Massachusetts offers illegal aliens free flights out of state as it tightens shelter stay limits

Massachusetts, the nation's only right-to-shelter state, is rolling out additional restrictions on its overflow shelters and offering illegal aliens free plane tickets to go elsewhere, according to a recent announcement from Governor Maura Healey's office.

Starting August 1, the administration will impose a five-day stay limit on its "temporary respite center[s]." This latest announcement comes just weeks after the state began sending out 90-day eviction notices to push some families to leave the state-run accommodations by September 29.

'A serious disconnect between Governor Healey and the actual conditions on the ground in Massachusetts.'

Currently, those residing in the state's overflow sites are subject to a 30-day stay limit with an option to reapply. After the new rules go into effect, individuals residing at the respite centers will have to wait six months or more to be placed in the state's emergency family shelter system.

According to Healey, there are currently 300 families residing in the state's overflow sites.

As part of Massachusetts' "reticketing" program, the state will cover the airfare and travel expenses for illegal aliens interested in leaving the state.

During a Tuesday press conference announcing the changes, Healey said, "I want to be clear, particularly to people outside of Massachusetts who may have gotten word that this is a place to come, that we do not have room here in Massachusetts."

"We've also offered them the alternative path that they may wish to go to family members or ones they know elsewhere, communities elsewhere in the country, and I think that is a humane and appropriate thing to do," she said.

Healey asserted that the five-day stay limit was "in line with the policies of other cities facing similar challenges as Massachusetts and will help give families some relief for a few days while they access the diversion services we can provide, such as reticketing."

Healey previously declared in November that the state's shelter system had reached capacity, supporting roughly 7,500 families. Since then, the administration has relied on temporary overflow sites to provide shelter to illegal immigrants on the waiting list for more stable accommodations.

As part of Healey's recent announcement, the administration claimed it is not seeking to open additional overflow sites to handle the influx of new illegal arrivals.

Those who become homeless because of a no-fault eviction or sudden emergencies, such as floods or fires, will be prioritized to receive shelter space. Families with infants, veterans, and those with significant medical conditions will also be considered first for accommodations.

Paul Craney of the Massachusetts Fiscal Alliance told Blaze News, "These are exactly the type of reforms that people have been asking her to make for months. That it took her this long to get to this point boggles the mind and points to a serious disconnect between Governor Healey and the actual conditions on the ground in Massachusetts. For the past months, the conversation has been all about the need to amend the state's right-to-shelter law. The fact that Governor Healey has felt she's had the power to unilaterally make these changes this whole time and chose to do nothing points to a serious lack of judgment on her part and should be investigated by the legislature."

Border Patrol sector told to release illegal aliens from most Eastern Hemisphere countries into US

Border Patrol agents in the San Diego sector were recently instructed to release illegal aliens from most Eastern Hemisphere countries into the interior of the United States, according to a memo first obtained by the Washington Examiner.

The internal communication stated that single adults from more than 100 countries in the Eastern Hemisphere who cross into the U.S. illegally through the San Diego sector are to be processed as "NTA/OR," or Notice to Appear/released on Own Recognizance. According to the memo, the individuals are from "hard or very hard to remove countries" that do not cooperate with the U.S.'s deportation efforts.

Illegal aliens from "mandatory referral countries," including Russia, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Moldova, and Kyrgyzstan, are not eligible to be released into the U.S. and request asylum, the memo read.

'This is gaslighting our fellow Americans.'

A senior Border Patrol official told Fox News' Bill Melugin that instruction to allow illegal immigrants from most Eastern Hemisphere countries into the interior of the U.S. was provided only to the San Diego Sector rather than the entire border. According to the official, the illegal aliens will still not be eligible to request asylum.

Department of Homeland Security officials told reporters on Friday that many Eastern Hemisphere countries will not cooperate with the U.S. to take back their citizens, making it difficult to deport the individuals, Fox News Digital reported. Officials stated that they are working with those countries to gain cooperation.

According to the memo, illegal aliens from the Western Hemisphere countries, including Cuba, Nicaragua, Haiti, and Venezuela, are classified as "easy to remove."

San Diego Sector Border Patrol agents received the memo shortly after President Joe Biden announced a new executive order that the administration claims would crack down on illegal entries amid the ongoing immigration crisis at the southern border. Biden's order would temporarily suspend unlawful border crossings after entries reach an average of over 2,500 per day over seven days. The order carves out numerous exceptions, including for unaccompanied minors, individuals judged to be "victims of severe forms of trafficking," people with medical emergencies, and those who schedule an appointment through the Customs and Border Protection's CBP One app.

