Musk says there appears to be much more 'interest in pursuing Trump compared to other people in politics'

After former President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that his attorneys had been notified that he had been indicted, business magnate Elon Musk noted that there appears to be significantly more interest in going after Trump than other political figures.

"There does seem to be far higher interest in pursuing Trump compared to other people in politics. Very important that the justice system rebut what appears to be differential enforcement or they will lose public trust," Musk wrote.

The former president has maintained that he is completely innocent.

"I have been summoned to appear at the Federal Courthouse in Miami on Tuesday, at 3 PM. I never thought it possible that such a thing could happen to a former President of the United States, who received far more votes than any sitting President in the History of our Country, and is currently leading, by far, all Candidates, both Democrat and Republican, in Polls of the 2024 Presidential Election. I AM AN INNOCENT MAN!" he declared in a statement.

Special counsel Jack Smith said during remarks on Friday that an indictment unsealed on Friday charges "Trump with felony violations of our national security laws" and "participating in a conspiracy to obstruct justice."

The indictment comes as Trump is currently running for president again, leading the pack of Republican presidential candidates vying to become the party's 2024 presidential nominee.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who is among the field of candidates running for the Republican presidential nomination, issued a tweet in which he said, "The weaponization of federal law enforcement represents a mortal threat to a free society. We have for years witnessed an uneven application of the law depending upon political affiliation. Why so zealous in pursuing Trump yet so passive about Hillary or Hunter? The DeSantis administration will bring accountability to the DOJ, excise political bias and end weaponization once and for all."

Musk responded to someone's suggestion that "Trump should do a Twitter space to talk about the sham indictment."

"That would be interesting," Musk replied.

Trump was permanently suspended from Twitter in 2021, but while Trump's account was reinstated after Musk took over the company, Trump has not returned to using the platform.

Target boycotts and threats are 'literally terrorism' says economics professor on MSNBC

Target boycotts and threats are 'literally terrorism' says economics professor on MSNBC

A University of Michigan professor referred to boycotts and threats against big-box retailer Target as a form of literal terrorism in a recent interview on MSNBC, Newsweek reported.

Target recently dropped a whopping $9 billion in market value due to the retailer's rollout of its highly questionable LGBTQ Pride collection. It took just a week for the brand's value to drop 12% after it was revealed that the stores sold LGBTQ-themed onesies for babies, children's books advocating for drag queen shows, and "tuck-friendly" bathing suits.

A Target spokesperson said that threats had been made impacting "team members' sense of safety and wellbeing while at work," and the company subsequently decided to remove "items that have been at the center of the most significant confrontational behavior."

"Obviously any incident that would put employees at risk is something that any company would wisely take seriously," Target spokesperson Kelly O'Keefe commented. "This is a reflection of an unfortunate moment in our history, when one has to assume serious risk might be real."

Justin Wolfers, a professor of public policy and economics at the University of Michigan, likened threats and boycotts to control what type of products Target pushes to a form of terrorism.

"One of two things are true. It could be [Target] are cowards and they use that as protection and a smokescreen so they could make a cowardly decision, or it could be that they are actually genuinely concerned about the well-being of their employees and they have had credible threats," Wolfers said on MSNBC's "The 11th Hour."

"If that is the case, when Target caves into this, then it says that the moment you threaten the employees of even a very large corporation, you get to control its policies. This is economic terrorism, literally terrorism, creating fear among the workers and forcing the corporations to sell the things you want, not sell the things you don't."

— ALX 🇺🇸 (@ALX 🇺🇸) 1685410675

Wolfers added that he found Target's response to be "quite scary."

The professor joins some queer and transgender designers who blamed "domestic terrorists" for the removal of products from Target. "We are saddened to say that the majority of our collection has been removed from Target stores due to threats from domestic terrorists," read a post by a brand called Ash + Chess.

Target had previously sold one of the brand's shirts that read "Trans People Will Always Exist."

However, Target stores in three states allegedly received bomb threats for reportedly relocating the Pride collection or removing LGBTQ products, not for including the clothing in the first place.

