Comedian trolls Nancy Pelosi on being 'greatest options trader of all time,' gets physically thrown out of book signing

A conservative comedian was escorted away from former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) after heckling her over her family's much-talked-about stock market trading record.

Comedian Alex Strenger was physically ushered away from Pelosi after playfully mocking the Democrat leader over her husband's outstanding record of trading stocks. The comedian called Pelosi “the greatest options trader of all time.”

'I just want to know; she makes six figures a year in Congress and has a hundred-million-dollar net worth.'

Strenger disguised himself as a liberal to infiltrate Pelosi's book signing at the Texas Tribune Festival in Austin on Saturday.

The comedian approached Pelosi while wearing a "White Dudes for Kamala" shirt, a Bernie Sanders hat, and a face mask.

Strenger introduced himself to Pelosi, "Hi, my name is Noah. I use he/they pronouns."

"I appreciate your, like, fierce, staunch defending of democracy," he said. "It really means so, so much, you know?"

"And, you know, like, honestly, like, I’m really scared about, you know, Donald Trump winning the election," the comedian continued. "And honestly, with all the disinformation on X, like, you know, I honestly, the only chance, like, that we have is for Donald Trump to spend the rest of his life in prison. That’s the only hope for democracy."

Pelosi replied, "We just have to win the election."

A security guard then intervened to shut down the exchange by putting her hands on Strenger and physically removing him by shoving him.

As he was being pushed away, Strenger asked Pelosi, “Well, Nancy, listen. Well, sure. Last question. What stocks should I buy? Nancy, you’re the greatest options trader of all time. I just want to know what stocks I should buy. What, I just want to know, like, what’s your biggest concern?”

Strenger trolled the liberals in the room by pointing out that there was security at the event and how it went against the progressive defund-the-police movement.

“The police are an instrumental institution of white supremacy and racism," the comedian sarcastically quipped. "I don’t understand why they are even here at all. They should be defunded.”

As he was being escorted out, Strenger shouted: “I just want to know; she makes six figures a year in Congress and has a hundred-million-dollar net worth. Don’t y’all want to know what stocks she should buy? Come on. I just want to know. I just want to know what stocks to buy. I want to close the wealth gap. What’s the problem? I just want to close the wealth gap.”

Pelosi was paid $223,500 annually as speaker of the House and now makes a $174,000 salary as a member of Congress.

Pelosi and her husband have a combined net worth of nearly $245 million based on the price movement of stocks in her portfolio as calculated by alternative stock data platform Quiver Quantitative.

Strenger posted the video on the X social media platform with the caption: "Assaulted by @SpeakerPelosi’s Security Detail when all I wanted was stock advice."

At the time of publication, the video had been viewed over 268,000 times.

Strenger noted that Blaze Media personality Alex Stein — host of "Prime Time with Alex Stein" — has "mentored me, provided me with guidance, shared my posts, invited me on his show, and more."

He added, "Comedy will save the world from tyranny, and we need to mock these globalists into obscurity."

Pelosi has drawn scrutiny over her husband's exceptional track record of trading stocks. Paul Pelosi, a founder of a real estate and venture capitalist firm, has a history of making remunerative investments that critics see as conflicts of interest given Nancy's access to inside information due to her high-ranking position in the government.

In March 2021, Pelosi bought $10 million in shares of Microsoft just 12 days before it was announced that the technology company secured a government contract worth nearly $22 billion to supply U.S. Army combat troops with augmented reality headsets.

As Blaze News reported in July 2022, Paul Pelosi purchased millions of dollars' worth of stock in the Nvidia semiconductor company weeks before a Senate vote on a bill that would provide $52 billion in subsidies to the tech industry.

Pelosi’s stock options gained more than 65% in 2023, according to analysis by Unusual Whales.

Pelosi was questioned about Congress members trading in the stock market when they may know insider information because of their duties. Pelosi snapped back, "We are a free-market economy. They should be able to participate in that."