On Sunday, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) told Fox News Digital that the administration's order will "actually attract and invite even more people to cross the border illegally."

"There's no slowing down of people crossing the border. In fact, it's just accelerating. This is gaslighting our fellow Americans. When Biden gets up and says, 'This is going to stop people from coming across the border,' when he says, 'It's going to secure the border,' in fact, it is making illegal border crossings worse," Abbott stated.

ICE arrests 38 illegal aliens, including convicted rapist and child sex offender

United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Enforcement and Removal Operations in Newark, New Jersey, conducted an approximately two-week-long operation that led to the apprehension of 38 illegal aliens, according to a Thursday press release from the federal immigration agency.

The operation, which spanned from April 15 to April 26, arrested “egregious criminal offenders” with prior convictions and/or pending charges.

'We will use the full force of our immigration authority.'

One of the detained individuals, a 36-year-old Honduran national, was previously “convicted of felony rape, false imprisonment, sex offense, and perverted practice,” ICE reported. That individual was removed from the country in 2017.

ICE also arrested a 27-year-old citizen of the Dominican Republic “who was convicted of felony endangering-sexual conduct with a child by non-caretaker.“

A detained Mexican national, 39, was previously removed from the U.S., convicted of prostitution and driving under the influence.

Other detained individuals included a 26-year-old Chilean national with a felony burglary conviction and a 46-year-old Columbian citizen accused of “money laundering, promoting gambling and conspiracy/promoting gambling.”

In response to the arrests, ERO Newark Field Office Director John Tsoukaris stated, “Those who enter our country illegally and break our laws should know that we will use the full force of our immigration authority to bring them to justice.”

“These individuals were placed in ERO custody and processed for removal proceedings under the Immigration and Nationality Act,” Tsoukaris noted.

ICE primarily focuses on detaining illegal immigrants who have committed additional crimes in addition to unlawfully entering the country.

“In fiscal year 2023, ERO arrested 73,822 noncitizens with criminal histories; this group had 290,178 associated charges and convictions with an average of four per individual. These included 33,209 assaults; 4,390 sex and sexual assaults; 7,520 weapons offenses; 1,713 charges or convictions for homicide; and 1,655 kidnapping offenses,” ICE reported.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office District of New Jersey announced Thursday the arrest of six Chilean nationals who were charged in connection with a burglary ring that targeted residences in multiple states, including New York and Maryland. According to a Department of Justice press release, the suspects stole jewelry, collectibles, and other goods.

The suspects were charged with “one count of conspiracy to sell and receive stolen property that had crossed state lines and one count of receiving stolen property that had crossed state lines.”

Tsoukaris said, “These arrests of a group of foreign-born individuals that engaged in interstate crime demonstrates how critical the cooperation between various law enforcement agencies continues to be.”

Foreign national breaches Air Force base while on the run from Border Patrol agents: Report

A Mexican national breached a United States Air Force base this month while on the run from Border Patrol agents, a spokesperson for Customs and Border Protection recently told the New York Post.

The suspect, a 17-year-old male, fled on foot after the vehicle he was a passenger in was pulled over by Border Patrol agents in Del Rio, Texas. According to authorities, the teenager hopped over a fence surrounding the Laughlin Air Force Base.

'Tracked by USBP canine teams.'

A press release from the base stated that an individual "breached" the property on May 23. The suspect was being pursued by Border Patrol agents "adjacent to the installation North gate who jumped the installation perimeter fence, entering Laughlin AFB."

"The person was tracked by USBP canine teams on base and was successfully apprehended" approximately an hour after breaching the base, according to the press release.

The Post reported that four adult males who were in the vehicle with the teenager were also taken into custody. Sources told the news outlet that all of those involved are believed to be in the country illegally.

"A cordon was established adjacent to base housing to ensure the safety of residents during the incident," the base stated.

This month, two Jordanian nationals attempted to breach the Quantico Marine Corps Base near Triangle, Virginia. Immigration and Customs Enforcement recently confirmed that the men are illegal immigrants.

Enforcement and Removal Operations Washington spokesperson James Covington stated, "Marine Corps Base authorities notified ERO Washington, D.C. of the apprehensions."

"Deportation officers from ERO Washington, D.C. responded and arrested both individuals without incident. Both individuals will remain in ERO custody pending removal proceedings," Covington added.

One of the men was apprehended in April after he crossed from Mexico into California illegally, but he was given a Notice to Appear and released into the country. The other male was in the U.S. on an expired student visa.