In a leaked memo to employees, Target CEO Brian Cornell reportedly called it "gut-wrenching" to see what employees have "confronted" in store aisles.

Kohl's faces potential 'Bud-lighting' over its LGBT agitprop targeting toddlers

Concerned parents and other conservatives, newly reminded of their capacity to hold businesses accountable, are prepared to once again wield the power of the purse. This time, the department store chain Kohl's is the business believed to be deserving of a chastening.

Kohl's is ostensibly in the business of selling clothing, bedding, appliances, and ephemera. Some shoppers have highlighted that the retail chain is also in the business of peddling LGBT propaganda.

The retailer, which has over 1,100 stores in 49 states, notes on its website, "We are committed to amplifying and affirming the voices of the LGBTQIA+ community, celebrating the joy that comes from living authentically and unapologetically not just this month, but all year long."

Kohl's catalogue makes clear its commitment to advancing the LGBT agenda.

Turning Point USA ambassador Alex Lorusso noted that among the company's activist apparel is a "Baby Sonoma Community Pride Bodysuit Set," fitted for newborns, 3-month-olds, and toddlers of various sizes.

"Celebrate the joy that comes from living authentically and unapologetically during Pride month and all year long," says the outfit description on Kohl's site.

— ALX 🇺🇸 (@ALX 🇺🇸) 1685314649

Extra to selling LGBT activist baby bibs and kitsch, Kohl's also has a "gender-free fashion brand" and an activist underwear brand called TomboyX.

Like many other big companies, Kohl's activism appears to be driven, in part, by a desire to maintain its ESG score, which is based on its internal policies as well as on the degree to which it signals its ideological compliance in outward facing actions.

Forbes noted that Kohl's was ranked as a top 50 company last year on DiversityInc's Top Companies for LGBTQ Employees, "the standard metric in ESG reports on the internal policies of a company."

Target — which similarly faces a conservative boycott over its LGBT onesies for babies, "tuck-friendly" bathing suits," drag queen books for kids, and Satanic agitprop — happens to have been ranked #4 on that same ESG-linked list. Walmart was ranked #6.

Kohl's also has a perfect Corporate Equality Index score put out by the Human Rights Campaign, a powerful LGBT lobby group. This CEI score again reflects a company's subservience to the LGBT agenda.

According to Forbes, "A perfect CEI score requires donations to LGBTQ+ causes, refusal to donate to non-religious organizations that discriminate based on LGBTQ+ issues, and support of gender transition."

The company underscores in its 2022 ESG report that it is in the business of woke evangelization, stating, "We believe embedding DEI in everything we do requires an ongoing journey of listening, learning, and taking action."

The corporate leadership behind Kohl's is not interested in just selling swimwear and toasters, but "embracing opportunities to address racial, gender, sexual orientation, and economic disparities."

One of the company's stated goals is to commit $20 million "to diverse communities from 2022 to 2025," including members of the so-called "LGBTQIA+" community, noting it had already committed roughly $8 million of that goal last year.

While Kohl's is keen to push an agenda, conservatives appear keen to push back, proposing a Kohl's boycott or what some online are referring to as a "Bud-lighting," reported the New York Post.

TheBlaze previously reported that the conservative boycott of Bud Light over the beer's partnership with transvestite TikTok personality Dylan Mulvaney has been incredibly successful, as reflected by the $15.7 billion drop in Anheuser-Busch InBev's market value since April 1.

Target, another woke company caught participating in the left's cultural imperialism, has also been dealt a significant blow. Its market shares have slipped by roughly 12.6% — roughly $10 billion in market value — since conservatives began their boycott, reported Fox News Digital.

Twitter user End Wokeness wrote, "Looks like Kohl’s didn’t learn a thing from Bud Lite and Target."

One user responded, "We already know what to do. Kohl's bud light moment."

Conservative commentator Kyle Becker suggested that Kohl's, Target, and Bud Light are all "trash companies whose main customers are lower/middle class. All of them making the stupid marketing decision to Go Woke. All of them insulting Christians and normal working class parents. This will be a painful lesson for three brands that the majority of Americans don't really like anyway."

