Trump REVEALS more details in first interview after ASSASSINATION attempt

The assassination attempt on Donald Trump — and his reaction — will undoubtedly go down as one of the most iconic moments in American history.

The former president was on stage at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, when 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks took aim at him from a rooftop nearby. A bullet hit Trump’s ear as he turned his head, and that head turn appeared to saved his life.

After going down, Trump rose to his feet while surrounded by Secret Service agents and told them to “wait.” He then yelled “fight, fight, fight,” as he pumped his fist in the air.

Not a day later, Trump sat down for his first interview after the attack. The former president told reporters from the Washington Examiner and the New York Post: “I’m not supposed to be here; I’m supposed to be dead.”

“I’m supposed to be dead,” he repeated.

Trump then told reporters that he wants “to try to unite our country” but doesn’t “know if that’s possible.”

“People are very divided,” he added.

Dave Rubin isn’t shocked that it’s happened, but he believes Trump’s reaction was “absolutely incredible.”

“What’s most amazing about what happened was not that Trump got shot, right, because that actually wasn’t surprising,” Rubin says.

“It was more like ‘Oh they finally did it.’”

Rubin also recalls Trump telling his supporters that he’s not the real target; rather, it’s the average American citizen who is the real target.

“In the end, they're not coming after me. They're coming after you — and I'm just standing in their way,” Trump said after his historic federal indictment in Georgia.

“Doesn’t that really feel right right now? Doesn’t it?” Rubin asks, adding that not only is Trump standing strong after the attempt on his life, but he showed up at the Republican National Convention today.

“He ain’t taking any time off,” Rubin says in admiration.

Jon Stewart officially a ‘wokester’— left out KEY details on crime in Democrat-run cities

Jon Stewart was once what people might call a “liberal.” Now, he’s just like all the others who abandoned their integrity to go off the “woke” deep end.

“He’s no longer a liberal, he is just sort of a ‘wokester,’” Dave Rubin says, before showing a clip of Stewart attempting to debunk the GOP’s city crime narrative.

“It’s the dang Democrat-encouraged crime. It’s one of the right’s favorite talking points, not just from Milwaukee but for all Democratic run cities,” Stewart mocked. “Those cities are crime-infested holes where life is miserable and everyone hates everybody.”

“By the way, it does turn out that crime is actually down,” he continued, before referencing a clip of Lester Holt claiming that the FBI reported the nation’s violent crime rate has dropped dramatically this year.

“It’s all a misunderstanding; but now that the FBI numbers are out, I’m sure that the right-wing media will adjust accordingly,” Stewart mocked again, sharing a clip of a Fox News host saying that cities still have a poor quality of life while a video of a car doing donuts plays in the background.

“He’s making the reverse point of the point he’s trying to make. He’s showing, ‘Oh these guys are doing double donuts.’ Yes, it’s illegal and people can be killed,” Rubin comments.

But that’s not all.

The reason Stewart is able to regurgitate those FBI numbers is because a large portion of crime is never reported to the FBI in the first place.

According to a report by the NRA Institute for Legislative Action, 37% of police departments stopped reporting crime data to the FBI, including large departments for Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York.

For other jurisdictions like Baltimore and Nashville, crimes are being underreported or undercounted.

“So, again, we can all argue about the percentages and everything else, but we simply know that in Republican-run cities you cannot run into a CVS and steal all of the stuff,” Rubin says.

CNN waking up to persecution of Trump after FBI plants evidence, trial suspended indefinitely

Things are looking up for former president Donald Trump. So much so, that even CNN is acknowledging the political persecution he’s been facing.

“The material that came in was not relevant to this criminal case at all, and I think it shows that she was trying to get Trump. I actually thought there was a motive there. She said she hates him, she said she’d like to see him in prison. I think she was purposely throwing out this stuff to make sure the jurors were prejudiced, particularly the women jurors,” a former U.S. District Court judge in the southern district of New York said on CNN.

Sara Gonzales is shocked, saying, “CNN, like I cannot overstate that you are watching this.”

“Isn’t it indicative of the way we are in this country right now, that we are so shocked that someone would be honest on CNN,” Matthew Marsden agrees.

And going into the 2024 election, the timing couldn’t be more ripe for the left to start waking up to what’s been done to the former president — including the FBI planting evidence at Mar-a-Lago.

The judge has now indefinitely suspended the trial against Trump, because the FBI’s photo depicting all of Trump’s “top secret documents” was 100% staged.

“That photo that you saw, that was shown on the Washington Post, on the New York Times, all of these outlets that were running this, like ‘Oh my gosh the damning evidence against Donald Trump.’ Whole thing is completely staged, completely staged,” Gonzales says.

KJP's response to Biden's 'my uncle Bosie was eaten by cannibals' claim is ALMOST as funny as Peter Doocy's reaction

The D.C. swamp is so irredeemably bad that sometimes you just need to laugh at it.

And that’s exactly what Pat Gray did when Peter Doocy asked White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre about Biden’s strangest claim to date: that his uncle was eaten by cannibals in Papua New Guinea when his plane was shot down during WWII.

“Why is President Biden saying that his Uncle Bosie was eaten by cannibals?” Doocy asked with a countenance and tone of voice that can only be described as hilariously cynical.