On Wednesday, Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) sent a letter to President Joe Biden demanding a full briefing regarding the attempted infiltration, Blaze News previously reported.

"I am deeply concerned about what appears to be a series of recent attempts to gain unauthorized access to United States military installations, including two in the Commonwealth of Virginia," Youngkin wrote. "The attempted breach at Quantico, and the federal government's silence on the immigration status of the individuals involved, reiterates the gravity of your failure to secure the southern border, and to provide state governments notice of illegal migrant relocations so I can protect the safety of all Virginians."

Massachusetts recreation center closed to house illegal aliens will reopen to public with upgrades after community uproar

A community center in one of Boston's poorest neighborhoods is slated to reopen soon after serving as a temporary shelter for illegal immigrants, according to a Fox News Digital report.

Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey's (D) office told the news outlet that the Melnea Cass recreation center in Roxbury will once again open its doors to the public on June 22.

Early this year, the administration announced that it was temporarily closing the state-owned community center to create additional shelter space for homeless long-time Massachusetts residents and newly arrived illegal immigrants. The temporary "safety-net" shelter housed approximately 100 families or 400 individuals on the state's waiting list.

'It’s very important to the community.'

The decision to shut down the recreation facility sparked outrage from the Roxbury community, some of whom came out to protest. In February, residents picketed outside the center, holding signs that read, "Our City Our Spaces," "Boston Is Full," and "Our Kids Come Last — Why?"

WHDH reported that another resident showed up to the protest with a sign that stated, "Why Roxbury? Try Wellesley!" referring to an affluent neighborhood in Boston.

Shawn Nelson, a resident who previously protested outside the facility, told WHDH, "They're talking about how we need to get the kids off the street, we need to give them programs because they're the future of us. ... Well, this is how you're treating the future, by kicking them out of their own place."

At the time, Healey responded to the community's outrage by saying, "We just have to do what we have to do," noting that the situation was "just born out of necessity."

Massachusetts is the only state in the country with a right-to-shelter law. In November, the state's emergency shelter system reached its maximum capacity, with 7,500 families.

A spokesperson for Healey's office told Fox News Digital that all of the homeless families and illegal immigrants have been moved out of the recreation center as the state prepares to reopen it for public use. The spokesperson noted that individuals previously residing in the community center were either relocated to more permanent housing or a different safety-net location.

Norm Stembridge, a former Roxbury resident and current cochair of the Roxbury Strategic Master Plan Oversight Committee, told WGBH that the recreation center's closure impacted locals.

“It’s very important to the community for young people for elderly folks,” he told the news outlet. “There are activities geared toward each age group. They look forward to a place to be able to exercise those activities.”

Before its reopening in the summer, the building will undergo several upgrades, including new flooring, equipment, tree planting, roof repairs, and solar panel installation.

The state has also opened several other safety-net sites to address the number of illegal immigrants still on its waiting list. Healey's office recently announced plans to convert a National Guard armory in Lexington into a temporary shelter space despite the facility's ongoing use, Blaze News previously reported. The state estimates that the building will be able to provide housing to 55 families.

A WBZ report published in February estimated that the state is spending approximately $64 per day to feed each illegal alien.

Massachusetts to convert prison into shelter for illegal aliens

Massachusetts plans to convert a shuttered prison into an emergency "safety-net" site for illegal aliens, Democrat Governor Maura Healey's office confirmed to WCVB on Saturday.

The Bay State Correctional Center in Norfolk was decommissioned in 2015 but will soon serve as temporary housing for approximately 140 local homeless and illegal immigrant families residing in Massachusetts, the only state with a right-to-shelter law.

The state's emergency shelter system reached capacity at 7,500 families in November.

'All we know is we have got people coming here.'

According to Emergency Assistance Director Scott Rice, the facility is still "in good condition," WCVB reported. Previously a minimum-security prison, the building reportedly features dorm-like rooms, a cafeteria, a gymnasium, a common room, and offices. Residents will have access to showers and bathrooms on each floor.

Rice told the news outlet that the state also plans to create a play area for children and classroom spaces for adults. The facility will host English for Speakers of Other Languages courses, job training, and housing search workshops, he added. Razor wire on the fence that lines the property will be removed, and the facility's gates will remain open.

The emergency shelter should be operational in June. Many of the families who will reside at the facility are currently sleeping at Boston's Logan International Airport, the governor's office stated.

The town of Norfolk told WBZ-TV that it only learned the prison would be converted into shelter space on Friday. On Saturday, Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll briefed the town on the plan.