Drew Hammill, Pelosi's communications director, told Fox Business in 2022, "The speaker does not own any stocks. The speaker has no prior knowledge or subsequent involvement in any transactions."

The Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge Act of 2012, also known as the STOCK Act, made it illegal for family members and members of Congress to profit from insider trading. A 2023 report from Business Insider claimed that 78 members of Congress failed to properly report their financial trades as mandated by the STOCK Act.

Liberal viewers pounce on MSNBC host after Nancy Pelosi furiously accuses her of defending Trump on-air

MSNBC viewers went on the attack against anchor Katy Tur after she received a furious tongue-lashing from Democratic Rep. Nancy Pelosi of California.

The former speaker of the House accused Tur of defending the jobs record of former President Donald Trump when she pushed back gently against Pelosi's tirade.

“Joe Biden is doing that, [he] created 9 million jobs in his term in office," said Pelosi. "Donald Trump has the worst record of job loss of any president. So, we just have to make sure people know.”

"There was a global pandemic," Tur interjected.

Pelosi appeared stunned by the anchor's interruption and lashed out at her.

“He had the worst record of any president. We’ve had other concerns in our country," Pelosi snapped. “If you want to be an apologist for Donald Trump, that may be your role, but it ain’t mine!"

“I don’t think anyone can accuse me of that," Tur replied.

Some MSNBC viewers agreed with Pelosi and pounced on the opportunity to accuse Tur of being biased in favor of Republicans.

"Pelosi basically just called Katy Tur an apologist for trump and I’m glad somebody finally said it. To note the pandemic, which happened in the LAST year of his term, as some sort of defense of his jobs record is insane. She is such an unserious host," read one very popular response.

"Thank you @SpeakerPelosi for calling Katy Tur out on her egregious politicking for Trump!" replied writer Lesley Abravanel. "Pelosi praised Biden as the best jobs prez in history. Tur replied with MAGAt talking point about it being a global pandemic. NP wasn't having it & shut it down."

"Nancy Pelosi annihilated Katy Tur specifically as a gift for those of us who loathe the midday MSNBC lineup as 'leans right,'" read another response.

"Pure perfection. @katytur needs to reapply for Fox news," another viewer agreed.

Tur previously made headlines when she said in 2018 that her life and day-to-day decisions were meaningless because global warming was going to destroy the Earth.

Pelosi also said in the interview that Congress would have to consider term limits for judges on the Supreme Court if they didn't rule against Trump in a way that helped Democrats.

Daily Beast tries to attack Speaker Johnson over his personal finances but accidentally makes him more likable instead

The Daily Beast attacked Speaker Mike Johnson in a story Wednesday over the Louisiana Republican's boringly normal financial situation.

According to the news outlet, Johnson manages a "extraordinarily precarious" financial situation. That's because his financial disclosure forms show that he and his wife do not own bank accounts stashed with cash; they hold no investments in the stock market, have no retirement accounts, and have taken on considerable debt in the form of a mortgage, a home equity loan, and a personal loan.

The Daily Beast used Johnson's situation to make three attacks:

 1. That Johnson is bad with money and thus not a fiscal conservative.
 2. That Johnson is "ripe for influence buying," according to the left-leaning Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics.
 3. That Johnson "plans to use his congressional position as a springboard to something more lucrative once he’s done in government."

The story gained viral attention on Wednesday after Matt Fuller, Washington bureau chief of the Daily Beast, posted the story to social media.

"Mike Johnson doesn't have any retirement savings, own a single stock, or have any assets at all. He has less than $5,000 in his bank account. He's got a 250-500K mortgage, a home equity loan, and a personal loan. So what's his retirement plan? To lobby?" Fuller suggestively wrote.

