Former President Donald Trump released a statement Sunday afternoon after a second assassination attempt was made on his life in just two months.

'Unity. Peace. Make America Great Again.'

"There were gunshots in my vicinity, but before rumors start spiraling out of control, I wanted you to hear this first: I AM SAFE AND WELL!" said Trump in the statement.

"Nothing will slow me down. I will NEVER SURRENDER!" he added. "I will always love you for supporting me."

The Trump campaign had initially issued a brief statement confirming the shooting and saying Trump was uninjured.

The former president reportedly told Sean Hannity that he was putting on the fifth hole at his golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida, when shots rang out and the Secret Service tackled Trump to protect him.

Early reports said that police recovered an AK-47 from the bushes outside of the golf course as well as a GoPro recording device.

West Palm Beach Sheriff Ric Bradshaw said in a media briefing that law enforcement officers were able to catch a suspect based on a tip from a witness.

“We are able to catch a witness that came to us and said, ‘Hey, I saw the guy running out of the bushes. He jumped into a black Nissan, and I took a picture of the vehicle and the tag,’ which was great,” Bradshaw explained.

Online sleuths were able to track the apparent social media footprint of the alleged shooter, who was identified as Ryan Routh. The posts showed support for Ukraine against the Russian invasion as well as support for Vice President Kamala Harris' presidential campaign and President Joe Biden.

"Unity. Peace. Make America Great Again," the statement from Trump concluded. "May God bless you."

2 shooters? Audio calls official Trump assassination story into question

[rebelmouse-proxy-image https://www.theblaze.com/media-library/image.jpg?id=53021635&width=1245&height=700&coordinates=0,0,0,0 crop_info="%7B%22image%22%3A%20%22https%3A//www.theblaze.com/media-library/image.jpg%3Fid%3D53021635%26width%3D1245%26height%3D700%26coordinates%3D0%2C0%2C0%2C0%22%7D" expand=1]

As a scientist, Dr. Chris Martenson knows better than to just take the official narrative of any large event in America at face value.

“I’ve looked into Oklahoma City, 9/11,” Martenson tells Pat Gray of “Pat Gray Unleashed.” “I’m a scientist, and if you have pieces of the story that don’t fit, it drives me nuts.” Regarding 9/11, Martenson couldn’t get past building 7 free falling for two and a quarter seconds.

“I don’t need to talk about who might have done it or how, I’ve got to explain that fact. And it’s impossible, right? Using the official story. So, we have to come up with a different story,” he explains.

The assassination attempt against Trump is no different, and while it warrants a thorough investigation to uncover the full scope of the incident, Martenson believes incredibly important details are being overlooked.

“I find out on CNN, of all places, that an audio expert concluded that there were two shooters,” Martenson says. “There were the sounds from the guns. One, two, and three were inconsistent with those from four, five, six, seven, eight.”

But the story then was memory-holed and forgotten.

“As soon as I see that silent space, I say, ‘Well, I got to dig into this.’ So, that’s what kicked me off,” he tells Gray.

Martenson then plays the audio from the shooting, where it sounds as if the shots are from completely different guns.

“Dramatically different,” Gray comments, stunned.

“We now have resolved that the first one obviously was the one that nicked Trump’s ear and splashed off a railing in the back,” Martenson says. “I was actually getting ready to go to the fairgrounds as soon as the FBI was going to release the tape, because I wanted to go stand on that back railing and look down and have a 6'3'' guy standing down on the stage.”

The point of this would be to figure out precisely where the first shot came from.

“Unfortunately, the FBI dismantled the stands and had them taken away within days. So, interesting,” he adds.

EXPOSED: Evidence suggests that Trump shooter may have met with the FBI

The Heritage Foundation, the same group behind Project 2025, has begun investigating some suspicious activity related to Thomas Matthew Crooks, Trump’s would-be assassin, using readily available cell-phone tracking technology. The initiative falls within the Oversight Project division.