According to Norfolk officials, the prison will serve as a shelter for illegal immigrants for six to 12 months. They told WBZ they had "no role in this decision" and were "not consulted prior." Officials noted that the plan to turn the prison into a shelter has "many logistical challenges," which they plan to discuss with school leaders and police and fire chiefs.

Jim Lehan, a member of the Norfolk Select Board, stated, "We were taken back a little bit."

"When you have no knowledge of it, and you start getting phone calls about something you have no idea what they are calling about. That was a little tough," he added. "All we know is we have got people coming here and we have got issues that are related to it, and we are going to have to work our way through it."

Lehan noted that the town's elementary school does not have the space to support a large influx of additional children.

The town had meetings scheduled this week with the state to discuss the project's financial costs and who would foot the bill.

In late April, the governor's office announced that it would convert a National Guard armory in Lexington into a shelter for illegal immigrants despite the building's ongoing use.

Paul Craney of the Massachusetts Fiscal Alliance told Blaze News, "The responsibility for the migrant crisis Massachusetts is currently facing rests solely with executive and legislative leadership on Beacon Hill. First migrants maxed out our shelter system, then they maxed out hotels which were rented for them, now they've maxed out the overflow sites and are about to encroach upon our national defense installations. Governor Healey has proven time and time again that she is willing to do just about anything except address the root cause of the issue. Until Beacon Hill addresses the factors that are making us a magnet for people around the world, this problem is only going to continue to get worse."

According to a March press release from Healey's office, illegal immigrants residing in the state's overflow shelters must reapply monthly and provide evidence that they are attempting to become independent.

Biden to close border at 4,000 encounters per day, despite previously claiming he might not have 'power' to issue order

President Biden plans to issue an executive order to close the border when Border Patrol reaches 4,000 encounters per day, a White House source told the New York Post on Wednesday.

The administration has weighed taking action to curb the massive uptick in illegal immigration but has repeatedly claimed that Biden might not have the authority to do so.

During an interview in April with Univision's Enrique Acevedo, Biden stated that the White House was "examining whether or not" the president has the "power" under the current legislation to close down the border when encounters reached over 5,000 per day.

'[A] cheap election year ploy.'

"There's no, there's no guarantee that I have that power all by myself without legislation. And some have suggested I should just go ahead and try it. And if I get shut down by the court, I get shut down by the court. But we're trying to work that, work through that right now," Biden told Acevedo.

Biden slammed Republican lawmakers for voting down legislation in February that he claimed would have addressed the crisis at the southern border, in part by adding more Border Patrol officers. Despite being referred to as a border bill, the legislation lumped together massive funding for military aid for Ukraine and Israel, as well as humanitarian assistance for Gaza.

In January, Biden told reporters that he had "done all I can do" to stop the wave of illegal immigration. He called on Congress to "give me the power."

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton stated in February that "nothing good" was in the so-called border bill.

"All it did was rubber stamp what Joe Biden's been doing for the last three and a half years, all the bad stuff and none of the good stuff," Paxton stated. "The Republicans would have been basically signing on to his failed policies of letting the border be overrun."

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) called the bill a "steaming pile of crap."

My views on the border bill have not been ambiguous.

The good news: This bill is dead on arrival.

The border bill is just terrible.
— (@)

Fox News' "The Five" cohost Jeanine Pirro said, "This bill is not a border bill, it's an immigration bill."

"This is all about making sure we have enough people to be able to process the illegals," she remarked.

Biden's planned executive order reportedly mirrors provisions proposed in the failed bill, according to the Post. It is unclear when the order will be announced.

A spokesperson for House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) told the Post that the president's order would "prove" that he had the authority all along and "doesn't need Congress to pass legislation to take action on the border."

Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-Mo.) called Biden's move "a cheap election year ploy," telling the Post that the president "has lost all credibility on the border."

Blaze News investigates: The TRUTH behind China's stealth US border invasion — 'America can only be destroyed by the enemies within'

The Biden administration's open-border policies have fueled a staggering increase in illegal immigration at the northern and southern borders. New research indicates that an increasing number of these illegal immigrants do not come originally from Mexico or countries farther South, but rather from Asia.

Customs and Border Protection officials have been reporting massive increases in Chinese nationals attempting to illegally enter the country, particularly since late 2023.

'We see the women get off the bus. They're immediately contacted by the Chinese taxicab drivers.'

The Daily Caller News Foundation reported earlier this year that the White House relaxed the interview vetting process for Chinese nationals who have illegally crossed the border, further fast-tracking their entry into the country.

In December, NewsNation captured a video in Jacumba Hot Springs, California, showing a massive caravan of Chinese nationals who had crossed the border illegally.