Morgonn McMichael of Turning Point USA wrote, "Kohls’s with the PRIDE BABY clothes… stop targeting children it’s gross. #BoycottTarget was the beginning here’s another to add to the list."

YouTuber "Twisted Luck Truth" was among those who first drew attention to Kohl's LGBT clothing for children:

NBCUniversal advertising figure Linda Yaccarino reportedly in talks about serving as Twitter CEO

NBCUniversal chairman of Global Advertising and Partnerships Linda Yaccarino is in discussions to serve as Twitter's CEO, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing unnamed people. The New York Times, citing two unnamed people, has reported that Elon Musk is in discussions to hire the woman for the role.

Elon Musk announced on Thursday that he has hired someone to serve as CEO of the social media platform and that she will begin the job in around six weeks, though he did not divulge the woman's identity.

"Excited to announce that I've hired a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will be starting in ~6 weeks! My role will transition to being exec chair & CTO, overseeing product, software & sysops," Musk tweeted. "The commitment to open source transparency and accepting a wide range of viewpoints remains unchanged," Musk also tweeted on Thursday.

Yaccarino's LinkedIn profile indicates that she has ties to the World Economic Forum.

"Yaccarino is the Chairman of the WEF's Taskforce on Future of Work and sits on the WEF's Media, Entertainment and Culture Industry Governors Steering Committee. She is also highly engaged with the Value in Media initiative," the LinkedIn page states.

She is the immediate past chair of the Ad Council board of directors. While serving as chair, she helped promote COVID-19 vaccination.

"As 2021-2022 Ad Council Chair, Yaccarino partnered with the business community, the White House, and government agencies to create a COVID-19 vaccination campaign, featuring Pope Francis and reaching over 200 million Americans," according to her LinkedIn profile, which also describes her a "Global Leader."

In December, Musk ran a Twitter poll asking whether he should step down from the helm of the company. More than half of the votes called for Musk to step down. "I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job! After that, I will just run the software & servers teams," he tweeted.

NBC News host actually asks if anyone will be able to 'police' what Tucker Carlson says on his new Twitter program: 'Or is this the point? It's just a free-for-all?'

On the heels of former Fox News host Tucker Carlson announcing Tuesday that he's planning a new program to air on Twitter, "NBC News NOW" guest host Tom Costello brought in former CNN host Brian Stelter for a chat about it all, NewsBusters said.

What did they say?

“Twitter was already under fire for misinformation, disinformation, all-out lies, anti-Semitism, racism before Elon Musk took over, and now it’s gotten kind of crazy, right? Seemingly unmoored, if you will,” Costello suggested to Stelter, who himself was repeatedly blasted with accusations of peddling misinformation prior to his ouster from CNN last year.

Costello continued with a jaw-dropping question: “Will anybody be able to police what Carlson says? Or is this the point? It's just a free-for-all?”

Stelter didn't appear shocked by the "police" reference: “I think this is the point. It is a free-for-all. It's what Elon Musk wants to provide. This move by Tucker may cement the idea of Twitter as a right-wing website."

“NBC’s reaction to Tucker Carlson’s Twitter show announcement: “Will anybody be able to police what Carlson says or is this the point? It’s just a free for all?”

”
— ALX 🇺🇸 (@ALX 🇺🇸) 1683688437

NewsBusters added that Stelter predicted "some users trying to go off to other sites instead.”

Costello wondered if advertisers on Twitter would "stick around now for Tucker Carlson" given the "toxic culture on Twitter," NewsBusters also noted.

“The short answer is no," Stelter replied, according to the outlet. "Carlson was radioactive. He was a drag on Fox's profits, so I don't see how Twitter will be any different for Carlson and Musk."

It's worth pointing out that after Musk bought Twitter a little over a year ago, Stelter — then CNN's chief media correspondent — wondered on air if folks will want to use Twitter if it offers them too much freedom. Musk had made it clear he aimed to open the free speech floodgates on the social media platform.

"If you get invited to something where there are no rules, where there is total freedom for everybody, do you actually want to go to that party, or are you going to decide to stay home?" Stelter asked. "And that's a question for Twitter users."

