Dems' behavior at Trump's speech means one thing: Coexistence is OFF the table

The ideological divide that separates conservatives and liberals has grown into a gaping chasm, especially since the Obama administration. It seems that our differences are nearly irreconcilable at this point.

Never was this more obvious than last week, when the nation watched President Donald Trump give his first address to Congress since his historic return to the White House. No matter what he said or who he honored, the Democrats sat in stony, seething silence (except Rep. Al Green (D-Texas), who yelled and shook his cane). There was nothing but glares from the left, even when a child with cancer was honored by the Secret Service. Many held signs of opposition; others wore pink to protest Trump’s attack on “women’s rights.”

On the other side of the audience, Republicans whooped, applauded, and stood as President Trump shared the victories of the administration and reiterated what’s still to come.

This is where we’re at.

Is reconciliation even on the table at this point?

In his recent op-ed, Steve Deace, BlazeTV host of the “Steve Deace Show,” argued that Democrats’ reaction to President Trump’s speech made one thing clear: “We can’t share a country with these people.”

Now he joins “Blaze News Tonight” host Jill Savage and Blaze Media senior politics editor and Washington correspondent Christopher Bedford to explain why he believes the only answer is to “defeat” the left.

“Why can’t we coexist with the left?” asks Jill.

“Well, number one: They won’t coexist with us,” says Deace, noting that it was the Obama administration specifically that ushered in the era of “everyone who disagrees with me is a racist, misogynist, xenophobic, homophobic bigot.”

The scary part is that “they’re sincere” when they call us these names. “It’s not just a labeling tactic,” says Deace.

“I didn't want to admit it myself, because it would mean that politics in America has become a zero-sum game, and the minute it becomes a zero-sum game, now you're talking about cold civil war kind of stuff,” he adds.

Sadly, “it’s very clear that we are there now.”

“I like to describe it as a worldview steel-cage match, where two worldviews enter and only one is coming out,” says Deace.

The Democrats, he explains, have adopted a worldview in which “ideology matters more than people.”

“Whenever you get to a point in any human endeavor where the ideology matters more than what's best for human people, you have a cult, and I think that's essentially what [Democrats] are now,” says Deace. “We cannot share a culture together.”

Christopher Bedford says that he has long had a feeling we would come to this point. It started back when ISIS was brutally murdering Christians and President Obama, at a Christian prayer breakfast, said something to the effect of “get off [your] high horse about gay rights and gay marriage.”

“That’s when I realized they hate us. They really do hate us. It’s not just dialogue. They want to destroy us … and this guy was supposed to be the great unifier; this was supposed to be someone who would bring us all together, who would heal the racial sins of America's past and make it a great place, and he did the opposite,” he says, noting that Obama at least had the charisma to take diametrically opposed groups and form them into “a workable political coalition.”

But once his term ended, “the lunatics [began running] the asylum.”

Deace agrees. “Without that external packaging … the deal basically they're offering the American people is: Unless you are a fan of "The View" or MSNBC, we've got nothing for you, literally nothing … and in fact, we not only offer you nothing, we hate your guts.”

When Dems refused to clap for THIS issue, they proved to the country they are NOT the party of the people

Democrats love to wave their “party of the people” banner, but their behavior during President Trump’s speech on Tuesday night proved to the nation that they are actually against the American people.

When President Trump broached the subject of lowering taxes, which are currently crushing taxpaying citizens, many of whom are struggling to keep food on the table, the Democrats donned deadpan faces and refused to stand or clap.

“The tax situation in this country has to change, because it is flat-out immoral and wrong and … just government theft,” says Pat Gray of “Pat Gray Unleashed.”

However, when President Trump brought up solutions, including eliminating taxes on tips, overtime pay, and Social Security, all of which would help American populations struggling the most to make ends meet, the Democrats, who claim to champion the least of us, sat in stony silence.

Pat can’t understand how they can be opposed to eliminating something like taxes on Social Security when it’s a double tax.

“If you tax Social Security, that itself was a tax that we already paid! So when you get just a tiny little portion of it back, you gotta be taxed on that again!” he exclaims.

The good news is that the nation got to see firsthand what these “pro-working-class” Democrats really value. It’s not the American people.

To hear Pat and the “Unleashed” panel’s humorous commentary on America’s egregious tax situation, watch the clip above.

New poll: Americans LOVED Trump's speech — Democrats in total shock

Democrats may be telling themselves that President Trump’s first address to Congress was a disaster, but that’s not what the polls are saying.

According to a CBS/YouGov poll, a whopping 76% of viewers approved of Trump’s speech.

“Speaking of the president, he just passed me a note while I’m standing here. He wanted me to hold this up. This is the poll that I cited, the CBS/YouGov poll that shows that 76% of those who watched the president’s speech last night approved of his speech,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said triumphantly.

