Cops arrest thug for robbery 5 times in last 18 months — but he posts bond each time. Now he's wanted in 2 more robberies.

Los Angeles police said they're on the hunt for 20-year-old Dashawn Dow, who has been arrested for robbery five times in the last 18 months — but managed to post bond after each arrest.

Now cops said Dow is wanted in connection with two additional robberies that took place last month.

What are the details?

Police said detectives have identified Dow as a suspect in follow-home violent robberies in the Los Angeles area.

In the first incident, surveillance video recorded a grey Maserati following a male and female into the parking structure of their North Hollywood apartment complex around 1:30 p.m. Oct. 2, police said. As the victims exited their vehicle, two armed suspects demanded the victims' property, police said. Fearing for their lives, the victims complied with the suspects’ demands, after which the suspects fled with the victims’ money and jewelry, police said.

In the second incident, police said two black males confronted a male and female in the parking structure of their North Hollywood apartment complex around 12:10 a.m. Oct. 10. One of the suspects tried to forcibly remove the victim’s watch from his wrist, police said. When the victim resisted, the other suspect pressed a gun against the victim's chest. Fearing for his life, the victim gave up his property, and the suspects ran to a waiting getaway vehicle, police said.

Detectives believe Dow was involved in both incidents and that he used a gun while doing so, police said, adding that he's presently at large and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Police said they're asking anyone with information regarding Dow to contact Detectives Mrakich and Delph at 213-486-6840 or email them at RHDTIPLINE@lapd.online. During non-business hours or on weekends, calls should be directed to 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (1-877-527-3247), police said, adding that anyone wishing to remain anonymous should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477). Tipsters can go to www.lapdonline.org and click on “Anonymous Web Tip, police added.

'Fake news'?

Fox News, citing the most recent data, said robberies have dropped by about 8% through Oct. 28 this year compared to last year; but robberies remain about 5% higher than they were in 2021, the cable news network added, citing LAPD statistics.

Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon's office did not immediately respond to a request for comment, Fox News reported, adding that in a debate last week with Democrat primary challengers Gascon called the issue of rising crime in L.A. "fake news."

"The policies of George Gascon have failed us all," Jonathan Hatami — a deputy district attorney who works for Gascon but is running against him in next year's election — told the cable news network. "No consequences and no accountability just emboldens individuals like Dow."

Video: Thug walks up to Philly parking cop, shoots him from behind in 'brazen,' broad-daylight attack

Surveillance video caught the moment a man walked up to a Philadelphia Parking Authority officer last week and shot him from behind on a sidewalk in a broad-daylight attack.

What are the details?

Video shows the suspect walking up to the 37-year-old officer from behind and shooting him in the ear and shoulder around 4 p.m. Friday in the 4500 block of Frankford Avenue, WPVI-TV reported.

The officer — identified by his employer as Timothy McKenzie — collapsed on the sidewalk before help arrived, the station said.

McKenzie is in stable condition, WPVI said.

"It's brazen, and it's something we're definitely gonna do everything we can to solve immediately," Philadelphia Police Deputy Commissioner Frank Vanore said, according to the station.

It's unclear what sparked the shooting, WPVI said, adding that McKenzie is assigned to the Frankford neighborhood and is well known in the community.

"I speak to him every day," Bamba Sisoko told the station. "He's a good guy, really nice guy."

"I prayed for him," Michael Maltman added to WPVI. "I just pray to God that this ends up stopping sooner or later because people are ruining each other's lives."

What do we know about the suspect?

The suspect is described as about 5-feet-9 to 6-feet tall with a thin build, the station said, adding that he was seen wearing a navy blue hooded sweatshirt, green cargo pants, black mask, gloves, and black boots.

Police added that the suspect had a silver revolver and fled to the 1500 block of Gillingham Street toward Griscom Street.

WPVI said the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous, and anyone with information is asked to call police at 215-686-TIPS.

Anything else?

The City of Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Parking Authority each have offered $10,000 — $20,000 total — for information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the suspect, WPVI said.

"While Tim continues to improve as each day passes, we must do our part to assist law enforcement in apprehending the criminal who was intent on killing one of our enforcement officers," PPA Board Chair Beth Grossman said, according to WPVI. "We hope this $20,000 reward assists our police in capturing this criminal assailant."

Woman in hoodie leaps across Burger King counter in Bronx, tries to steal register cash. Workers drag her toward kitchen, but soon, she just casually walks out.

A woman donned in a hoodie and sunglasses was caught on video leaping across the counter of a Burger King in the Bronx to try stealing cash from the register — but after an employee pulled her off the counter and toward the kitchen, the woman soon was able to casually walk out of the restaurant.

What are the details?

The suspect placed an order inside the Burger King on Grand Concourse near East 150th Street in the Mott Haven neighborhood of the Bronx around 3 p.m. Tuesday, police told the New York Post.

Video shows her retrieving cash and handing it to the worker behind the counter — but the Post said that when the employee opened the register to look for change, the woman lunged for cash in the drawer and got about $250, police and the video indicated.

Anything else?

One of the employees, a 23-year-old man, suffered a cut on his head during the struggle with the woman but refused medical attention, the paper reported.

Police are trying to track down the suspect, described as in her 20s, around 5-foot-7-inches tall, with a dark complexion and slim build, the Post said.

She was last seen wearing black sunglasses, a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers, the paper added.
