MSNBC joins Dems in smearing Holocaust survivor, other Trump supporters at Madison Square Garden as Nazis

MSNBC, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, and other Harris allies smeared a Holocaust survivor and tens of thousands of other Americans who attended President Donald Trump's high-energy campaign event Sunday at Madison Square Garden, characterizing them as today's equivalent of Nazis and fascists.

Despite the efforts of New York state Sen. Brad Hoylman-Sigal and other radical Democrats to shut down the event and a campaign by Lincoln Project false-flaggers to empty the stands, a diverse crowd filled the Garden to hear from numerous speakers, including former first lady Melania Trump, Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio), Elon Musk, Tucker Carlson, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Hulk Hogan, and Tony Hinchcliffe — a comedian who appears to have broken leftists' thin skin with his usual cutting humor.

Trump, exuding the joy his opponent once laid claim to, spoke of the dormancy of American greatness during the Biden-Harris years and the prospect of its return and maximization if he wins a second term.

While the crowd of tens of thousands appeared receptive to the speakers' remarks, Democrats and their media allies descended into fits of hysteria, leaning hard into preplanned Nazi comparisons and more of the incendiary rhetoric that set the stage for two known assassination attempts.

MSNBC went the distance for the Harris campaign in its coverage of the event, effectively smearing the multitudes in attendance — including Trump's numerous Jewish supporters and even a Holocaust survivor — as Nazis and fascists.

In a segment captioned, "Trump's MSG rally comes 85 years after pro-Nazi rally at famed arena," MSNBC talking head Jonathan Capehart said that the event was "particularly chilling because in 1939, more than 20,000 supporters of a different fascist leader, Adolf Hitler, packed the Garden for a so-called pro-America rally — a rally where speakers voiced anti-Semitic rhetoric from a stage draped with Nazi banners."

MSNBC juxtaposed clips of a Nazi rally with footage from Trump's event at the Garden.

'I know more about Hitler than Kamala will ever know in a thousand lifetimes.'

Capehart — who refrained from noting that the Democratic Party held its national conventions at the Garden in 1976, 1980, and 1992 — then appealed to anti-Trump historians Ruth Ben-Ghiat and Anne Applebaum for help smearing Trump and his supporters as Nazi parallels.

Steve Benen, the producer of "The Rachel Maddow Show," similarly likened the Sunday campaign event to a Nazi rally, writing, "The Republican’s Madison Square Garden event was ugly. It was offensive. It was vulgar. It was hateful. It drew obvious parallels to the 1939 event."

Time magazine, which again demonstrated its aversion to the truth last month, released an article ahead of the rally titled "How the Trump Rally at Madison Square Garden Follows a Long Tradition in Politics," emphasizing that Nazis once gathered where Trump supporters would soon rally.

Jerry Wartski, a 94-year-old Holocaust survivor who survived Auschwitz and the Nazis' death marches, was among those at the rally smeared by MSNBC and other Democratic propaganda outfits.

Wartski noted in a recent video, "Adolf Hitler invaded Poland when I was 9 years old. He murdered my parents and most of my family. I know more about Hitler than Kamala will ever know in a thousand lifetimes. For her to accuse President Trump of being like Hitler is the worst thing I've ever heard in my 75 years of living in the United States."

The Holocaust survivor appears to have singled out Harris because of her suggestion at a recent CNN town hall that Trump is a fascist and previous insinuations on the same theme.

The Nazi narrative embraced Sunday by MSNBC began in earnest earlier this month when Hoylman-Sigal wrote on X, "Let's be clear. Allowing Trump to hold an event at MSG is equivalent to the infamous Nazis rally at Madison Square Garden on February 20, 1939."

At the time, Blaze News senior editor and Washington correspondent Christopher Bedford noted, "A better comparison might have been Young Americans for Freedom's 1962 Madison Square Garden Rally, when those teenagers organized well over 18,000 attendees, and more outside, for a rally against global communism."

"New York liberals were shocked then how many of the kids rejected their tired ideas, but guys like Hoylman-Sigal don't actually know any history, so they just prove their own intolerant bigotries by calling for anyone who opposes their own tired ideas to be shut down," added Bedford.

Hoylman-Sigal was later aided in his narrative campaign by failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who — apparently happy to forget her husband's 1992 rally at the Garden — told CNN that Trump would be "re-enacting the Madison Square Garden rally in 1939."

'They are a collection of hypocritical, mentally unstable children.'

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz soon joined in, saying, "There's a direct parallel to a big rally that happened in the mid-1930s at Madison Square Garden and don't think that he doesn't know for one second exactly what they're doing there."