— (@)

Reaction to the Daily Beast's story included:

 • "So, to extent accurate, he’s like a lot of Americans right now while also navigating raising a large family? What a monster," Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) mocked.
 • "So the Daily Beast wants people to be mad that Speaker Johnson isn’t corrupt and hasn’t used his office to enrich himself? This is how out of touch these guys are," Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) reacted.
 • "Thank you for the gleaming endorsement for @SpeakerJohnson. The left sees these as negatives, but I see them as a man not corrupted or bought," Rep. Cory Mills (R-Fla.) pointed out.
 • "I guess the DC swamp would prefer someone like @SpeakerPelosi or @JoeBiden who became extremely rich while in office," Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) responded.
 • "The D.C. insiders are upset that Speaker Johnson isn’t ultra-rich and corrupt.Maybe they should get out and talk to Real America," Rep. Tom Tiffany (R-Wis.) reacted.
 • The Daily Beast is furious that @SpeakerJohnson isn’t rich, corrupt or rich from being corrupt. He doesn’t have shady business deals. He doesn’t trade stocks as a congressman. Cry more, I guess?" Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) responded.
 • "So he’s a normal American instead of a permanent Washington insider trading globalist like most of DC. Got it. I like him even more now," Blaze TV host Chad Prather said.
 • "The fact that Johnson did not, like countless other Congressmen, suddenly tap into new streams of wealth after he won office in 2016 is a mark in FAVOR of his character. Apparently he’s not availing himself of the insider advantages others are quick to exploit," reporter Megan Basham pointed out.
 • "Perhaps questioning how some members of congress have become multi millionaires while in office should be more of a priority for you?" actor Matthew Marsden noted.
 • "Is it strange that Mike Johnson, who has raised 4 children, has a mortgage and $5k in his bank account...Or is it actually strange that so many other members of Congress are multimillionaires when their salary is $170k per year?" Blaze TV host Lauren Chen questioned.

It turns out that people aren't angry the new House speaker is, at least financially speaking, like a sizable percentage of Americans: not rich and scraping by on what he does have to provide for his family.

Democratic Rep. Pramila Jayapal tries to walk back anti-Israel remarks amid backlash

Rep. Jamila Jayapal (R-Wash.), the chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, attacked Israel during a leftist conference in Chicago over the weekend, prompting significant backlash from Republicans and Democrats alike.
The progressive wing of the Democratic Party comprises members who have historically had trouble containing their hostility toward Israel.

For instance, prior to taking office, Rep. Ilhan Omar (Minn.) tweeted in 2012, "Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel."

Not much has changed since she took office, as reflected by her statement last week, when Omar indicated there is "no way in hell" she would attend Israeli President Isaac Herzog's speech to Congress on July 19.

Jayapal, Rep. Cori Bush (D-Mo.), and other progressive Democrats have similarly refused to attend the speech.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (Mich.) claimed in 2021 that Israel was "promoting racism and dehumanization" under an "apartheid system."

Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y.) has taken issue with the suggestion that Israel has a right to defend itself from Hamas' terror attacks.

The latest of many similar outbursts, which have proven embarrassing for the purported party of inclusivity and anti-racism, took place Saturday at the annual Netroots Nation conference where Jayapal gave a keynote along with Omar.
Anti-Israel protesters waving Palestinian colors interrupted the corresponding panel, prompting Jayapal to walk to the stage's edge. Instead of rebuking those hijacking the event, Jayapal championed their resentments.

"Can I say something as somebody that's been in the streets and has participated in a lot of demonstrations?" said Jayapal. "I want you to know that we have been fighting to make it clear that Israel is a racist state! ... That the Palestinian people deserve self-determination and autonomy, that the dream of a two-state solution is slipping away from us, that it does not even feel possible."

— (@)

Following her remarks at the leftist conference, Jayapal was met with a flurry of denunciations online.

Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) called the congresswoman "despicable," suggesting her claim was "truly disgusting, especially coming from a member of Congress."

Bryan Leib, the executive director of the Combat Antisemitism Everywhere PAC, wrote, "Jayapal has been spreading lies about Israel for years. These comments are nothing new, but they went unchecked under the leadership of the former @SpeakerPelosi. It's time for @SpeakerMcCarthy to take action. Censure!"