“This is not just law enforcement or government agencies that do this. ... When you walk into a boot store in Nashville, they're going to track you, and then you start getting these ads,” explains investigative journalist and Blaze Media correspondent Steve Baker, noting that this kind of technology is referred to as “ad-ID.”

“Every single one of our cell phones have essentially what is the ... equivalency to your social security number, and so once they identify that phone, then they can pretty much track that phone wherever it goes,” Baker explains.

While being tracked rubs a lot of people the wrong way, the technology may prove helpful in discovering more information about Crooks, who had no detectable motivation for his actions, according to reports from federal investigators.

Unfortunately, we can’t trust those reports to reflect truth, which is likely why the Heritage Foundation has picked up the magnifying glass.

“Here is the gist of what [the Oversight Project] has discovered through their own tracking,” says Baker.

EXPOSED: Did the Trump Shooter Meet with the FBI? youtu.be

“They were able to ping and identify about nine different phones at the home of the shooter.” Next, “They were able to identify which of those phones were then going to ... where he works at the nursing home.”

Once “the right ID” had been identified, the team was able to track wherever Crooks went.

“What they discovered was that this kid was basically doing recon at [the Butler, Pennsylvania, rally] site on July 4th and July 8th” and then “turned his phone off after the 12th, or at least shut down all of the apps on his phone, so he couldn't be tracked on the day itself,” Baker says.

But it gets even better.

“In the process of looking at all of these phones that visited [Crooks’] home and visited the nursing home where he worked, they found a phone that actually pinged seven-eight times in D.C. at a building called a Gallery Place, which has a very large footprint of FBI offices and where source meetings and interviews regularly take place.”

“Obviously, there are many, many non-nefarious reasons why somebody would be at that building in D.C.,” Baker admits, “but it is very curious.”

“Do they feel as if they've mined everything when it comes to looking at the comings and goings with cell phone data?” asks Blaze Media Editor in Chief Matthew Peterson.

Alex Stein reacts LIVE to ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT on Donald Trump

[rebelmouse-proxy-image https://www.theblaze.com/media-library/image.jpg?id=52682824&width=1245&height=700&coordinates=0,0,0,0 crop_info="%7B%22image%22%3A%20%22https%3A//www.theblaze.com/media-library/image.jpg%3Fid%3D52682824%26width%3D1245%26height%3D700%26coordinates%3D0%2C0%2C0%2C0%22%7D" expand=1]

The attack on former President Donald Trump was just taken to an entirely new level — in the form of an assassination attempt.

During his rally speech in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday evening, a shooter who set himself up about 150 yards away on a roof to the north of the former president took his shot.

Thankfully, he missed.

The shooter, who was later identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, fired multiple shots and did not accomplish what he set out to do. Rather, one bullet grazed Trump’s ear.

After initially ducking, Trump rose quickly to his feet while Secret Service agents huddled around him and began moving him off the stage.

Trump yelled out “wait” before pumping his fist in the air.

It was an image that will go down as one of the most historic America has ever seen.

While it was undeniable to everyone watching that Trump had survived an assassination attempt, the mainstream media jumped on the incident and refused to call it what it was.

One CNN headline read “Secret Service rushes Trump off stage after he falls at rally.”

Alex Stein of “Prime Time with Alex Stein” isn’t pleased with network's original reaction.

“That’s disgusting,” Stein says in response to the headline, before noting that no one was ready for a situation like this — not even the Secret Service agents themselves.

“You play that video, they’re like, what do we do? What do we do?” Stein says, adding, “They have protocols and stuff to follow, but they still don’t know what to do. Do they lift him up, do they rush him with the ambulance, like they’re still kind of confused what to do.”

Stein, who was in Tampa with his girlfriend at the time of the shooting, stopped to ask dozens of people what their reactions were to the assassination attempt on Trump.

Oddly enough, most of them were unaware or refused to talk.

"Are you guys happy that Trump got shot?" Stein asked, confused as to why no one would answer.

"Trump got shot by a BB gun," one man shouted while he passed by.

"No," Stein responded.
