This ONE move by China proves Democrats don't REALLY care about climate change

Whether he admits it or not, President Joe Biden's climate change policies will have a devastating effect on the world this winter. Even though the Biden administration boasts about the (misleadingly named) Inflation Reduction Act being the "most important climate legislation ever passed," the endgame doesn't really seem to be about the Earth's climate. If it were, the administration would be up in arms over China's new plan to "greatly" increase coal production — which will completely wipe out any gains from Biden's climate plan many times over. So, why are we risking global war over "climate change" again?

On the radio program, Glenn Beck and producer Stu Burguiere discuss how America just took one step closer to war and why that war — thanks to the far left — would be based on nonsense and a "warped philosophy."

"I want to put into perspective what you are facing," Glenn began. "There is too much debt in the world, and we are inflating that debt away — central banks are —and it will inflate everything that you have away. You are also looking at a time right now when we could be at war at any time. We just put the 101st Airborne Division into Europe to back Nato up, and the Pentagon said yesterday they are ready to go. They could go into Ukraine at any time. That's terrifying."

"This has been done because of the fight over pipelines," Glenn explained. "The West has decided we're going to cut off all oil and gas ... and they're claiming that this is for climate. But it's not for climate."

"We can pass the biggest climate bill ever, and it gets completely wiped out by one announcement by President Xi [Jinping] that nobody tells you about and we have absolutely no control over," Stu noted. "You are changing your life for that nonsense. It's all wiped out immediately, and this happens every few years. They announce these increases, we don't even look at them, and it wipes out everything that we're doing — all the trillions of dollars, all the money that we're spending."

"So, let me ask you, are you willing to send your son or daughter over to fight for something this flawed? Because ... in the winter, that's what they're going to say, 'it's because the people are starving. They're cold.' Well, you know what's making them starving and cold? Our policy on climate change," Glenn said.

Biden makes it CLEAR that 'a billion a trillion 750 million dollars billion dollars' could help fight climate change or something

During an interview with CNN's Jake Tapper on Tuesday, President Joe Biden defended his administration's economic record, saying he doesn’t think there's a recession coming, but if there is, it would be "very slight," before moving on to boast about all his "legislative victories," such as the memorable "American Rescue Plan," the "Inflation Act" (we assume Biden meant the Inflation Reduction Act, but "Inflation Act" is probably more accurate), and the most recent $368 billion in additional spending to "deal with the energy problem and the whole notion of global warming."

Asked if the American people should prepare for a recession, Biden answered, "No, look, they've been saying this now, how, every six months they say this. Every six months, they look down at the next six months and say what's gonna happen. It hadn't happened yet.

"It hadn't — but — there — that had — there is no, there's no guarantee that there's gonna be — I don't think there will be a recession. If it is, it will be a slight recession. That is, we'll move down slightly," he added.

Biden then pivoted to his administration's wonderful accomplishments. "Think about what's happened. We've done more, we're in a better position than any other major country in the world, economically and politically. We still have real problems, but look, look, look, look, look what we got done," he said before mentioning the "American Rescue Plan," his first stimulus package, and "the legislation to deal with infla — the Inflation Act."

Next, Biden launched into a rambling narrative about the economic "impact on families" who are "concerned about energy prices" and how his dad used to say middle-class families should have "breathing room" after all the bills are paid because they are "in fact, struggling" and so, of course, he threw another $368 billion at "the whole notion of global warming" to deal with the energy problem.

In case that didn't quite make sense, Biden clarified by adding, "It's gonna bring a billion, a trillion, 750 million dollars, billion dollars off the sidelines in investment. Look what's happened. Look at the investment going on in America right now."

At that, Tapper somehow managed to keep a straight face and simply answered, "Yeah. So you think Democrats have something to run on."

"Oh, I think we do, I know we do," Biden responded.