HAPPENING NOW🚨 Large groups of migrants , mostly Chinese national men crossing illegally through open gaps on the border wall in Jacumba Hot Springs , CA @NewsNation

Tomorrow San Diego County officials will vote on whether the county will spend $3 million in taxpayer funds for…
— (@)

In the first six months of fiscal year 2024, Customs and Border Protection officials nationwide encountered nearly 42,000 Chinese nationals, a 133% increase compared to the same period last fiscal year, when they encountered just over 18,000.

Most Chinese nationals illegally crossing the southern border into the United States enter through the San Diego Sector, which has experienced the most encounters in April of all other sectors in the nation. In fiscal year 2023, the San Diego Sector's CBP experienced almost 231,000 illegal immigrant encounters. So far, in the first six months of fiscal year 2024, there have already been more than 185,000.

These eye-popping numbers reported by CBP do not account for the known or unknown gotaways who entered the U.S. without being apprehended by law enforcement officials.

Jessica M. Vaughan, director of policy studies for the Center for Immigration Studies, told Blaze News that the increase in Chinese nationals illegally entering the country can be attributed to the fact that the "news has spread that if you can make it to the U.S. border, chances are you will be allowed to stay, perhaps indefinitely."

El Cajon Mayor Bill Wells has been sounding the alarm about the open-border crisis and reporting on how it is impacting the San Diego Sector in particular. Wells detailed his recent visits to the southern border in a series of videos shared on X.

While touring the border, we came across a group of primarily Chinese nationals who had just crossed the border illegally. The group was walking on a dirt road in the middle of the night, looking for Border Patrol to take them to the City of San Diego.
— (@)

"I was out there in the middle of the night, and we're driving down these dirt roads and we come across 30 Chinese families — men, women, and children. Just standing there in the middle of nowhere in the dark, maybe 10 miles away from a highway. And they're just waiting to be picked up by the Border Patrol," Wells told Blaze News. "I talked to them. They didn't speak English very well. And I think that some of them probably spoke English better than they let on, but they're just coming over in waves."

He explained that the caravans crossing the southern border are "not just randomly happening" but are part of a highly organized effort. Wells and many others have found countless abandoned IDs and passports scattered in the desert.

Why are illegal immigrants ripping up their IDs and passports when they enter America? They want to create a new identity so that Border Patrol has no idea who they are.

I visited @thecorygoat house, who lives next to the border and has picked up hundreds of torn-up IDs around…
— (@)

"There's a reason for that — they don't want anyone to know who they are. They want to apply for asylum, get their court date for five years in the future, and disappear into the interior of the country," Wells told Blaze News. "We have no idea who they are, why they're here, and what their history is."

He warned that the open-border crisis and relaxed vetting provide a dangerous and easily exploitable opportunity for foreign government actors and terrorists to "slip into the interior" of the country.

"The communist government of China does not see us as an ally; they see us as a competitor in their quest to dominate the world. And I think they've got a vested interest in damaging the United States at any cost. I also know that they've been heavily involved in espionage and stealing technology. And it certainly is a lot easier to do that when you've got tens of thousands of Chinese migrants coming in, and, of course, I would assume some of those are government agents," Wells told Blaze News.

He said the shift in illegal immigrants crossing into California can be blamed mainly on the state's "political climate."

"We're a sanctuary state. Our governor has no interest whatsoever in trying to dissuade people from coming across," Wells added.

In September, San Diego County had 140,000 street releases, according to Wells. Around the same time, Wells noted that he started seeing fewer illegal immigrants from Central America and more from China and Africa.

"The federal government has some goal in mind — I think we all know what it is; it's to change the balance of power in Congress forever. But that goal is so important to them that they do not care about how many people are going to die. I think that's pretty frightening," he stated.

Wells said that the nongovernmental organizations tasked with transporting and providing humanitarian aid to the illegal immigrants are quickly moving the individuals out of the area and relocating them to other parts of the state.

Once the illegal immigrants cross into the country in San Diego County, they are picked up by Border Patrol agents. Iris Avenue Transit Center serves as the primary drop-off point for illegal aliens.

John Fabbricatore, a retired Immigration and Customs Enforcement Denver Field Office director and current Republican congressional candidate for Colorado's 6th District, told Blaze News that Chinese nationals moving through South America to get to the U.S.-Mexico border are paying significant amounts of money.

"They're also being taken care of much better as they move through South America. They are being transported in buses. They have better guides. They're getting food while they're getting through. And that gets all set up by criminal organizations," Fabbricatore said. "These Chinese criminal organizations are actually raising this kind of A+ rating for moving Chinese migrants through South America," often in partnership with the Mexican cartels.

