Blaze News original: Biden praised on CNN, MSNBC months ago for promise not to pardon Hunter. Now there's egg on a few faces.



It's indeed a salve for the conservative soul to watch numerous prominent voices against Donald Trump speak so glowingly months ago about President Joe Biden's promise that he wouldn't pardon his son Hunter — only to have that very thing come to pass Sunday.

Tom Elliott of news and video outlet Grabien posted a nine-minute supercut of anti-Trump pundits and cable news talking heads singing Biden's praises for his no-pardon pledge and using it to rip Trump to shreds, pointing out the "contrast" with Trump's complaints that the Justice Department was weaponized against him.

'It was a moment of just moral clarity on the part of Joe Biden and couldn't have been in starker contrast to the way Donald Trump has handled his own conviction.'

Blaze News took a deeper look at the clips, and one of the first things to stand out is how often the prominent elitists in them use the same words and phrases (such as "stark" and "contrast" — and, for variety — "stark contrast") in their efforts to boost Biden and tear down Trump.

To wit: A guest of MSNBC's Joy Reid — Democrat U.S. Rep. Jared Moskowitz of Florida — told her in one clip that "the Democrats stand for the rule of law. Remember law and order. ... It is amazing to see the stark contrast between how Democrats handled today and how Republicans handled this whole thing over the last couple of weeks."

Another clip shows former federal prosecutor Preet Bharara telling MSNBC's Chris Hayes that Biden "could still pardon him; he said he won't do that ... given that it's his son. ... Pause for a moment and think about how unbelievable that is. In a million years, if the shoe were on the other foot."

Oh, how the worm has turned. Check out the carnage:

'One side: Democrats and Joe Biden protecting the justice system, and on the other, Republicans and Trump protecting Trump.'


CNN political commentator S.E. Cupp spoke during a segment titled "Biden says he won't pardon son Hunter if he's convicted" and attempted to draw a distinction between Biden and Trump: "The contrast is profound. To sit there and say, 'I'm not going to intervene in the legal process, and I wouldn't pardon my son.' ... One side: Democrats and Joe Biden protecting the justice system, and on the other, Republicans and Trump protecting Trump." You can view the clip here at the 40-second mark.

Cupp on Monday morning posted the following on X: "It doesn’t get said enough, but Trump’s enduring legacy will be convincing BOTH parties to lower the bar, and that possessing moral authority on anything is no longer a currency that matters."

Her statement was in response to the following post by never-Trump author Charlie Sykes: "Smart person texts me: 'Joe Biden has just removed the issue of pardons from the political arena for the next four years, and Trump probably once again can’t believe his own dumb f***ing luck at this point.' Sadly, I think he’s right."

'A current president of the United States has so much respect for the law that he has said he would not pardon his son ... again, it's all about the contrast.'


In another clip (1:06 mark), Mika Brzezinski of MSNBC's "Morning Joe" stated that "a current president of the United States has so much respect for the law that he has said he would not pardon his son ... again, it's all about the contrast."

The clip cuts to Willie Geist of "Morning Joe" with this take: "President Biden saying, 'I will respect whatever this jury decides' versus Donald Trump after he was convicted on 34 counts saying the entire system is rigged against him."

Brzezinski pushed out an audible snicker after Geist's pronouncement.

'How can the Justice Department be weaponized against Trump when all of that is happening?'


Over a screen title that reads, "The right accuses the DOJ of weaponizing the justice system despite Hunter Biden's prosecution & guilty verdict," MSNBC's Joy Reid states that "the president said he won't touch it; he said he's not going to pardon his son, and it seems that [U.S. Attorney General] Merrick Garland let it go through. How can the Justice Department be weaponized against Trump when all of that is happening?"

Democrat U.S. Rep. Jared Moskowitz of Florida replied, "The Democrats stand for the rule of law. Remember law and order. ... It is amazing to see the stark contrast between how Democrats handled today and how Republicans handled this whole thing over the last couple of weeks."

'Those words so completely contrast with his opponent.'


Katy Tur said in another MSNBC clip (7:36 mark) — with a screen title that reads, "Hunter Biden found guilty of 3 felony gun charges" — that the president insisted he would respect the outcome of his son's case and that "those words so completely contrast with what his opponent, now a convicted felon himself, continues to say about the U.S courts."

'The contrast to how Trump has behaved, how Trump has treated the rule of law ... this was a good day for the system.'


Chuck Todd — over an MSNBC screen title that reads, "Hunter Biden found guilty of 3 felony gun charges" — had the following to say: "The contrast to how Trump has behaved, how Trump has treated the rule of law ... this was a good day for the system, a good day for sort of America as an example of how the rule of law should work." 'Joe Biden has very clearly said he would not pardon his son, he would not commute his sentence. How stark is this difference?'


