Video: Brazilian politician protests socialist by wearing blackface: 'Am I black now?'

A Brazilian state deputy put on blackface during a government proceeding in order to protest another member of the federal government.

Fabiana Bolsonaro, a state rep. of the São Paulo State Legislative Assembly, shocked attendees on Wednesday when she applied brown makeup not only to her face, but to her arms as well.

'I want precisely to show that it's useless to put on makeup.'

Now, lawmakers are now calling for the Liberal Party member's removal and have filed an ethics complaint against her, according to Brazilian outlet Folha de S. Paulo.

However, Bolsonaro made it clear during her speech that her reason for putting the makeup on was to protest another member of government. Bolsonaro was protesting the appointment of Erika Hilton as chair of the Chamber of Deputies' Women's Rights Committee because Hilton — born Felipe Santos Silva — is a male who believes he is a woman.

Santos Silva is a federal deputy from Brazil's Socialism and Liberty Party, which holds 14/513 seats in the Chamber of Deputies, equivalent to the U.S. House of Representatives.

During Bolsonaro's speech, the politician explained she was protesting the idea that one can become a woman simply by declaring so.

"I, being a white person who has lived everything that I lived as a white person, now at 32 years old, decide to put on makeup, to dress myself up as a black person, applying makeup and making only the outside appear [black]. ... Have I become black?" she asked, according to a translation.

"Am I black now?" she continued.

Bolsonaro put emphasis on the fact that she could not possibly have experienced what it is like to be black in Brazil simply by putting on makeup.

"I want precisely to show that it's useless to put on makeup. It's useless to pretend something," Bolsonaro added. "I say to you as a woman: I am a woman. It does no good to dress up as a woman. I am not offending any transsexual. Quite the contrary, I am saying that I am a woman."

The liberal also called out the accolades that Hilton has acquired since posing as woman, saying, "The Woman of the Year cannot be a transsexual. ... Someone took her place to put a transsexual there."

Hilton has been named as Woman of the Year by Marie Claire Brasil, celebrated as a model for Sao Paulo Fashion Week, and given the label of having won the most votes of any woman in Brazil by British Vogue in 2020.

Bolsonaro remained respectful in her comments, however, saying that "transsexuals must be respected," and claimed there is "an increase in the murder of transsexual people."

She concluded, "I don't want any trans person to go through prejudice, murder, or discrimination for being trans. But I also don't want any trans to take my place."

Bolsonaro, who is not related to former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, changed her name in 2022 ahead of elections in support of the president, GB News reported. Her former name was Fabiana Barroso. At the same time, she changed her racial classification from white to mixed-race, the outlet stated.

Since the remarks last week, Hilton has requested electoral authorities to investigate Bolsonaro's change of racial identification, based on Brazilian regulations introduced in 2021 that increased public funding for candidates who are black or female.

'Matrix' co-creator: 'Trans rage' drives my work

At 57 years old, writer Lilly Wachowski is still doing a lot of soul-searching.

Born Andrew, and one-half of the famous Wachowski Brothers, Wachowski and his older brother, Lana (60), born Laurence, are known for their iconic movie series "The Matrix."

Both claim to be transgender.

'As a trans person, the dark question that I had as a trans person was, "Who will ever love this?"'

Andy became Lilly in 2016, while Larry was four years ahead, becoming Lana in 2012. Since then, the duo have leaned into their new identities, going so far as to retroactively characterize "The Matrix" trilogy as a "trans metaphor" in 2020.

Freedom fried

During a recent interview on "So True with Caleb Hearon," Lilly Wachowski took another look back at his previous work and explained that he has a new perspective that helps him see how his work got him to where he is now, in relation to his gender status.

I look back on all of my previous work, and I see it because I'm looking at it from this higher place. It just creates this different perspective from this point of view up here, and I can see "Bound" — the first shot of the movie is a closet. And it's like, "Okay, it looks like we're going to be working on some stuff."

Noting that "The Matrix" was about "liberation and identity and, like, freedom," Wachowski then repeated a liberal trope about making art that can "will things into being that you need to see in the world," before further saying that his movies have also been about finding love, while also being subliminal instruments for transgender storytelling.

"A lot of the things that me and Lana were also writing about was love — that we needed to create stories that gave us a grounding to see that love was possible," Wachowski tried to explain. "As a trans person ... the dark question that I had as a trans person was, 'Who will ever love this?' ... And it gave us this reminder that there was a future for us."

Mad for it

Wachowski also noted another powerful source of creativity his new identity has given him: "trans rage."

In 2017, he and a partner began working on a trans-themed screenplay — a process he described as "purging all this rage and horror out of the world and onto this page."

After a few years executive producing the Showtime series "Work in Progress" — a vehicle for comedian and self-described "masculine queer dyke" Abby McEnany — Wachowski returned to the script in 2021, finding "catharsis" in responding to a world he found had become "way s**ttier for trans people."

