Man accused of strangling his parents to death for 'blood money' may have dug his own grave in bone-chilling TV confession

A New York man made a bone-chilling on-air television confession to killing his parents and burying them in their backyard.

Last month, 53-year-old Lorenz Kraus reportedly emailed a two-page statement to news outlets regarding a shocking admission.

'After he died, my mother put her head on his chest — and she was there for a few hours, then I finished her.'

Stone Grissom, WRGB-TV's news director, told the Times-Union that he promised Kraus to publish his statement on WRGB's news site if he came to the station for an interview.

"I called him to verify who he was," Grissom said. "On the phone, he told me he buried his parents in his yard. When I asked if he killed them, he said, 'I plead the Fifth.'"

Kraus reportedly arrived at the news station within an hour.

Grissom admitted there were major concerns of "inviting someone suspected of a double murder into our station."

Grissom noted that he personally frisked Kraus upon his arrival and that a plainclothes police officer was in the news station's secured front lobby.

Greg Floyd — a broadcaster since 1979 — had only 10 minutes to prepare for the eyebrow-raising interview.

During the jarring 31-minute sit-down, Kraus described the deaths of his aging parents as mercy killings to stop their suffering from multiple maladies.

Floyd asked Kraus, "So did you kill your parents as a mercy killing to put them out of their misery?"

Kraus avoided the question.

'What was I supposed to do with this money?'

After Floyd pressed Kraus about what he did to his parents, Kraus responded, "I buried them in their property."

Kraus said his parents died around August 2017.

Floyd asked Kraus if his parents asked him to take their lives, and Kraus responded, "Implicitly, but not explicitly."

Kraus added during the interview, "I did my duty to my parents. My concern for their misery was paramount."

Kraus did not mention if his parents had terminal illnesses.

In the stunning on-camera confession, Floyd pushed Kraus on whether he murdered his parents — 92-year-old Franz Kraus and 83-year-old Theresia Kraus.

Floyd — a six-time Emmy award-winning broadcaster — asked Kraus, "They knew that this was it for them, that they were perishing at your hand?"

Kraus replied, "Yes. And it was so quick."

Kraus said he was "shocked" at how his father "died surprisingly quickly."

Kraus confessed he strangled his parents to death. He admitted that he killed his father first by strangling him with his hands.

"After he died, my mother put her head on his chest — and she was there for a few hours, then I finished her," Kraus stated.

Kraus confessed that he killed his mother by strangling her with a rope.

When asked what was going through his head as he killed his parents, Kraus said, "Not thoughts — action, make sure it's done, not fool around, not make a mistake. But you know, the police would say what an incompetent idiot I am."

Kraus said it took him two or three days to decide to bury his parents in the backyard of their property in Albany.

Kraus also is accused of stealing his parents' Social Security payments after they died.

Floyd asked Kraus if he knew there were financial benefits to killing his parents.

Kraus claimed the "government is pissed because I took the Social Security money and gave it to people in the Philippines."

Kraus said his parents' murders were "not a kill-for-money case."

Floyd fired back, "Some would call that blood money."

Kraus responded, "What was I supposed to do with this money?"

Video posted online by WRGB shows police arresting Kraus in the station's parking lot on Sept. 25, just moments after he left the television studio.

Albany County District Attorney Lee C. Kindlon on Monday announced that Kraus has been charged with murder in the first degree, two counts of murder in the second degree, two counts of concealment of a human corpse, grand larceny in the second degree, and identity theft in the first degree.

'Cadaver dogs picked up on a scent, and a subsequent excavation in the backyard turned up the couple’s bodies.'

A public defender entered a not guilty plea during a Monday court appearance.

Kraus is being detained without bail at the Albany County Correctional Facility.

Floyd interviewed Kraus a second time from jail. However, Kraus' public defender allegedly shut down the interview.

According to Floyd, after six or seven questions, the public defender said, "That's it, you're walking out of here right now."

The Associated Press reported that Albany County Assistant Public Defender Rebekah Sokol — who represented Kraus at a hearing last Friday — said she would be investigating how the interview came about because "if the media was essentially an agent of police in this matter, that could raise questions about whether (Kraus') comments in the interview would be legally admissible at trial."

Kraus' parents were never reported missing, and soon "federal agents started investigating suspicious Social Security payments in their names," WJLA-TV reported.

The indictment accused Kraus of assuming the identity of his father and stealing funds from the family’s estate "in excess of $50,000" sometime between Aug. 30, 2017, and May 27, 2025.