Stephanie Ruhle of MSNBC's "The Nightcap" — over a screen title that reads, "Hunter Biden convicted on gun charges" — said the following to her panel: "The latest attack is that Joe Biden has politicized and weaponized the DOJ, right? That was the whole argument around Donald Trump's conviction, and this week, of course, Hunter Biden was found guilty, and Joe Biden has very clearly said he would not pardon his son, he would not commute his sentence. How stark is this difference? I mean, how can Republicans keep making this argument now that Joe Biden has really put it out there?" You can view the clip here at the 1:28 mark.

'He is not pardoning his son ... he is not doing it because he is living what it means to have a rule of law in this country.'


Speaking to MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace over a screen title that reads, "Trump, GOP call on SCOTUS to respond to guilty verdict," former federal prosecutor Andrew Weissmann says the following: “He is not pardoning his son, which he could do. These are federal charges. He is not doing that. He is not doing it because he is living what it means to have a rule of law in this country.” After a cut in the clip, Weissmann adds, "If you want to know if he believes it, you can see what is actually happening with his own son." 'There's an opportunity here for Biden to say, you know, "The jury found [Hunter] guilty. This is how it’s supposed to work. Period. Paragraph. End of story."'


Another MSNBC clip (3:09 mark) features political commentator Molly Jong-Fast — over a screen title that reads "Press [secretary] doesn't rule out potential that Biden could commute Hunter's sentence" — offering the following take: “I think Joe Biden has a chance here to stand up for the rule of law, to say ... the law is the law, no matter who it is, no matter if it’s Trump or Biden. And remember, part of Trump-ism’s dangerousness is that it tears down institutions, important institutions of our democracy. So there's an opportunity here for Biden to say, you know, 'The jury found [Hunter] guilty. This is how it’s supposed to work. Period. Paragraph. End of story.'”

Fox News reported that Jong-Fast — after learning Biden pardoned his son — told MSNBC, "I, so, I just heard it. I have to process it. I don’t have a take. I’m sorry."

'You heard the president say he would accept the outcome of the case; I know no other word for that but "presidential."'


An MSNBC clip (4:17 mark) — with a screen title that reads, "Hunter Biden found guilty in federal gun trial" — shows former acting U.S. Solicitor General Neal Katyal saying the following to host Jonathan Capehart: "For years, these conservatives have been crowing about a politicized Justice Department, Biden politicizing it, and so on. What happened today? The Justice Department convicted the president’s own son — his only living son. You heard the president say he would accept the outcome of the case; I know no other word for that but 'presidential.'”

Capehart replied, "[Biden] even went so far as to say he wouldn’t pardon his son. That’s how much respect he has for the system.”

Interestingly, Katyal on Sunday night posted a link to an October Politico story titled, "Trump says he’s open to pardoning Hunter Biden." Katyal wrote above the link, "Just putting this out there ..."

CNN's Jim Acosta — over a screen title that reads, "Pres. Biden says he will not pardon his son" — asked author Chris Whipple for his take on Biden's declaration.

Whipple — author of "The Fight of His Life: Inside Joe Biden's White House" — replied by saying, "I thought it was extraordinary. I mean, it was a moment of just moral clarity on the part of Joe Biden and couldn't have been in starker contrast to the way Donald Trump has handled his own conviction."

In an MSNBC clip (5:05 mark) with a screen title that reads, "Biden: 'I accept the outcome' of Hunter Biden trial," former federal prosecutor Preet Bharara told host Chris Hayes the following: "He could still pardon him; he said he won't do that ... given that it's his son ... pause for a moment and think about how unbelievable that is. In a million years, if the shoe were on the other foot" — Hayes apparently uttered a dismissive huff off camera in this moment — "and Donald Trump was facing the prospect of his son being prosecuted by ... a Biden holdover or Obama holdover prosecutor, not in a million, million years would that have happened. So ... some of the people on the right, the people who support Donald Trump, are trying to cast this as some sort of clever ops program."

A longer clip of Bharara's statement was posted on the "All In with Chris Hayes" X account on June 11.

'It's a great reminder that one political party remains committed to the rule of law, and the other doesn't.'


In an MSNBC clip (5:43 mark), Democrat U.S. Rep. Jim McGovern of Massachusetts stated the following on June 11: "Hunter Biden was found guilty by a jury of his peers, just like Donald Trump. Because this is our justice system at work. The divide here is stunning. It's a great reminder that one political party remains committed to the rule of law, and the other doesn't."

According to The Hill, McGovern also said, "The contrast today is just staggering. Apparently, when a Republican is convicted, it’s weaponization. But when a Democrat is convicted — the president’s son, no less — that’s justice. I mean, give me a break."

'One of the things that anybody who spends time around Joe Biden comes to know is that he's had this long-running focus on how much he is bothered by abuses of power.'


Over a CNN screen title that reads, "Biden, for first time, says he won't commute son's sentence," New Yorker writer Evan Osnos — who also authored "Joe Biden: The Life, the Run, and What Matters Now" — said that Biden is "really" saying that "I don't plan to use the powers of the office, the powers of the presidency, to provide private relief for my family." Osnos added that, "In a sense, he's staking out a pretty bright line between being, as he says, a president and a dad, and that's not just an emotional expression; he's in effect saying, 'I don't think that I should, I don't have a right, even though it's legal' — and God knows it must be tempting — 'to use this power in a way that is not available to so many other Americans facing similar kinds of struggles.'"