Wachowski channeled some of his rage into "creating caricature[d] buffoons of the right wing." He also used it to inspire a vision of "an idealized family, a network, a Weather Underground of trans people coming together and supporting each other and holding each other up, trying to create a story that is the best of us."

Flip-flop

Wachowski's new creative direction hasn't been great for the bottom line.

A fourth installment of the beloved Keanu Reeves saga, "The Matrix Resurrections," flopped when released in December 2021, making only about $38 million on a $190 million budget.

That's less than a third of the $139 million its predecessor, "The Matrix Revolutions," pulled in 2004 — and a far cry from 2003's "The Matrix Reloaded," which took in over $280 million.

The first "Matrix" made $171 million in 1999.

Australia's first female prime minister ridiculed after calling 'what is a woman?' a 'gotcha' question, struggling for over 4 minutes to answer it

During an event Friday concerning "women's advancement," Australia's first female prime minister was confronted with what proved to be a difficult question, namely, "What is a woman?"

Julia Gillard's tortured four-minute response, wherein she managed to avoid ever mentioning those immutable characteristics that distinguished her from all her predecessors, has prompted ridicule and contempt internationally.

Gillard, a Welsh-born lawyer, became Australian prime minister in June 2010. Facing an abysmal approval rating, her left-leaning Labor Party ousted her three years later, but not before she could issue her famous lecture about misogyny to her soon-to-be successor across the aisle, Tony Abbott.

The former prime minister joined Frances Adamson, the governor of South Australia, at Government House in Adelaide last week to discuss "the issues, challenges and opportunities facing Australian women."

At one point during the event, women's rights activist and comedian Biddy O'Loughlin asked a set of penetrating questions germane to the topic at hand: "What is a woman, and do you agree with Queensland's Attorney-General Minister for Women Shannon Fentiman that trans women are women and with UK's leader of the Labour Party Sir Keir Starmer that some women can have a penis?"

Gillard said she would be happy to answer, but prefaced her response by expressing concern that "this has turned into a kind of 'gotcha' parlor game."

Rather than partake in such a "game," Gillard suggested that it would be prudent instead to "come at this once again from first principles."

On the basis of first principles, Gillard concluded, "There are a number of people who genuinely believe that they are trapped in the wrong body, and they want to be recognized as the gender their mind and soul have always told them that they are — and that doesn't go one way. It goes both ways. You know, people who have transitioned from being men to being women and women who have transitioned to being men."

She added, "I think we've just got to say, like we'd want to show everybody else in the community love, inclusion, and respect, we should do that for each of those individuals."

Concerning what constitutes a "woman" in 2023, Gillard appeared willing to defer to transvestites, saying, "Transsexual women believe that part of that inclusion is referring to them the way they want to be referred to, using the pronouns that they want to have used about them. I would seek to do that in that circumstance."

Australia's first woman prime minister then intimated the controversy over whom is meant by "woman" is not "inherent in the discussion."

Genevieve Gluck, the co-founder of the feminist publication Reduxx, tweeted in response to the video of Gillard's response, "Even politicians are afraid of upsetting the very group of men that women are now expected to invite into our intimate spaces. Women are not a thought experiment - we can't defend what we can't define."

Australian politician Moira Deeming, an independent member of the Victorian Legislative Council, noted, "Tragically, it was our first female Prime Minister that presided over the erasure of sex based rights in Australia. Now she frames reasonable questions & complaints about the consequences, as petty bigotry."

The Spectator Australia reported that toward the end of Gillard's time at the helm of the nation, she oversaw the enactment of an amendment to the country's Sex Discrimination Act of 1984 which eliminated the definition of "woman," previously recognized to mean "a member of the female sex irrespective of age." The so-called Gillard amendments also erased the definition of "man" from the SDA.

Katherine Deves, writing for the Spectator, noted, "The Gillard amendments imposed the biggest game of wilful pretend imaginable on women and girls, now forced to suspend their reality and believe that a ‘penis-owner’ is a woman, because he says so."

Sky News host Rita Panahi blasted Gillard over her latest response, saying, "We've seen that question stump many gutless bureaucrats and politicians, but I never thought that Australia's first female prime minister, the first woman in the lodge as leader of this great nation, would be incapable of answering 'what is a woman?' but here we are."

"Around four minutes of idiotic waffle that shows where Australia’s ... first female prime minister stands on this most crucial issue," continued Panahi. "She stands firmly with the trans activists that have hijacked the left and modern feminism."

Pentagon memo reveals host of mutilations 'transgender' soldiers can undergo at taxpayers' expense; notes they can dodge deployments, receive indefinite physical fitness waivers

A Department of Defense memo has recently been brought to light that reveals the special treatment that transvestites are to receive from and in the U.S. military — an organization historically entrusted with maintaining a robust fighting force to win America's wars and protect U.S. national interests.