On Sept. 23, 2025, "Cadaver dogs picked up on a scent, and a subsequent excavation in the backyard turned up the couple’s bodies," Albany authorities stated.

Kraus is scheduled to return to court Oct. 28, WRGB reported.

Sinister sextortion scheme targeting 'potentially several hundred' victims is exposed — along with shocking suspect

A diabolical sextortion scheme targeting "potentially several hundred" victims has been exposed, according to law enforcement in New York.

The months-long investigation began in February and focused on the Fieldstone Middle School, which is located in the Haverstraw hamlet of Thiells — just a little over 10 miles north of the New Jersey border and about an hour north of Yonkers.

'Please encourage your children to come forward because there is certainly no shame in coming forward and bringing this to a trusted adult, so please let us know, let a trusted adult know.'

Law enforcement said several alleged victims came forward to report the appalling allegations to school administrators.

The Stony Point Police Department said in a statement, "The investigation was launched after victims at Fieldstone Middle School reported to their school resource officer and school administrators that they were being coerced online."

Police said "approximately six victims have come forward" but noted that investigators "have reason to believe there are potentially several hundred additional victims who may not yet have reported their experiences."

Police said the alleged victims — males under the age of 16 — communicated with someone online who claimed to be a female, according to the New York Post.

"They were requested for pictures, videos of themselves, to be sent, and then they were requested that if they didn't [send] more that the pictures and videos would be sent to their friend groups," Det. Andrew Kryger of the Stony Point Police Department told WABC-TV.

What's more, the news outlet reported that the "female" is actually a male who demanded payment in the form of gift cards for "typically less than $100."

The alleged suspect of the sinister sextortion scam was out of the country when authorities identified him, but he recently returned to the U.S. — to attend Fieldstone Middle School in the fall, WABC reported.

The suspect — who was not identified because he's underage — was charged with use of a child in a sexual performance, promoting a sexual performance by a child, and possessing a sexual performance by a child. All the charges are felonies.

"This case highlights both the serious dangers our children face online and the extraordinary bravery of students who came forward," the Stony Point Police Department stated. "This crime is extremely serious and involves the victimization of students within our community."

The Stony Point Police Department added that "police officials stress that sextortion is not only a local issue, but a global problem fueled by social media. Many parents may be unaware of the extent of these dangers. It is essential to create safe, judgment-free environments where children feel comfortable reporting concerns."

The Stony Point Police Department, the Haverstraw Police Department, and the North Rockland School District plan to host a forum to provide parents and students with "resources on sextortion awareness."

North Rockland Central School District Superintendent Kris Felicello advised parents, "Please encourage your children to come forward because there is certainly no shame in coming forward and bringing this to a trusted adult, so please let us know, let a trusted adult know."

Police are urging anyone with information on this case to contact Det. Kryger at 845-786-2422.

Mystery in Montauk: 33-year-old bikini brand entrepreneur found dead on boat at luxury yacht club, police say

An up-and-coming fashion brand founder was discovered dead on board a boat at a luxury yacht club on Long Island, according to police.

Martha Nolan-O'Slatarra — a 33-year-old fashion entrepreneur from Manhattan — was found dead around midnight on Tuesday aboard a boat named "Ripple" docked at the Montauk Yacht Club, police said. The Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives have launched an investigation into the alarming death.

'There's going to be a lot of conversation out of this.'

The Suffolk County Police Department said in a statement, "East Hampton Town Police responded to a 911 call from a man reporting a woman unconscious on a boat docked at the Montauk Yacht Club, on Star Island Road, at approximately 12 a.m."

Police noted that "Good Samaritans" attempted to perform CPR on the woman, but it was unsuccessful. Nolan-O'Slatarra was pronounced dead on the boat by first responders.

The Suffolk County Police Department stated, "The preliminary investigation and exam were inconclusive regarding the cause of death, which will be determined by an autopsy conducted by the Suffolk County Medical Examiner's Office."

Adding to the mystery of Nolan-O'Slatarra's death, crime scene investigators and a van from the Suffolk County Crime Laboratory reportedly remained at the Montauk Yacht Club until after 9 p.m. on Tuesday.

However, the Suffolk County Police Department said on Wednesday that the woman's body "did not show evidence of violence," according to the New York Post.

An unidentified member of the Montauk Yacht Club told the New York Post that other members and captains heard screaming from the docks late Monday night.

"She was well-known in the community. She was very friendly. Always smiling," the member said. "There's going to be a lot of conversation out of this."

