RUSSIAGATE 2.0? Dems use delay to launch smear campaign against Kash Patel

When the Senate agreed to delay the vote on Kash Patel per Democrats’ request, Jill Savage and Matthew Peterson of “Blaze News Tonight” warned us that the extra time would be used to launch a smear campaign against President Trump’s nominee for FBI director.

And that’s exactly what happened.

“Now we get a report from the Washington Post that claims that Patel was paid $25,000 by a Russian filmmaker with ties to the Kremlin,” says Jill.

Guest J. Michael Waller, senior analyst for strategy at the Center for Security Policy, breaks down what’s going on.

According to Waller, “all these crack journalists at the Washington Post” found was information that was “already disclosed to the Senate Judiciary Committee and to the Justice Department Ethics.”

Making it a “big scandal” is as “typical” as an “October surprise before an election,” he says.

“It's okay if the Russians give $80 million to the Clintons, right? That's fine, but we're going to talk about a $25,000 thing for a little TV series?” adds Peterson.

While Waller knows that the vote will be close, this “breaking” news about Kash Patel isn’t likely to sway the vote, given that it’s actually not breaking at all.

“The fact is this information was already raised. … Concerns were either handled in person with the senators or during Kash's hearings,” he reiterates.

Further, the “Russian” filmmaker Patel was involved with has a much more complicated background than the media is portraying.

“He's a Ukrainian citizen who's a dual national of Russia who became a naturalized American, so he's an American of Russian and Ukrainian background and citizenship,” but, of course, “this is not really revealed in the headlines that we're reading,” says Waller.

Mark Levin EXPOSES how Democrats involved Pete Hegseth’s ex-sister-in-law in failed smear campaign

Democrats are known for orchestrating smear campaigns against candidates they don’t like — that is, candidates who aren't going to further their agenda. And they aren’t above employing any means necessary to drag someone’s name and reputation through the mud, even if it means outright lying.

Their thankfully failed attack on Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is one of the most recent examples of how the left will coordinate with political operatives, the media, and even disgruntled family members to sabotage someone’s nomination.

Mark Levin exposes exactly how Democrats nearly succeeded in kneecapping America’s new secretary of defense.

Like most smear campaigns, the one launched against Pete Hegseth was multifaceted. First, they said he wasn’t qualified to do his job; then they dredged up old allegations of sexual assault, which were investigated and dismissed years ago; in the next phase, they obtained anonymous signatures from several of Hegseth’s former colleagues alleging that he was a drunk.

When none of that was sufficient to thwart his nomination, Sen. Jack Reed (D-R.I.) sent a letter to Danielle Hegseth, Pete’s ex-sister-in-law, inquiring about any instances of aggression or violence. She then signed an affidavit alleging that Hegseth was aggressive and that Samantha, his ex-wife, was often fearful for her safety.

This is easily debunked, says Levin.

First, when Samantha was contacted about this affidavit from Danielle, she denied the claims and assured that Hegseth had never been physically abusive toward her. Further, in their divorce paperwork, both Pete and Samantha signed paperwork that neither of them were victims of domestic abuse.

The nail in the coffin of this ridiculous smear, says Levin, is that Pete and Samantha share joint custody of their three children.

“A judge or magistrate ... is not going to give joint custody of children if one of the parents is violent or abusive or threatens violence. In this case, they have joint custody because they sought joint custody,” he explains.

“[Democrats] are desperate to destroy what's left of the relationship between the ex-wife and Pete, and they're going to destroy the future of these three kids by continuing to pursue this, and they don't care because Schumer is the evil force behind this,” he continues.

The fact that Hegseth’s ex-sister-in-law was involved at all is evidence that this was “a complete setup.”

Hegseth’s Confirmation Is Another Humiliating Defeat For America’s Propaganda Press

Hegseth's confirmation marks an embarrassing loss for the despicable media hacktivists who tried so desperately to sink his nomination.

‘This Isn’t Journalism’: GOP Sen. Bill Hagerty Blasts Propaganda Media’s Smear Campaign Against Pete Hegseth

While speaking on the Senate floor on Thursday, Sen. Bill Hagerty, R-Tenn., offered a scathing takedown of the propaganda media’s disgusting attempts to tank Pete Hegseth’s defense secretary nomination. “Despite Pete’s qualifications, the mainstream media, desperate to derail President Trump and his nominees, has gone after Pete’s character by airing false and unsubstantiated claims,” Hagerty […]

CNN’s Last-Minute Hit Piece Against Pete Hegseth Is A Giant Nothingburger

'There's nothing new here,' Hegseth's lawyer Tim Parlatore told The Federalist.