Osnos said in another cut, "There's a kind of old-school, sort of flinty core to [Biden's] conception of how you are to be in the system, how you are to be as a person — a moral person — and ultimately how to contend with questions of power. One of the things that anybody who spends time around Joe Biden comes to know is that he's had this long-running focus on how much he is bothered by abuses of power."

BONUS: 'They're not even his sons; they're just sons of b***hes.'


Another clip (2:30 mark) features Ana Navarro of "The View" and sports a CNN logo on the bottom right of the screen — however, the clip appears to be from the June 14 episode of HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher," which began airing Saturdays on CNN earlier this year.

Still, the clip is worth including in this rundown. In it Navarro stated: "Joe Biden has gotten asked if he would pardon his son; he has said no. ... On the other side, you've got Donald Trump who has said that he will pardon the January 6 insurrectionists. They're not even his sons; they're just sons of bitches."

You might be surprised (or maybe not) that Navarro posted a few X entries this week after hearing that Biden did, in fact, pardon his son — and she's backing him all the way.

"Good for @JoeBiden," Navarro noted Monday. "America elected a convicted felon. That convicted felon pardoned his son-in-law’s father and appointed him Ambassador to France. If you support that, I don’t want to hear jack-s**t about Biden pardoning his son."

She also posted Monday that "Woodrow Wilson pardoned his brother-in-law, Hunter deButts. Bill Clinton pardoned his brother, Roger. Donald Trump pardoned his daughter’s father-in-law, Charlie Kushner. And just appointed him Ambassador to France. But tell me again how Joe Biden 'is setting precedent'?"

Not to put too fine a point on it, Navarro posted the following on Tuesday: "Reading all these Trumpers offended Biden LIED! Trump lied about bone spurs, lied about his taxes, lied on his bank loan applications, lied to his wives, lied about hush-money payments, lied about the 2020 election results, lied about Haitians eating cats & dogs ... shall I go on??"

Could it be that she doth protest too much? Nah.

Beauty salon owner rips Trump supporters as 'hateful' and 'misogynistic.' Now she says her clients are 'dropping like flies.'



A beauty salon owner blasted supporters of President-elect Donald Trump as "hateful" and "misogynistic," and now she's saying her clients are "dropping like flies."

Seems the hubbub, according to the New York Post, stems from a now-viral TikTok video from Tiffney Prickett, owner-operator of Voiage Salon in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

'I knew she was a Republican, which I don’t have a problem with you being a Republican. I have a problem with you wanting to strip human rights away from people. I will stand up for human rights and suffer those consequences.'

“Trump basically gave small men the ability and the courage to be misogynistic and hateful and say s**t like ‘your body, my choice’ and ‘you won’t have a choice’ and ‘you will bear my child whether you like it or not,’” Prickett said in the video, according to the Post.

“The comments are so gross. The things men say to women are so gross. And I don’t know why more men don’t come to the defense of women. I don’t know why men witness aggression towards women and stand idly by and do nothing. I don’t understand,” Prickett added, according to the paper.

The 40-year-old divorced mother of three also declared that men usually “shrug [it] off” when another man is mistreating a woman, the Post said.

“I don’t understand why more men don’t have the courage to stick up to [sic] these small men who think they can do whatever they want and say whatever they want to women. And I’m just f***ing sick of it,” she said, according to the paper.

It's unclear why a business owner in a red state like Idaho took it upon herself to rip Trump supporters, but as you might expect, the backlash was brutal.

In a subsequent video, Prickett had the following to say, according to the Post: “So this is me suffering the consequences of my own action. I just had a client send her husband into my salon and demand a refund for gift cards — pre-purchased — because of my stance that if you support a racist, homophobic, misogynist rapist, and you’re OK with those things because you supported them that you are in fact those things. And she was so offended by that, he said she did not feel comfortable coming to my salon anymore.”

The paper said she added that "I didn’t want to deal with them anyway because I knew that that whole family were Trump supporters because I’ve been doing her for 15 years, I’ve been to her family functions and family events. She’s given me gifts over the years. She was a very good client."

Prickett also said, “I knew she was a Republican, which I don’t have a problem with you being a Republican. I have a problem with you wanting to strip human rights away from people. I will stand up for human rights and suffer those consequences," according to the Post.

Pushing back against commenters who said she was “wrong” and would “lose her business," the paper said Prickett shot back that "if I lose my business because … I posted a video that said if you support a racist, misogynist, homophobic rapist, and you’re OK with it, then you are those things, I guess I lose my business."

The Post reported that another video shows Prickett saying "no" to a detractor who encouraged her to keep an open mind and engage in political dialogue across party lines. The paper said her reason is because the difference between Trump supporters and her is about "morals" rather than “opinion."

In another video from last week, the Post said Prickett shared that she lost even more Trump-supporting clients, adding that "they’re dropping like flies.”