A spokesperson for Montauk Yacht Club told Fox News, "We are saddened to learn of the incident that took place. Our team is cooperating with law enforcement in their ongoing investigation and remains committed to the safety and well-being of our guests and staff. We have no further comment at this time."

The clothing entrepreneur — who went by the name Martha Nolan professionally and in social circles — was a founder of her fashion brand East x East, according to her LinkedIn.

The East x East website states: "Our sustainable resort wear brand was founded on the belief that fashion should not come at the expense of our planet. Our founders, natives of New York City and The Hamptons, were inspired to create a line of stylish and sustainable sunglasses, swimwear, and resort wear for men and women."

Nolan-O'Slatarra's East x East partner wrote a heartbreaking tribute to her on Instagram.

"We dreamed big together, laughed harder than anyone else could understand, and built so much from nothing,” Dylan Grace said. "I'm truly blessed and grateful to have had you in my life. Love you so much Mar. Fly high girl."

In a February 2024 interview with the Irish Independent, Nolan-O'Slatarra talked about moving from Ireland to the United States.

"Carlow is a small town. I was the small-town girl who needed to get out to achieve her big dreams," Nolan-O'Slatarra stated. "I always knew I wanted to be successful, that I was money-driven, business-driven — and that fashion is a tough industry and it would be a slow road."

Anyone with information regarding the concerning death is urged to contact Suffolk County Police Department Homicide Squad detectives at 631-852-6392.

Chaos erupts at illicit 'fight club': Shots fired, teens injured, 13 arrested at brawl

Chaos erupted at an illegal "fight club" in New York, which resulted in teens being shot and 13 people arrested, police stated.

Officers from the Suffolk County Police Department's Seventh Precinct responded to a report of possible gunshots fired around 6 p.m. Sunday at the Brookhaven Aquatic Center parking lot in the hamlet of Shirley in Long Island.

'An example needs to be set.'

Once police officers arrived, they discovered that a "scuffle had broken out among several people who were attending an unauthorized fight club event," the Suffolk County Police Department told Blaze News.

The Suffolk County Police Department said one of the participants in the alleged fight club "brandished and discharged a blank-firing gun during the scuffle, which injured a 17-year-old male and a 19-year-old male."

The two teens were rushed to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Suffolk Police Chief of Detectives William Doherty noted to WABC-TV that "the gun was designed to fire blanks. It wasn't a firearm that expelled the projectile, but the blanks were fired close enough to two individuals to injure them."

Detectives with the Suffolk County Police Department charged 25-year-old Devine Brown of Mastic Beach with assault in the second degree, menacing in the second degree, prohibitive use of a weapon, and unlawful assembly. Brown was held at the Sixth Precinct jail.

The other 12 suspects, all from Suffolk County, were arrested and charged with unlawful assembly and were issued field or desk appearance tickets. They include:

  • Jehsiah Williams, 23, of Mastic
  • Devin Black, 20, of Mastic Beach
  • Tariq Nix, 20, of Mastic
  • Alejandro Hightower, 20, of Holbrook
  • Malachi Leftenant, 19, of Shirley
  • Honest Thompson, 19, of Middle Island
  • Jason Alvarez, 18, of Riverhead
  • Henry Thompson, 18, of Moriches
  • Lorenzo Whyte, 18, of Shirley
  • Kyron Deer, 18, of Coram
  • Thomas Zuzierla, 18, of Mastic
  • A 16-year-old boy; police did not name him because of his age

Brookhaven Town Supervisor Dan Panico told News 12 Long Island that he's seeking tougher laws to penalize those who profit from criminal activity.

"An example needs to be set because the good people of Mastic, Shirley, Mastic Beach, and elsewhere have had it with all this stupidity," Panico stated.

The investigation into the alleged fight club incident is ongoing. Detectives with the Suffolk County Police Department are urging anyone with information on the incident to contact the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752.

This is actually the second time an unauthorized "fight club" was recently exposed in Suffolk County.

Last month, approximately 70 people attended an illegal "fight club" at Walt Whitman Park in Melville, according to Newsday.

Police said they were tipped off about the brawl at the park after the melee was publicized on Instagram.

The spectators watching the rumble — mostly young adults in their early 20s — scattered when cops arrived. However, police arrested two combatants.

Finley McCloskey and Jake Zimilies — both 19-year-old Northport residents — were issued appearance tickets and charged with unlawful assembly, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.

Police noted that the Instagram account that promoted the "fight club" was deactivated after the bust.

