New feminist Wonder Woman comic has hero enslaved as traditional, Christian wife who must reject the Bible to escape

A new Wonder Woman comic book has the hero trapped in her mind as a traditional, Christian wife who is verbally abused by her husband.

"Wonder Woman #8," written by author Tom King, places Wonder Woman under the constraints of a villain who has bound her with the Lasso of Lies, a powerful weapon much like her own, which he uses to manipulate her mind.

Please note that this article contains many spoilers.

While tied up with the magical lasso, the reader learns that Wonder Woman is trapped in her mind, living as a Christian wife in a pseudo-1950s landscape with cell phones.

Her husband is an abusive military officer who immediately takes issue with his wife's inability to deliver dinner on time. After reminding his wife, trad Wonder Woman, that he is "going out with the boys," she insists that she is "going to be better" for him.

The comic jumps back and forth between the real world and the one created to torment her. In her traditional-hell landscape, Wonder Woman's thoughts are invaded by Bible passages that poison her mind. 1 Timothy 2:9-15 is used, which talks about women being encouraged to dress modestly and decently, learning in quiet, and not having authority over a man.

Ephesians 5:22-24 is later cited, which says, "Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior."

Later in the comic, Wonder Woman's husband complains about the temperature on his steak, and when asking her why she isn't eating, she says it's because she's trying to lose weight.

"I do need to watch my figure," she states.

After becoming enraged when Wonder Woman asks him when he will be home, the tormenting husband tells her that she may not be able to cook, but at least she looks good.

"I shouldn't have asked. Have fun. I have so many chores around here to distract me. As much as anything can distract me from you," she said painfully.

"You can't cook, and you never know when to shut your mouth. But dammit, you do look all right in that outfit," the husband said while embracing the emotionally damaged woman.

Eventually, Wonder Woman escapes her mental prison but not before one more painfully written interaction with her husband. While sending her spouse into a spiral by burning his eggs, Wonder Woman is mentally battling more Bible passages.

Titus 2:3-5 is then quoted in the comic as "women, likewise, are to be reverent in behavior. Not slanderers or slaves to much wine."

"They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children," it goes on.

She scolds her husband in their final interaction for not listening to her.

Eventually, Wonder Woman's mother appears in her hallucination to remind her that she is a strong, powerful woman who can accomplish anything.

Inspired by her mother, Wonder Woman breaks free from her confines and, while holding the villain by his throat, yells, "I do not believe your God!"

With dialogue narrating how Wonder Woman's will can never be broken — unlike even the toughest of men — the story comes to an end in both worlds.

In the trad world, Wonder Woman's husband is left with a departing note from his now-estranged wife.

"Steve. My mother came by. I'm leaving with her. I am not coming back."

"The truth is, I'm not who you think I am. I am only who I think I am."

"P.S. The house is a little messy. And you're going to need a new vacuum."

Steve is revealed as looking stunned while reading the note. A caption adds, "We pushed her as far as any man has ever been pushed."

"But from the clay from which she is made, it will not crack."

As That Park Place reported, a former DC Comics artist who worked on Suicide Squad and Justice League of America comics announced he would boycott the company over the recent tones in the Wonder Woman series.

Women turn back to traditional roles because feminism FAILED them

Lily Kate, a leading female voice among Gen Z conservatives, joins Chad Prather on the “Chad Prather Show” to discuss recent movements in modern feminism.

Society is “seeing this very broad movement of women who are saying, ‘You know what, feminism and everything that it offers is totally rotten,’” she tells Chad.

Kate and many like her maintain that the idea that “the greatest thing [a woman] can accomplish is full autonomy” is a “feminist lie.”

Chad agrees, saying that many women who are successful at achieving full autonomy eventually realize it “wasn’t everything they thought it was supposed to be.”

Another result is that “men are scared to approach women ... because [they’ve] been told for so long now that [they] can’t ... go out there and be an alpha ‘toxic male,’” he says sarcastically.

Kate thinks men have every right to be scared though, considering women are “favored in the social courts and the political courts,” especially after the third wave of feminism and the #MeToo movement.

But it looks like many women are jumping off the feminist bandwagon in favor of more traditional roles.

Kate says that most of what she calls truly “feminine women” are coming to the realization that “men’s goal and purpose is to civilize nature,” while “women’s goal and purpose is to civilize men.”

“If women are trying to civilize nature,” she argues, “it’s not going to work; it’s going to turn into chaos” because “that’s not our God-given purpose. But if we can spend our time civilizing men and then inserting beauty into the places that men build in the culture, that’s where a woman can click into her most powerful essence.”

Is the FBI targeting CATHOLICS now?

