What everyone is missing in Biden vs. Texas border fight

Everything inside the United States is unraveling at the seams — and it starts at our border.

The situation at the southern border has become dire, and it's seriously affecting communities throughout the U.S., which has been proven by newly released footage of migrants sleeping on airport floors.

While the Biden administration has consistently denied the problem, Texas has now wisely forced it into a corner after a detrimental Supreme Court decision.

The decision sided with the Biden administration, allowing them to cut the razor wire the Texas National Guard has been using as a barrier between the Rio Grande river and Shelby Park, a 47-acre area in Eagle Pass.

Governor Greg Abbott has continued to publicly challenge the ruling and “hold the line.”

Twenty-five other states have signed on to support Texas.

While it’s an incredible show of strength against a government that is increasingly endangering its people, according to Glenn Beck, “most people don’t know what they’re fighting against.”

What we’re really up against, Glenn explains, is far more insidious than just the border.

It’s everything from our intelligence agencies to new technology to the global elites.

“By 2027, just the number-crunching for AI will take 25% of our energy,” Glenn says. “I don’t know if you know this, but we’re already close to rolling blackouts.”

“God help us if we can’t turn this around in the next election, because 2025 is the year we really start to feel the impact,” he adds.

Republican governors are drawing the line on Biden’s border invasion

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has drawn the line on Biden’s border invasion and written a letter addressed to the American people and the president — and other Republican states are now joining him.

“The federal government has broken the compact between the United States and the states,” Abbott began. “The executive branch of the United States has a constitutional duty to enforce federal laws protecting states, including immigration laws on the books right now.”

“President Biden has refused to enforce those laws, and has even violated them,” Abbott continued before accusing Biden of violating his oath to faithfully execute immigration laws.

“Instead of prosecuting immigrants for the federal crime of illegal entry, President Biden has sent his lawyers into federal courts to sue Texas for taking action to secure the border,” he wrote. “The effect is to illegally allow their en mass parole into the United States by wasting taxpayer dollars to tear open Texas border security infrastructure.”

“States should not be left to the mercy of a lawless president,” he added.

Glenn Beck believes Abbott is right.

“He is declaring the Constitution covers this; he’s pointing out where it covers this, how it covers this, and that now the federal government has no authority because they failed to do their duty,” Glenn says.

“Don’t blame Texas— blame the federal government,” he continues, “this is the time for the states to stand together.”

WATCH: Texas National Guard finally shuts FLOODGATE for illegal migrants — then Biden's Border Patrol shows up

Drone video footage posted on social media by Fox News' Bill Melugin captured the moment Border Patrol agents arrive on the scene after the Texas National Guard closed and locked a gate at a "major crossing area" for illegal migrants on the Texas-Mexico border.

"For the first time, we witnessed the TX National Guard close & lock a gate on private property at a major crossing area in Eagle Pass, denying entry to migrants who just crossed illegally & expected to be let in. Border Patrol then came w/ a key & let them in for processing," Melugin captioned the first of three videos.

Then the Border Patrol arrived, unlocked the gate, and held it open to let the group of illegal migrants in "for processing."

“This was the moment Border Patrol arrived with the key and let the migrants in. The landowner allows both TX DPS/National Guard and Border Patrol to work here. The gate has always been left open in the past. TX is now closing it, & migrants have to wait for BP to be let in.”

Melugin said Border Patrol agents opening gates for illegal immigrants is nothing new.

"What’s new is TX is now closing the gate & denying entry at this major crossing location. Always open in months past, including this video I shot in May," he wrote.

“Border Patrol opening gates etc to allow migrants in is not new. They have to process migrants on U.S. soil per federal law. What’s new is TX is now closing the gate & denying entry at this major crossing location. Always open in months past, including this video I shot in May.”

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) accused "Biden’s open border policies" of causing "this crisis."

“Unbelievable.

While Texas secures the border, the federal government is enabling illegal immigration.

Biden’s open border policies caused this crisis.

The federal government must do its job & fix it.”

Abbott has been bussing migrants to Democrat-run "sanctuary cities." New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) and Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser (D) have accused the Texas governor of "cruel political gamesmanship" and "hateful politics," while complaining that their cities are being overrun with thousands of migrants. Meanwhile, sources say more than 2 million “migrant encounters” have been recorded so far this year, up from the previous record of 1,277,177 this time last year.

