Senator reveals what’s going on behind the scenes of the border crisis

Democrats love to cite a slew of humanitarian reasons to justify their open border policies, such as providing asylum for those fleeing poverty, war, and violence. But according to Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, “Immigration is about power politics” and “has nothing to do with the individuals” migrating here.

“If you talk to these people” and ask if they “care about the little kids coming across [or] what might happen to teenage girls coming across, they don't care about that. All they care about is votes; their whole goal is to take Texas,” Paul tells Dave Rubin.

Even the new border bill, which proposes allowing up to 5,000 migrants into the country per day (1.8 million per year) before any action is taken, is proof of this.

“After 1.8 million a year, the rules aren't very strong. They give the discretion to [Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas],” who just barely escaped impeachment yesterday, Paul explains.

“Meanwhile, the Biden campaign is cutting the razor wire and removing the cargo containers that are essentially a wall on the border,” so “we're going to negotiate with them and trust them to use new power when they're right now using their [current] power to disrupt the border wall?”

“I'm actually not against immigration; I'm actually for more lawful immigration,” Paul continues, “but they need to be these little narrow bills, but instead they say, ‘We'll increase employment- based or work-based visas but only if you give the 18 million people already here the right to vote.”

“I'm pretty open on this issue; I would give work permits even to those who came here illegally ... but I'm not giving them the right to vote.” He continues, “So, we've stayed at a standstill for the 12 years I've been here. No immigration changes have happened ... none of it happens because the Democrats say, ‘All or nothing.”’

“What do you think the Democrats’ intentions are?” asks Dave.

“All they care about is votes,” especially in Texas, Paul explains. “The only way they take Texas is to legalize a couple of million people here illegally and let them vote.”

THESE recently obtained Fauci emails may put him in JAIL

What should be done with Anthony Fauci?

Senator Rand Paul thinks jail time might be sufficient — but not likely.

“We referred him twice to the Department of Justice; we haven’t gotten a lot of action. We barely can even get a letter back saying they’ve received the referral,” the senator tells Dave Rubin.

However, the referral sent was a criminal referral for lying to Congress, which is a felony. Fauci could face up to five years in prison for that.

“I think he deserves that, but above and beyond that, he also deserves the culpability basically for funding the research that became the pandemic. And this is a big deal. This is no small mistake that he made,” Rand says.

“It may be one of the worst mistakes made in modern history.”

And why did that mistake happen?

“Because Dr. Fauci’s opinion is that, even if a pandemic were to occur, gain of function — this juicing up of viruses research — is worth it,” Rand says.

Rand doesn’t believe that the millions of Americans who died or whose family members died would agree that it was worth it.

“I think you’d find that most American families, and frankly, worldwide, would be upset, you know, that this actually came from government-funded projects at the behest of Anthony Fauci,” he says.

However, the American people might be more distrusting next time around, especially considering the recent release of damning emails from January 2020.

In these emails, Fauci’s tenor reflects that he’s concerned not only about the origin of the virus, but that the origins could “boomerang and come back” and that he would be exposed as the one who approved the funding that created it.

“We know, for one thing, Fauci allowed this research to happen in communist China without any review by the safety committee. That alone is malfeasance, and he should be punished for it as well,” Rand adds.

While the pile of evidence for Fauci’s betrayal of the American people is stacked astoundingly high, the mainstream media doesn’t seem to care — at all.

Rand is ultimately in disbelief, as there’s never “been a cover-up so thoroughly exposed and caught and delivered by their own emails,” and “yet not one person from the mainstream media has reported on this at all.”

Rand Paul: Fauci & the left's COVID narrative are IMPLODING as the pandemic drags on

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) joined BlazeTV host Dave Rubin on “The Rubin Report," to talk about his most recent feud with Dr. Anthony Fauci.

On Tuesday, Paul confronted Fauci once again — this time with emails that indicate he conspired to discredit scientists who disagreed with his opinions on COVID-19. In response, Fauci accused Paul of inspiring “the crazies out there” to make "threats upon my life, [and] harassment of my family and my children”.

Dave shared a video clip from the Senate hearing in which Paul says to Fauci:

I've always been pro vaccine. I'm just simply against authoritarianism and against mandates. The anger that's developed with you, Dr. Fauci, is that you don't want to give us advice, you want to tell us what to do. You think you are the science, and that anybody [who] responds to you [is asked] 'How dare you? How dare you criticize science?' as if you somehow are science.

That kind of arrogance, that hubris, is really, that's where the anger's coming towards you. If you were one doctor among hundreds of doctors in the government who gave advice ... people might object to your advice, but there wouldn't be such a degree of anger. But you are so certain that you're right, that you're not wiling to hear anyone else.

Three epidemiologists, of which you are not even an epidemiologist, but three epidemiologists, prominent in their field [from] Oxford, Stanford, and Harvard, you maligned them. You spoke openly with Dr. Collins and you did not disagree [to] paint them as fringe. You went after them and said we will do a public take down, not in Science or Nature or Lancet, but in Wired, in The Nation, a left-wing publication. You've engaged in base politics. You wonder why there's so much anger? You're not an objective scientist. You've lost that long ago. And so many of the things that people want, they want to know why you're forcing their children to be vaccinated when 95% of people at risk have been vaccinated. Over 95% of people over [age] 65. It's a huge, voluntary success. And yet you won't rest until you force every child to get this. So yes, there's a great deal of dissatisfaction with you and many people want you to go, but nobody wishes you violence.

Paul told Dave our nation has probably never had a government bureaucrat with so much power over all our lives, or so much disdain for individual liberty.

Dave noted a shift in the left's COVID narrative, such as many in the mainstream media admitting that the vaccine, masks, and lockdowns "don't quite work as promised" or inflated death counts from COVID-19. Paul agreed, saying he believes the Biden administration’s COVID narrative is collapsing in front of our eyes. From the CDC acknowledging that 75% of those who died from COVID had at least four comorbidities, to the Biden administration admitting there are more deaths from COVID-19 under Biden than under former President Trump, the current administration is realizing that they've got some explaining to do. And the best way to do that is to admit COVID is something "we're gonna have to live with," Paul said.