Glenn Beck took to the airwaves last week to sound the alarm on the FBI, which targeted traditional Catholics for being violent extremists in a recently retracted memo.

“Interests of radically or ethnically motivated violent extremist Catholic ideology most certainly presents new mitigation opportunities,” the FBI field office had said in the now-retracted statement.

The FBI almost sound excited, like it’s fun to intimidate religious groups for their beliefs.

Traditional Catholics liable to become violent, according to the FBI, are those that disagree with the Vatican II and the translation of Mass from Latin.

“If you’re really hacked off that the Mass isn’t in Latin, I don’t target a congressman … I don’t know about you. I mean, I don’t understand,” said Beck.

To put a warning label on every traditional Catholic Christian is unheard of and is delving into dangerous territory.

“We are confusing crime with thoughts,” Beck said.

The Orwellian nature of categorizing thoughts and speech as crime is frightening.

“We are all living under the same rights, and when there is a breach of those rights on anyone, it’s a breach on all of us,” said Beck. “When I was growing up, we used to say all the time, ‘Boy, I don’t agree with a word you said, but I’ll fight to the death for your right to say it.’”

How many of us would fight to the death to protect the free speech of those with whom we strongly, maybe nearly violently, disagree?

The answer is: not many.

For America to survive, we must revive that way of thinking before it’s too late.

New children's book 'Elephants Are Not Birds' is 'unapologetic rebuke' of transgender agenda

Woke children's books such as pro-transgender "I Am Jazz," race-baiting "Not My Idea: A Book About Whiteness," and "The GayBCs" have been all the rage among leftist teachers, parents, and schools.

But there's a new title in town that you can bet the woke set won't want anywhere near their tykes — but it very well may be just what more conservative adults prefer their kids set their eyes upon.

It's called "Elephants Are Not Birds" — and conservative activist author Ashley St. Clair calls it an "unapologetic rebuke" of the transgender agenda.

— Ashley St. Clair 🇺🇸 (@stclairashley) 1627159751.0

It's the first title from Brave Books, which the New York Post reported will focus exclusively on stories for kids and offer parents "a conservative alternative to the current cultural activism that our children are being taught in schools, in the entertainment they watch and the books they read," the publisher's website says.

More from the paper:

Company CEO Trent Talbot, who had his first child a little more than a year ago, conceived of Brave Books when, he said, he started to notice "that there is a real war going on for the hearts and minds of our kids. And everywhere I looked was propaganda," the Montgomery, Texas-based dad told The Post.

An ophthalmologist by trade, Talbot pointed to Ibram X. Kendi's picture book, "Antiracist Baby," which urges parents and kids to "make equity a reality," as content that needs a counterpoint.

"Once my eyes were open, I was seeing it everywhere, and I couldn't unsee it," Talbot told the Post. "I thought there was a need for books that could help parents teach the values they hold dear."

What is 'Elephants Are Not Birds' about?

The paper said "Elephants are Not Birds" is about an elephant named Kevin who likes to sing and then is convinced by a vulture — named Culture — that he actually must be a bird since he sings so well.

But despite Culture bestowing a beak and pair of wings upon Kevin, he just isn't able to do life as well by trying to be a bird, the Post noted.

"The book is an unapologetic rebuke of the transgender acceptance and the growing number of young people identifying as trans," St. Clair tweeted.

"You get special attention now in the classroom if you say, 'Hey, my name is not Billy, it's Amanda,'" the 22-year-old author told the paper. "I am going to have a little boy in November, and it's scary to think he could come home and say, 'My friends all identify as something else, and that's how I feel' and have my son crying because he's not put on hormone replacement therapy."

How are leftists reacting to the book?

As you might expect, leftists are popping blood vessels far and wide over "Elephants Are Not Birds" and doing their snarky best to rip it to shreds:

  • "This is BEYOND VILE!" Twitter user The Big Gay Al wrote about the book. "I assumed it was satire but it appears not."
  • Another commenter tweeted that the book is "hate speech" and "evil."
  • "How about we support and accept humans for who they are and want to be," another user noted.
  • "I was like, this has to be parody but then I scrolled down to see 'elephants are not birds' and I stopped thinking this was a parody. Smh," one commenter tweeted.
  • "Motherf***ers are going to have blood on their hands," another user declared.

Anything else?

"Elephants are Not Birds" is available only on the Brave Books website through an offer to parents of book per month for a $12.99 annual subscription, the Post said.

Other titles in the pipeline include, "The Island of Free Ice Cream" by conservative figure Jack Posobiec which will tackle communism, the paper noted, adding that Brave Books "is also courting Congressman Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas), to write 'Fame, Blame, and the Raft of Shame' about cancel culture."