AIPAC noted, "Israel is a U.S. ally with an open, free and diverse society comprised of Jews, Muslims, Christians and people from across the world who vote and participate in its democracy as equal citizens. @RepJayapal should be embracing our democratic ally as a model, not demonizing it."

House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Democratic Whip Katherine Clark, Caucus Chair Pete Aguilar, and Vice Chair Ted Lieu issued a statement Sunday, stressing, "Israel is not a racist state."

Although the statement did not mention Jayapal by name, the Democratic leadership noted, "Government officials come and go. The special relationship between the United States and Israel will endure. We are determined to make sure support for Israel in the Congress remains strongly bipartisan."

Jayapal, whose term won't end until 2025, issued a statement Sunday to "clarify" her previous remarks.

"Words do matter and so it is important that I clarify my statement. I do not believe the idea of Israel as a nation is racist. I do, however, believe that Netanyahu’s extreme right-wing government has engaged in discriminatory and outright racist policies and that there are extreme racists driving that policy within the leadership of the current government," wrote the leftist congresswoman.

"Many policies of the current Israeli government, including rampant settlement expansion, make it extremely difficult for Palestinians who simply want the same rights as their Israeli neighbors to believe such a solution is possible," added Jayapal.

Nancy Pelosi completely caves on student loan forgiveness, suddenly claims Biden has authority to carry out plan

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has caved to partisan politics on the issue of sweeping student loan debt cancellation.

After President Joe Biden announced Wednesday his plan for widespread student loan forgiveness, Pelosi praised Biden for taking "bold action" that will help Americans.

"[Biden's] bold action is a strong step in Democrats’ fight to expand access to higher education," Pelosi said. "By delivering historic targeted student debt relief to millions of borrowers, more working families will be able to meet their kitchen table needs as they recover from the pandemic."

“.@POTUS’ bold action is a strong step in Democrats’ fight to expand access to higher education.

By delivering historic targeted student debt relief to millions of borrowers, more working families will be able to meet their kitchen table needs as they recover from the pandemic.”
— Nancy Pelosi (@Nancy Pelosi) 1661357051

Praise for the plan indicates that Pelosi has completely flip-flopped on the issue.

Indeed, Pelosi said on Tuesday that "now clearly, it seems [Biden] has the authority" to move forward with his plan.

But what did Pelosi say before?

Last year, Pelosi stated unequivocally that Biden lacks authority to unilaterally forgive student loan debt because that power rests with Congress.

"People think that the President of the United States has the power for debt forgiveness. He does not. He can postpone. He can delay. But he does not have that power," Pelosi told reporters.

"That has to be an act of Congress," she explained.

In fact, Pelosi said she opposes calling it student loan forgiveness "because that implies a transgression." Instead, Pelosi said that canceling student loan debt is "just freeing people from those obligations."

“>> @SpeakerPelosi says Biden does *not* have the power to cancel student loan debt -- as some Democrats, led by @SenSchumer, are urging him to do.

"That has to be an act of Congress," Pelosi says.”
— Michael Stratford (@Michael Stratford) 1627488782

Pelosi, however, did not stop there. She not only said that Biden lacks the authority to cancel loans, but she explained why taking such action is unfair.

"Suppose … your child just decided they, at this time, [do] not want to go to college, but you're paying taxes to forgive somebody else's obligations, you may not be happy about that," Pelosi said.

So where is Biden getting the authority?

The Biden administration is relying on a 2003 law known as the HEROES Act as the legal authority to execute the plan.

The Education Department released a five-page legal memorandum on Wednesday that claims the nearly two-decade-old law gives the Biden administration "broad authority to grant relief from student loan requirements during specific periods (a war, other military operation, or national emergency, such as the present COVID-19 pandemic) and for specific purposes (including to address the financial harms of such a war, other military operation, or emergency)."

According to the government, the U.S. remains in a public health emergency. HHS disclosed last week that the Biden administration will extend the public health emergency declaration for another 90 days in October.

Former Rep. Charlie Crist wins Florida Democratic gubernatorial primary, will face Gov. Ron DeSantis during the general election

U.S. Rep. Charlie Crist soundly defeated Florida Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services Nikki Fried during the Florida Democratic gubernatorial primary and will now move on to face incumbent Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis during the general election later this year.