Pat bursts out laughing at the journalist’s unapologetic incredulity.

“I don’t have much to say,” was KJP’s predictable response. “The president had an emotional and, I think, symbolic moment. He had an opportunity as president to honor his uncle’s service in uniform.”

She then proceeded to deliver a droning lecture about Biden “[speaking] to the bravery of his uncle” and “[making] the case for honoring our sacred commitment to equip those we send to war,” before she ended with a lie about Donald Trump calling American veterans “suckers and losers.”

Although the entire ordeal is humorous on some level, Pat’s laughter ceases with “the lie about Donald Trump.”

“Despicable doesn’t even begin to sum up what these people are,” he says.

Reporter confronts KJP with perfect question after Biden suggests cannibals ate his uncle — and her response says it all

Reporters aren't buying the excuse that White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre offered for President Joe Biden's latest gaffe.

On Wednesday, Biden visited the Veteran's War Memorial in Scranton, Pennsylvania, one of the locations where his uncle, World War II veteran Ambrose J. Finnegan Jr., is memorialized.

Afterward, Biden spoke about his uncle, whose body was never recovered after a plane crash in the Pacific Ocean. He said:

Ambrose Finnegan — we called him “Uncle Bosie” — he was shot down. He was Army Air Corps before there was an Air Force. He flew single-engine planes, reconnaissance flights over New Guinea. He had volunteered because someone couldn’t make it. He got shot down in an area where there were a lot of cannibals in New Guinea at the time. They never recovered his body. But the government went back, when I went down there, and they checked and found some parts of the plane and the like.

Biden's story, however, is mostly untrue.

The plane on which Biden's uncle was flying on May 14, 1944, wasn't shot down, nor was he the victim of cannibals. According to the Pentagon, both engines in the plane failed, which caused a crash landing into the ocean. Of the four people on the plane, only one survived; the other three were never recovered.

On Thursday, reporters asked Jean-Pierre if she had a "cannibal tab" in her press binder.

At first, she acted as if she didn't know what the press was asking about — she said, "There is no 'cannibal' tab. What are you talking about?" — before addressing the incident.

But then she refused to address directly the fact that what Biden said is not true. She softened the blow by noting that Biden is "incredibly proud" of his uncle, and visiting the memorial was "incredibly emotional and important to him." And, of course, she implicitly slammed Donald Trump, referring to comments the former president allegedly made about veterans who die in war.

"As he reiterated, the last thing American veterans are are 'suckers' or 'losers,' and he wanted to make that clear," Jean-Pierre said.

"By embellishing the story?" a reporter fired back.

"Look, I don't have anything beyond what I just laid out," Jean-Pierre responded, never answering the question.

And with that, the seven-minute press gaggle aboard Air Force One concluded.

Laken Hope Riley's mother blasts 'pathetic' Biden for not knowing her daughter's name during SOTU address

The mother of slain nursing student Laken Hope Riley blasted "pathetic" President Joe Biden for not knowing her daughter's name during his State of the Union address this week.

Biden suffered a verbal gaffe during his speech on Thursday when he mispronounced Laken Riley's name as "Lincoln Riley."

The 81-year-old president was pressured by Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene (R-Ga.), who yelled at Biden, "Say her name!"

Biden responded, "I know how to say her name."

"Lincoln — Lincoln Riley, an innocent young woman who was killed by an illegal," Biden mistakenly uttered.

Allyson Phillips – the mother of the 22-year-old who was murdered in a wooded area on the University of Georgia campus – slammed Biden for the verbal blunder.

Phillips wrote on Facebook, "Biden does not even KNOW my child’s name – it [sic] pathetic!"

— (@)

Biden's administration waited nearly a week to address Riley's murder, and it was a short press release from the White House that Republicans rebuked as "sad" and "pathetic."

Days after her death, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp blasted Biden over his immigration policies in response to Riley's killing.

The grieving mother's criticism of President Biden on Friday was in response to a Facebook post celebrating the passage of the Laken Riley Act that was introduced by Rep. Mike Collins (R-Ga.).

On Thursday, the House of Representatives passed the bill honoring the slain college student in a 251-170 vote, with 37 Democrats joining all of the Republicans present in voting "yes."

The bill would require ICE to detain any illegal alien who committed burglary or theft.

The suspect alleged to have brutally murdered Riley is Jose Antonio Ibarra – an illegal immigrant from Venezuela.

More than six months before Riley’s murder, Ibarra was reportedly arrested in New York City and charged with acting in a manner to injure a child less than 17 and a motor vehicle license violation.

In October 2023, Ibarra was arrested for shoplifting but was not turned over to ICE agents by police in Athens, Georgia. The city had declared itself to be a sanctuary city, so Ibarra was released from jail instead of being turned over to agents with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Ibarra never showed up to court for the changes, and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest.

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said the 26-year-old Venezuelan national was arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection on Sept. 8, 2022, after he unlawfully entered the United States near El Paso, Texas.

Earlier this week, Phillips made her first public comments about her daughter's tragic murder.

The distraught mother said, "My family has faced the most devastating, unimaginable loss that anyone could ever be force to endure."

Phillips added, "I would like to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for being with me and my family during this heartbreaking time."