“So it goes to my earlier point that I made in my monologue about how incredibly sad it is that we have a modern-day Democrat Party who is so severely out of touch with the American public,” Leavitt added.

The same poll revealed that 63% of viewers felt Trump spent a lot of time on issues they cared about, and 68% said the speech made them feel “hopeful.” Only 20% of overall respondents said that the speech made them feel “angry” or “worried.”

The majority of viewers also liked President Trump’s plan for Ukraine, immigration, wasteful spending, and tariffs, and 76% approved of his decision to remove Congressman Al Green of Texas (D) for interrupting the speech.

“A new era for America,” Jill Savage of “Blaze News Tonight” says. “That’s the vision that President Trump laid out in his historic address to Congress. It was filled with optimism and bold promises, and he painted a picture of a golden age ahead, one of prosperity and strength and renewed American leadership.”

Blaze News politics reporter Rebeka Zeljko couldn’t agree more.

“You saw all of the Republicans really united behind the president and cheering him on. Of course, you also saw the Democrats protesting pretty much every single thing that he possibly had to say, but that aside, the reception across America was extremely positive,” Zeljko tells Savage.

“The viewers that saw the speech last night overwhelmingly had positive things to say about the speech, and so to your point, I mean, it really feels like America is in this golden age,” she adds.

Top 3 moments that gave President Trump’s address a 75% approval rating

President Trump’s address to Congress on Tuesday was “one of the most profound, powerful speeches an American president has ever given,” says Liz Wheeler.

But that’s not just her opinion. The American people by and large concur. According to a CBS poll, the speech received a 75% approval rating.

“This is a mandate the likes of which we have never seen in the United States of America,” says Liz.

So what exactly made it so great?

Liz answers this question in her latest episode of “The Liz Wheeler Show,” outlining the three most powerful moments in President Trump’s first address since his historic return to the White House.

1. Allowing Democrats’ behavior to speak for itself.

One of the most powerful moments, says Liz, was when President Trump looked at the Democrats, whose faces were deadpan even when a child with cancer was honored, and said the following:

“There is absolutely nothing I can say to make them happy or to make them stand or smile or applaud. … I could find a cure to the most devastating disease, a disease that would wipe out entire nations, or announce the answers to the greatest economy in history, or the stoppage of crime to the lowest levels ever recorded, and these people sitting right here will not clap, will not stand, and certainly will not cheer.”

This was brilliant, says Liz, because it allowed “the Democrats’ behavior to speak for itself.”

Instead of calling them liars, communists, Marxists, or any other fitting derogatory name, “all he did was bring your attention to the Democrats’ behavior.” And every time they refused to clap or stand for universally good things, which occurred throughout the duration of the 90-minute speech, “our attention was brought back to the fact that these are bad people” without President Trump having to say it himself.

“The list of things the Democrats refused to applaud for last night … that is what sticks in the minds of the American people,” says Liz.

2. Exposing corruption through classic Trump humor.

Revisiting the list of wildly corrupt and ridiculous causes that received USAID funding was another stroke of brilliance, says Liz. Not only did it remind the American people that their tax dollars have been wasted on absurd causes, but it did so in a way that allowed Trump to use his comedic genius.

“$40 million to improve the social and economic inclusion of sedentary migrants. Nobody knows what that is. $8 million to promote LGBTQI+ in the African nation of Lesotho, which nobody has ever heard of. $60 million for indigenous peoples and Afro-Colombian empowerment in Central America. $60 million. $8 million for making mice transgender,” he said, as the audience (minus the Democrats) laughed.

Later, he brought up the corruption taking place in Social Security and again used his unique sense of humor.

“130,000 people according to the Social Security databases are aged over 160 years old. We have a healthier country than I thought, Bobby,” he said, glancing at RFK Jr. The crowd burst out laughing (minus the Democrats, of course).

3. Addressing America’s children.

One of the most powerful moments, Liz says, occurred when President Trump addressed America’s children, who have been indoctrinated by the left’s insidious gender ideology and carved up in labs, and said, “I want Congress to pass a bill permanently banning and criminalizing sex changes on children and forever ending the lie that any child is trapped in the wrong body. This is a big lie, and our message to every child in America is that you are perfect exactly the way God made you.”

“This is such a profoundly pro-life message from President Trump,” says Liz.

Why coexistence with the left is impossible

President Donald Trump’s MAGA Supreme speech to Congress on Tuesday made one thing clear. After a Democrat responded to the speech who promotes trans propaganda and MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace attacked a kid with brain cancer, it is clear: We can’t share a country with these people.

Another generation of my family was born last year, and I want to be able to tell them honestly that they can pursue their dreams in the greatest country on Earth. But that vision feels increasingly out of reach when much of our culture appears to sympathize more with a fired federal worker than with a girl who was raped and murdered by an illegal immigrant or with a young athlete harassed by a troubled boy in her sports team’s locker room or bathroom.