Critics often labeled Stelter a "hall monitor" of the media, and attacks against him seemed to grow louder and more frequent over time before he was finally shown the door at CNN.

Mayor demands Utah school board remove more than 100 books containing ‘pornographic’ ‘filth’ from school libraries

On Tuesday, a Utah mayor demanded that a Riverton school board take action to protect children by removing more than 100 books containing "pornographic" "filth" from the district's school libraries.

Riverton, Utah, Mayor Trent Staggs addressed the Jordan School District about "inappropriate materials and pornographic materials" in school libraries during a Tuesday school board meeting.

Staggs, elected to his second term in January 2022, told the board that the issue has become "pretty alarming," with "scores of residents" reaching out about the inappropriate books.

"I've heard from scores of residents about the concerns of inappropriate materials in schools. I received emails, phone calls, to a large extent, I need to tell you they feel like they are not being heard," the mayor stated.

Staggs noted that the city council had already emailed the school board in September regarding the issue but that the two parties still had yet to meet.

"At the end of the day, this filth needs to be removed from our schools. There's over one hundred volumes that one parent organization has put together. A hundred volumes still in Jordan School Districts that clearly violate the law," Staggs added.

The mayor argued that there is "no justifiable reason" for pornographic books to be on school library shelves.

"There's absolutely no educational value," Staggs argued. "There is so much out there that talks about how toxic this is and the effects that it has on kids long-term."

He accused the school board of failing to urgently address the issue.

"I do not want another school year to go by with these volumes still at the disposal of kids. It's within your power to set policy," Staggs continued.

According to the mayor, the district's current policy for removing inappropriate materials requires the books to be reported at each school. Staggs explained that when a book is deemed inappropriate for students at one school, it should be removed district-wide.

"No parents should have to worry when sending their children to school. No child should be made to feel uncomfortable with content that's not even allowed on the evening news," the mayor said in a statement to the Daily Caller News Foundation. "As elected officials, we have a duty to protect our most vulnerable and make sure parents can rest easy knowing their children are receiving a good education free from indoctrination or harm."

A Jordan School District spokesperson told Crisis in the Classroom that it recently revised its book review policy.

"We follow this policy when reviewing, approving, or removing materials or books in our schools," the spokesperson stated. "Our schools are a place where all are free to learn in a safe, welcoming environment. Student safety, health, and wellness is our top priority."

Elon Musk chooses perfect venue to condemn one-world government: 'The whole thing may collapse'

Elon Musk used an unlikely forum this week to protest the formation of a single global government: the "World Government Summit."

Speaking at the conference in Dubai via remote signal, Musk warned that a one-world government creates "a civilizational risk" that could result in the collapse of modern society.

"I know this is called the 'World Government Summit,' but I think we should be a little bit concerned about actually becoming too much of a single world government," Musk said.

"If I may say, we want to avoid creating a civilizational risk by having — frankly, this may sound a little odd — too much cooperation between governments," he added.

Musk explained that throughout history civilizations have risen and fallen. But neither their rise nor their fall "meant the doom of humanity as a whole because there’ve been all these separate civilizations that were separated by great distances."

Specifically, Musk cited the rise of Islam in the Middle East and the simultaneous fall of the Roman Empire, probably referring to the Eastern Roman Empire, or Byzantine Empire, which ultimately fell to the Ottoman Empire in the 15th century. He observed that this separation of empires led to the preservation of knowledge and advancement of science.

— ALX 🇺🇸 (@ALX 🇺🇸) 1676439692

"I think we want to be a little bit cautious about being too much of a single civilization because if we are too much of a single civilization, then the whole thing may collapse," Musk went on to say.

"I'm obviously not suggesting war or anything like that. But I think we want to be a little bit wary of actually cooperating too much," he said. "It sounds a little odd, but we want to have some amount of civilizational diversity such that if something does go wrong with some part of civilization that the whole thing doesn't collapse and humanity keeps moving forward."

Not only does Musk believe that a one-world government threatens society and humanity, but he has previously warned that "civilization will crumble" if people do not start having more children.

