'I literally did not see anything': Viral airplane lady tries to explain her American Airlines freakout
Tiffany Gomas, the infamous woman on an American Airlines flight who was seen saying "that motherf**ker is not real!" revealed on a podcast that she didn't actually see anything out of the ordinary and was simply using a figure of speech during an argument.
Speaking to the "Pardon My Take" podcast, the 38-year-old marketing executive claimed the original story was not quite what it seemed.
"Can I ask again what you saw?" said podcast host Dan Katz.
"The reason I probably haven’t come out yet, 'cause it's like so cringe," Gomas replied. "I did not see anything; I mean, I think y'all knew that."
"You said you did," host Hank Lockwood chimed in.
"No, I did not. The media —," Gomas responded.
"You said this motherf**ker's not real," Katz then added.
"I got in a bit of an altercation; it spiraled out of control; it was not my best moment. It was actually a horrible moment. Absolutely mortifying."
"That clip we all saw ... was not you thinking someone was an alien, it was just the tail end of an argument," Katz attempted to confirm.
"It was an expression of speech," the woman said.
"There was really bad energy, and I don’t want to get into all the details in all of that … as you know, it’s ongoing."
What did @Tiffany_Gomas see on that airplane?— (@)
A police report obtained by the New York Post about a month after the incident reportedly stated that Gomas was worked up over an argument with relatives and accused them of stealing her AirPod wireless headphones.
Gomas also had remarks for other passengers before she headed to the front of the plane: “You can sit on this plane and you can f**king die with them or not. I’m not going to.”
Police wrote that “the female then started claiming the aircraft was not safe and did not want the aircraft to leave due to her believing it would not make it to its destination,” the July 2, 2023, document read.
A subsequent video showed Gomas saying "Stop the plane! Stop the plane!" before her infamous rant. She then told a flight attendant, "I need to get off this f***ing plane right now!"
Gomas vaguely said, "See what happens. See what happens after this. See what happens. See what the f*** happens after this."
Flight crew then attempted to retrieve her carry-on luggage, but Gomas said, "I don't even give a f*** about my s**t."
She has since issued apologies and promoted charitable T-shirts.

You have to hear Crazy Plane Lady's apology...
If you didn’t know Tiffany Gomas’ name before, you likely do now.
The 38-year-old marketing executive from Texas went viral when she urged a flight crew to let her off an American Airlines flight before takeoff.
While Gomas gave no reason for her distress, she yelled, “I’m telling you, I’m getting the f*** off, and there’s a reason why I’m getting the f*** off, and everyone can either believe it or they can not believe it.”
Gomas continued her tirade, telling passengers, “That motherf***er back there is not real,” as she pointed toward the back of the plane. “You can sit on this plane, and you can die with them or not. I’m not going to,” she added.
Gomas was then allowed off the plane, but the recording of her remained — and left social media users wondering what exactly she was talking about and who exactly wasn’t real.
“We all have our bad moments, but some far worse than others. And mine happened to be caught on camera for the whole world to see,” Gomas later said in an apology video recently uploaded to social media.
While she admits she’s enjoyed some of the memes, she also explains that some of the attention has been “very invasive and unkind.”
Gomas has been doxxed, and her two million dollar mansion was not only photographed for an article that also went viral on social media, but her neighborhood was referenced as well.
Pat Gray isn’t quite sure the apology was necessary.
“I don’t know that we needed an apology really. Did we? I would rather have an explanation of what was wrong with you,” Gray says.
“It would be nice if people just let her get on with things now. Stay on your meds, pumpkin, and it’ll be okay. Hopefully,” he adds.