In a video posted on X, Wells described seeing female Chinese nationals being picked up by male Chinese taxicab drivers at the transit station in San Diego County.

Federal data shows a surge in Chinese migrants illegally crossing the US-Mexico border, setting a new record with 24,200 arrests over the last six months, predominantly concentrated in San Diego County.
— (@)

"We see the women get off the bus. They're immediately contacted by the Chinese taxicab drivers," he told Blaze News. "These aren't just guys that show up there. They sleep outside of their taxicabs on the ground. They make cooking fires at night. Their whole life is wrapped around bringing these Chinese people to undisclosed locations."

Wells stated that, at this point, he has not confirmed where these women are being taken and why.

"I was with somebody who spoke Mandarin overhearing, and they said that they were talking about getting to locations in Los Angeles. My speculation is that to pay off their debt to get into the country, they're working in sex trafficking and being taken to the brothels they're going to be working in. But I have no confirmation," he said in an interview with Blaze News.

Vaughan, with the CIS, explained that "it would be easy to get away with this kind of an abusive criminal scheme under the current policies."

Women crossing the border illegally are "released with few questions asked," she told Blaze News, because "officers are too overwhelmed to be able to screen for trafficking situations." She noted that even if a trafficking situation was detected, the females would be "unlikely to divulge much information because they will fear for the safety of their families in China."

"This would not be the first sex trafficking scheme involving Chinese women, and it won't be the last, unless we start doing a better job enforcing our immigration laws. But this is an example of how tolerating and encouraging illegal immigration leads to other problems," Vaughan said.

Relaxed border vetting

Air Force General Gregory Guillot told the Senate Armed Services Committee in March that the influx of Chinese nationals illegally crossing the border is "a big concern" of his, noting the potential for "counter intelligence to hide in plain sight in those numbers," Blaze News previously reported.

Vaughan told Blaze News that she believes "most of those crossing the border illegally are relatively ordinary workers looking for better opportunities in the United States, and some are willing to do their time in service to the drug cartels to get out of China."

"Some may be spies — why wouldn't China try that? — but the reality is that most any Chinese citizen here as a student or white-collar worker could be enlisted as a spy for China, and those in schools, on research projects, or working for innovative U.S. companies or the government are in a better position to carry out espionage. The men crossing the border illegally are more likely lower-level operatives or ordinary workers," she remarked.

Fabbricatore informed Blaze News that he believes a greater threat to national security is from destabilization efforts within the country.

"A lot of people just look at it and they see young males crossing the border, and they think the Chinese are sending their military over here. And I don't see that. This isn't 'Red Dawn.' We're not going to see a bunch of soldiers pop up. But it doesn't take that to bring the United States down. It takes people in positions to lead other people to be dissidents and to lash out at the U.S. and have rallies against the U.S. And to just put us into a flux of chaos," he stated.

"It takes people stealing our advanced technology and using that in China and making it so that they get something to the market before we do. There are a lot of things the Chinese government can do to destabilize the United States, and it doesn't necessarily have to be through force," Fabbricatore added.

To move illegal immigrants through quickly, the Border Patrol has pulled back on its vetting processes, allowing potentially dangerous individuals to slip through undetected. For thorough vetting to occur, illegal aliens would need to be held in custody for about two weeks, Fabbricatore explained.

When illegal immigrants enter the country, they are apprehended and transported to a processing facility where their biometrics are collected and an interview is typically conducted, he told Blaze News. The illegal aliens’ information and fingerprints are run through law enforcement systems to check for previous criminal activity.

"But if that person has never been in the U.S., they're not hitting on anything because most of the systems that we're searching through are U.S.-based systems where if a person has come in contact with law enforcement or the FBI, there will be something in the system on them," Fabbricatore continued. "Now, there are more advanced systems that that information travels through, but it's a longer process and doesn't have an initial red flag that comes up."

"The vetting used to be better with the intelligence-gathering, and it's a lot less now because they're just quickly going through those initial interviews," he noted.

'The young people have been indoctrinated, schooled for years to become American Red Guards to do the destruction of our American ideals and values and traditions.'

In addition to the administration's relaxed border policies acting as a magnet for foreign nationals to cross into the country illegally, Vaughan explained that the increase in entries could also be attributed to "the emergence of Chinese organized crime groups expanding their involvement in illegal marijuana growing and in money laundering for the Mexican drug cartels."