Biden admin could seek to 'weaponize' government against Twitter if Trump returns, Musk says

Business magnate Elon Musk, who purchased Twitter last year, suggested in a tweet on Wednesday that President Joe Biden's administration might attempt to "weaponize" the federal government to target Twitter if former President Donald Trump returns to the platform.

"Will be interesting to see how the Biden administration reacts to this," Musk wrote when responding to a tweet about Trump potentially returning to Twitter and Facebook. "They may try to weaponize Federal agencies against Twitter."

Twitter permanently suspended Trump in the wake of the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot — but since acquiring the company, Musk has reinstated many accounts that had previously been banned, including Trump's — however, Trump has not posted any content since being reinstated.

NBC News reported that Trump's campaign is aiming to get the former president reinstated on Facebook — he was blocked from the platform in early 2021, with the company later announcing that Trump's accounts would be suspended for a two-year period — but that period has fully passed.

"We believe that the ban on President Trump’s account on Facebook has dramatically distorted and inhibited the public discourse," the campaign wrote in a letter to Meta, according to NBC News, which reported that the campaign asked for a "meeting to discuss President Trump’s prompt reinstatement to the platform." The letter reportedly said that "every day that President Trump’s political voice remains silenced furthers an inappropriate interference in the American political and election process."

The outlet pointed to anonymous sources to report that Trump could start using Twitter again. "Trump is probably coming back to Twitter. It's just a question of how and when," a Republican said, according to NBC News. "He's been talking about it for weeks, but Trump speaks for Trump, so it's anyone’s guess what he'll do or say or when." The outlet reported that someone else said Trump had been seeking input about getting back on Twitter and that campaign advisers had mulled possibilities for Trump's initial tweet.

Recently, in a reference to the controversial issue of environmental, social, and governance investing, Musk quipped that the letter "S" in ESG means "Satanic."

Elon Musk may reveal what happened behind the scenes of Twitter's pre-election censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop story

Elon Musk suggested on Thanksgiving that he might soon reveal what had gone on behind the scenes at Twitter in 2020 when the company censored the New York Post's Hunter Biden laptop story.

Extra to atoning for what has been called "election interference," the insights Musk has teased may also show to what extent governmental and private forces colluded to affect the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.

Hope of transparency

Turning Point USA ambassador Alex Lorusso tweeted on Wednesday, "Raise your hand if you think @ElonMusk should make public all internal discussions about the decision to censor the @NYPost's story on Hunter Biden's laptop before the 2020 Election in the interest of Transparency."

Musk replied, "This is necessary to restore public trust."

“@alx @nypost This is necessary to restore public trust”
— ALX 🇺🇸 #BringThemBack  (@ALX 🇺🇸 #BringThemBack ) 1669259868

The Twitter CEO's response was retweeted nearly 16,000 times and received just under 200,000 likes.

Musk had previously indicated that he regarded Twitter's conduct ahead of the 2020 election as questionable.

On April 26, Saagar Enjeti, co-host of The Hill's web show "Rising," tweeted, "Vijaya Gadde, the top censorship advocate at Twitter who famously gaslit the world on Joe Rogan's podcast and censored the Hunter Biden laptop story, is very upset about the @elonmusk takeover."

Musk responded, "Suspending the Twitter account of a major news organization for publishing a truthful story was obviously incredibly inappropriate."

“@esaagar Suspending the Twitter account of a major news organization for publishing a truthful story was obviously incredibly inappropriate”
— Saagar Enjeti (@Saagar Enjeti) 1651005135

Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-N.Y.) told Fox news on Friday that she thinks it is "great that Elon Musk is going to expose this. Probably nothing interfered more with the 2020 election than the suppression of the evidence that was in Hunter Biden's laptop."

Tenney added that it is important that Musk "reveals the conversations as to why we're suppressing evidence" concerning the president, his son, and their connections with "corrupt organizations."

"It could have changed the election," said Tenney. "The 2020 election was decided in the swing states by 42,000 votes. ... This is the difference in the election."