Transvestite privileges in the military have come a long way since President Joe Biden signed an executive order in January 2021 overturning the Trump administration's ban on the service of "transgender" individuals in the armed forces.

Now, service members who deny the reality of their biological sex will not only receive a host of sex-change and cosmetic surgeries at taxpayers' expense — if so desired — but can also receive exemptions from uniform and fitness standards as well sit out deployments.

These and other perks are detailed in a Feb. 1 document obtained by independent journalist Jordan Schachtel of the Dossier, entitled "Care of Service Members Who Identify as Transgender."

The "proponent" of this document appears to have been U.S. Army Colonel David R. Zinnante, commander of the Womack Army Medical Center.

The stated objectives of the document are to ensure uniform guidelines accommodate transvestites; ensure that transvestites seeking hormone injections or sex-change mutilations are tended to by clinicians "who are qualified to deliver safe healthcare that is culturally sensitive"; and to "emphasize appropriate communication with unit commanders."

America's gender-dysphoric warfighters must be provided "a safe and effective pathway to achieve lasting personal comfort with their gendered selves," according to the memo.

To ensure and maximize this personal comfort, the Pentagon will pay for transvestites' so-called care, including but not limited to, "speech/voice therapy, cross-sex hormone therapy, laser hair removal, voice feminization surgery, facial contouring, body contouring, breast/chest surgery (colloquially referred to as 'upper' surgery), and genital reassignment/confirmation surgery ('lower' surgery)."

In order to receive this "care," service members need to undergo psychological assessment.

Whereas mentally ill recruits, those found to be on medications, women with abnormal uterine bleeding, men with mangled genitals, those with chronic anxiety, those who have committed self-harm, and those who have met in the past with psychiatrists are routinely barred from joining the armed forces, it appears such prohibitions do not apply to those who claim to be "transgender," although transvestites still apparently have to "demonstrate evidence of resilience and adaptability in both military training and non-training environments" and undergo various evaluations.

The Biden White House has stated that "America is stronger, at home and around the world, when it is inclusive. ... The military is no exception."

One of the memo's appendices appears to suggest otherwise, noting that cross-sex hormone treatments have a number of deleterious effects, such as:

  • "High risk of adverse outcome with erythrocytosis";
  • "Moderate risk for liver dysfunction, coronary artery disease, cardiovascular disease, hypertension and breast or uterine cancer";
  • "Possible increased risk for irreversible infertility, low bone mineral density, increased insulin resistance and diabetes";
  • Increased risk of venous thromboembolic disease, gallstones, weight gain, and hypertriglyceridemia"; and
  • "Prolactinoma and hepatoxicity."

While National Security Council spokesman John Kirby and Democrats have suggested that recent Republican efforts to scrap LGBT programming and other woke initiatives in the military adversely impact combat readiness, the memo also acknowledges that transvestites are non-deployable when undergoing hormone therapies for anywhere from six to nine months and can be sidelined even longer by sex-change procedures.

The guidelines apply to active-duty service members currently assigned to and serving with the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Space Force, or Coast Guard "who receive their care at Womack Army Medical Center and affiliated health clinics."

A Feb. 22, 2018, Pentagon memo indicated that based on "the Department's best military judgment, the Department of Defense concludes that there are substantial risks associated with allowing the accession and retention of individuals with a history or diagnosis of gender dyphoria and require or have already undertake, a course of treatment to change their gender."

The memo, penned by then-Secretary of Defense James Mattis, added, "The Department also finds that exempting such persons from well-established mental health, physical health, and sex-based standards, which apply to all Service members, including transgender Service members without gender dysphoria, could undermine readiness, disrupt unit cohesion, and impose an unreasonable burden on the military that is not conducive to military effectiveness and lethality."

Anti-child-trafficker whose story is told in 'Sound of Freedom' explains that the trans agenda and Biden administration's border policies benefit pedophiles

Tim Ballard is the former Department of Homeland Security agent whose dogged pursuit of child traffickers across the globe is the subject of the massively successful new film "Sound of Freedom." In a recent interview, Ballard accounted for some of the reasons the radical left might appear so desperate to attack and denigrate the movie: It illustrates the consequences of the left's thinking and policies.

Ballard, joined by Jim Caviezel who plays him in the film, explained to the Daily Signal that wittingly or not, transgender activists and the Biden administration are both dressing the sacrificial altar whereon children may be victimized as a consequence of the policies they pursue.

When elaborating on a mission to save children in Ukraine from sex traffickers after the country's invasion by Russia, Ballard noted that his team locked into "this pedophile ring. Now, it's a frightening ring because it's a political party that was out of Holland. ... They were trying to legalize sex with children. They thought that a 3-year-old could consent to sex."