The paper also noted that Prickett said she'd “rather go work at Chipotle” than allow Trump supporters to “feel comfortable” in her salon.

The Post noted that since her video takes went viral, the website for Prickett’s Voiage Salon "no longer appears to be active."

'Ugly rapist, criminal, traitor': Beverly Hills HS substitute teacher says she was fired due to anti-Trump posts on Facebook



A woman who reportedly began a monthlong stint as a substitute teacher at Beverly Hills High School on Nov. 4 — the day before the presidential election — said Wednesday she was fired for her "private FB posts criticizing [Make America Great Again] & the behavior of students at their MAGA rally on campus."

“I was shocked; I thought I’d get a warning,” Joanie Garratt told the Los Angeles Times. “I didn’t say anything [about Trump] in class. I know not to say anything in class. But I am disgusted with MAGA, and Beverly Hills High School has become MAGA.”

'They have no idea what they have unleashed. SCOTUS gave him free rein, Congress kisses his ass so there are no checks & balances. I have zero respect for America. I’m ashamed to be American.'

Garratt retired last year after teaching at the Beverly Hills Unified School District for almost 30 years, the Times said, adding that she was outraged by the Wednesday call from an assistant superintendent firing her. Garratt told the Times her online political posts were cited as the reason for her dismissal.

“I WEAR THIS AS BADGE OF HONOR and stand with all the teachers, past & present, who will be persecuted for expressing their views in public forum," she wrote Wednesday on Facebook. "SHAME ON BHUSD.”

The Times said a district spokesperson didn't immediately respond to the paper's request for comment regarding Garratt’s firing.

During her stint as a substitute teacher — just over a week — Garratt made numerous statements in posts and in comments on her Facebook page.

On Sunday, for example, she posted that "sixty-six percent of Jews voted for [Kamala] Harris. Thank goodness my own people did not abandon our liberal democratic tradition." In a comment under the same post, Garratt wrote that "it bothers me that some of my tribe aligned with the devil."

In comments under her Saturday post highlighting a message from the high school's student newspaper against pro-MAGA activity on campus, Garratt wrote the following:

  • "They have no idea what they have unleashed. SCOTUS gave him free rein, Congress kisses his ass so there are no checks & balances. I have zero respect for America. I’m ashamed to be American."
  • "Don’t want to see that ugly rapist, criminal, traitor gloat."
  • "They worship a fascist."
  • "I wouldn’t send my kids there today. Oh how [Beverly Hills Unified School District] has fallen from what it was… morally & academically."
  • "I would advise private school now. ... It’s not the stellar district that hired me in 1993. I was so proud to be a teacher here in this District. Now we’re a MAGA satellite."

The paper added that Garratt had a history of anti-Trump posts on Facebook prior to the district asking her to take the substitute teaching gig.

The Times said Garratt on Nov. 7 wrote on Facebook that pro-Trump students “harassed & intimidated many other non-MAGA students and specifically targeted the class where the Black Student Union was meeting, yelling all kinds of racial slurs.”

Yet another SoCal HS teacher allegedly embroiled in anti-Trump controversy — this time it's over a student's MAGA clothing



Blaze News this week has reported on several high school teachers landing in hot water due to their outbursts following Donald Trump's lopsided presidential election win over Kamala Harris.

Two of the teachers are from Southern California schools — and both were placed on administrative leave over their actions the day after the election. One is an English teacher from Chino High School who freaked out in class over a student wearing a Trump hat; the other is an Advanced Placement world history teacher from Valley View High School in Moreno Valley who went on a profane rant in class against Trump.

'If the [teacher] is exercising a First Amendment right, they risk losing their job. It's pretty straightforward.'

Now it looks like there may be a third Southern California high school teacher making the list.

Citing a parent, KABC-TV reported that a teacher departed from class at Cerritos High School last week because a student was wearing "Make America Great Again" attire.

"It was just a student wearing a shirt, probably for some jokes," fellow student Sakura Padilla told the station.

But KABC said the teacher apparently wasn't in a laughing mood and allegedly posted a long note to her students saying it's unfair that they can wear political clothing while teachers cannot.

The school district noted that it's investigating the teacher's actions, but according to the station, it isn't clear whether the teacher has returned.

The district added to KABC that students can exercise free speech within the parameters of school board and state Education Code policies.

"It's different with teachers because the teachers are the ones who are there to do a job," attorney Michael Overing — who teaches First Amendment rights at the University of Southern California — told the station.

Courts have ruled that students have more free speech leeway because they're required to attend school — but Overing noted to WABC that teachers choose to work at schools and are subject to district rules.

"If the [teacher] is exercising a First Amendment right, they risk losing their job," Overing added to the station. "It's pretty straightforward."

Furious teacher who freaked out in class over student wearing Trump hat gets placed on leave



A furious Southern California high school teacher who freaked out in a classroom over a student wearing a hat in support of President-elect Donald Trump has been placed on leave.

The Chino Valley Unified School District placed the English teacher on leave after a recording of his rant surfaced, KCAL-TV reported Wednesday.