The premise of a "fight club" was first popularized by the 1996 novel “Fight Club” by Chuck Palahniuk, which was based on his own experiences participating in secret brawl rings.

The book was adapted into the 1999 Oscar-nominated movie of the same name, which starred Edward Norton and Brad Pitt.

The most popular quote from the "Fight Club" film is regarding the secrecy of the underground fight club: "Gentlemen, welcome to Fight Club. The first rule of Fight Club is: You do not talk about Fight Club. The second rule of Fight Club is: You DO NOT talk about Fight Club!"

8 arrested on rape, sex trafficking charges in case of 14-year-old girl suffering '25 days of hell'

Authorities in New York announced the arrest of eight people allegedly involved with the kidnapping and sex trafficking of a Long Island teen girl who went missing for 25 days.

On Dec. 9, a 14-year-old girl went missing from her home in East Patchogue.

'It was a gift from God. I can't describe the feeling I had when I grabbed her.'

The girl's father allegedly found his daughter on a boat docked in Islip on Jan. 3.

Suffolk County police confirmed to People magazine that the teenager was found on that date but did not reveal the details of where and how she was discovered.

The New York Post reported that 52-year-old Jacquelyn Comiskey is accused of transporting the girl to the home of Bunice Knight in exchange for crack cocaine.

Another suspect, 34-year-old Elizabeth Hunter, is linked to the allegations of abuse of the teen, according to court documents.

Newsday reported that "Hunter is accused of spending a week in December with the teen on the boat, where she is alleged to have taken nude and sexually explicit photographs of the girl that she used to advertise the teen for sex in exchange for drugs and money, prosecutors said at her arraignment."

Comiskey and Hunter both were charged Tuesday with sex trafficking and endangering the welfare of a child. Both women have pleaded not guilty.

Hunter also was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child and endangering the welfare of a child. She pleaded not guilty.

District Court Judge Evan Tanenbaum set bond for Hunter and Comiskey at $1.5 million. They remain in custody at the Suffolk County Jail.

The missing teen allegedly was found aboard Francis Buckheit's 56-foot boat, which reportedly was docked at an Islip marina.

Buckheit was arrested Jan. 3 and hit with charges of kidnapping, rape, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Just 10 days later, Bunice Knight was arrested and charged with a count of rape and three counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance.

Three other men were arrested and charged in the case: 63-year-old Alton Harrell, who was arrested Jan. 17, and 63-year-old Daniel Burke and 63-year-old Robert Eccleston, both of whom were arrested Jan. 24.

Harrell, Burke, and Eccleston all were charged with kidnapping, rape, and endangering the welfare of a child. All three have pleaded not guilty.

On Wednesday, an eighth suspect was arrested in connection with the missing Long Island teen.

Kevin McDonald, a 20-year-old man from Medford, has been charged with second-degree rape and endangering the welfare of a child.

Prosecutors accused McDonald of raping the teen inside a car on Dec. 10, then dropping her off at a hotel in Bohemia.

McDonald pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in Suffolk County District Court.

Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney said, "I thank God that this child is now safe, but we’re going to certainly look into the circumstances behind how she went missing and the responsible parties."

The girl's father told News 12 Long Island that "it was 25 days of hell" before his daughter was "alive in my arms. It was a gift from God. I can't describe the feeling I had when I grabbed her."

New York woman carjacked, kidnapped, and brutally beaten by couple over disagreement about 10 cents: 'A ride from hell'

New York police say a woman was kidnapped, carjacked, and brutally beaten by two assailants before she was able to escape the harrowing ordeal.

'She’s holding down my head as she’s just repeatedly beating me and telling me I'm going to die tonight.'

Allison Smith told WHAM-TV about the Sept. 13 incident that put her in the hospital.

The 29-year-old says she was cashing out at the Four Guys deli in Rochester when a woman offered to cover her tab and gave her a five dollar bill. Smith only needed 10 cents, so she gave the woman $4.90 back and promised to go to her car to get a dollar. That's when the woman became visibly upset.

"I said, 'No problem, I’m going to go across the street and grab it from my car, then I don’t want any issues,'" said Smith.

Instead, the man and woman threatened her with a gun and got into her car. They forced Smith to drive them around the city and even picked up another woman whom they referred to as "wifey."

Smith said they began to beat her brutally and at one point shoved a broken pipe into her mouth, which bloodied her lips.

"She’s holding down my head as she’s just repeatedly beating me and telling me I'm going to die tonight," the woman said.

The woman took a chance to save her life and fought back.