The Democratic National Committee even projected Nazi accusations onto the Garden's exterior on the day, claiming, "Trump praised Hitler."

DNC spokesperson Abhi Rahman noted on X, "@TheDemocrats are reminding voters that Americans can’t afford Trump’s unstable and unwell behavior — even at his own rallies."

Critics of the apparently coordinated Nazi smear suggested that the media was not only agitating for violence but diminishing the true horror of the Holocaust and the evil of the Nazis for political gain.

Manhattan Institute fellow Ilya Shapiro noted, "Those who liken Trump to Hitler and the MSG rally to the Nazi rally aren't just smearing Trump, but minimizing Hitler/Nazis - which, given the antisemitic nature of the progressive left, may well be the point."

"INCITEMENT," wrote the popular X user @amuse. "Yesterday's Trump rally was filled with Americans from every walk of life including orthodox, conservative, reform, and secular Jews. I saw a woman in a burka. It wasn't an anything like a Nazi rally. Shame on MSNBC."

Dr. Simon Goddek tweeted to MSNBC, "You deserve to be canceled to the core."

Some users shared images of John F. Kennedy and other former presidents speaking at the Garden, while others asked whether the Knicks might be Nazi-like for playing at the venue.

Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk wrote, "Never mind that JFK and FDR both spoke at the same arena. Nope, those speeches were fine, because they were Democrats. Now, they're rewriting the rules so that big political rallies in a big city is 'Nazi' behavior. The left call themselves 'the adults in the room,' but they are the exact opposite. They are a collection of hypocritical, mentally unstable children. They cannot be allowed to hold power."

Iran's Khamenei expresses support for student protestors in the US: 'You have now formed a branch of the Resistance Front'

Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is expressing support for student protestors in the U.S.

"I am writing this letter to the young people whose awakened conscience has moved them to defend the oppressed women and children of Gaza. Dear university students in the United States of America, this message is an expression of our empathy and solidarity with you. As the page of history is turning, you are standing on the right side of it," the Iranian figure said in a letter, according to english.khamenei.ir. "You have now formed a branch of the Resistance Front and have begun an honorable struggle in the face of your government's ruthless pressure—a government which openly supports the usurper and brutal Zionist regime."

'The ayatollah and @TheDemocrats are supporting the same movement.'

"The global Zionist elite – who owns most US and European media corporations or influences them through funding and bribery – has labeled this courageous, humane resistance movement as 'terrorism,'" he declared. "The oppressive leaders of global hegemony mercilessly distort even the most basic human concepts. They portray the ruthless, terrorist Israeli regime as acting in self-defense – yet they portray the Palestinian Resistance which defends its freedom, security and the right to self-determination, as terrorists!"

At the conclusion of the message, Khamenei advised the students to familiarize themselves with the Quran.

"This should be clear as day, but if you are standing on the side of this man - the leader of a terrorist regime who kills his own people - you are on the wrong side of history," GOP Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina declared in a post on X.

— (@)

"The ayatollah and @TheDemocrats are supporting the same movement. Let that sink in," GOP Sen. Tommy Tuberville of Alabama tweeted.

Last year, terrorists perpetrated a heinous attack against Israel, slaughtering, raping, and kidnapping victims. Israel responded by launching a war effort.

White House finally releases statement on Laken Riley's brutal murder — but it only makes things worse: 'Sad and pathetic'

The White House was slammed on Monday for releasing a woefully inadequate statement about the shocking murder of Laken Riley.

Police have charged Jose Ibarra, a 26-year-old Venezuelan immigrant living in the U.S. illegally, for murdering Riley, a 22-year-old Georgia college student, on the University of Georgia campus last week.

Court documents allege that Ibarra didn't simply kill Riley. Rather, police accuse him of "disfiguring her skull."

The heinous crime has brought increased attention to the border crisis and President Joe Biden's immigration policies, and the administration's response to Riley's murder isn't helping.

On Monday, a White House spokesperson released the following statement:

We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Laken Hope Riley. People should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law if they are found to be guilty. Given this is an active case, we would have to refer you to state law enforcement and ICE.

The lackluster statement — which doesn't, in fact, include any word from President Biden himself — was quickly slammed.