'The district policy is that you are not allowed to wear hats in class, and it is required of a student to remove them in class. The student refused to do so.'

KTTV-TV said the outbursts from the "popular teacher" at Chino High School came the day after last week's presidential election.

Corey DeAngelis, senior fellow at the American Culture Project, posted snippets of the teacher's outbursts on X.

"A child molester, huh?" the teacher said on one video clip. "Vote for that freaking rapist. ... I'm sorry, guys. I'm sorry. I have a daughter, I have three nieces, and he'd rape them, and people are voting for him. Christians are voting for him. Bunch of losers. Fake Christians."

The teacher said in another clip, "I'm pissed, people voting for a freaking rapist, and I'm pissed off" before adding, "I don't care, fire the hell out of me. I'm fighting for my daughter, my nieces, their rights."

The teacher is heard in another clip hollering to "turn it off and ... go back to your freaking seat now! Go!" Immediately afterward, the teacher is heard speaking — presumably on a phone or intercom, "Can you send security up, please? ... I have a boy who has a Trump hat on, and I'm not gonna tolerate it today, bye bye."

In that same clip, the teacher then appears to speak to a student: "I don't care if you have a Harris hat or a Trump hat, you're outta here. You know better. Tell [Principal John] Miller, 'I should have the right to vote for a rapist and a child molester,' go for it, go for it. I don't give a F!"

'This has made a lot of students very sad because it makes the school look bad. Because it makes it look like we have crazy teachers here when we don't.'

In another clip — in which he seems to be out of breath — the teacher snaps at another student, "Excuse me! What's wrong with me?" When the student appears to ask what the other student's hat said, the teacher replies, "Trump. The rapist. Even Trumpers don't deny it; they just vote for him ... gonna get rid of 20 million immigrants. ... You know who should get out? You know who owns this land? ... Native Americans."

Students stage a walkout

KCAL said dozens of Chino High School students left their classrooms Wednesday during their second and third periods to support their teacher, whom they hadn't seen since the incident.

"The district policy is that you are not allowed to wear hats in class, and it is required of a student to remove them in class," one of the protesting students, Bridget Moore, told KCAL. "The student refused to do so."

KCAL said the school district confirmed that hats aren't permitted in classrooms.

However, Chino Valley Unified School District board president Sonja Shaw told KTTV previously that while the school has a dress code, it refers to indecent exposure and hate language — and that a Trump hat "is not out of code."

"We had many students wearing T-shirts supporting both sides of the political debate in several schools without issue," Shaw added to KTTV.

KCAL added that hundreds of students signed an online petition in support of the teacher in question, saying the recordings of his meltdown don't show what led up to it.

"He deserves to know everybody cares about him and shouldn't lose his job over something a student caused," another protesting student Katrina Munoz told KCAL.

The students who took part in the walkout were marked not present for class, KCAL added.

"This has made a lot of students very sad because it makes the school look bad," Moore also told KCAL. "Because it makes it look like we have crazy teachers here when we don't."

The Connecticut special-education teacher who threatened people who voted for President-elect Donald Trump in a viral video has resigned — and she tried to explain herself in a tearful on-camera interview.

Annie Dunleavy of Chapman Elementary School in Cheshire spoke in person with WTNH-TV, tearfully at times trying to explain herself. Her interview demeanor certainly was a stark contrast to what was seen in her viral video in which she threatened Trump voters.

In that video, she claims that "people of color and poor people and gay people and all the people that I care about aren't gonna be safe in America — neither the f*** are you guys. Just because you won doesn't mean we don't remember who the f*** you voted for. You're not in the clear."

She added, "Please don't test your gangster on me because you will end on a stretcher. Gone. Forever. So serious. Nobody f***in' talk to me unless you wanna swing. If you wanna fight, text me, call me, whatever. Anybody else stay the f*** outta my face."

The threatening clip ends with her saying, "And if you voted for Trump, literally please delete me, block me, get rid of everything of me — or step to me, so that I know what’s up, and I can handle you how I see fit. Please, just come forward, we f***in' know. Just tell me. Or leave."

In her interview with WTNH, however — which included the interviewer reading some of her threatening words aloud to her — Dunleavy acknowledged, "It sounds very extreme, and again, I was in a moment of high emotions, and I shouldn’t have ever posted the video. But ... the message I was trying to get across, and it came off very wrong was ... if this is going to give people the almost permission in their minds to enact violence against women or anybody, I wanted to basically just say, like, I’m not going to go down without a fight."

The station said Dunleavy also declared that "I will fight for myself, and if someone was to try to hurt me, I would protect myself.”

Another clip of the interview shows Dunleavy in tears: "I mean, you know, it's my life's dream to be a teacher. I consider those kids my kids because I don't have any of my own. And they fill that for me, and it's so fulfilling, it's so rewarding. ... I know that what people see right now, I don't look like that person, but I truly would do anything to help any child and any family in need."