"We can be confident that there is a connection and that the lax border and interior enforcement has facilitated this business model of illegal weed grows in rural areas with workers in a state of bondage, enforced with violence," she continued. "According to federal law enforcement agents, the Chinese crime groups are now the money laundering partners of choice for the Mexican drug cartels, because the Chinese developed a model to successfully launder the funds more quickly and more cheaply than the Mexican money brokers who used to do this job."

The Chinese triads are "controlling a lot of these weed grows that you're seeing in the northern part of our border," including in Maine and upstate New York, Fabbricatore told Blaze News.

The threat of the CCP

Fabbricatore stated, "We know for sure that the Chinese are sending assets over to the United States — 100%. You can see that in some of the secret police stations that the Chinese have set up in some of our cities. ... Those are CCP assets that they have sent over to the United States to find dissidents, to find these real asylum-seekers who are coming into the U.S. and speaking out against the Chinese government."

He mentioned that the Federal Bureau of Investigation had shut down the foreign police station operations and arrested some individuals involved.

Lily Tang Williams, a Republican congressional candidate in New Hampshire's 2nd Congressional District, told Blaze News that the Department of Justice may have closed down the offices, but that has not stopped the CCP from continuing its operations.

Williams expressed that she is "very, very concerned" about the influx of Chinese nationals crossing the southern border illegally. Tang Williams grew up in China during Mao Zedong's cultural revolution, and she is now determined to "prevent the country she loves from becoming the country she left."

"I have been speaking up about my story for a while, and because of that, the [Chinese Communist Party] has discovered me. And they've threatened me since 2019 to say, 'Shut up,' or, 'You are a wanted criminal when you come back to China to visit your family and friends," Tang Williams stated, adding that she has been unable to see her loved ones since the threats began.

She said she is concerned about her safety and the CCP's influence on American systems.

"I'm afraid that people don't understand China. That is a very complicated issue," Tang Williams remarked. She explained that Xi Jinping aims to ensure that China takes over as the top global power, including "militarily, economically, diplomatically, and technologically."

"There's a strong force united to really destroy our country from within," she told Blaze News. "I truly believe America can only be destroyed by the enemies within."

Tang Williams explained that the federal government has allowed China to "infiltrate" America for decades. She noted that the CCP's influence and control is much more significant than most realize.

"For the U.S. particularly, they have sent the Confucius Institute funded by the Chinese government in the name of promoting culture and the language. ... At the end of last year, I think at most of the college campuses, the Confucius Institute ceased to exist, but I heard they changed names," she warned. "That's the tactic."

Fabbricatore echoed Tang Williams' concerns in a statement made to Blaze News, noting that the CCP has exploited student and work visa programs to plant assets that fuel destabilization efforts.

Tang Williams stated that news outlets in the U.S. that broadcast and publish content in Mandarin are all owned by pro-CCP actors.

"Now, you talk about business associations, the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, friendship societies, sister cities, university exchanges," she continued. "It's amazing, all that deep infiltration."

Tang Williams explained that Mao Zedong used identity politics to seize control.

"There is a similarity between the cultural revolution in China and the woke revolution in this country. And the young people have been indoctrinated, schooled for years to become American Red Guards to do the destruction of our American ideals and values and traditions," Tang Williams told Blaze News.

"Marxism is 'oppressor versus oppressed.' So they are constantly creating the new oppressed group," she added. "It's by design. ... Our young people just don't know; they don't realize it."

When asked about the border crisis and recent increase in Chinese nationals illegally entering the U.S., Tang Williams told Blaze News, "I'm very concerned a legal immigrant, like me, has been totally forgotten — people who come here, follow the laws. My brother waited 13 years to come here legally from inside China. And those people are being punished."

Tang Williams explained that a "very organized" system exists for Chinese nationals seeking to immigrate to the U.S. illegally.

"I have watched some TikTok videos in Chinese," she said. The online posts "tell people where to sleep in South America, what route to take to avoid the criminals." Tang Williams explained that they arrange for drivers to pick them up once they have arrived in the U.S.

"Some people are truly wanting to escape China for freedom, come here, live a better life," Tang Williams stated. "But there's lots of military-age men. They do not even want to be photographed, and they don't want to talk. And it sounds like it's very organized, the whole activity. Even telling them which border to enter."

Tang Williams told Blaze News that if the White House and Democrats truly cared about immigrants, they would speed up processing times for those who have applied to legally move to the U.S. She called the administration's open-border crisis a "mad house."

