Watch: Taylor Hawkins' son brings down the house at Foo Fighters concert, Dave Grohl breaks down to tears at all-star tribute show

On Saturday at Wembley Stadium in London, the Foo Fighters held their first concert since the death of the band's drummer Taylor Hawkins in March. There were dozens of musicians joining the legendary American rock band in the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert. The music show was full of emotion that caused Dave Grohl to break into tears. The passionate concert climaxed when Hawkins' son played the drums on an iconic Foo Fighters song.

The all-star concert featured esteemed musicians from Metallica, AC/DC, Queen, The Police, and Rush. The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert began with Grohl playing drums and Oasis singer Liam Gallagher on vocals. After they played the Oasis song "Ronk N' Roll Star," Grohl honored Hawkins with a speech.

Tonight we’ve gathered here to celebrate the life, the music, and the love of our dear friend, our bandmate, our brother Taylor Hawkins. For those of you who knew him personally, you knew that nobody else could make you smile or laugh or dance or sing like he could. For those of you who admired him from afar, I’m sure you’ve all felt the same thing. So tonight we’ve gathered with family and his closest friends, his musical heroes and greatest inspirations to bring you a gigantic f***ing night for a gigantic f***ing person. So sing and dance and laugh and cry and f***ing scream and make some f***ing noise so he can hear us right now. Cause you know what? It’s going to be a long f***ing night, right?

Grohl became emotional while singing the Foo Fighters classic song "Times Like These." The Foo Fighters frontman was forced to pause the performance as he attempted to choke back tears and regain composure to finish the song.

Another sentimental moment happened later in the show when Hawkins' son joined the Foo Fighters. Shane Hawkins took over for his deceased dad and played the drums on the song "My Hero."

Taylor Hawkins, 50, died on March 25 in Bogotá, Colombia. Hawkins reportedly had 10 different substances in his system at the time of his death, including marijuana, opioids, tricyclic antidepressants, and benzodiazepines.

Proceeds from Saturday's concert will go to charities Music Support and MusiCares – which were chosen by the Hawkins family.

A second Taylor Hawkins Tribute concert will be held at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on Sept. 27.

Science reporter apologizes for 'inadvertently causing entire global monkeypox outbreak' with one HILARIOUS typo

Monkeypox has been making headlines in recent months as more than 2,000 cases have been reported in the United States so far this year, according to the CDC. Many are wondering if the dreaded disease will be the next pandemic to sweep across the globe, and it's no wonder with people like "James Lim, MD" posting things like this on social media:

“OK what's going on here?”
— James Lim, MD (@James Lim, MD) 1658292523

Thankfully, there are people like science reporter Benjamin Ryan who are willing to let the world laugh at what might be the most hilarious typo of all time if it teaches people about "global 'pubic' health."

In response to Lim's fear-mongering, Ryan posted the following tweet:

“@JLimHospMD This is misinformation about #monkeypox. The outbreak is occurring almost entirely among men who have sex with me. Public health experts agree that sexual contact is the principle driver of transmission and have asserted that risk to kids remains *very low*.”
— James Lim, MD (@James Lim, MD) 1658292523

We assume Ryan meant to type "men" instead of "me," but that's not what was posted for the world to see. Twitter immediately erupted:

“@benryanwriter @JLimHospMD You really should delete the tweet, cuz otherwise it might be the funniest tweet I’ve ever read 😂”
— James Lim, MD (@James Lim, MD) 1658292523
“Noted, I will not have sex with @benryanwriter”

“@benryanwriter @JLimHospMD Best. Typo. Ever.”
— James Lim, MD (@James Lim, MD) 1658292523
“@benryanwriter @JLimHospMD Crucial information. We'll all bear that in mind when considering whether to have sex with you.”
— James Lim, MD (@James Lim, MD) 1658292523
“@benryanwriter @JLimHospMD Until this tweet I was in a mood, now I’m laughing so much people are starring. 🤣🤣🤣”

— James Lim, MD (@James Lim, MD) 1658292523
“@benryanwriter @JLimHospMD This is the best typo of all time.

In any case, thanks being a voice of sanity and reason.”
— James Lim, MD (@James Lim, MD) 1658292523
“@georgedance04 @benryanwriter @JLimHospMD Yes, he owned it and is being a good sport about it. Good for a laugh.”
— James Lim, MD (@James Lim, MD) 1658292523

Indeed, he did own it and even apologized.

“I would once again like to apologize for inadvertently causing the entire global #monkeypox outbreak by typing too fast and leaving out a crucial consonant.”
— Benjamin Ryan (@Benjamin Ryan) 1658406832

And he celebrated "teaching people about global pubic health!"