WTNH added that Dunleavy said she's been getting threats and has moved out of her home. She added to the station that Cheshire police — which had launched an investigation into her viral video — told her Wednesday she won't face any charges.

WTNH prefaced the snippet by indicating she "apologized to her students," and the station noted in its story that Dunleavy "is sorry" — but there is no apology from her in the station's video snippet. Perhaps an apology will be part of the full interview with Dunleavy, which WTNH said will air 10 a.m. Sunday.

Samantha Rosenberg, chair of the Cheshire Board of Education, said in a written statement that the board recognizes “the intense emotions this situation has stirred," the station reported.

“The Board of Education is united in finding the teacher’s behavior reprehensible and unacceptable, and we are horrified and deeply offended by statements made in the video,” the statement reads in part, WTNH reported.

Prior to Dunleavy resigning, Cheshire Public Schools' Superintendent Jeff Solan said she was placed on leave until the outcome of an investigation, WFSB-TV reported. Solan added that once the video went viral, the district received a large number of calls — mostly from people outside the Cheshire community — and that business couldn't be conducted as usual with the teacher on campus.

WTIC-TV reported that the Cheshire Town Council held a meeting Tuesday night, and some parents said they weren't happy with what was expressed in the video.

WTIC reported that Amy Bourdon — a Cheshire mom whose son with special needs attends school in the district — said, "I saw a woman in crisis, and then when I replayed it a couple of times, I got up from my table and went and locked my front door."

Bourdon — who is a Republican, WTIC said — added that "we are the targets. Our lives have been targeted by an individual that cashes a paycheck from the town of Cheshire every week."

Lorie Barnes told WTIC that “I'm tired of being a Trump supporter and whispering."

Barnes, who's lived in Cheshire all her life, added to WTIC that her grandson will be moving from England and entering the Cheshire school district — and now that terrifies her.

"I can't unsee the video ... and I can't walk into that school. ... I’m literally shaking, I can't walk into that school and hand my kid off to that person," Barnes told WTIC.

A Connecticut teacher — who reportedly is assigned to special education at a public elementary school — has been placed on leave after a video circulated showing her threatening people who voted for President-elect Donald Trump.

In the video, she claims that "people of color and poor people and gay people and all the people that I care about aren't gonna be safe in America — neither the f*** are you guys. Just because you won doesn't mean we don't remember who the f*** you voted for. You're not in the clear."

Cheshire Public School’s Superintendent Jeff Solan said he was made aware of the Snapchat video over the weekend and that the teacher — whom the district has not identified — was placed on leave until the outcome of an investigation, WFSB-TV reported.

Solan told the station that the district received a large number of calls — mostly from people outside the Cheshire community — and that business couldn't be conducted as usual with the teacher on campus.

A police presence was put in place out of an abundance of caution, WFSB said, adding Cheshire police stated that they've launched their own investigation.

WTIC-TV reported that it learned the teacher is assigned to special education at Chapman Elementary School in Cheshire.

Solan told WFSB the teacher intended the video as a private message to her Snapchat group and that she expressed her personal opinion, not the opinion of Cheshire Public Schools.

WFSB added that Kate Dias, president of the Connecticut Education Association, released a statement about the teacher’s video in regard to respecting free speech:

CEA values the right to free speech and respects the diverse opinions of our members. We know that emotions can run high after an election, and we encourage everyone to engage in respectful conversations as part of our democratic process. Keeping our discussions civil and focused is important in maintaining a positive environment in our schools. We must continue to share our views constructively while prioritizing respect, unity, and our shared commitment to educating and caring for our students.

'This s**t is not a f***ing game': Anti-Trump teacher's profane, post-election rant in AP history class costs him bigly



A southern California public high school teacher went on a profane rant in his Advanced Placement world history class against President-elect Donald Trump the day after the election — and that teacher has been placed on administrative leave.

KABC-TV reported that the teacher from Valley View High School in Moreno Valley, which is in Riverside County, used profanity and "made fervent anti-Trump remarks during a discussion with students."

The station said the unnamed teacher's comments were recorded and have gone viral on social media.

"This s**t is not a f***ing game!" the teacher told students. "Does that make sense, everybody? I can't emphasize this enough. Can you end up in a concentration camp in your lifetime? Yes. Can you end up with no human rights? Yes. Will it happen to you? Most likely not, which is a good thing. But has Donald Trump quoted Hitler? Yes. Does he embody some of Hitler's ideas? Yes."

The teacher also seemed incredulous that Trump handily beat Vice President Kamala Harris: "Why did he win the election? A rapist, draft-dodging coward. Treasonous scum. Why would he win?"

He also said, "God, I f***ing hate the patriarchy. If you're a young man right now in front of me, I hope you hate it, too. Because it's not hurting you; it's hurting everyone you love. You get the privilege of not being born with a uterus, so it doesn't affect you; it's affecting everyone else. I'm so f***ing sorry, guys. You deserve better. Look at me! You! Deserve! Better!"

Corey DeAngelis, executive director of the Educational Freedom Project, posted numerous snippets of the teacher's rant on X.

