coverage]. Influencers are important, but it's tough because they aren't [equipped to provide] consistent coverage. So the ability to cover the White House is part of the metrics."

The new layout will include reporters from television, print, and digital outlets. While corporate media outlets will continue to have access to the briefing room, the shake-up might see them booted from their seats in the front rows.

"We want to balance disruption with responsibility," the official told Axios.

The official also noted that a WHCA member privately mentioned the possibility of changing bylaws to allow the sitting White House press secretary to serve as the group's president.

The official called the idea "interesting" but stated that the administration is "skeptical the association's board could pull it off."

Neither the White House nor the WHCA responded to a request for comment from the New York Post.

A senior White House official confirmed the plans to implement a new seating chart to CNN.

Trump Is Right on the White House Correspondents' Association—and Speaker Johnson Should Follow Suit

It’s been a lousy week for the White House Correspondents' Association. President Donald Trump cut the organization off at the knees when he announced on Tuesday that the White House, not the WHCA, would select the members of the presidential press pool, the rotating group of reporters and photographers who cover the president in places like the Oval Office and Air Force One where space is tight. Cue the hysterics.

Trump Strips Power From Left-Leaning White House Correspondents' Association Led By 'Kamala Harris Expert'

The Trump administration on Tuesday stripped the White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA), whose leader repeated Kamala Harris campaign talking points while covering the 2024 election, of the power to determine which outlets can participate in the White House press pool. The association's leader, Eugene Daniels, Politico correspondent and soon-to-be MSNBC host, is known as a "Kamala Harris expert" who once asked the former vice president whether Donald Trump and J.D. Vance's campaign rhetoric stemmed from "irredeemable racism."

'Is this Russian disinformation?': Journalist reveals the extreme bias in the White House press room

Host Bianca de la Garza says that reporters in the White House press briefing room routinely try to coax the press secretary into supporting their politics with inflammatory language.

De la Garza explains that through countless hours of watching briefings and inside reporting on press room exchanges, White House reporters have been ruthless in their pursuit of driving specific narratives.

According to de la Garza, press room reporters are "savages" who have no shame in trying to push press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre in a direction that would help their story, even if there isn't evidence to support their claim.

"I remember one reporter asking the press secretary, 'Do you think this is Russian disinformation?' They were trying to help her and lead her into saying what they wanted," de la Garza told Blaze News in an exclusive interview.

"I was like, 'Didn't we go through this already?'"

Questions are often so egregious and so clearly biased, de la Garza says she sometimes wonders whether the reporters work for the government.

"These people never learn! I want to ask, 'Are you a plant for the Democrat Party?'" she laughed.

Despite labeling Jean-Pierre a "terrible press secretary," de la Garza notes that her job is difficult given the situation she is put in. She added that it would be "hard to go out there and do that job" for anyone who doesn't believe in the policies their administration is implementing.

When asked who she thought Donald Trump's next press secretary should be if he wins, de la Garza hesitated to throw out any names of her colleagues or favorite commentators due to how taxing and repetitive the role is.

"You can't be in the job and not love this country and love the people," the host said.

'I want smart people in office, I don't want career politicians.'

The experienced host also touched on the sheer number of politicians and media members she's seen flip sides over the years.

When asked how viewers can trust the reporting of people who are seemingly so firm in their position only to change depending on who is in office, de la Garza said not to put too much stock in those opinions.

"It's an act of self-preservation," she explained. "People go back and forth; it is interesting how some people will allow themselves to be used as pawns and come out and speak against the president after working for the administration."

She continued, "I don't take too much stock in that, because I think there were many people who used to be Democrats that have come out in support of [Trump]."

Overall, de la Garza claimed integrity is the most important role for both a good journalist and good politician.

"I want smart people in office, I don't want career politicians. ... I think we need more outsiders," she stressed

She added that while she "understands the game" being played, there's no excuse for lies and covering up any government wrongdoing.

De la Garza's book, "Incoming: On the Front Lines of the Left’s War on Truth," is available now.

Karine Jean-Pierre throws TEMPER TANTRUM over questions about Biden's health

The White House press corps is not happy with Karine Jean-Pierre — as she just can’t seem to stop repeating lies from the White House regarding the president’s health.

“I never answered the question incorrectly,” Jean-Pierre responded to a frustrated member of the press. “That is not true. I was asked about a medical exam, I was asked about a physical, that was in the line of questions that I answered.”

“And I said ‘No, he did not have a medical exam,’ and I still stand by that. Matter of fact, the president still stands by that. He had a verbal check-in, that is something that the president has a couple times a week,” Jean-Pierre continued.

When another reporter asked the name of the doctor with whom President Biden has weekly check-ins, Jean-Pierre got angrier.

“I am telling you right now that I am not sharing, confirming names from here. It is a security reason. I am not going to do that Ed, it doesn’t matter how hard you push me, it doesn’t matter how angry you get with me. I’m not going to confirm a name,” she said.

Pat Gray is confused as to why it’s a “security reason.”

“If she mentions the guy's name, if it’s Dr. Cannard, does that mean people are going to try to kill him? Is that what the security issue is? Are you endangering his life by saying, ‘Yeah, he treated the president?’ This is BS. Come on,” Gray says.

Jean-Pierre then went on to claim that it was for the doctor’s “privacy.”

“It is inappropriate, it is not acceptable,” she added.

“He’s the president’s doctor,” Gray laughs. “That just ruins your career.”

In another press briefing, Jean-Pierre appeared to be on the brink of tears.

“We literally do everything that we can, my team does, that we can, to make sure that we get the answers to you,” she said. “And sometimes we disagree, sometimes we are not in agreement. But you know what, that’s democracy.”

“And so to say that I’m holding information, or allude to anything else, is unfair, is really, really unfair,” she continued. “And I will admit, I will be the first one to admit, sometimes I get it wrong. At least I admit that.”

Then it got worse, as Jean-Pierre told reporters sometimes she doesn’t “have the information,” but again, at least she admits it.

When she was asked whether or not Biden would submit to a cognitive test, Jean-Pierre said more of absolutely nothing.

“Everything that he does day in and day out, as it relates to delivering for the American people, is a cognitive test.”