These people hate us. There’s no point in pandering to them, no point in negotiating, and no point in making concessions. Just defeat them.

Trump’s speech sharply underscored the real problem: If we can’t live peacefully with our neighbors and don’t trust our institutions, how can we maintain a country?

This issue goes far beyond theoretical debates in political science 101. Democrat women attended Trump’s speech dressed in all pink to promote so-called women’s rights, despite every Democrat in the U.S. Senate recently voting against protecting female athletes from transgender terrorism.

This absurd and unsustainable reality was a point we drove home to weak-kneed Iowa Republicans who were poised to block efforts to remove gender identity from Iowa’s civil rights protections. My show called out about 10 of them by name, exposing how their actions aligned more with the governor of Maine’s betrayal of girls than with the interests of Iowans. In less than 24 hours, a potentially close vote turned into a landslide victory.

If you agree with Democrats on their insanity, just be honest and switch sides. But never bow to people who will never vote for you, no matter how many woke boxes you check while keeping an “R” next to your name. The math is simple now, and it doesn’t matter if it makes you uncomfortable. This is Thunderdome: Two enter, one leaves. Which side are you on?

As bloody and terrible as it was, the European countries that fought each other in World War I had far more in common with each other than a Blaze News subscriber has with modern progressives. It’s not even close. Life in early 20th-century Berlin wasn’t much different from life in early 20th-century London. They shared similar values, the same ruling families intermarrying, and even the same DNA strands. Yet they still went to war. Meanwhile, a century later, modern blue-state Americans let politicians like Boston’s mayor offer empty thoughts and prayers for a lunatic who had to be shot by an off-duty police officer to stop him from stabbing innocent bystanders at a Chick-fil-A.

The cosmic gap between worldviews and the duties of citizenship in America has grown so vast that it’s hard to imagine so-called Americans — like the 45 U.S. senators who can’t figure out the difference between male and female — ever agreeing on enough to fight alongside us in a war. Our fundamentals aren’t just different; they’re in direct opposition. The debate over women’s sports is just the starting point for a much larger battle about the very nature of reality and whether we can continue to coexist.

Have we become existential enemies? Our opponents seem to think so. That’s why they constantly label us as racist, misogynistic, xenophobic, and homophobic bigots at every opportunity. Those are the kinds of accusations you throw when the time for compromise has passed and the only thing left is to fight for the best possible outcome. These people hate us. There’s no point in pandering to them, no point in negotiating, and no point in making concessions.

Just defeat them. No apologies, no remorse. Have some dignity and do what needs to be done, for the love of God and the future of your children. Take back this country — and do it now, before it’s too late.

Trump's speech forecasts a LASTING ‘golden age’ in America

Not too long ago, Americans across the country were losing hope for a better future. After Trump’s congressional address, it appears his presidency will be the one to change that.

“This new iteration of Donald Trump is America’s orator in chief. He can go seamlessly from uplifting the American spirit and including those among us who are small and may not be known or little boys who want to be police officers; he can go into making fun of his opposition right there,” Blaze Media D.C. correspondent Christopher Bedford tells Glenn Beck, Jill Savage, and Matthew Peterson of “Blaze News Tonight.”

“Tonight really clinches the deal of someone who came before us as an entertainer, became a great politician, and is now one of the great orators and statesmen, I think, on the world stage,” he added.

“The trajectory from American carnage to painting a picture of the golden age is Donald Trump’s trajectory,” Peterson agrees.

“This is part of the greatest comeback in American history,” he continues. “What we saw tonight was a litany of things that if you hadn’t been paying attention, that many people haven’t even heard of.”

Why? Because most of the mainstream media outlets aren’t addressing Donald Trump’s real plans — but last night, he did a beautiful job for them.

“What you had here was sort of him summarizing and bringing together all of the things that he has done, all of the themes, all of the rhetorical themes that are very important and purposeful, and pointing towards the future into one big, beautiful speech,” Peterson says.

Savage agrees.

"I just look at the fact that he said, ‘I was saved by God to make America great again,’ that he comes back to that, because I think that he truly believes that. And I think this is the difference between Trump 1.0 and Trump 2.0,” she explains.

“He now knows that there is an end to his life at some point in time. He now believes that he is still on this earth to make a difference while he still can, and I think that is such a powerful thing,” she adds.

Democrats protest while Trump makes dream come true for boy with brain cancer

President Donald Trump noted Tuesday in his first address to Congress in five years that "this is a time for big dreams and bold action." Trump demonstrated that he was neither speaking figuratively nor amenable to delay, making a number of Americans' dreams come true before the end of his speech.

After honoring fallen New York police officer Jonathan Diller and asking Congress to pass legislation mandating the death penalty for cop killers, Trump directed everyone's attention to Devarjaye "DJ" Daniel, a terminally ill Texas boy in the audience who has long aspired to join law enforcement.

