Teens laugh and point after allegedly beating and butchering Wyoming boy who tried to protect his girlfriend

Robert Dean Maher Jr. of Casper, Wyoming, reportedly received a concerned call from his girlfriend Sunday indicating that a pair of teens were stalking her and her friend around the Eastridge Mall. The chivalrous 14-year-old made his way over to help but was savagely stabbed to death.

The Casper Police Department announced that they have arrested two teens in connection with Maher's slaying.

According to the Cowboy State Daily, the suspected killer is 15-year-old Jarreth Joseflee Sabstian Plunkett of Evansville. Plunkett now faces charges of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, aggravated assault and battery, and theft. He has been charged as an adult.

He apparently did not work alone. Dominique Harris of Casper, 15, was also arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, aggravated assault and battery, and theft.

In court, police referenced cellphone footage captured by a witness revealing the victim "clearly did not want to fight," reported the Oil City News. The victim's friend told police that upon finding the girls at the mall, he simply tried to escort them away to keep them safe.

Chief Deputy District Attorney Blaine Nelson indicated that upon learning that Maher had made it to the mall, the suspects stole knives from Target then went to confront their victim.

While Maher managed to make it outside the mall, the aggressors precluded him from getting much farther.

According to the affidavit, one of the accused murderers, wearing a balaclava at the time, told Maher "to swing on him several times; however, (Maher) clearly did not want to fight as he is seen moving in a continuous backwards motion away from Jarreth."

"However, due to numerous other juveniles gathering around, it appeared as if he was unable to get back inside the mall," continued the affidavit.

Casper Police noted that other individuals potentially involved in the case "have been identified and questioned by law enforcement, and further action may be forthcoming."

When Plunkett allegedly brandished the large kitchen knife, Oil City News indicated Maher said, "Put the knife away, this isn't fair."

Plunkett allegedly responded, "I don't play fair."

In video of the slaying, Harris can allegedly be seen grabbing Maher by the waist and slamming him into the ground near the Hibachi Supreme Buffet in the mall. Plunkett then allegedly stabbed Maher twice in the chest with a "kitchen-style knife" while Harris punched the boy in the face.

After the attack, camera footage showed the victim grip his bloody abdomen, stagger through the mall's exterior doorway, then collapse, reported KGWN-TV. A third suspect apparently kicked Maher after his stabbing.

"They were seen laughing and pointing as they ran through the parking lot while witnesses attempted first aid," said Nelson.

Wyoming is a death penalty state.

CPD Sgt. Michael Paschke swiftly responded to the scene and took over for the adults administering CPR. The boy later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

CPD Lt. Scott Jones said, "An unfortunate thing where a young man was assaulted and died of his wounds. We feel for the family, friends, classmates of that student. Just a tragedy regardless. A tragedy because we have other juveniles involved whether suspects or bystanders," reported the Casper Star Tribune.

"In my time in law enforcement, this doesn't happen," continued Jones. "We've been seeing an increase in frequency and severity [of youth crime] over the last several years. Just an unfortunate trend of our times."

It appears this was not a random attack.

Investigators indicated that Plunkett allegedly told Harris that he was going to "gut that dude" three days earlier. The victim and both suspects attended Dean Morgan Junior High together.

Ashlyn Benbo, an apparent friend of the victim's family, noted in a GoFundMe campaign that has raised over $40,000 for his funeral expenses that Maher "left behind his dad Robert, his mom Mary and his 3 brothers."

Yet another de-transitioner comes forward, suing doctors who she claims cut her up at 16 after two appointments and a single consultation: They 'affirmed that chaos into reality'

A Nebraska woman who underwent a sex-change surgery at the age of 16 is suing the medical practitioners who cut off her breasts, left her in a constant state of pain, and likely rendered her infertile.

Luka Hein's complaint, filed Wednesday in the District Court of Douglas County, Nebraska, accuses University of Nebraska Medical Center and UNMC medical practitioners Dr. Jean Amoura, Dr. Perry Johnson, Dr. Stephan Barrientos, and therapist Megan Smith-Sallan of malpractice, alleging their "misleading descriptions and false claims" pertaining to sex-change mutilations were in violation of the state's Consumer Protection Act.

The lawsuit contends that Hein, put "on the fast track" for mastectomies at 15 years of age, ultimately had her breasts removed "when she was not old enough to understand the ramifications thereof or consent thereto" and after her "parents had been manipulated into consenting."

Prior to her delusion-affirming treatments, Luka was reportedly having suicidal thoughts and harming herself. To further compound her anxiety and confusion, Luka indicated her parents were getting a divorce and she had been "groomed online and preyed upon by an older man out of state."

According to Hein's complaint, inside an hour into her first therapy session at the UNMC Gender Clinic, her therapist "diagnosed Luka with gender identity disorder and began steering her toward transgender medical treatment with Defendant Amoura at the gender clinic."