Glenn Beck: Here's why ALARM BELLS should have gone off when Biden said THIS

Last week, President Joe Biden said, “Climate change is an emergency, and in the coming weeks, I’m going to use the power I have as president to turn these words into formal, official government actions for the appropriate proclamations, executive orders and regulatory power that the president possesses.”

But Glenn Beck says the only state of emergency that needs to be declared right now is what's going on with our out-of-control federal government and president.

"When you have a president saying he is going to issue an emergency order and declare a national emergency on climate, of all things, you're about to lose your republic," Glenn said on the radio program.

"No matter what party the president is from, when they say any version of 'since Congress won't act, I will,' that should have alarm bells going off," he continued. "When they say, 'If Congress will not act, I will,' that is a direct violation of the president's oath of office."

Glenn argued that most Americans don't realize how weak the office of the president is supposed to be, and it even seems like many on both sides of the political aisle prefer a president who can practically wave a magic wand and change everything.

He went on to explain how the president got so much power (hint: it started with Woodrow Wilson) and why it's clearly dangerous and unconstitutional.

"The Founders put Congress front and center in the Constitution, not the president, and here's why: They had major kingophobia," Glenn said. "They knew that men would try to gather more and more power and consolidate that power, and that was everything they were trying to get away from. So what did they do? Well, they were very cautious when they put together the office of the president, the executive branch. After the Preamble, the very first line of (Article I) says, 'All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.' So all legislative power is granted to Congress ... no legislative power is granted to the president. Now, I know you know this, but I'm not sure about the rest of America: The president cannot make laws."

Watch the video clip below to hear Glenn explain why that presidential limitation is extremely important. Can't watch? Download the podcast here.

Greta Thunberg ridicules John Kerry over his latest suggestion on global warming

Climate activist Greta Thunberg lashed out at U.S. special climate envoy John Kerry over his latest suggestion about combatting global warming.

Kerry simply suggested that technological advancements will play a key role in lessening carbon emissions in an interview with BBC that aired on Sunday.

"I am told by scientists, not by anybody in politics but by scientists, that 50% of the reductions we have to make to get to net zero by 2050 or 2045, as soon as we can, 50% of those reductions are going to come from technologies that we don't yet have," Kerry said.

"That's just a reality," he added. "And people who are realistic about this understand that's part of the challenge."

Kerry, 77, was arguing that Americans won't necessarily need to drastically change their lifestyle in order to curb emissions because of expected advancements by tech companies.

Thunberg took to Twitter to ridicule Kerry and characterize his argument as one of pure fantasy.

"Great news! I spoke to Harry Potter and he said he will team up with Gandalf, Sherlock Holmes & The Avengers and get started right away!" she mocked.

She also retweeted a response to Kerry from climate scientist Michael Mann.

"This is one trial balloon that needs to be popped," he tweeted with a link to Kerry's comments.

Mann went on to accuse Kerry of participating in "pernicious technophilia" that had "infected" public discourse and blamed Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates for popularizing the idea that technological advances offered hope to lessen carbon emissions.

Despite his misgivings, Mann praised the Biden administration for their global warming policies in his own interview with BBC News.

Kerry defended his comments to Axios by referring to a finding from the International Energy Agency.

"IEA analysis shows that about half the reductions to get to net zero emissions in 2050 will need to come from technologies that are not yet ready for market," said IEA chief Fatih Birol in April.

Chip Roy to Biden: You want to kill Texas' energy jobs? 'Come and take it'

Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) on Friday delivered an impassioned speech on the House floor slamming Democrats and the Biden administration for waging war by executive fiat on the oil and natural gas industries.

Among the flurry of executive actions President Joe Biden has taken in the weeks since he took office, Biden signed several orders on climate change, directing the secretary of the interior to pause granting new permits for oil and natural gas leases on public lands or offshore waters. Biden also canceled the Keystone XL oil pipeline project on his first day as president, a move that eliminated an estimated tens of thousands of jobs related to the completion of the pipeline.

In his remarks, Roy accused Democrats of attacking the natural resources that are "the very great strength that the United States of America has to set us apart from the rest of the world to be independent."

