'God made me transgender' trans activist claims after referring to God with female pronoun

During an appearance on MSNBC, transgender activist Charlotte Clymer used a female pronoun to refer to God and claimed that "God made me transgender."

"God made me in her image," said Clymer, who noted attending church each Sunday. "God made me transgender."

Clymer identifies as a transgender woman and as a lesbian. A transgender woman is a biological man who identifies as a woman.

During a message exchange with Tyler O'Neil of the Daily Signal, Clymer stood by the choice to refer to God using the pronoun: "God is all and everything. I don't think it's the least bit wrong to refer to God as 'Her,'" Clymer wrote, according to a screenshot O'Neil posted on Twitter.

President Joe Biden on Thursday proclaimed March 31, 2023 "Transgender Day of Visibility" — he had previously issued proclamations in 2021and 2022 as well.

"Transgender Day of Visibility celebrates the joy, strength, and absolute courage of some of the bravest people I know — people who have too often had to put their jobs, relationships, and lives on the line just to be their true selves. Today, we show millions of transgender and nonbinary Americans that we see them, they belong, and they should be treated with dignity and respect," the proclamation reads in part.