 • "No statement from Biden? Just a few cold words from a press aide. Pathetic," Rep. Jim Banks (R-Ind.) said.
 • '"People should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law if they are found to be guilty.' Really? The White House refused to hold this illegal alien accountable for crossing our border illegally in 2022," Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) said.
 • "I've heard NO APOLOGIES or remorse from @TheDemocrats about their open border policies leading to another murdered American," Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) said in response.
 • "Tragic and preventable. Joe Biden took 94 executive actions in his first 100 days to expose our southern border. 3 years later, Biden still refuses to take accountability for creating the worst border catastrophe in American history. His failure is having deadly consequences," Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.) responded.
 • "Once again, Biden refuses to take accountability for creating the worst border disaster in American history. What a sad and pathetic statement given his administration's actions have allowed this to take place. @POTUS stop the invasion, shut down the border," Rep. Eric Burlison (R-Mo.) said.
 • "Mr. President, instead of making excuses for her murder, and defending policies that weaken our immigration laws, we must ensure justice for Laken by first securing our border," Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-Ga.) said.
 • "I see they left out the part that her murder was a result of leftist sanctuary city policies and the open border," Jeremy Redfern, press secretary for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), pointed out.
 • "If only the White House showed similar deference to ICE on actually enforcing our laws, then Laken Riley may still be alive. There were thousands of detention beds available to detain and remove Laken’s killer when he entered illegally," the National Immigration Center for Enforcement said.

As Blaze News reported, Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed that Ibarra entered the U.S. illegally in September 2022.

About a year later, Ibarra was arrested in New York City for "acting in a manner to injure a child less than 17 and a motor vehicle license violation." But he was "released by the NYPD before a detainer could be issued," ICE said. Ibarra then moved to Georgia sometime last fall.

Gavin Newsom bashes Target CEO, says blacks, Asians, Jews, and women are next victims of 'systemic attack'

Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom of California criticized the CEO of Target after he appeared to back off on publicizing products for the LGBTQ agenda.

Newsom assailed the decision to move LGBTQ products to the back of stores after outrage from many on the right.

"CEO of Target Brian Cornell selling out the LGBTQ+ community to extremists is a real profile in courage. This isn’t just a couple stores in the South. There is a systematic attack on the gay community happening across the country," wrote Newsom in a tweet Tuesday.

— Gavin Newsom (@Gavin Newsom) 1684896305

"Wake up America. This doesn’t stop here. You’re black? You’re Asian? You’re Jewish? You’re a woman? You’re next," he claimed.

Newsom's bizarre accusation was widely marked on social media.

"Target sells Hanukkah stuff every year. There has never been a boycott of Target based on that. Target celebrates Black History Month every year. There has never been a boycott of Target based on that. We just don't like the sexual indoctrination of the kids," responded Ben Shapiro.

"So @GavinNewsom supports woke giant corporations hiring designers who follow Satan to entice impressionable self-conscious teens into damaging their bodies. For profit. While claiming moral virtue for doing so. This is now the modern left and @TheDemocrats," replied Jordan Peterson.

"You want to be LGBT+fine, just stop cramming it down our throats & targeting children with clothing they don't even understand. This boycott response is the result of the left's cancel culture you all created. Conservatives are the consumer & they are talking with their wallets," read another popular response.

On Tuesday, a report said that Target executives held an emergency meeting to address the growing furor against their LGBTQ marketing campaign. On Wednesday, the company announced that it would be moving products to the back of the store in order to avoid physical threats allegedly being made against Target employees.

"I think those are just good business decisions, and it's the right thing for society, and it's the great thing for our brand," said Cornell on a podcast.

"Since introducing this year's collection, we've experienced threats impacting our team members' sense of safety and wellbeing while at work," read a statement from the company.

"Given these volatile circumstances, we are making adjustments to our plans, including removing items that have been at the center of the most significant confrontational behavior," it added.

'Why is this the hill Democrats want to die on?' Bill Maher condemns teaching gender ideology to children

'Why is this the hill Democrats want to die on?' Bill Maher condemns teaching gender ideology to children

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) and writer Andrew Sullivan joined Bill Maher's HBO panel recently to criticize teaching gender ideology and pronouns to young children.

"I just don't understand why this is the hill that the Democratic Party wants to die on," remarked Maher.

Sullivan, who often critiques the educational system, asked, "Why does a 4-year-old come in, and instead of teaching them the colors, you're telling them 'pick your pronoun'? Where on earth did that come from, and who told us it was going to be imposed on children?"

"I don't want to teach 5-year-olds about being gay ... [teachers are] telling them something worse, they're telling them people can choose to be a boy or girl, or neither, or something else entirely; that is a lie," Sullivan exclaimed, adding that he feels it is done to "placate certain special interests in Washington."

"None of this is anti-trans," Maher replied, adding that "trans is a real thing, rare, but real, but rare."

Maher then disagreed with the idea that sex isn't decided at birth and that it takes a child to discover or declare a sex to determine what it is.

"We all seem to have to pretend that we are born ... I don't know ... jump ball."