“BREAKING: CBP sources say migrant encounters this FY22 so far surpassed 2,001,034 - a NEW RECORD set this past weekend and a milestone never before seen in history - this compared to last year's record setting numbers which were 1,277,177 at this point in FY21 @CBP @FoxNews”

First bus of illegal immigrants from Texas arrives in DC

A bus from Texas carrying dozens of illegal immigrants arrived in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday morning, allowing passengers to disembark just blocks away from the U.S. Capitol, according to a Fox News report.

Governor Greg Abbott (R-Texas) announced last week that he directed the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) to "charter buses and flights to transport migrants who have been processed and released from federal custody to Washington, D.C.," in response to the Biden administration's plan to rescind Title 42.

But critics on both the left and right were quick to slam the Texas governor's plan as a "publicity stunt" and "gimmick" when they found out that illegal immigrants "must volunteer" and "show documentation from DHS" to be transported to the Capitol.

Press secretary Jen Psaki said "I think it’s pretty clear this is a publicity stunt” when asked what the Biden administration planned to do in response to Gov. Abbott's initiative. “His own office admits that a migrant would need to voluntarily be transported, and then he can’t compel them to because, again, enforcement of our country’s immigration laws lies with the federal government and not a state,” she added.

Even Republican state Rep. Matt Schaefer called the plan a "gimmick" in a tweet shortly after Abbott's press conference announcing his plan.

Nevertheless, a bus from the Del Rio sector in Texas reportedly pulled up just blocks away from the U.S. Capitol building around 8 a.m. local time on Wednesday, to drop off dozens of immigrants said to be from Colombia, Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela.

"In the last 24 hours, TDEM has dispatched buses to areas where communities have expressed concerns about the federal government dropping off migrants and has the capability to send as many as is necessary to fulfill the requests from mayors and county judges," Seth Christensen, chief of media and communications for TDEM, told Fox News.

“From the [Rio Grande Valley] to Terrell County, a large majority of the communities that originally reached out for support through this operation have now said that the federal government has stopped dropping migrants in their towns since the governor’s announcement on Wednesday,” Christensen added.

A tweet from Gov. Abbott's account on Wednesday boasted, "First Texas bus drops off illegal immigrants blocks from US Capitol in Washington, DC. Biden refuses to come see the mess he’s made at the border. So Texas is bringing the border to him."

If the migrants are asked if they want to go to DC and they say yes...then they are just basically getting a free ride there...right? When they are being released they are free to go wherever they want..they choose DC. So isn't Texas just giving them a free ride where they chose?

I agree; more states than just Florida and Texas need to be making headlines.

Gov. Abbott issues disaster declaration, vows to defend Texas border: 'They came in to the WRONG state'

The crisis at the border continues to worsen, with the U.S. Border Patrol recently releasing some shocking statistics that illuminate just how bad the situation has become. But Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) is doing everything he can to prevent any additional unlawful crossings into the Lone Star State.

Abbott joined Glenn Beck on the radio program Wednesday to describe recent action he has taken to ensure that those who do cross into Texas illegally know they came to the "wrong state."

After noting that both President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris "have completely abandoned post as it concerns the Texas border," Abbott explained how "Texas is stepping up" to combat the flood of dangerous gangs and cartels, human traffickers and drugs he says are pouring into border communities.

"Beginning in March, I deployed a thousand Texas Department of Public Safety officers to the border. I deployed the National Guard to the border. And they made well over a thousand arrests of some of these criminals we talked about. They've apprehended more than 33,000 illegal immigrants coming across the border." Abbott said. "But because of the way the Biden administration has abandoned the border, we are now elevating our game. What I did yesterday, in response to more than a dozen counties along the border ... I granted their request for a disaster declaration," he added.

Abbott went on to describe how his disaster declaration gives Texas the authority to toughen penalties for lawbreakers, including criminal trespassing, smuggling, and human trafficking.

"We're going to begin arresting everybody coming across the border and charging them with criminal trespass and putting them in jail. They are coming in here, thinking they'll get the Biden free-ride, and go wherever they want to go. Not in the state of Texas. We'll start arresting them right and left, and putting them behind bars, and saying they came in to the wrong state."

Asked by Glenn if he is prepared for the inevitable "media onslaught", Abbott simply answered, "We're prepared to see a reduction in the number of people coming across the border — because Texas is enforcing the law, period."