The suit blasts UNMC and those who savaged Hein's body not only for "using surgical means to treat a mental health disorder" but for failing to "wait and see if Luka's gender dysphoria would resolve with time"; "to develop a different diagnosis"; "to warn Luka that the mental health of patients does not improve with surgery"; "to obtain a proper pre-operative mental health evaluation"; and/or "question Luka's self-diagnosis of trans-identification before amputating her breasts."

Harmeet Dhillon, the founder and CEO of the Center for American Liberty, is representing Hein in the case. Dhillon has previously represented other victims of gender ideology, including de-transitioner Chloe Cole.

Dhillon told the Daily Mail, "Coercive methods were used to coerce the family into agreeing to it, such as a false representation about the mental health fallout from not doing it. 'Your daughter will commit suicide if you don't agree to this,' was communicated to her parents."

"Doctors should not behave to vulnerable children or families in this manner, period. Doctors should not be mutilating and permanently disfiguring children, period, without some medical necessity, which did not present itself in this case," added Dhillon.

The Center for American Liberty noted, "No child should have to go through the irreversible trauma that UNMC doctors put Luka through. And if she wins her lawsuit, perhaps no child will."

Hein, originally from Minnesota, told the Daily Mail, "I was going through the darkest and most chaotic time in my life, and instead of being given the help I needed, these doctors affirmed that chaos into reality."

"I don't think kids can ever consent to having essentially full bodily functions taken away at a young age before they even know what that means," continued Hein, who is also bringing a $2,250,000 tort claim against the Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska. "I was talked into medical intervention that I could not fully understand the long-term impacts and consequences of."

Besides the scars on her chest, the suit notes that the testosterone treatments Hein was subjected to over the course of four years "caused the disruption of her endocrine system, heart damage, deepening of her voice, pain in her vocal cords, joints, lumbar spine, hands, wrists, elbows, and pelvic area, as well as permanent dysregulation of her reproductive organs."

Hein is one of a growing number of victims to take legal action against the medical professionals and institutions who hacked away various parts of their bodies to remedy feelings of body dysphoria.

TheBlaze reported in March that Layla Jane took action against the Kaiser Permanente hospital system, which began giving her puberty blockers at the age of 12 and amputated her healthy breasts the next year.

Chloe Cole filed a suit against the Permanente Medical Group, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, and Kaiser Foundation Hospitals who performed, supervised, and/or advised transgender hormone therapy and surgical intervention on her between the ages of 13 and 16.

Teens arrested after eating town's prized swan and kidnapping its babies from protected pond: Police

A trio of teens in upstate New York devoured a town's beloved mother swan and stole its four-week-old babies on Memorial Day, according to police.

The town of Manlius' swan pond has been a safe haven for the elegant creatures since 1905. It is a place where townspeople have long fed and cared for the birds, including the late swan mother named Faye, owned by the village.

The Associated Press indicated that the swans' significance is evidenced by their inclusion in insignia on the town's website as well as in is identity.

Manlius Mayor Paul Whorrall said, "The swans have been a part of this village for well over 100 years. ... We’re known for our swans."

Manlius police Sgt. Ken Hatter noted, "The Village of Manlius is one of the only entities in New York that has a permit to have them housed, maintained, owned, and transport[ed], and they cannot be removed from their location legally."

Eighteen-year-old Eman Hussan and two other teens, ages 16 and 17, climbed the metal fence hemming in the pond and stole inside the preserve on Monday, sometime between midnight and 3 a.m., reported CNY Central.

The teens later claimed that they were "hunting," though poaching swans is illegal in the state.

The trio allegedly ambushed Faye as the swan was nesting, held it down, and savaged it. It died with neither a fight nor a song.

Police indicated that after widowing Faye's mate, Manny, the teens took the dead mother swan back to one of their residences along with its four cygnets.

Hatter said, "They brought it back to an aunt’s house and the aunt prepared it."

"The mother swan was consumed. ... Sad to say, but that's what they did," said Whorrall.

The Town of Manlius Police Department announced Tuesday that the four stole cygnets were found and placed in the care of the biologist tasked with ensuring the health and well-being of the swans for the village.

Two of the cygnets had been found along with two of the suspects at the Black Friday Bins, a store at the Shop City Plaza in the Town of Salina, where one of the teens was employed. The other two cygnets were located at a residence in Syracuse.

According to CNY Central, three of the suspects were charged with grand larceny in the third degree, a class D felony, conspiracy in the fifth degree, and criminal trespass in the third degree.

While the teens had jumped a fence to get into a protected swan pond known for its protected swans, Hatter said, "They did not know that it was a swan, and they did not know that it was not a wild animal, that it was actually owned by the Village of Manlius," reported the New York Post.

Whorrall noted that the swans have "been ours forever. And we will continue. The public needs to know that this is not ending. We will continue to have swans and hopefully, at some point get back to normal."