Yoel Roth, the Twitter executive who had led the effort to censor the Hunter Biden laptop story, resigned on Nov. 10.

Roth had previously likened members of the Trump administration to "actual Nazis" and former Trump spokesman Kellyanne Conway to Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels.

The laptop

In April 2019, Hunter Biden, whom President Joe Biden claimed was the "smartest guy" he knows, dropped off at least one computer to Wilmington resident John Paul Mac Isaac's Mac Shop in Delaware. Biden reportedly failed both to pick up the device[s] and to pay for the repair costs — despite multiple attempts by the shop owner to get in touch with him.

One of the devices, a MacBook laptop, was full of what may ultimately prove to be incriminating evidence of various improprieties, including 459 alleged crimes.

Mac Isaac reportedly turned the laptop over to the FBI in December 2019 and then later to a lawyer for former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

Mac Isaac told reporters that, with certain theories about the fate of former DNC staffer Seth Rich in mind, he made a copy of the hard drive "because I was pretty vocal about not wanting to get murdered."

The computer store owner provided files from the device to the New York Post in October 2020.

The New York Post began reporting on the contents on Oct. 14, 2020.

The establishment censorship campaign

TheBlaze indicated that the Post took incredible heat from the Democratic Party, the left, and big tech for daring to hold the powerful to account.

CNN and MSNBC spent months dismissing the Hunter Biden laptop story, calling it "Russian disinformation."

CNN's Wolf Blitzer said on Oct. 16, 2020, "Serious questions tonight about whether the Russians are using Rudy Giuliani to interfere in the U.S. presidential election … There are fears that what Giuliani is now pushing here in the United States could actually be part of Russia's latest and very massive disinformation campaign in the U.S. presidential election."

Back when Brian Stelter still had a show on CNN, he claimed that the Post story was a "classic example of the right-wing media machine."

MSNBC's Joe Scarborough said the Post's article was "false." Joy Reid, also o the left-leaning network, downplayed critiques of Hunter Biden as "nefarious conspiracy theories."

NBC News, NPR, CBS News, and a host of print media publications were similarly guilty of downplaying the Post's reports about the Bidens, ostensibly working in lockstep with the intelligence community.

On Oct. 19, 2019, Leon Panetta, former head of the CIA; John Brennan, former head of the CIA; Michael Hayden, former head of the National Security Agency; Jim Clapper, former director of national intelligence; Nick Rasmussen, former director of the National Counterterrorism Center; Mike Vickers, former under secretary of defense for intelligence; and dozens of others penned a letter entitled, "Public Statement on the Hunter Biden Emails."

The email declared that the Hunter Biden laptop story and the evidence it discussed was likely all an utter fabrication — that it had "all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation."

Despite admitting in the letter to not knowing whether the Hunter Biden emails provided to the New York Post were "genuine" and having no "evidence of Russian involvement," the intelligence community authors suggested a "laptop op" aimed "designed to discredit Biden ... would be consistent with some of the key methods Russia has used in its now multi-year operation to interfere in our democracy."

Twitter censorship

Twitter censored posts about the story and locked the Post — the very publication founded by Founding Father Alexander Hamilton — out of its Twitter account, demanding that the outlet remove its story.

Twitter claimed that "hacked materials" had been used in the Post's exposé about Hunter Biden's emails — despite the Bidens not having expressly claimed they had been hacked.

Twitter told the Post, "In line with our Hacked Materials Policy, as well as our approach to blocking URLs, we are taking action to block any links to or images of the material in question on Twitter."

Not only had the Post been prohibited from posting about a story relevant to the 2020 election, but users were similarly blocked from sharing links to the article about Hunter Biden's party with his father and a rep from the Ukrainian gas company paying his bills.

Users who had clicked on the link were hit with a warning that said, "The link you are trying to access has been identified by Twitter or our partners as being potentially spammy or unsafe."

Only after the election took place did then-CEO Jack Dorsey admit to Congress that Twitter had made a "total mistake" by shutting down the Hunter Biden laptop story. Dorsey also claimed that the tech giant had locked the Post out of its account due to a "process error."