“My typo is teaching people about global pubic health!
#monkeypox”
— Benjamin Ryan (@Benjamin Ryan) 1658411552

In all fairness, we're pretty sure this second typo (pubic instead of public) was intentional (see tweet below.) Either way, Ryan's busy morning on Twitter has been both hilarious and educational.

On "The Chad Prather Show," BlazeTV host Chad Prather talked about how the word "monkeypox" has now become controversial. If you thought we were done renaming things like universities, books, and viruses, think again, because the World Health Organization says it's time to rename “monkeypox” in order to avoid stigma and racism.

Progressives blast Bill Maher as 'transphobic' for saying it's 'trendy' to be LGBTQ, declaring children transitioning to transgender is not science-based

Bill Maher dared to discuss the sacred cow of transgenderism – which instantly caused progressives to attack the liberal talk show host.

During Friday night's episode of "Real Time with Bill Maher," the HBO host discussed a Gallup poll about the increase of Americans identifying as LGBT.

The survey found, "The percentage of U.S. adults who self-identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or something other than heterosexual has increased to a new high of 7.1%, which is double the percentage from 2012, when Gallup first measured it."

The Gallup poll published in February said that each generation had increased by around double from the previous generation. There were 0.8% who identify as LGBT in the Silent Generation, 2.6% of Baby Boomers, 4.2% of Gen X, 10.5% of Millennials, and 20.8% of Generation Z.

Maher hypothesized that some of the massive increase in people identifying as LGBTQ could be because it is currently "trendy" to be considered as such.

“Yes, part of the rise in LGBT numbers is from people feeling free enough to tell it to a pollster and that’s all to the good, but some of it is — it’s trendy,” Maher said.

Maher said, "I'm just saying when things change this much, this fast, people are allowed to ask, 'What's up with that?' All the babies are in the wrong bodies?"

Maher questioned a recent statement by the American Civil Liberties Union that listed groups that would suffer "disproportionately harm" by abortion bans. The ACLU did not name women, but did mention "black, Indigenous, other people of color, the LGBTQ community, immigrants, young people, those working to make ends meet, and people with disabilities."

Maher asked, "Abortion rights affects gay and trans people more than you know – breeders?"

"I'm happy for LGBT folks that we now live in an age where they can live their authentic lives openly, and we should always be mindful of respecting and protecting," Maher stated. "But someone needs to say it. Not everything's about you."

Maher moved on to children transitioning – which he described as "literally experimenting on children."

He noted, "Maybe that's why Sweden and Finland have stopped giving puberty blockers to kids because we just don't know much about the long-term effects, although common sense should tell you that when you reverse the course of raging hormones, there's going to be problems."

Maher then listed the potential health risks of puberty blockers for children.

Maher then highlighted that no gay men were selected as a Grand Marshall for the upcoming New York City Pride Parade. "That’s where we are now – gay men are not hip enough for a Gay Pride Parade," he said.

Maher pointed out that the "prime directive" of teens is to do "anything to shock and challenge the squares who brought you up. It’s why nobody gets a nose ring at 56."

"If you attend a small dinner party of typically very liberal, upper-income Angelenos, it is not uncommon to hear parents who each have a trans kid having a conversation about that," Maher stated, then asked, "What are the odds of that happening in Youngstown, Ohio?"

Maher inquired, "If this spike in trans children is all-natural, why is it regional?"

"Either Ohio is shaming them or California is creating them," he continued. "If we can't admit that in certain enclaves, there was some level of trendiness to the idea of being anything other than straight, then this is not a serious, science-based discussion. It's a blow being struck in the culture wars using children as cannon fodder."

Maher cited Dr. Erica Anderson – a "prominent" transgender clinical physiologist – who believes some children are identifying as transgender due to the "influence of their peers and social media."

Maher explained that children are not just "gender-fluid," but "fluid about everything." He added, "If kids knew what they wanted to be at age 8 – the world would be filled with cowboys and princesses."

Maher joked, "If you are a man who wants to experience life without a pair of balls, you do not have to get surgery, you can get married."

New Rule: Along for the Pride | Real Time with Bill Maher (HBO) www.youtube.com

According to multiple Twitter reactions, Maher's monologue about LGBTQ enraged progressives. They lashed out and labeled the liberal talk show host "transphobic" and a "transphobe."

A Twitter user accused Maher of spreading "Gay Replacement Theory."

One activist said Maher was "spewing dangerous and hateful rhetoric."

Some progressives demanded that HBO cancel "Real Time with Bill Maher."

There was at least one Twitter user insinuated that Maher be sentenced to death for the crime of being a transphobe.