"Joining us in the gallery tonight is a young man who truly loves our police," said Trump. "His name is DJ Daniel, he is 13 years old, and he has always dreamed of becoming a police officer."

In 2018, Daniel was diagnosed with brain and spine cancer. The Texan, then just 6 years old, was given five months to live. Daniel has undergone at least 13 brain surgeries and kept up the fight in the years since, defying all expectation.

Over the course of his battle with cancer, Daniel has been sworn in to hundreds of police departments across the country as an honorary officer.

Theodis Daniel told CBS News after his son was made an honorary Chicago police officer in 2023, "He had five months to live, and he's been fighting it, but these law enforcement ceremonies have been helping him out."

'You never know when God's going to call you home.'

Republicans and others erupted into thunderous applause as Theodis Daniel raised his son, dressed in a Houston Police Department uniform, above his head for all to see following Trump's introduction.

After noting Daniel has outlived his prognosis by six years, Trump said, "DJ has been sworn in as an honorary law enforcement officer, actually a number of times. The police love him. The police departments love him. And tonight, DJ, we are going to do you the biggest honor of them all."

"I am asking our new Secret Service director, Sean Curran, to officially make you an agent of the United States Secret Service," said Trump, prompting the boy's eyes to widen with surprise and the crowd to chant "DJ! DJ! DJ!"

U.S. Secret Service Director Sean Curran, among the agents who rushed to protect Trump during the July 2024 assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, handed Daniel a USSS badge.

After displaying his new badge to the misty-eyed audience, Daniel threw his arms around Curran — a hug that was reciprocated by the smiling director.

Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D) and most other Democrats remained seated. One of the only Democrats who expressed any modicum of support for Trump's gesture was reportedly New York Rep. Laura Gillen, who actually stood up to applaud Daniel's admission to the Secret Service.

Daniel said in a video shared by the White House, "I'm going to keep on going until my gas tanks run out, and that's when God calls you home. You never know when God's going to call you home."

Trump reads long list of ridiculous federal programs found by DOGE during congressional address

President Donald Trump applauded the work of Elon Musk to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse during his speech at a joint meeting of Congress on Tuesday night.

The tech billionaire stood up during the speech and received much applause, mostly from Republicans. Trump read a long list of absurd programs that were found by the Department of Government Efficiency, which is led by Musk.

'We found hundreds of billions of fraud.'

"We'll be ending the flagrant waste of taxpayer dollars," said Trump to tremendous applause. "And to that end, I have created the brand-new Department of Government Efficiency, DOGE — perhaps you've heard of it, perhaps — which is headed by Elon Musk, who is in the gallery tonight!"

Republicans responded with loud applause, and Musk stood up and waved. Trump then joked that even Democrats appreciated Musk's efforts but didn't want to admit it.

"Just listen to some of the appalling waste we have already identified. $22 billion from [Health and Human Services] to provide free housing and cars for illegal aliens. $45 million for diversity, equity, and inclusion scholarships in Burma. $40 million to improve the social and economic inclusion of sedentary migrants — nobody knows what that is!" he joked.

"$8 million to promote LGBTQI+ in the African nation of Lesotho, which nobody has ever heard of," he joked. "$60 million for indigenous peoples and Afro-Colombian empowerment in central America, $60 million. $8 million for making mice transgender. This is real! $32 million for left-wing propaganda operation in Moldova," Trump continued.

— (@)

"$10 million for male circumcision in Mozambique. $20 million for the Arab 'Sesame Street' in the Middle East, it's a program, $20 million for a program. $1.9 billion to recently created Decarbonization of Homes Committee headed up — and we know she's involved; just at the last moment the money was passed over — by a woman named Stacey Abrams. Have you ever heard of her?" he asked to loud booing.

"A $3.5 million consulting contract for lavish fish monitoring. $1.5 million for voter confidence in Liberia. $14 million for social cohesion in Mali. $59 million for illegal alien hotel rooms in New York City," Trump added.

"Many more have been found out and exposed and swiftly terminated by a group of very intelligent, mostly young people headed up by Elon, and we appreciate it," he continued. "We found hundreds of billions of fraud."

Musk received another round of applause from the audience.

Trump went on to say that Musk had found examples of waste in the Social Security system, including millions of people who were far older than physically possible. The claim has been criticized by some who say it's a result of input errors in the coding system, not intentional fraud.

"We have a healthier country than I thought, Bobby!" joked Trump to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the head of the Department of Health and Human Services.

— (@)

He went on to promise to balance the budget and lower interest rates by rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse.

The actions taken by the DOGE to cut the size of government have been challenged by Democrats and other left-wing organizations in court.

The president's comments about the DOGE can be viewed on the news video from KMSP-TV on YouTube.