Noting that CO2 levels in the U.S. have decreased in recent years and as of 2018 were at levels not seen since the mid-1990s, Roy argued that new technology like fracking and natural gas, which Democrats oppose, is responsible for lowering emissions, which Democrats claim to support.

"We have vastly exceeded what my leftist friends on the other side of the aisle want to follow, the social welfare state of Europeans down the road of fancy gatherings in Davos," Roy said. "They fly on their expensive jets to go preach to the world about global warming. Spare me your preaching as you're riding around in these jets, spewing out CO2, when we, through innovation in the great state of Texas and in our country, are creating clean-burning natural gas and are creating jobs powering the world."

Roy slammed the Biden administration, accusing the president's policies of "want[ing] to come in and destroy jobs, destroy our leadership in the world, turn us over to Russia and Iran, and oh by the way, empower China to roll right over us while they spew out whatever they want to spew out because darn if they're going to actually do anything like agree to whatever is in the Paris agreement."

"It is an absolute joke, it's a laughingstock what the Democratic Party is doing saying they're standing up for the little guy in this country, when you're going to drive up the price of energy, increase CO2, empower China, empower Iran, empower Russia, and harm jobs," Roy roared.

"You're going to kill hundreds of thousands of jobs in this country even as we're coming out of the negative effect of the pandemic."

He ended his remarks with a declaration to his Democratic colleagues: "You roll in here thinking that we're going to just fundamentally alter our entire economy through executive order?

"We're gonna say no. We're gonna say come and take it."

Joe Biden warns America's suburbs will be destroyed by 'hellish' fires, floods, and superstorms if 'climate arsonist' Trump is re-elected

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden grimly predicted that "hellish" fires, floods, hurricanes, and superstorms would level and destroy America's suburbs if "climate arsonist" President Donald Trump is re-elected.

What are the details?

The ominous prediction, which came as historic wildfires scorch much of the country's West Coast, sounded like a prophecy out of the Book of Revelation.

The former vice president made the comments during a speech on climate change Monday in Wilmington, Delaware, as the president headed to California to be briefed on the catastrophic fires.

In the speech, though he conceded that Trump didn't directly cause the natural disasters that have plagued America in recent months, Biden suggested that the president's "climate denial" was a contributing factor.

"Donald Trump's climate denial may not have caused these fires and record floods and record hurricanes, but if he gets a second term, these hellish events will continue to become more common, more devastating and more deadly," Biden warned.

"Wildfires are burning the suburbs in the West! Floods are wiping out suburban neighborhoods in the Midwest! Hurricanes are imperiling suburban life along our coast!" he continued, raising his arms and his voice.

"If we have four more years of Trump's climate denial, how many suburbs will be burned in wildfires?" he asked. "How many suburban neighborhoods will have been flooded out? How many suburbs will have been blown away in superstorms? If you give a climate arsonist four more years in the White House, why would anyone be surprised if we have more of America ablaze?"

"We need a president who respects science," Biden suggested. "[A president] who understands that the damage from climate change is already here."

What else?

Trump sparred with officials during his visit to California Monday over the cause of the wildfires and the best course moving forward to prevent them.

The president has suggested that poor forest management has much to do with igniting the fires.

"When trees fall down, after a short period of time ... about 18 months, they become really dry. They become really like a matchstick ... and they just explode," Trump told reporters ahead of the roundtable discussion.

"Also leaves, if you have years of leaves, dried leaves on the ground, it just sets it up," Trump added. "It's really a fuel for a fire. So they have to do something about it."

During the discussion, California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom shot back at the president after acknowledging poor forest management is a part of the problem, noting that 57% of California forests are on land controlled by the federal government.

The governor also pushed back on Trump's perspective that climate change is not the primary cause of fires.

"The hots are getting hotter. The drys are getting drier," Newsom asserted. "Something has happened to the plumbing of the world ... and we submit the science is self evident that climate change is real. Please respect the difference of opinion out there."