Surfed through some channels on my hotel tv. Not shocked that Bill Maher was spreading more transphobic bullshit as I clicked past. @HBO it is long past time to dump this hateful bigot. If it wasn’t transphobic it would be islamophobic. Get rid of it.

'I feel pretty damn lucky to be here': Fox News correspondent Benjamin Hall, who was wounded in an attack last month in Ukraine, says he lost half a leg, one foot, and has a non-functional eye

Fox News State Department correspondent Benjamin Hall, who was seriously injured in Ukraine last month, said that he has lost half of one leg as well as the foot on his other leg — one of his eyes has also ceased functioning.

Hall also issued a tweet mentioning two people who were killed in the attack that left him heavily wounded.

"Its been over three weeks since the attack in Ukraine and I wanted to start sharing it all. But first I need to pay tribute to my colleagues Pierre and Sasha who didnt make it that day. Pierre and I traveled the world together, working was his joy and his joy was infectious. RIP," Hall tweeted on Thursday evening.

Hall was referring to Ukrainian journalist Oleksandra "Sasha" Kuvshinova, who had been working as a consultant for the media outlet, and Fox News cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski.

"To sum it up, I've lost half a leg on one side and a foot on the other. One hand is being put together, one eye is no longer working, and my hearing is pretty blown… but all in all I feel pretty damn lucky to be here - and it is the people who got me here who are amazing!" Hall said in another tweet.

Former Israeli PM warns Americans that new Iran nuclear deal formed under Biden is 'even worse than its predecessor'

Former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned the United States on Sunday against entering into a new nuclear deal with Iran.

What is the background?

The Biden administration joined negotiations last year to re-establish the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, also known as the "Iran nuclear deal," after then-President Donald Trump withdrew the U.S. from the accord in 2018.

Two weeks ago, the State Department said a new deal was imminent. However, Russia's invasion of Ukraine has complicated the negotiation process, and now the deal could fall through. Russia has been a lead negotiator on the new deal.

What did Netanyahu say?

As Israel's top leader at the time, Netanyahu vehemently opposed the Iran nuclear deal when it was first negotiated under the Obama administration. Iran, after all, refuses to recognize Israel's sovereignty and funds terrorist groups that attack Israel.

In a video published Sunday — the same day Iranian missiles struck an area around a U.S. consulate in northern Iraq — Netanyahu explained why the forthcoming deal is "downright dangerous."

"The desperate rush to sign this flawed nuclear agreement with Iran is not only absurd — it's downright dangerous," Netanyahu said.

"Yesterday, Iran fired missiles in the vicinity of the American consulate in Iraq, and the U.S. continues to charge ahead along with the other powers to sign a nuclear agreement that will give the Ayatollahs a nuclear arsenal," Netanyahu continued. "It would also relieve sanctions and give them hundreds of billions of dollars in order to continue the terror that they waged yesterday and wage every day throughout the Middle East and the world."

Netanyahu, a staunch supporter of the U.S., said the new deal negotiated under Biden "is even worse than its predecessor because in three years' time, under this agreement, Iran will be a threshold nuclear state. It will have enough enriched uranium to create dozens and dozens of nuclear bombs and it will have the ICBMs to deliver them to any place in the United States," he warned.

"That is ... unbelievable. It's not merely unacceptable, it endangers not only my country, Israel, but your country, the United States, and the entire world," Netanyahu continued. "We should not let an aggressive, rogue, terrorist regime like Iran have nuclear weapons."

"Have we learned nothing?" he asked.

Every American family should watch this video.pic.twitter.com/BVo5ZFJwKk
— Benjamin Netanyahu (@Benjamin Netanyahu) 1647186297

Despite Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia's lead negotiator on the revived JCPOA, boasting that Moscow, Beijing, and Tehran essentially took the U.S. to the cleaners, U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman reiterated Sunday that moving forward with the Iran nuclear deal is the best way to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.

Former NFL star Benjamin Watson steamrolls 'pro-choice pastor' Sen. Raphael Warnock: 'A pastor knows the value of human life'

Former NFL star Benjamin Watson hit out at Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.), the Georgia lawmaker who prides himself on being a "pro-choice pastor."

What are the details?

Watson, an outspoken Christian and proponent of the pro-life movement, issued a snappy response after Warnock tweeted about women's rights.

Warnock, pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, tweeted, "As a pro-choice pastor, I've always believed that a patient's room is way too small for a woman, her doctor, and the United States government."

Warnock made the remarks on the 49th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision.

Clearly taken aback by the lawmaker's tweet, Watson fired back, "Is a patient's room too small for a child as well? 76% of women in those rooms say they would prefer to parent if circumstances were different."

"A Pastor knows the value of human life," he thundered. "A Senator knows how to support mother AND child. Sir, you know better. Stop being scared."