“I don't understand why this is the hill @theDemocrats want to die on. #Theybies”
— Bill Maher (@Bill Maher) 1674687326

"Don't be coming home with gender pronouns, you better be coming home with As and Bs," said Mace of South Carolina, describing conversations she's had with her children.

Sullivan added that "it's all about identity, it's all about being queer or trans, children can't understand that stuff," with Maher remarking "and you say that as a queer."

On his Substack page, Sullivan writes about a book titled "They, She, He: Easy as ABC," used in a first-grade curriculum in Evanston/Skokie School District 65, a public school system in the Chicago suburbs.

In it, the book teaches children about the pronoun "ze," while one of the characters in the story uses the pronoun "tree," despite being named Diego.

Sullivan also points to a show called "Love, Simon," which has a character played by an actor named Keiynan Lonsdale who has revealed that his preferred pronoun is also "tree."

Bill Maher explains why Dems are LOSING and how they could use lessons from Johnny Depp

On “The Rubin Report” this week, BlazeTV host Dave Rubin reacted to a recent episode of "Real Time with Bill Maher" in which the liberal talk show host tore into Democrats for fumbling the abortion issue by making it about "woke-y" terms like “birthing people” and “people who menstruate" instead of women’s rights.

"And then there's abortion, a difficult issue for the Democrats to lose on — but they're trying," Maher said to guest panelist Andrew Sullivan.

"For decades, liberals have said 'if only men could get pregnant this wouldn't even be an issue' and 'abortion rights are women's rights.' Well, that's wrong now," he continued. "When the wokey end of the progressive spectrum talks about abortion now they shy away from that word 'women' and prefer terms like 'birthing people' or 'people who menstruate' because somewhere there's a trans man who's pregnant. ... Oh, Democrats, let's take the first f***ing word a human animal understands, mama, and replace it with something best understood by four Trotskyites at Berkeley."

Maher added, "The wavering voter is saying to her lawyer, the Democratic Party, 'Hey, I'm so happy for you that you have so many other clients, and that you care so much about their problems and all the pro bono work you do, but you're supposed to be my lawyer.'"

Earlier in the episode, Maher referenced Johnny Depp's defamation trial to illustrate the need for "a good representative in court" and compare that to the voters' need for good representation in Congress — something the Democratic Party is completely failing to provide.

“In the American political system, the people are represented by two separate but equally stupid groups: The Republicans, who normalize constitutional crimes, and the Democrats, who pit identity groups against each other. These are their stories," Maher said, playing on the opening line to the show "Law & Order."

“If there's one thing the Johnny Depp trial proved it's that in this world, you got to have a good lawyer, and @theDemocrats need a few.”

Cuomo accuser, a Democrat, blames her own party for 'hatred spewed' on Twitter against his alleged victims

One of the many accusers of sexual harassment against Democrat Gov. Andrew Cuomo of New York called out the Democratic party over a Twitter influencer who whad tried to undermine her credibility and was later revealed to be paid for his tweets.

Lindsey Boylan, herself a Democrat, called out the Democratic party for using women while pretending to defend them.

Boylan referred specifically to Majid Padellan, a Twitter influencer paid by a pro-Biden political action group, that had previously implied there were ulterior motives to her accusations against Cuomo.

— Lindsey Boylan (@Lindsey Boylan)1615427811.0

"We women have received tremendous hate since @mmpadellan negated our harassment claims against the governor. He called us props and tools. Our party @TheDemocrats and @TheDemCoalition and affiliates must stop paying for hatred spewed at women who come forward," tweeted Boylan on Wednesday.

"Honestly my own party uses women as it pretends to defend us. Do better. Stop paying for jerks to hate on us. We will follow the money. And respond," she added in a second tweet.

In December she revealed in a series of tweets that she had been sexually harassed numerous times by Cuomo, for whom she had formerly worked as a special advisor.

Soon after, Padellan implied in a now-deleted tweet that the timing of the accusations coincided with an investigation into former President Donald Trump by the Manhattan District Attorney's Office.

"The only person who could pardon trump from a conviction in New York is the Governor. Kinda makes you wonder about TIMING," read the tweet.

On Thursday, the Democratic Assembly Speaker of New York authorized an impeachment probe into the accusations made against Cuomo.

Boylan is running as a Democratic candidate for Manhattan Borough president in 2021 after failing to defeat Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) in the 2020 Democratic primary.

Democrats get torched by their own after caving on calling witnesses during Trump's impeachment trial

Democratic lawmakers were scorned by their own supporters on Saturday after they reached an agreement with Senate Republicans to not call witnesses in former President Donald Trump's impeachment trial.

What happened?

