TikTok video exposes America’s reading crisis: Why parents and schools are failing kids

A video has gone viral on TikTok for revealing a literacy crisis in America — showing high school students failing to read a very simple sentence: “She wore a silhouette of clothes that were extraordinary but somewhat gauche.”

And BlazeTV host Allie Beth Stuckey believes that one of the reasons for this crisis is not only the method for teaching literacy in schools, but that the amount of parents reading to their children daily has dropped. And according to a study conducted by HarperCollins Publishers, the drop is significant.

“I saw this statistic that says only 41% of children aged 0 to 4 are read to daily as of 2025. That is a nine-point drop only since 2019. Only 55%, a little over half of children aged 0 to 5, are read to at least five days a week,” she continues.

“There are a lot of parents who are overstimulated. They’re tired. They’re distracted. It’s really not about these kids having their own lack of discipline. It starts with a lack of discipline and bad priorities for parents honestly,” she adds.

Stuckey believes that the difficulty parents face finding the time or energy to read to their kids is manifesting in "difficulty for them for the rest of their lives.”

And the reason this is creating so much difficulty for children is because “the comprehension of words is necessary for understanding the world.”

“It is very difficult to be a diligent student, an informed voter, a productive citizen, a helpful neighbor if you do not understand words,” Stuckey says.

But it’s not just the ability to participate in modern society that’s being threatened by the literacy crisis.

“Unlike Buddhism, Christianity does not place a premium on silence or the emptying of the mind. Christianity is a word-based faith. You go all the way back to the beginning. God spoke the universe into existence,” Stuckey explains.

“He dictated all of creation, including the creation of man and woman who were made in his image. He spoke to Noah. He spoke to and through Moses,” she continues.

This is why, Stuckey explains, Christians have historically been “the best communicators in the world.”

“Christians dominated academia in this country before giving it over to the liberals and the secularists over time. And now, I think we have the opportunity to take the lead again. We have to. I mean, look at where we are,” she says.

“We have schools that are not teaching kids to read. We have people going to college and becoming lawyers and doctors with barely a high school-reading level. We’re scared of objective standards here in the U.S., standards of excellence because of whom they might exclude,” she continues, adding, "And all of us are going to suffer for that.”

Ex-Muslim: The only way to stop Sharia law in the US

While a growing number of Christians on the right believe Islam is compatible with the West, BlazeTV host Allie Beth Stuckey is not among them — and is looking for a solution to what others view as an Islamic takeover across the country.

Ex-Muslim Shahriq Khan, who now heads the Christ Underground ministry, agrees with Stuckey — and he has that solution.

“It’s not compatible with the West. I mean, under Quranic standards, we would be under Sharia law, which directly conflicts with the Constitution. And the Muslims know this,” Khan tells Stuckey on “Relatable.”

“What’s the solution?” he asks.

“Like, we can’t deport all of them. We can’t put them all in one area and have a genocide. That’s not very biblical. We can’t become Amish and ... you know, the Christians, we’re going to have our side of the world and then let the Muslims come in like crazy, and you guys have California.”

Khan believes the actual solution is to “make them Christian.”

“Like, I was a liberal Muslim. I was a very liberal Muslim. I voted blue all the time ... because we were very anti-evangelical Christian,” he explains.

“For us in Islam, that’s like the spawn of Satan is what’s happening with that,” he adds.

“And would you say there’s an aspect of being anti-Israel and perceiving Republicans as being pro-Israel as part of it?” Stuckey asks.

“Totally,” he answers, pointing out that many Americanized Muslims are sending money to places like Pakistan.

“They’re still funding Islam. They still send thousands of dollars to mosques, to overseas initiatives ... Nigeria or Ethiopia or Afghanistan or Pakistan, they’re all getting discipled by the same people,” he explains.

This is why Khan believes that the only solution is to convert Muslims to Christianity, but Stuckey has her reservations.

“I think that a lot of people are afraid that going into a Muslim community and sharing the gospel, that you’re going to get hurt, that you’re going to get threatened or killed or whatever,” Stuckey points out.

“Should they have that fear?” she asks.

“I purposely go to Dearborn and the mosques, and I go right to them. They all know my face. I get recognized immediately in all these places, and I still have fruitful conversations with them because I’m not doing what a lot of the big Christian apologists are doing,” he explains.

“The truth is, it’s Hebrews 2. It says the fear of death is from Satan and that Christ became one of us to break that fear of death over us,” he says. “And so, we need to get really radical.”

“If we are Christian, and we really believe that Islam is a stronghold, a demonic stronghold on two billion people, there’s going to be a very muddy and bloody consequence to a lot of things. But the thing that I cling to personally is He did it first,” he continues, adding, “Christ did it first.”