Now what?

A Moreno Valley Unified School District spokesperson told KABC the teacher will be on administrative leave pending the outcome of a review.

"We were recently made aware of an incident at one of our high schools, in which a staff member's discussion about the election results turned unprofessional," the district said in a statement, according to the station. "We do not condone the behavior that occurred, and an immediate investigation has been launched."

Student walkout planned

Students told KABC they're planning a school walkout Tuesday in support of the teacher; the station added that more than a thousand people have signed an online petition urging the district to allow him to return to Valley View High.

"It's just devastating to know that they're trying to get him out all because of his opinion," student Sarah Ghawi told KABC.

Mykael James, who was in the class Wednesday, added to the station, "I think they're trying to make him seem like a bad guy because of what he said. I know it was very strong-toned, but that's how he gives his lecture as a professor."

James also told KABC she believes her teacher's words were "appropriate. I didn't take it the wrong way." She also told the station he was "offering up a one-on-one apology after class."

Not the only incident

The Valley View High School teacher's outbursts were not the only recent cases of Trump derangement syndrome exhibited by America's educators.

  • An Ohio high school English teacher reportedly was placed on administrative leave over a TikTok video in which she encourages men who voted for Democrats to identify themselves so that women will know who the “safe men” are.
  • A Florida high school teacher reportedly was suspended and is under investigation after telling students, "If you are not white, you are going to be in trouble over the next four years as far as the living situation of the United States, and I'm not kidding."
  • An Idaho high school teacher reportedly is under fire after allegedly telling a Trump supporter on social media, "I hope your mistress or daughter have an unwanted pregnancy, wait, I looked at your picture, you don’t have a mistress…and probably never got anyone to have a daughter by you unless it was by force."

Oregon U. official reportedly says 'go f*** yourself if you voted for Donald Trump.' He's also a hazing prevention speaker.



A University of Oregon administrator said, "Go f*** yourself if you voted for Donald Trump," according to a campus newspaper, which included video of the rant in its story.

What's more, the school official also is a hazing prevention speaker who reportedly did jail time over a fatal fraternity hazing incident in 2012.

The Daily Emerald reported that assistant director of fraternity and sorority life Leonard Serrato posted an Instagram story after this week's presidential election in which Trump handily beat Democratic nominee Kamala Harris.

'I'm done crying. My sadness is over. My anger has set in. I am a very petty person, and I am very proud of that. Love it about myself, actually.'

The paper said Serrato told his followers on the social media platform — some of whom are Oregon students — "You can literally go f*** yourself if you voted for Donald Trump. If you are so sad about your groceries being expensive, get a better f***ing paying job. Do better in life. Get a f***ing education. Do something, 'cause you’re f***ing stupid."

Before he made a sideways peace sign in the clip, the rant ended with him saying, "And I hope you go jump off of a f***ing bridge."

A longer version of the rant includes the following preface: "I'm done crying. My sadness is over. My anger has set in. I am a very petty person, and I am very proud of that. Love it about myself, actually. And so, I say this in the most disrespectful way possible: I don't care if you are my family. I don't care if you are my friend. I don't care if we've been friends our entire lives."

The Daily Emerald reported that Serrato later posted an Instagram Reel in which he discusses the presidential election results. The paper said he addressed students, including those of “color” and who identify as “LGBTQIA," and encouraged them to “take care of yourself and know that you have my support.”

The Daily Emerald said Serrato soon made his Instagram account private and declined to comment to the paper.

University of Oregon spokesperson Eric Howald told the Daily Emerald the “university is currently collecting more information about the situation" and that for now "it appears that the individual made the post on their own time, which is well within their rights."

What else do we know about Serrato?

Serrato's LinkedIn profile indicates he's also a hazing prevention speaker. A month ago, Serrato reposted on his LinkedIn page a short item about himself from ForCollegeForLife — and the following excerpt appears to explain why he speaks against hazing:

Leo Serrato could have never imagined he’d be delivering this message.

Before August 31, 2012, his fraternity membership experience had been typical. That night, however, changed everything. One of the new members of his chapter died in an alcohol-related hazing incident. Due to his involvement, Leo was charged and sentenced to jail time, and, because of this, he made it a personal mission to work to end hazing.

He vowed to his brother he would not let his death be in vain.

A 2018 profile story in the Sonoma State Star student newspaper about Serrato — who had just become the new lead campus advisor for fraternity and sorority life at Sonoma State — noted that Serrato "was involved in a hazing related death while attending Fresno State in 2012, where one of his pledges died from excessive drinking caused by hazing."

The Star added that Serrato pleaded "no contest to a misdemeanor charge of hazing and providing alcohol to a minor causing death in 2014. According to the Press Democrat, he was sentenced to 90 days in the Fresno County Jail, 90 days in the county’s adult offender work program, three years probation, and a $220 fine."

Serrato was quoted in the story: “When I was new member educator, one of our new members passed away from a hazing related incident and it was that incident that truly inspired me and opened up my eyes to what my mission and purpose is in life and that is to educated [sic] students on hazing."