Is a patient’s room too small for a child as well?

76% of women in those rooms say they would prefer to parent if circumstances were different

A Pastor knows the value of human life.
A Senator knows how to support mother AND child.

Sir, you know better. — Benjamin Watson (@Benjamin Watson) 1642961837

Watson later added that Christians need to beware of people who emphasize their "position in the church before stating what THEY have always believed NOT what God's word says."

“They’ve sacrificed moral credibility to accrue power and used their religious position as cover for an agenda. It doesn’t have to be this way,” he pointed out.

What else?

In December 2020, a coalition of at least 25 black pastors rallied against Warnock, slamming him for supporting abortion.

In an open letter, the pastors said that they felt "compelled to confront" the reverend for what they said were his "grave errors of judgment" and a "lapse in pastoral responsibility."

A month earlier, Warnock tweeted that he would "always fight for reproductive justice," and shortly after that, Warnock said he believed the "right" to abortion is a product of "human agency and freedom."

A portion of the letter read:

As a Christian pastor and as a black leader, you have a duty to denounce the evil of abortion, which kills a disproportionate number of black children. Your open advocacy of abortion is a scandal to the faith and to the black community.

Abortion is fundamentally in conflict with the plain reading of the Bible. The Bible clearly teaches that human life is created by God beginning at conception.

As Psalm 139 proclaims: "You knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am wonderfully and fearfully made." What human being could possibly have the right to blot out an innocent life that God has wonderfully and fearfully made?Abortion prematurely thwarts God's providential and loving plan for a promising human life.

And by terminating an innocent unborn life in the womb, abortion directly violates the seventh commandment: "Thou shalt not kill."

Ohio State University students stage sit-in protest, demand school sever ties with Columbus police for shooting of knife-wielding teen

Students at Ohio State University staged a sit-in protest Wednesday over the fatal police shooting of a teen girl wielding a knife who attempted to stab two people. The protesters demanded that the university sever ties with the Columbus Division of Police, the Ohio law enforcement department whose officer shot and killed 16-year-old Ma'Khia Bryant at the exact moment she lunged with a knife at another girl.

Several hundred protesters gathered at the Ohio Union, which serves as a student activity center and dining area for students of Ohio State University. Students held signs that called for the city of Columbus to abolish its police department, support for Black Lives Matter, another sign that demanded "CPD out of OSU," and one that reads "ACAB," an acronym for "All Cops Are Bastards." The crowd of Ohio State students held a 16-minute moment of silence for Bryant.

A spokesperson for the university issued a statement on the protests: "Ohio State supports the right of our students, faculty and staff to peacefully express their views and to speak out about issues that are important to them. Freedom of speech and civic engagement are central to our values as an institution of higher education."

There were more than 500 Ohio State University students who marched in the streets to the Ohio Statehouse, where they demanded that university leadership cut ties to the Columbus Division of Police, according to the Columbus Dispatch.

The demonstrators issued a list of five demands, which was the same list that was written by three Ohio State student governments in June 2020 as a reaction to the police-involved death of George Floyd.

 • Ohio State University Police Division immediately cease contracts with the Columbus Division of Police for any and all on-campus investigations, services and events;
 • OSUPD immediately cease mutual aid service contracts with Columbus police and reevaluate joint patrols to limit the presence of and the frequency of calls to CPD officers and resources in off-campus areas;
 • Ohio State no longer accept federal, military-grade resources and reduce OSUPD's budget for expenditures that may be used for further militarization, but rather reallocate the funds to further invest in student support units;
 • Ohio State's Department of Public Safety release an action plan, created with student input, that affirms the commitment to Black student safety and overall university safety through disarmed, anti-force and culturally competent practices, and;
 • Ohio State acknowledge and condemn the anti-Black violence the Columbus police committed against Ohio State students and the greater Columbus community.

On Wednesday, the school responded to the demand of cutting ties with the Columbus Division of Police, "The Ohio State University Police Division (OSUPD) is the primary law enforcement agency on all of our campuses. In Columbus, we contract with the Columbus Division of Police (CPD) for specific services, largely traffic control for athletics events. We also have a mutual-aid agreement in place that allows our OSUPD to assist CPD off campus."

Last June, an Ohio State University spokesperson issued a statement on the list of demands:

As President Drake wrote on Saturday, George Floyd suffered a horrendous and completely unnecessary death. His killing, and those that have come before, demand that we create a different future. We know our students are hurting, we are here to support them, and we are inspired by their commitment to this cause. We must all work together to end abuse, discrimination, bigotry, and hatred. We will be in dialogue with our student government leaders about the specific concerns they have raised.