Pregnant woman reveals method to make her unborn son gay — and progressive moms cheer

A very disturbing TikTok video has gone viral after a pregnant woman recorded herself playing ABBA songs to make her unborn son gay — while thousands of mothers cheered her on in the comments and across social media.

The video shows her blasting the lyrics “Gimme, gimme, gimme a man after midnight” next to her stomach.

BlazeTV host Allie Beth Stuckey is shocked to read the comments, which include things like, “My son is 4 and exclusively listens to Sabrina Carpenter. Hopes are very high for him being gay.”

“My son just officially came out a few months ago,” reads another comment with a cheering emoji.

Another one reads, “My son was born to ‘Dancing Queen.’ I have high hopes for him.”

“This is disgusting that you are thinking about your child’s sexuality,” Stuckey says.

“It’s a horrible thing to wish on someone. It is. Now, I’m a Christian, and I believe that homosexuality is a sin, OK. But I also think that it’s bad for society to encourage this kind of thing,” she continues.

“We should be encouraging our boys to be strong and to be brave and to be protectors and to be fighters and to rein their masculine energy into good things. Yes, and you can call that old-fashioned, but it’s true,” she adds.

Stuckey likens these mothers’ hopes for gay sons to “conversion therapy” and calls it “very, very grotesque.”

“I talk about this concept of what I call ‘toxic mommy culture’ in my book, ‘You’re Not Enough (and That’s Okay)’ — when moms make their feelings and their validation and their social image the highest priority and they project that onto their kids and they use their children as props to perform this, like, progressivism on social media for likes, affirmation, cultural approval,” Stuckey says.

“I just find this little thing that this mother is doing gross. ... Kids are always the unconsenting subjects of progressive social experiments,” she continues. “It’s not good.”

'People were upset I wore pants': Jinger Duggar Vuolo on rejecting unbiblical rules

Jinger Duggar Vuolo grew up in a strict household under legalism, before allowing biblical truth, the true gospel, to help her break free.

Jinger was schooled in the teachings of Bill Gothard, who was a man that claimed his teachings were the word of God that everyone should abide by.

“His side was more man-made rules,” she tells Allie Beth Stuckey of “Relatable.” “If you looked at the lives of his followers, sadly, they were living a lie. Half of them were not able to stop the indulgence of their flesh, because it was outward things they were doing.”

“Some of them may have been believers, some of them weren’t, but they were trying to find a key outside of scripture, outside of themselves, that was not from the Lord,” she continues, noting that Gothard himself was accused by multiple women of sexual misconduct.

“It was all outward. So the external side of that, that focus on the externals like the Pharisees, really, I think that’s what was driving his teachings. So you prop people up until you can’t anymore, and then when real life hits, when temptation comes, they fall, because they were not truly the Lord's, or they were not truly grounded in the word,” she explains.

Jinger herself was praised for what she was able to accomplish externally, like dressing modestly.

“I was trying to keep up all the outward things until I couldn’t anymore, until I was so broken, and I wasn’t saved until the age of 14,” she says. “So that was something I noticed, this pattern of just trying to keep everyone happy around me, and it wasn’t until I realized I can’t do that whenever I have differences and disagreements.”

“Whenever I stopped walking in those teachings of Bill Gothard, it immediately shifted, and I had people mad at me for living by conviction. When I started wearing pants, it was hard. There were people who were very upset about that and they felt like I was walking away from the faith for marrying someone who was in a different theological camp than me,” she continues.

“But we’re not talking about immodest,” Stuckey comments, adding, “Because that is what it is. You realize that, OK, that is not necessarily the biblical standard of modesty. Yes, we’re supposed to be modest, but it is not a biblical dictate that women have to be wearing dresses or skirts.”

RFK Jr. caught on camera walking into airplane bathroom BAREFOOT

Most of the time when people are photographed barefoot, they’re either by the pool, on the beach, taking a yoga class, or doing something we probably don’t want to know about.

They’re rarely, if ever, on airplanes.

Except if they’re RFK Jr. Apparently, he doesn’t wear shoes (or socks) on commercial aircraft.

He was recently photographed walking down the aisle of an American Airlines flight into the bathroom wearing absolutely nothing on his feet.

You may be wondering how credible the photograph is, considering we do live in a day and age of Photoshop, AI, and deepfakes, and you’d be right to be skeptical.

However, the picture was taken by Justin Haskins, co-author of Glenn Beck’s latest book, "Dark Future,” and a repeat guest on Allie Beth Stuckey’s show.

That’s how we know “this is a genuine picture,” says Allie, who jokingly calls herself the “air travel czar,” given her rigid rules when it comes to flying commercially.