DeSantis, who took office in 2019, has become an enormously popular figure on the political right, and could prove to be difficult to defeat in November.

A University of North Florida Public Opinion Research Lab poll from earlier this month found that among registered voters who indicated that they will vote during the midterm election, 50% indicated that they would vote for DeSantis while 42% indicated that they would back Crist if the two politicians were competing in the general election.

DeSantis served in the U.S. House of Representatives prior to serving as governor.

Crist previously served as the governor of the Sunshine State from early 2007 through early 2011 after being elected to the role as a Republican. He later lost a U.S. Senate bid in 2010 while running as an independent. In 2014, he lost the state's gubernatorial contest while running as a Democrat. Crist has served in the U.S. House of Representatives since early 2017.

Earlier this year, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) threw her support behind Crist's candidacy. "I'm honored to receive the full support and endorsement of my colleague and friend, @SpeakerPelosi, as we work to build a Florida that truly works for all Floridians!" Crist tweeted.

— Charlie Crist (@Charlie Crist) 1650287752

Crist has called DeSantis "an autocrat" and "a demagogue," according to the Associated Press.

Fried has described DeSantis as "the most dangerous governor in the country."

Former drug dealer BLASTS sanctuary cities for fueling the fentanyl trade

Ricci Wynne is a recovering drug addict using his social media to battle the policies that have turned his hometown of San Francisco into an open-air drug market. In this clip, Ricci opens up to "Fearless" host Jason Whitlock about the shocking story of how San Fran’s sanctuary city status further enables the deadly international fentanyl trade.

Ricci bravely blows the whistle on San Francisco's safe space for undocumented drug dealers. According to Ricci, some of these foreign citizens have been arrested two and three times for selling drugs, but they have no fear of being deported because of the city's sanctuary status.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi endorses Rep. Charlie Crist in Florida gubernatorial race, takes swipe at Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis: 'Florida, you deserve better'

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is weighing in on Florida's 2022 gubernatorial contest by backing fellow Democratic Rep. Charlie Crist.

"He'll be a champion for women's reproductive rights, create opportunities for small business owners, and always show empathy and compassion for our working families. It's a stark contrast to the current governor. Florida, you deserve better," Pelosi said in a video.

I'm honored to receive the full support and endorsement of my colleague and friend, @SpeakerPelosi, as we work to build a Florida that truly works for all Floridians!pic.twitter.com/kqHgCsyA1k

Crist, who has served as a Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives since early 2017, previously served as governor of the Sunshine State from early 2007 until early 2011 — Crist was a Republican when he won the Florida governor's race in 2006, but he lost a 2010 U.S. Senate bid while running as an independent. He ran for Florida governor as a Democrat in 2014 and lost that contest to Republican Rick Scott.

Crist now has his sights set on the governorship again and is competing in the Democratic gubernatorial primary.

"Speaker Pelosi is a beacon of Democratic values, and her leadership uplifts the voices of all Floridians that are ready to put divisive, inflammatory rhetoric behind us and truly get to work for the people," Crist said in a statement, according to Politico.

Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis, a popular conservative figure, is seeking another term in office.

DeSantis press secretary Christina Pushaw posted a laughing emoji when retweeting a post about Pelosi's support for Crist.

A Saint Leo University Polling Institute survey earlier this year found that DeSantis would trounce Crist in a hypothetical gubernatorial election matchup: While 49.2% chose DeSantis, just 32.8% indicated they would back Crist, and 18% were not sure. The individuals surveyed were given names but not party affiliations.

The poll also found a that DeSantis had a 58.8% job approval rating. While 37.4% strongly approved, 21.4% somewhat approved.

Crist is vowing to veto legislation that imposes abortion restrictions: "Free State of Florida? Not when you’re banning a women’s right to choose, Ron. As Governor, I’ll veto any effort to restrict a woman’s right to control her own body."