"They are doing this on purpose; this massive illegal migration movement is also supporting and funding the dividing of nations. ... Why do they just open up the borders? There is clearly an agenda to help one party," Tang Williams continued. "[Democrats] only think about their own power grab and staying in power. And getting [illegal immigrants] fast-tracked to get a Social Security number to work and to become voters."

Man stabbed outside shelter for illegal aliens in NYC — no arrests made: Report

A man was reportedly stabbed on Wednesday outside of the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City, Fox News Digital reported.

The New York Police Department told the news outlet that the 23-year-old man was brutally attacked near the historic hotel in Manhattan. The victim suffered stab wounds to the back of his neck.

Authorities stated that he walked to Mount Sinai West Hospital to receive care. The victim is expected to recover from the assault.

Police told Fox News Digital that no individuals have been arrested for their connection to the attack but noted that two suspects were believed to be involved.

Investigators are still canvassing the area for possible surveillance camera footage.

The Roosevelt Hotel, owned by state-run Pakistan International Airlines, was converted into a shelter for illegal aliens last year after being closed down in 2020 amid the government shutdowns in response to COVID-19.

Scott Markowitz of Tarter Krinsky & Drogin, attorneys for the hotel’s owner, told WNBC last May that opening up the historic hotel to illegal immigrants made financial sense, noting that it would generate “substantially more revenue” than the hotel’s typical operations.

New York City taxpayers have shelled out $220 million to provide housing to illegal aliens at the hotel for three years.

According to a New York Post report from February, the owners of the Roosevelt Hotel are now considering replacing the hotel with a multi-use mega-tower after the illegal immigrants have vacated the property.

Peter Riguardi with JLL, a brokerage, told the Post, “Pakistan hired us to evaluate the property’s potential as a mixed-use project combining retail, offices, a new hotel, condo apartments and event space all in a single building.”

“We expect all the major developers and global capital sources to be interested. It will attract the greatest architects. The Roosevelt location is in the hottest part of New York City, close by Grand Central Terminal,” Riguardi added.

Violent attacks at or near shelters used to house illegal aliens have become increasingly more common.

From May through August 2023, 41 individuals were arrested at the Roosevelt Hotel, the Post reported. One illegal immigrant residing at the shelter was accused of hitting a worker with a “No Parking” sign after he was removed from the property. The worker suffered a six-inch gash on his head.

On Monday morning, an illegal immigrant allegedly attacked a security guard at the Randalls Island shelter when the worker attempted to break up a fight between the 24-year-old man and his wife, Blaze News previously reported. The aggressor bit, punched, and scratched the guard during the altercation. The security guard fought back against his attacker, hitting the man in the face. Both refused medical attention.

‘Alligators are in the Rio Grande’: Texas Gov. Abbott warns would-be illegal aliens about risks of crossing border river

Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott recently warned would-be illegal aliens who are considering crossing the Rio Grande to enter the United States unlawfully that the water is infested with alligators.

Abbott re-shared a video post on X that showed an alligator in the river near Eagle Pass, Texas. According to the post, the footage was captured by a local resident who came across the reptile while fishing one morning.

Independent journalist Auden B. Cabello noted that Border Patrol agents have also previously confirmed alligator sightings in the river.

Abbott wrote on Sunday in response to the video, “Alligators are in the Rio Grande. FYI there are warning signs posted in some sectors. Cross at your own risk.”

Last year, the governor shared a similar video of the creature lurking alongside a Texas National Guard boat before disappearing under the water.

“The Texas National Guard took this picture in the Rio Grande river near Eagle Pass,” Abbott said.

Abbott’s office issued a press release last week stating that its multi-agency Operation Lone Star effort is still working together to “fill the dangerous gaps” in the border wall, including installing concertina wire in El Paso.

Spc. Newman Gideon with the Texas National Guard stated, “My responsibility on the border is to provide security for the teams going in and clearing out brush to make way for more concertina wire.”

“If there’s a hole that’s already been cut, we are going to take pliers and wire cutters to repair and close that gap [illegal immigrants] created. It’s important that [the Texas National Guard] is here to stop migrants crossing into the United States,” he added.

Abbott recently shared a video showing the continued construction of the border wall in Zapata County.

“Texas won’t back down,” Abbott wrote on X. “We are using every tool available to secure the border in Biden’s absence.”

The state is also working to build the Forward Operating Base near Eagle Pass to provide housing to the thousands of Texas National Guard troops assisting with the ongoing crisis at the southern border.

So far, the governor’s Operation Lone Star has led to the apprehension of nearly 510,000 illegal migrants and the arrests of another roughly 42,100 criminals. Additionally, the operation has seized more than 476 million lethal doses of fentanyl.
