We Can’t Pretend The Sexes Are The Same Without Sending Women To War
If our society accepts the faulty premise that there are no differences between men and women, women have no grounds for objecting to compulsory combat duty.
The legacy media's newest attempt to smear North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson (R) has backfired spectacularly.
On Wednesday, HuffPost published a story trying to depict Robinson, the Republican candidate for governor, as an opponent of women's suffrage. Specifically, the news outlet claimed a "newly unearthed video" from 2020 shows Robinson advocating against the 19th Amendment, which enshrined in the Constitution the right for women to vote.

HuffPost highlighted one line in particular, "I absolutely want to go back to the America where women couldn't vote."
Pretty damning, right? Not exactly.
Robinson made the remarks at a local meeting of Republican women in March 2020. If you examine the full context of his remarks, it becomes clear that Robinson was not advocating to repeal the 19th Amendment.
Instead, he was celebrating the days when the Republican Party brought about real social change, like expanding rights for women and ending Jim Crow oppression.
Here is the full context:
Idiotic guy was on stage with Candace Owens a few days ago and asked her, "What America are we going back to to Make America Great Again? The one where women couldn't vote? Or where black people were swinging from trees?"
I would say to him if I was standing in front of him, I absolutely want to go back to the America where women couldn't vote. Do you know why? Because in those days we had people who fought for real social change. And they were called Republicans, and they are the reason why women can vote today. Those days that he talked about when black folks were swinging from trees. Guess who it was out there fighting to bring that to an end? To bring Jim Crow to an end? It was Republicans.
So that's the America we want to bring back. We want to bring back the America where Republicans and principles and true ideas of freedom rule. That's the America we want to bring back. That's why I'm a Republican.
Robinson's campaign condemned HuffPost for its "partisan hit-piece" that "plays Democrat word games to smear" Robinson.
HuffPost has not edited its headline to clarify that Robinson was not advocating for a repeal of the 19th Amendment. It's no wonder, then, why trust in the legacy media remains near record lows.