— Charlie Crist (@Charlie Crist) 1650045407

Last week, DeSantis signed pro-life legislation to prohibit performing abortions if the gestational age of the unborn baby is greater than 15 weeks, with certain exceptions.

"Women should make decisions about their own bodies, not governors. I'd veto this bill and any attempt to restrict the right to choose. Full stop," Crist tweeted.

Rep. Thomas Massie mocks Pelosi's choice for Transportation Committee by posting video of her parking a car

Republican Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky mocked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and her expected choice to chair the House Transportation Committee by posting a video of the candidate parking badly.

Massie posted the video to his official social media account and added that he was not joking. The video showed a very bad parking job reportedly by Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-District of Colombia).

"@SpeakerPelosi is seriously considering this person to serve as the chairwoman of the Transportation Committee," tweeted Massie.

"Folks, I’m not making this up," he added with a second tweet with a link about Norton being considered by Pelosi to serve as the chairwoman of the Transportation Committee.

The tweet from Massie went viral on Twitter with more than 8,300 likes and 3,600 retweets.

Massie had previously mocked Norton with the same video on Tuesday when she ridiculed him for resisting the vaccine mandate in D.C. and said she would provide sandwiches to his staffers who were afraid of being fired over his stance.

"We appreciate the offer @EleanorNorton. Just please promise you won’t drive to get the sandwiches," he joked.

Norton was first elected to Congress in 1991 and is 84 years old. She made headlines in July 2020 when she said she would fight any effort by the then-Washington Redskins to relocate to Washington D.C. while they retained their old name whichmany considered racist.

"I call on Dan Snyder once again to face that reality, since he does still desperately want to be in the nation's capital," Norton said at the time. "He has got a problem he can't get around — and he particularly can't get around it today, after the George Floyd killing."

The team later changed its name to the Washington Football Team.

President Biden will campaign for California Gov. Newsom in Long Beach event on Monday

President Joe Biden will take part in an event with California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Monday as the Golden State governor stares down the threat of being ousted from office during the state's gubernatorial recall election.

Biden will appear at the event with Newsom in Long Beach, according to White House press secretary Jen Psaki, who also noted that Biden will make stops next week in Boise, Idaho, to visit the National Interagency Fire Center; Sacramento, California, to view wildfire damage; and Denver, Colorado, to take part in a Build Back Better event.

President Biden "will join Governor Gavin Newsom in Long Beach Monday, September 13 for the campaign's final rally… https://t.co/NEJm2Nnlm6

— Geoff Bennett (@GeoffRBennett) 1631207540.0

While the president's in-person campaign appearance will come the day before the Tuesday recall contest, many Californians have already voted.

Every active registered voter is supposed to receive a vote-by-mail ballot for the contest.

"According to Political Data, Inc., which provides election data, nearly a third of the electorate had voted as of Thursday morning," the New York Times reported.

Republican candidate Larry Elder tweeted that he "voted early in person" on Wednesday. While polling indicates that Newsom will likely weather the recall and remain in office, polling also has Elder as the top contender to replace Newsom should the governor be ejected from office.

On the ballot, voters will indicate whether or not Newsom should be recalled. They will also indicate which candidate they want to replace the governor if he is recalled. If a majority of the votes support recalling Newsom, the governor will be ousted from office and the candidate with the most votes will become the new governor and serve out the remainder of Newsom's term, which ends Jan. 2, 2023.

California voters successfully recalled Democratic Gov. Gray Davis in 2003 and replaced him with Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Biden has already publicly backed Newsom, as have other high-profile Democrats, including former President Barack Obama who appeared in an ad supporting the Golden State governor.

Left-wing billionaire George Soros recently donated another $500,000 to the "Stop the Republican Recall of Governor Newsom" organization, which was in addition to another half million dollars that he had previously provided, according to Fox News.

On Thursday, one of George Soros's children, Alexander Soros, tweeted a photo of himself, his father, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), along with the message, "In Pelosi we trust! Was good seeing @SpeakerPelosi this weekend."
