Pro-abortion ad is SO STUPID you'd think it's a joke
California Governor Gavin Newsom has launched a new pro-abortion ad this week, and it’s so cringeworthy and full of nonsense that it's almost painful to watch.
“Alabama’s abortion ban has no exceptions for rape or incest. Now, Republicans are trying to criminalize young women’s travel to receive abortion care. We cannot let them get away with this,” Newsom wrote in a tweet on X that accompanied his ad.
The ad shows two young women attempting to cross state lines when they’re pulled over and asked to take a pregnancy test by a police officer.
“This isn’t parody, okay. This isn’t SNL. This is an actual ad released unironically from Gavin Newsom on abortion,” Sara Gonzales says, shocked.
“These people are not serious people,” she adds.
“What are you thinking, you colossal bunch of morons?” Matthew Marsden agrees, “but it’s California.”
The ad was released as Newsom is set to propose legislation to make it easier for women from Arizona to seek abortions in California and offer Arizona abortion providers an expedited way to get licensed in California.
“They’re preparing to accept an influx of patients from these women who are escaping these mean red states who are making it harder for them to kill their babies. Those mean conservatives who just want it to be like 'The Handmaid's Tale,'” Gonzales mocks.
“It’s just that, like, it’s a live human being inside of you, and we’d prefer it to be alive,” she adds.

Flashback: Old Bud Light ads jokingly feature cross-dressing men
Bud Light has faced a wave of negative public sentiment in the wake of its ill-advised move to enlist transgender figure Dylan Mulvaney to promote the beverage, but years ago, the beer brand actually had ads that jokingly featured cross-dressing men.
In one ad, cross dressing men pretend to be women so they can compete in a women's pool competition where the first place prize is Bud Light beer.

In another ad, men show up at a bar dressed as women and speak in high pitched voices, apparently in a bid to score Bud Lights on ladies night while there's a special on the drink.

And in another ad, famous comedian Don Rickles offers to buy a someone a Bud Light, only to have that person turn around and reveal himself to be a cross-dressing man with a mustasche.
Amid the public backlash related to Dylan Mulvaney, Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth issued a statement last week in which he said that the company "never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people." But when Bud Light posted a tweet last week, that tweet was majorly ratioed as people pounced on the woke company.
Nike has absurdly had Mulvaney, a biological male, advertise a bra and leggings.
The U.S. House of Representatives passed a measure on Thursday that would help protect female sports from biological men who identify as women, but zero House Democrats voted in favor of passage. The measure would need to clear the Senate in order to reach President Joe Biden, and the president intends to veto it if it arrives at his desk.

Worst ad ever? DCCC seeks to target Latinos with ad in which one of the characters says that 'Democrats seem so out of touch'
With Americans facing soaring inflation and sky-high gas prices, it's entirely possible that the Democratic Party could be cruising for a bruising at the ballot box during the 2022 midterm elections — but an ad that the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee hopes will appeal to Latino voters may not improve the party's chances of avoiding an embarrassing drubbing during the election.
The DCCC shared an ad in which a woman, who complains of back and neck pain, says that she cannot slow down because she needs to earn more money because of high gas prices and her children's need for daycare. She notes being "so stressed out," and says that she does not "know what else to do."
Another character in the ad advises the woman to vote for Democrats, saying, "These Republican extremists have no plan to help us."
The overworked woman responds by saying that "Democrats seem so out of touch."
"Not true. These MAGA Republicans are only working for rich people. Democrats know firsthand that even small price increases are hard on working families like ours. Democrats are finding solutions, unlike the Republicans," the other character replies. "What you could do is vote for Democrats."
It seems unlikely that the ad will inspire voters to get excited about voting for Democrats.

"First of all, this ad is terrible. But more importantly, it represents the terrible position in which Democrats find themselves in South Texas and the RGV. The Dem brand is ruined--completely destroyed. They have to attack both parties. This means they are going to lose," someone else tweeted.
In a press release, the DCCC announced that it is shelling out a seven-figure sum for digital, print, and radio ads to attract Latino support in "battleground districts."
"The first radio advertisements will run in Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, and Texas, and will spotlight Republicans’ extreme plans for America and highlight the historic accomplishments Democrats have delivered to communities," the press release declared.
"Democrats refuse to take Latino voters for granted and this latest investment will join the DCCC’s cycle-long commitment to court, build and expand Democrats’ relationship and commitment to the Latino electorate," DCCC Senior Advisor for Latino Engagement Mariafernanda Zacarias said, according to the press release. "At a time when Republicans lie and try to deceive voters, especially in Latino communities, the DCCC is going to continue making the case that Democrats are the best for our families and our freedoms."

The campaign of California Gov. Gavin Newsom — a Democrat who has claimed that his is not interested in mounting a 2024 presidential bid — has reportedly shelled out $105,000 to run ads in Florida, even as the politician is currently seeking reelection in his own state.
"California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) just placed a statewide cable buy in Florida. Ads begin airing on July 4th," Adimpact tweeted on Monday. "Of note, the only network Gavin Newsom purchased in his Florida cable buy today was the Fox News Channel. So far we have seen $105K placed."

"Newsom for California Governor 2022 has placed ad spending on Fox News in FLORIDA cable zones for July 4th," Medium Buying tweeted on Monday, adding, "$105K total buy."
SFGate reported that the content of the advertisements is not apparent, and when questioned, Newsom re-election campaign spokesperson Nathan Click responded, "stay tuned."
The Golden State governor entered office in 2019, survived a recall election last year, and is currently running for a second term.
Newsom has said that he has "sub-zero interest" in a 2024 White House bid, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. "It's not even on my radar," he said.
Referring to Vice President Kamala Harris, Newsom said, "I'm hopeful that she's the next president of the United States."
Commenting on Newsom's ad buy for the Sunshine State, Jeremy B. White of Politico tweeted, "You gotta be pretttttay confident in re-election to buy airtime in a state 3,000 miles away from your constituents."
President Joe Biden has said that he plans to run for re-election in 2024 as long as he has "good health."
Biden, who was sworn in at the age of 78 and is now 79, is the oldest person ever to serve as president — he would be 86 by the end of a second term in office.
Earlier this month when liberal CNN host Don Lemon asked White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre whether she believes the president has the physical and mental stamina to serve beyond 2024, the press secretary balked at the question. "I can't even keep up with him," she said. "That is not a question that we should be even asking."
Mark Leibovich, a staff writer with The Atlantic, has contended that Biden should not seek another term. "Let me put this bluntly: Joe Biden should not run for reelection in 2024. He is too old," Leibovich wrote. "Biden is fit to faithfully execute his duties, the White House physician said in his most recent health summary," Leibovich noted. "The question is: Should he? The answer: Sure, for now. But not a day after January 20, 2025."

The ad campaign angered Catholics in Spain, where 60% of the population is Catholic, the cable network said.
"Apparently, the loss of culinary taste and the lack of respect for religious sentiments go hand in hand," Bishop José Ignacio Munilla of Orihuela-Alicante tweeted along with a photo of the "Take all of you and eat of it" ad:

Burger King told Fox News in a statement that campaign's intention was "never to offend."
"At Burger King, we value diversity and inclusion," the statement reads, according to the cable network. "The intention of this campaign, executed by our partner in Spain, was never to offend. However, we are aware that it did, and as a result the ads were quickly taken down. We apologize for any offense."