Early on Saturday, the Senate voted 55-45 to call witnesses in the trial, which would have indefinitely extended the proceedings against Trump.

As TheBlaze reported, lead impeachment manager Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) had expressed interest subpoenaing Rep. Herrera Beutler (R-Wa.) to testify about a conversation between Trump and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) that took place during the Capitol Riots.

However, Democrats quickly caved, reaching an agreement to not call witnesses, which meant Trump's trial ended on Saturday.

Indeed, the former president, though twice impeached, has been now twice acquitted.

The result on Saturday was more bipartisan than before. Seven Republicans voted "guilty," whereas only one Republican senator — Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) — voted guilty in Trump's first trial. Even then, Romney only voted "guilty" on one of the charges against Trump at the time.

What was the reaction?

Democrats were panned by their own supporters for retreating on calling witnesses.

 • "This is retreat. White flag. Malpractice. Completely unstrategic. They just closed the door on others who may have stepped out, as @HerreraBeutler urged last night. Just when we thought Dems were being bold and strategic. This is grabbing lameness out of the jaws of boldness," one person said.
 • "Democrats are so embarrassing," another person said.
 • "Wait. The idiot Democrats decided NOT to call witnesses? See, this is why they are stuck on stupid. They don't know how to play hardball. They allowed the GOP to punk them. When you play to win, you PLAY TO WIN. This is sorry ass leadership," another person reacted.
 • "We f***ing had them and the House Managers caved. If the situation had been reversed, the GOP would have jammed so many witnesses down our throats just to run up the score. I'm so sick of Democrats always acting like losers," another person responded.
 • "And the Democrats just folded. Why do we even bother?" another person said.
 • "Once again, Democrats bring a butter knife to a gunfight," one person responded.
 • "Omg. No witnesses. That's insane. It's like stopping short at the 5 yard line. How unbelievably disappointing," another person said.
 • "I cannot believe that @TheDemocrats just gave up on trying to convict a President who literally incited an insurrection at the United States Capitol. How are you not going to give that fight everything you've got? Stand for something, dammit," another person responded.
 • "Truly no one is worse at politics than Senate Democrats," one person said.
 • "This is so weak," Meena Harris, the niece of Vice President Kamala Harris, reacted.

Hilarity ensues when LA's Democratic mayor tells residents to hike thermostat amid record heat: 'Warning to all America'

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti was raked over the coals after instructing Los Angeles residents on Sunday to reduce their use of electricity.

What did Garcetti say?

On Sunday, the mayor tweeted, "It's almost 3 p.m. Time to turn off major appliances, set the thermostat to 78 degrees (or use a fan instead), turn off excess lights and unplug any appliances you're not using. We need every Californian to help conserve energy. Please do your part."

— MayorOfLA (@MayorOfLA)1599429116.0

Garcetti's directive came as Californians battle record heat and face ravaging wildfires.

With record-setting heat, residents use more electricity to cool their homes, increasing stress on the power grid and resulting in rolling blackouts.

What was the response?

Tens of thousands of people responded to Garcetti's tweet, stunned that such a message could come from the leader of one of the wealthiest cities in the world, in the wealthiest country ever to exist.

Many attributed the shocking directive to liberalism, progressivism, and socialism. Garcetti is a Democrat.

 • "Socialism sucks. With Biden-Harris, this train wreck of an energy policy is coming to your state too. Their new slogan: if you want to live without air conditioning—vote Democrat," Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said.
 • "This is a daily ritual in Somalia, Venezuela, Cuba, every socialist s***hole in the world. Thank you, @TheDemocrats," actor James Woods responded.
 • "We pay some of the highest taxes in the nation, and what we receive for those tax dollars are riots condoned by the city, and an insufficient energy grid to deal with the super-unpredictable fact that it gets f***ing hot in summer in CA," Ben Shapiro fired back.
 • "Nothing says 'I'm a failed Mayor' quite like this tweet," comedian Tim Young replied.
 • "Just showed this warning to my wife. She's a recent immigrant from a third world country. The look on her face was priceless when she realized that California, a major first world economic powerhouse, couldn't keep the power on any better than the country she just left," another person said.
 • "Warning to all America. This is what decades of Democrat leadership brings. By the way, right now California politicians like Kamala Harris aren't working on a fix. They are just trying to figure out how to blame Trump," another person said.
 • "Here's what a highly regulated, government dictated energy system gets you... weakness, failure and danger," acting Deputy Director of Homeland Security Ken Cuccinelli said.
 • "D**n. I thought this was a parody tweet at first. No wonder ppl are leaving CA in droves. Yikes," another person responded.

Fortunately, another blackout was narrowly averted over the weekend.