"Whoever’s arm is on me, I bite down as hard as I could, and there was a small release," Smith said. "And then I ducked and just ran."

She made her way to a convenience store, where someone called police for her.

Rochester Police Captain Greg Bello told WHAM that someone driving Smith's stolen car led police on a chase the next day before hitting a curb. A group of people rushed out of the car, but police were able to arrest one suspect.

20-year-old Shawntae Hall was arrested and charged with assault, robbery, unlawful imprisonment, and multiple counts of grand larceny but was released and failed to appear in court. Police issued a warrant for her arrest.

Smith's father told WHAM that his daughter was unrecognizable in the emergency room from the brutal beating she suffered.

"I want to see people protected," Shane Smith said. "I mean, this could happen to anyone."'

The interview with the victim can be viewed on the news video report from WHAM on YouTube.

Two friends go out partying at night, then handyman makes grisly discovery when asked to clean up a mess the next morning

Defense attorney Colin Astarita told reporters he believes his client, 43-year-old Jeremy Allen, is a longtime acquaintance of 43-year-old Christopher Hahn. Astarita said the pair had been back in touch with each other only recently, according to Newsday.

On Friday night, the two allegedly went drinking together at a bar after first planning to attend a 12-step meeting together.

'The video is brutal and heinous to watch.'

"The two of them became very intoxicated," Astarita said. "At some point, there was an altercation that grew more violent."

On Saturday morning, Allen reportedly texted his handyman and asked him to help clean up his house on Long Island.

While the handyman was on the property, Allen's dog pulled at a tarp on the back patio revealing the feet of a lifeless body.

When the handyman saw the body, Allen allegedly told the handyman, "Now you can’t leave. Now you have to help clean up the house."

Suffolk County Assistant District Attorney Elena Tomaro told Southampton Town Justice Adam Grossman during the hearing, "The handyman left the house in the quiet Oakville Estates neighborhood south of Sunrise Highway, saying he needed to get bleach."

Instead of getting bleach, the handyman called the police.

Beginning at midnight, Tomaro said Allen beat Hahn with a baseball bat for as long as six hours before he pulled out “a large knife” and stabbed his friend “in the head and neck.”

Prosecutors said Allen dragged Hahn's "defenseless and helpless body" onto the patio.

Allen's own home surveillance system reportedly caught Hahn's beating and stabbing death that Allen allegedly carried out.

"The video is brutal and heinous to watch," Tomaro said.

Southampton Town police responded to Allen’s house at 9:52 a.m. Saturday after receiving a 911 call from the handyman.

Hahn was pronounced dead at the crime scene.

Allen reportedly was arrested about an hour after Hahn's body was found.

Allen pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder and tampering with physical evidence in connection with Hahn's death.

In addition, Allen was arrested in May when he tried to buy a shotgun; he was unable to do so because of prior criminal convictions.

"That [effort] was thwarted by the employees of Dick’s Sporting Goods," Tomaro stated.

What's more, Allen has a pending rape case in Southampton Court involving a child under 15 years old, Tomaro said according to Newsday.

Allen reportedly had DWI offenses in 2007 and is currently on probation for a 2022 drunken-driving conviction in Ulster County, according to the prosecutor.

Astarita said he believes Hahn "injected himself into" the life of Allen, hinting that Allen may have a self-defense claim.

"He was in his own home," Astarita said, although admitting that he isn't sure of what caused the altercation between the two men.

New York man arrested by arson bomb squad for giving 11-year-old son fireworks that set houses on fire

A New York man was arrested by an arson bomb squad for giving his 11-year-old son a firework that set two houses on fire, according to authorities.

According to a press release from the Nassau County Police Department, officers responded around 8:50 a.m. on the 4th of July to reports of a house fire in Levittown, New York.

Police determined that a 33-year-old father gave his 11-year-old son a firework and instructed him to light it. The explosive allegedly malfunctioned and soared into a nearby shed, which caused it to go up in flames.

The blaze in Long Island quickly spread to the defendant's home and then to a neighbor's house.

A single mother renting part of the first home to catch fire was reportedly forced to flee for her life from the burning house.

The Wantagh Fire Department responded and was able to extinguish the fires. However, both homes suffered extensive damage. No injuries were reported.

The Nassau County’s Arson Bomb Squad was also called to the scene and arrested Karamjit Singh without incident.

Singh was charged with second-degree arson, fourth-degree reckless endangerment, unlawfully selling of fireworks to someone under 18, unlawfully possessing fireworks, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Singh was released from jail without bail on Friday after pleading not guilty at his arraignment.

