Antifa militants have their way with Portland cops, throwing snowballs at their backs before officers finally take cover in bureau

Video shows a crowd of Antifa militants outnumbering a pair of Portland police officers who then apparently decide they don't want to stick around and talk about the snowy weather.

The clip then shows the cops walking quickly down a sidewalk as the militants repeatedly holler "Quit your jobs!" and actually throw snowballs and kick snow at the officers.

Soon the officers arrive at the city of Portland Police Bureau where a door opens for them, and the cops retreat from the indignity, the door closes, and the militants celebrate getting away with it:

What was the reaction?

Commenters reacting to the Twitter video posted early Saturday morning seemed decidedly disgusted at the continued lack of respect for police — and especially the danger that such demonstrations of disrespect without consequences can embolden others:

  • "I'm surprised the police don't just quit, then maybe the powers that be will realize that law and order must be upheld!" one commenter declared. "I just find it so unbelievable that this behavior is allowed to continue!"
  • "What a bunch of f***ing oxygen thieves," another user said, noting "they deliberately taunt and harass the police, all while holding cameras, in the hope that one of the officers reacts to the abuse ... so they can then use the footage to support their police brutality narrative."
  • "Damn this pisses me the F#$* off....!" another commenter wrote. "Why the hell are they not arresting these stupid, moronic assholes for assault? This is why this country is so damn screwed up....!"
  • "These same kids would cry murder if these cops came to their workplace threw snowballs at them and shouted 'quit your job,'" another user said.
  • "Time for the mayor and officers to show some force already," another commenter opined. "This is difficult to watch."

Anything else?

Cops have been subject to this kind of humiliating abuse for some time. As politicians and police officials began tying officers' hands in fear of brutality accusations, cop haters seemed to test the waters — and lo and behold discovered they could carry out abusive behavior upon police without retaliation.

Of course, it escalated around the country after the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis last May, but readers of TheBlaze no doubt recall a similar scene in New York City a couple of years ago when water was tossed and dumped on a pair of NYPD officers who simply walked away:

Oh, and do you remember what happened to the reputed gangbanger arrested in connection with the water-dumping incident — who also was on probation and had been busted over 20 times?

His punishment was 10 days of community service.

Protesters create large snow barrier outside precinct to prevent Seattle cops from responding to emergencies

Purported members of Antifa worked together to create a snow barricade outside a Seattle, Washington, police precinct in order to prevent police from responding to calls during a Friday and Saturday snowstorm.

What are the details?

According to Fox News, protesters created a ramp of snow at least three feet tall outside the city's East Precinct building, which was at the center of the CHOP zone over the summer.

The barricade effectively prevented officers' vehicles from leaving the building.

The outlet notes that around a dozen demonstrators gathered outside the precinct and gleefully cheered when they saw that police were unable to leave the precinct in their vehicles.

"As the patrol car tried to leave the precinct, and was blocked by the ramp, protesters could be seen jumping up and down and celebrating, hurling snowballs at the vehicle," Fox reported.

After several unsuccessful attempts to maneuver around the large snow pile, several officers exited the precinct and worked together to shovel the snow away from the exit.

At least one officer can be heard in a social media video threatening to arrest bystanders if they "do this again."

"You cannot block police from exiting a police vehicle precinct," another officer can be heard saying.

Another video — shared by Instagram user "seattleblmflowerfairy" — shows a crowd of demonstrators telling officers that they are gathered to just have a "friendly snowball fight here at the East Precinct."

Another person can be be heard saying that "cops are being aggressive and violating people's rights" as officers begin moving people away from the area to remove the obstruction.

Moments later, an officer can be heard asking a protester if they would like a sticker.

"You seem a little angry and sad; usually stickers make people feel better," the unnamed officer can be heard saying.

The person responds, "I'm not sad. Am I angry? Yes."

Journalist Andy Ngo also shared video of the encounter on Twitter and wrote, "Overnight, #antifa in Seattle gathered to pile snow on one of the driveways of the Seattle Police east precinct (where CHAZ) used to be. They stopped police from being able to drive out to respond to calls during the snow storm."

More protest violence was reported in Portland, Oregon, on Wednesday when rioters attempted to break down the door to a police association in broad daylight.

"To those participating in the protest, this direction is being given over loudspeaker: stay on the sidewalk, do not try to break into the building or violate any other laws. If you do you're subject to arrest and/or use of force including less lethal weapons," they said in a second tweet.

Hours later, the police tweeted that the rioters had dispersed, but had vandalized the building.

"[N]o arrests were made, no force was used, and no one was injured," they added. "About 15 officers, 3 sergeants, and 1 lieutenant were pulled from patrol duties to respond to the event."

An account of an independent journalist posted a photograph of a large "Black Lives Matter" banner being held in front of the building during the protest.

They also played loud music from a speaker to disrupt a meeting inside the building, and tried to bar the door from the outside.

Portland has seen many incidents of destructive protests and rioting from people supporting the Black Lives Matter and Antifa movements. They have caused millions of dollars in damage, according to local news media.

This is hardly the first time the Portland Police Association has been targeted by anti-police rioters. In July rioters attacked the association, broke the windows, vandalized the building and started a small fire inside.