Ballard was referencing the pro-pedophile Dutch Party for Neighborly Love, Freedom, and Diversity in the Netherlands — a group he indicated has made explicit the woke left's social agenda in its platform.

Ballard said that some members of PNVD fled Holland after law enforcement finally came down on them, but were ultimately arrested in Ecuador.

— (@)

In advance of the Dutch politicians' arrest, Ballard noted that he had to "study their literature. This was a political platform. This was a political party. And what I started recognizing is, I named them the ... 'pedophile network doctrines.'"

According to Ballard, the so-called pedophile network doctrines — not strictly specific to the PNVD — are:

"Now, what am I seeing here?" said Ballard. "My stomach is getting sick as I'm reading this. I read this every day. It's the woke left agenda."

The child liberator clarified that he wasn't alleging that trans activists and the PNVD or other such pedophiles were "colluding or talking," but that "it doesn't matter. It's the same dark source. ... Pedophiles are sitting back right now, going, 'We've been pushing this agenda for decades and now we don't have to push any more because the left are taking care of it for us in America.' In America!"

For instance, Democrats in Washington state recently passed a law that reportedly enables individuals or youth/homeless shelters to avoid informing a child's parents or law enforcement of their whereabouts if a child is seeking — without parental consent — a sex change, a tracheal shave, a mastectomy, breast implants, an abortion, puberty blockers, or "assisted reproduction" services.

In another instance where the left has ostensibly advanced the cause of those "sitting back right now," California state Sen. Scott Wiener, who claimed that "the word groomer is categorically an anti-LGBTQ hate word," successfully pushed a law enabling judges to keep men who prey on grade-schoolers 10 years their junior, between the ages of 14 and 17, off sex-offender registries.

Ballard stressed that both transgender activists and pedophiles argue that children can consent to destructive and sexualizing acts.

This mentality, granted legitimacy by policy decisions and laws that enable children to "consent to having their bodies filled with a chemical that will destroy their reproductive system" and "ripping apart their genitalia," will lead to "what the pedophiles have been asking for for," said Ballard. "If you can consent to that, guess what: What's more fluid than gender? Age."

— (@)

Extra to the left's pursuit of greater social deregulation, Ballard suggested that its support for open borders has similarly fed the "economy of pedophilia."

The Daily Signal highlighted how, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, over 150,000 unaccompanied minors were encountered crossing the U.S.-Mexico border last fiscal year and over 91,000 have been intercepted crossing the border so far this fiscal year.

"Thousands of them ... are under 5 years old," said Ballard. "Why is a 3-year-old showing up at the border? ... Well, I can tell you why, because they show up with a name — the name of the sponsor that they're given by the trafficker."

"[The Department of Health and Human Services] gets the kids and they by law have to call the number. 'Hi, we have Jose Gonzalez, Mr. George Smith.' 'Yeah, yeah, that's my kid, whatever.' 'Okay,'" said Ballard, dramatizing a hypothetical conversation between a prospective predator and an unwitting facilitator at the HHS.

"They used to actually fly down and have to pick the kid up. Not any more. Our taxpayer dollars will then send the kid by plane or bus to this George, the sponsor; no background check, no DNA, nothing. And they deliver the kids. Our taxpayer dollars are literally — for the first time in American history — our taxpayer dollars are going to facilitate the last leg of a child-trafficking event," said Ballard.

"$14 million a day are landing in the pocket of smugglers and traffickers, thanks to the Biden-Harris border policy," continued Ballard. "The only compassionate policy is border enforcement — barriers, walls. Why? And the 'Sound of Freedom' talks about this. Because the walls and the barriers lead the children who are being hurt into that funnel of rescue. Trained women and men in uniform are there. Those kids want to go through the port of entry. ... Those kids pray for a wall. The wall will save their lives."

The child liberator noted that the Biden administration tore "it all down."

TheBlaze previously reported that leftist publications like Rolling Stone and the Guardian have desperately attacked "Sound of Freedom."

Rolling Stone ran a hit piece entitled, "'Sound of Freedom' Is a Superhero Movie for Dads With Brainworms," with the sub-headline, "The QAnon-tinged thriller about child-trafficking is designed to appeal to the conscience of a conspiracy-addled boomer."

Miles Klee, the Los Angeles-based culture writer responsible for the Rolling Stone article, accused the movie of "fomenting moral panic for years over this grossly exaggerated 'epidemic' of child sex-trafficking, much of it funneling people into conspiracist rabbit holes and QAnon communities."

Despite previously reporting on some of the trends detailed in the film, the Guardian referred to the film as "the QAnon-adjacent thriller seducing America."

Variety reported Sunday that the film had generated roughly $40 million after six days of release, ranking third on domestic box office charts despite playing at far fewer theaters than "Insidious" and "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny," which occupy the top two spots.