Singh's son was allegedly released to a family member.

Nassau County Fire Marshals launched an investigation into the fiery fireworks accident.

In nearby Suffolk County, a 21-year-old man reportedly severed three fingers on his left hand, damaged two fingers, and suffered burns on his leg in a fireworks accident on July 4th.

A 66-year-old Long Island man from Brentwood lost a hand and several fingers of his second hand after a fireworks explosion on Saturday night, according to WNBC.

As Blaze News previously reported, a South Carolina man was killed after putting a lit firework on top of his head while "showboating" during a 4th of July neighborhood block party. Video caught the last moments of the 41-year-old man's life as he was dancing in an Uncle Sam costume before his tragic, sudden death.

Blaze News also reported on a fatal fireworks accident on Independence Day in Tennessee. A 35-year-old man suffered a large chest wound and died after a firework exploded in his hands.

Long Island volleyball coach accused of raping girl, 15, commits suicide by train hours after appearing in court: Police

A New York high school volleyball coach accused of raping a 15-year-old girl committed suicide by train hours after making his first appearance in court for the alleged child sex crimes, according to police.

Jason Maser, 22, had been a volleyball coach at Sacred Heart Academy — an all-girls Catholic school in Hempstead, New York. Maser was also a coach at B&B Volleyball — a club team based in Long Island.

Maser's alleged victim played on both teams.

Maser was fired from Sacred Heart Academy and B&B Volleyball after the rape allegations.

According to the New York Daily News, B&B Volleyball informed parents it had learned of an "inappropriate sexual relationship between an adult who coached for B&B Volleyball and one of our players."

Sacred Heart officials said they contacted authorities “immediately” after finding out about the accusations.

Special Victims Squad officers arrested Maser at his home in Syosset on Thursday. He was charged with two counts of third-degree rape and two counts of criminal sex act in addition to endangering the welfare of a child, according to the criminal complaint.

Police accused Maser of raping a 15-year-old girl at least twice inside his Jeep in Albertson on Feb. 7 and March 7, according to the complaint.

The former part-time coach at Sacred Heart Academy made his first court appearance regarding the allegations on Friday afternoon in Hempstead.

Maser pleaded not guilty to the charges. He posted $75,000 bail and was released.

Judge Marie F. McCormack ordered Maser to stay away from the alleged victim.

Maser reportedly killed himself hours after appearing in court.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority told 1010 WINS that Maser "intentionally" stepped in front of Long Island Rail Road train #1573 at the Woodbury Road crossing in Syosset around 10:35 p.m. on Friday.

MTA police said Maser was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Nassau County Police Department identified the body as Maser.

MTA Police Department spokesperson Michael Cortez said Maser left a suicide note before allegedly committing suicide by train.

Maser’s lawyer, John Carman, said Maser's family is devastated by the sudden death.

Carman told Newsday over the weekend, "While they process what has occurred, they are concerned for the young woman involved."

Woman on motorized scooter suffers in-store meltdown, attacks 'white trash' state trooper, shrieks: 'Walmart is racist!'

Video of a woman on a motorized scooter suffering a meltdown at a Walmart in New York is going viral. The unhinged woman attacked a state trooper and screamed: "Walmart is racist!"

A woman erupted into a bizarre spectacle around 6:30 p.m. on Monday at a Walmart in Westchester County, New York. The video begins with the woman sitting on a motorized scooter as she shrieks at a New York state trooper.

She repeatedly dares the cop, "Drag me the f*** out!"

The situation escalates when the woman tosses a soda bottle and a bag of food at the police officer. She then gets up from her scooter and knocks off merchandise from the shelves near the cash registers.

When the officer attempts to restrain the deranged woman, she smacks the cop in the face, knocking off his eyeglasses. As the tussle continues, the woman slams a merchandise display to the ground. The state trooper and woman fall to the floor.

As the cop attempts to handcuff her, the woman crudely insults the officer by calling him "white trash" multiple times.

She screeches, "Take me to jail!"

The disturbed woman then incessantly howls at the top of her lungs: "Walmart is racist!"

As the wild scene unfolds, dozens of befuddled Walmart shoppers look on in disbelief. Many of the onlookers have their camera phones out to record the outlandish situation.

After the woman was restrained, police said the suspect was taken to a local hospital.

New York State Police told The National Desk that the woman was experiencing "a mental health issue." Police said the incident did not involve shoplifting.

Walmart did not offer a comment on the strange incident.