Shortly after the “incident,” Allie released the following statement on Instagram:

While this is obviously humorous, walking barefoot down an airplane aisle is no laughing matter. Going barefoot in public can expose you to any number of germs, fungal infections, and sharp objects (and crumbs, obviously). That said, keep your shoes on when you're out in public – Stay safe, Blaze News readers.

Man conceived through rape EXPOSES Planned Parenthood's RACIST roots

Ryan and Bethany Bomberger co-founded the Radiance Foundation to fight to show the world the value and purpose of every life — but it has not been without resistance.

“I remember being told to my face in a debate at Harvard that basically, I should have been aborted,” Ryan tells Allie Beth Stuckey.

Ryan’s mother conceived him through rape, yet he was given a chance to live. “I am that fringe case. I’m the 1% that’s used 100% of the time to justify abortion, and I thank God for a courageous birth mom who not only gave me the gift of life but gave me the gift of adoption.”

Their fight to show mothers that there are options other than abortion took an interesting turn when the Radiance Foundation was sued by the NAACP.

The foundation was the first organization to launch public ad campaigns targeting the disproportionate impact of abortion in the black community. The campaigns featured 60 billboards across San Francisco that read “Black and Beautiful. TooManyAborted.com.”

The ad campaign was not only meant to illuminate just how tragic abortion has been for the black community but to call out Planned Parenthood’s eugenic past and unaltered and elitist DNA.

“We were just bashed,” Ryan tells Stuckey. “We were denounced by a group that I grew up revering: NAACP. They called our campaign horribly racist and that it gave the false impression that Planned Parenthood kills black babies.”

“That was the first moment when I realized civil rights had gone wrong,” he adds.

This is when Ryan decided to write an article titled “The National Association for the Abortion of Colored People” — and when the NAACP decided to sue.

Ryan “never thought it would even go to court, because hello, brown guy exercising, you know, civil rights, free speech.”

However, what’s obvious to Ryan and Bethany isn’t so obvious to everyone else — especially other activists.

“I mean, they say on one hand ‘Black Lives Matter,’ but then they are standing in solidarity with the leading killer of black lives,” Ryan says, adding, “We’ve been calling that out for years. We’ve been extolling the truth that black lives matter, that every single life created in the image of God — which is all of us — matters.”

Not only do these activists seem unaware of the blatant hypocrisy that is essentially the foundation of their ideology, but the very foundation of Planned Parenthood has extremely racist roots.

“Let’s look at the history of Planned Parenthood, let’s look at the history of Margaret Sanger. Let’s look at how specifically anti-black eugenics was tied into the very foundation, the very fabric of Planned Parenthood,” Stuckey says.

While Margaret Sanger was an admitted white supremacist, Ryan notes that Planned Parenthood has gotten worse than it was when it was run by her.

“It’s interesting,” he adds, “because you hear people make the argument, ‘Well, Planned Parenthood’s not the same today as it was during Margaret Sanger’s days.’ And I’m like, actually it wasn’t as evil. It wasn’t quite as evil. It’s worse now because they’re actually killing millions of human beings.”

Trans man discloses the HORRIFYING reality of gender transition surgery: 'I've lost absolutely everything'

Scott Newgent is a 47-year-old transgender man and the founder of TReVoices, where she is an outspoken advocate against child transgender “treatments.”

Newgent found herself in a vulnerable position when her Catholic wife began to joke that Newgent was a man born in a woman’s body, and the two decided to see a transgender therapist.

“I started to think, wow, what would my life have been like if I was born a male?” Newgent tells Allie Beth Stuckey.

But she wasn’t born a male, and now children who are much more vulnerable than she was are being affected.

“42% of these boys would grow up to be, you know, homosexual males or same-sex attracted,” she tells Stuckey.

“We have a society that thinks that transgenderism and homosexuality are the same thing.”

“There’s no study that says it’s beneficial for these kids. There’s seven studies that came out and said they were beneficial — all been retracted or modified,” Newgent explains.

However, Newgent wasn’t privy to all the information she has now and chose to begin medically transitioning just weeks after she met with the transgender therapist.

Now it’s left her with health complications.

“It was wow, I wonder if I was born in the wrong body. Next week, therapist. Next week, hormones. Next week, appointment for the plastic surgeon for the top surgery. Four weeks later I had my first surgery,” she tells Stuckey.

In the eight years since she began her medical transition at age 42, she’s had seven surgeries.

“I’ve had a pulmonary embolism, I’ve had a stress-induced heart attack, I have had a reoccurring infection, I mean, to the end I had an IV sick tube or picc tube or whatever in my heart,” she explains, but that’s not all she’s suffered.

“I have a handicapped arm for life, I had a ligament protruding through it, I’ve had sepsis, I’ve lost my house, my car, my home. Everything, I’ve lost absolutely everything.”