Howald on Thursday afternoon didn't immediately respond to Blaze News' request for comment asking whether the University of Oregon knew about the charges against him when it hired Serrato.

'We did not expect this result': Trump-hating New York AG Letitia James vows to 'fight back' in wake of Trump's election win



Far-left New York Attorney General Letitia James campaigned for her office on the promise that she would go after Donald Trump — and has done so relentlessly.

In the wake of Trump's resounding presidential victory over Democrat Kamala Harris, James gave a bizarre and cryptic speech Wednesday promising repeatedly that she would "fight back" against Trump's incoming administration.

'So no matter what the next administration throws at us, we're ready. We're ready to respond to their attacks.'

While James started off congratulating Trump on his win, she immediately went negative and said "if possible" her office will work with his administration.

"But we will not compromise our values, our integrity, our principles,” James added.

It should be noted that James' delivery of her speech was dramatic to the hilt — full of whispered endings to phrases and frequent pauses, as well as clipped, halting pronunciations of key words that seemed to reflect anger, shock, and sadness over Trump's victory.

"We did not expect this result, but we are prepared to respond to this result," James went on to say. "And my office has been preparing for several months because we've been here before. We faced this challenge before, and we used the rule of law to fight back. And we are prepared to fight back once again because as the attorney general of this great state, it is my job to protect and defend the rights of New Yorkers and the rule of law. And I will not shrink from that responsibility."

James acknowledged that her office between 2019 and 2021 took nearly 100 legal actions against Trump’s previous administration.

"We know their playbook," she added. "We know Project 2025 before it was even published. And we have been working both in my office and with other Democratic [attorneys general] across this country to make sure that we would be ready to respond to any attempt to roll back our rights.”

James — still projecting drama-filled tones — appeared to be giving the ultimate pep talk.

"So here we are," she concluded. "We studied their platforms. We've identified certain possibilities, fact patterns. We've created contingency plans. So no matter what the next administration throws at us, we're ready. We're ready to respond to their attacks. We're ready to respond to any attempts to cut or eliminate any funding to the great state of New York, as the governor outlined. So, despite what has happened on the national stage, we will continue to stand tall in the face of injustice, revenge, or retribution."

James finally brought things to an end, seemingly rallying the leftist troops with this promise: "This is not the time to be fearful, New York, but faithful and steadfast, knowing that I, as the attorney general, along with my entire team, we are guardians of the law, and we are prepared, my friends, to fight back."

'Disgraceful'

Following the speech, Kerri Urbahn — Fox News' legal editor — blasted James for her words, calling it "maybe the most distasteful speech I've ever seen a government official give after someone won the American presidency, and I think it reflects exactly how Letitia James has been this entire time."

Urbahn added that James "has done everything in her power to destroy Donald Trump. She failed. Do you know how we know she failed? Because Donald Trump won decisively last night. This lawfare campaign that we have seen waged against Trump by attorneys general, by federal and state prosecutors, and doing so by twisting the law in ways they had never done before. ... They used the law against Donald Trump in ways they've never used against anyone else in their states, in this country, and the American people spoke loud and clear last night and said, 'We're done with this.' And yet for the attorney general of the state of New York to go on and give that speech just now is disgraceful."

While the Department of Justice has moved to end federal cases against Trump before he takes office in January, state cases against him — such as the civil fraud case James brought against Trump, resulting in more than $450 million in penalties against him — still hang in the balance.

Urbahn noted in regard to the state cases that "you would hope and you would think" that the states would take similar stances as the federal government. She said that Judge Juan Merchan will decide next week if immunity applies following the headline-grabbing trial earlier this year in which a Manhattan jury found Trump guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records. What's more, Trump's sentencing is scheduled for the end of November.

But Urbahn cautioned Merchan, saying he should "think long and hard" about any further lawfare against Trump, given that widespread negative reaction to it was a big part of why Trump won back the White House so decisively this week.

She also said James "abused the law" against Trump and said the New York appellate court was "incredibly skeptical" of James' civil fraud case against Trump. "I think he's actually going to win that case, and I think that court has been holding that decision for after the election."

Don't forget

Readers of Blaze News likely haven't forgotten when New York City Fire Department members heckled James with boos at an official ceremony earlier this year, presumably over her anti-Trump antics. James motioned with her hands and told her apparent underlings to "simmer down" — but soon the firefighters began chanting, "Trump! Trump! Trump!" Check out the heat here.

Unbelievably, FDNY Chief of Department John Hodges in response "fired off an email to other agency honchos warning a reckoning led by the department’s Bureau of Investigation and Trials was coming over the chorus of boos and chants of 'Trump' that James received," the New York Post reported.

"BITS is investigating this, so they will figure out who the members are,” Hodges wrote in an email to FDNY leadership, according to the Post, adding that "I recommend they come forward. I have been told by the commissioner it will be better for them if they come forward, and we don’t have to hunt them down."

In addition, a U.S. District Court judge said the chanting against James wasn't about politics but about race.