NBC’s Latest Hit Piece Against Pete Hegseth Is Even Dumber Than You Think

NBC News dropped a last-minute hit piece aimed at tanking Pete Hegseth’s defense secretary nomination on Tuesday — and it’s even dumber and more vapid than you’d expect. In their pathetic excuse for “journalism,” authors Julie Tsirkin, Sarah Fitzpatrick, and Courtney Kube detail an affidavit that senators reportedly received on Tuesday from Danielle Hegseth, Pete’s […]

Megyn Kelly asks Pete Hegseth if he’s being 'Kavanaughed,' and his response proves how much we need him

It’s no coincidence that every time Donald Trump taps another person for his administration, a list of allegations against that person soon follows.

Pete Hegseth, Trump’s DOD nominee, is currently battling a storm of smears ranging from old sexual assault allegations that were deemed false to an alleged drinking problem corroborated by 10 anonymous witnesses.

Conservative talk show host Megyn Kelly recently sat down with Hegseth to discuss the smears brought against him since his nomination.

Dave Rubin plays a clip of their conversation.

“Do you think you’re being Kavanaughed right now?” Kelly asked.

“I had a member not 45 minutes ago look me in the eye in private, just he and I, and say, ‘That's what they're trying to do to you. ... That's their playbook. Get ready for more, and they're going to make it up, just like they have so far — all anonymous, all innuendo, all rumor, nothing sourced, no verification, and they're just going to keep doing it because you're a threat to them,”’ Hegseth recounted.

He told Kelly that he knows that this is all true. He is being Kavanaughed because he’s “a threat to [the swamp’s] system.”

However, he plans to do exactly what Brett Kavanaugh did — fight back.

“Kavanaugh stood up, and he fought, and he won,” said Hegseth. “What you’re seeing right now with me is the art of the smear.”

Dave respects Hegseth’s determination to fight the system that’s attempting to destroy him.

“If we've learned anything in the last decade, it’s don't give into the lies,” he says, pointing to Jordan Peterson’s advice — “Don’t apologize unless you’ve done something wrong.”

“There is no evidence that Pete Hegseth has done anything wrong,” he says.

“You can just see it so clearly — he gets it! That's the beautiful thing that has shifted in culture. So many of us get it” and have determined that “we will not partake in the lie anymore. We will not let you take out good people,” says Dave.

West Point Refuses To Say If Officials Who Spread False Info About Pete Hegseth’s Academy Record Will Be Punished

Ridiculous smear campaign against Pete Hegseth has a part 2. Now he’s a DRUNK?!

Isn’t it interesting that nearly every person Trump taps to serve in his administration has suddenly come under fire for a long list of allegations? The ones surrounding Matt Gaetz were enough for him to withdraw.

And now DOD nominee Pete Hegseth is the target of another leftist smear campaign aimed at painting him as a sexual predator.

“All the headlines were ‘Pete Hegseth accused of sexual assault in 2017,’ and then you go through an article of a million words and only at the very bottom do you see, ‘Oh actually, he was cleared of all these assault allegations,”’ says Sara, pointing out the obvious attempt to damage his reputation.

But dragging his name through the mud was only part one of the act. As it turns out, there’s a part two to this smear campaign.

“NBC has now unleashed a new rumor about Pete Hegseth,” says Sara, playing a clip of the news segment during which the outlet reported that current and former Fox News employees have expressed concerns over Hegseth’s drinking.

According to the NBC segment, these employees said that “he drank in ways that concerned them.” Two employees reported that “on more than a dozen occasions, they smelled alcohol on him.”

“His drinking should be disqualifying,” one former employee said.

Sara is infuriated but not surprised.

“It’s always these anonymous cowards,” she criticizes.

She then points out that “a number of prominent people who have worked with Pete Hegseth” — all of whom have identified themselves — “have all come out in support of him, completely discrediting NBC’s allegations.”

It’s clear that the allegations against Pete Hegseth are nothing more than an “egregious, malicious smear,” says Sara.

To hear more about the story, including the New York Times hit piece that attempted to pit Hegseth against his own mother, watch the episode above.

The Drive-By Smears Of Clarence Thomas Never End

Innuendo masquerading as reporting is the point. Its purposeful implication is that Clarence Thomas can be bought.
