Glenn: Is THIS PROOF Biden LIED about meeting Hunter's business partners?

While he was running for president, Joe Biden was asked by Peter Doocy how many times he had spoken to his son, Hunter, about his overseas business dealings.

Not only did Biden claim that he had “never spoken” to Hunter about them, but he immediately went on to yell at Doocy, saying, “Here’s what I know: I know Trump deserves to be investigated.”

As more information seeps into the public sphere contradicting his claim that he never spoke to Hunter about overseas business dealings, many are left wondering if the president was using Trump to deflect from the question that he was being asked.

“How times have changed,” Glenn Beck says, as it appears Biden was indeed deflecting.

“We know now, that on March 20, 2015, Hunter Biden allegedly arranged a meeting in Washington, D.C., with a high-level Burisma executive and had his father stop by,” Glenn adds.

But it’s getting a lot worse for the sitting president.

Devon Archer, Hunter Biden’s ex-business partner, is claiming that Hunter put his father on speaker during shady business calls as many as 24 times.

Of course, these were just in Archer’s presence.

Archer was expected to testify under oath to Congress this week that the former vice president met with dozens of Hunter’s business associates between 2009 and 2017, but he canceled for the third time.

“He just can’t seem to make any time for it, it really stinks. He’s so busy,” Glenn mocks.

Glenn is outraged by the news, but of course, he isn’t surprised.

“We know they took at least $10 million in corrupt money from Ukraine. We’re sending billions of dollars over there right now,” he says.

'That’s a lie': Biden falsely claims that vaccinated people 'cannot spread' COVID-19

President Joe Biden on Thursday falsely claimed that individuals vaccinated against COVID-19 "cannot spread" the virus to others.

What are the details?

The president was speaking in Elk Grove, Illinois, touting his administration's implementation of vaccine mandates for federal workers and active-duty military and push to mandate large businesses when he made the questionable remarks.

"We have to beat this thing," Biden said. "That's why I've had to move toward requirements that everyone get vaccinated."

"My administration is now requiring federal workers to be vaccinated. We've also required federal contractors to be vaccinated. If you have a contract with the federal government, working for the federal government, you have to be vaccinated," he continued. "We're requiring active duty military to be vaccinated."

"We're making sure health care workers are vaccinated," he added. "Because if you seek care at a health care facility, you should have the certainty that the pro- — the people providing that care are protected from COVID and cannot spread it to you."

Following the speech, conservative political and sports commentator Clay Travis uploaded a video of the president's remarks to Twitter calling into question his specific claims, among other things.

"Joe Biden falsely says covid vaccinated people can't spread the virus. That's a lie," Travis wrote. "Also he can't even read off a teleprompter. This just keeps getting more embarrassing."

What else?

The president's remarks are at odds with present conclusions drawn by his own government.

In its latest guidance on the coronavirus Delta variant, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention acknowledged that "fully vaccinated people with Delta variant breakthrough infections can spread the virus to others."

The CDC's guidance is reflective of scientific studies which have found that both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals who test positive for COVID-19 infection carry a similar amount of viral load, regardless of whether they have symptoms or not.

Earlier data touted by the CDC may have suggested that wasn't the case, and so perhaps Biden was only reiterating what he had heard before. But the CDC's current guidance was updated in August, which should have given the president plenty of time to consult the science.

While public health experts maintain that COVID-19 vaccines are extremely effective at preventing severe illness from the disease requiring hospitalization or causing death, it is simply not true that vaccinated individuals cannot spread the virus, especially as it pertains to the Delta variant.

Anything else?

Mainstream media outlets, if they were interested in doing their jobs, should be making it widely known that the president's conclusions on this matter, as articulated, are wrong.

Then again, it's not the first time that Biden has made this misleading claim about vaccines without much objection.

Biden called out for oft-repeated lies during gun control speech

President Joe Biden was called out for lying to the American people in a speech about gun control Thursday, during which he repeated a debunked claim about the supposed "gun show loophole" and falsely claimed that gun manufacturers are "exempt from being sued."

What are the details?

Earlier Thursday, the White House issued a news release announcing six executive actions aimed at addressing what the Biden administration called a "gun violence public health epidemic" facing America. The new actions included forthcoming regulations on so-called "ghost guns" and pistol braces, as well as the creation of a model "red flag" law for the states.

Then, during a Rose Garden speech summarizing the actions Thursday afternoon, Biden called on Congress to greatly expand the initiatives and pass laws banning assault weapons, eliminating gun manufacturer immunity, and ending the "gun show loophole."

The problem is, the latter two actions highlighted by the president are talking points not truth, and Washington Free Beacon firearms expert Stephen Gutowski wasn't about to let Biden's deception go unnoticed.

In a pair of tweets, Gutowski explained, "Biden just lied about how background checks work. He said gun shows are exempt from background check requirements. That is completely false. All that matters in terms of background checks is whether you are buying from a licensed dealer or not."

He added: "Biden also falsely said gun manufacturers are 'the only outfit that's exempt from being sued.' Biden wants to repeal the [Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act] which only prevents lawsuits based on the criminal misuse of their products by third parties. Gun makers can [be] & are sued for other reasons."

The gun show loophole is an oft-repeated myth that seemingly will not die. As the Federalist pointed out back when then-Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was calling for the end of the magical loophole, "It does not exist. There is no loophole in federal law that specifically exempts gun show transactions from any other laws normally applied to gun sales. Not one."

The only time a background check is not required under federal law is when two private residents of the same state who are not federal firearms licensees engage in a transaction of a firearm. It's the identity of the parties involved in the transaction that matters, not the venue.

As for the claim that gun manufacturers are "exempt from being sued," well that's patently false, too. Gutowski rightly points out that while the PLCAA, also known as the Child Safety Lock Act, protects manufacturers from liability when people use their products to commit crimes, firearms makers are still legally allowed to be sued in numerous other ways.

Anything else?

Making matters worse, White House press secretary Jen Psaki appeared to repeat one of the president's lies during a White House press briefing a few hours later.

When she was asked by a reporter, "Is it the president's belief that you do not have to undergo a background check when you are at a gun show?" Psaki seemed to misunderstand the question and responded in a way that implicitly affirmed the myth.

"No it's not his belief. He believes that background checks should be universal," she said.

WaPo hits Biden with 'Four Pinocchios' for whopper about new Georgia voting law

Washington Post fact-checker Glenn Kessler slapped President Joe Biden on Tuesday with "Four Pinocchios" — the worst grade possible — for a whopper he repeated about the new election reform bill signed into law in Georgia.

What's the background?

A roster of liberal politicians, including the president, have grossly mischaracterized the new law — which aims to secure elections in the state by requiring photo ID for absentee voting and establishing secure drop box locations, among other things — as being crafted for the sole intent of making it harder for people to vote.

But perhaps the most blatant mischaracterization came last week during the first press conference of Biden's presidency. The president grew noticeably perturbed when discussing the legislation, calling it "sick" and alleging that it prevents working people from voting by closing off voting hours after 5 p.m.

"What I'm worried about is how un-American this whole initiative is. It's sick. It's sick ... deciding that you're going to end voting at five o'clock when working people are just getting off work," Biden said.

A day later, when responding to Georgia Republican Gov. Brian Kemp signing the bill into law, Biden said, "Among the outrageous parts of this new state law, it ends voting hours early so working people can't cast their vote after their shift is over."

What did WaPo say?

In the fact-check article, Kessler found that the law put no such restrictions on voting. In fact, Kessler acknowledged, the new law maintains the current Election Day voting hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and actually expanded voting hours and days for early voting.

"So where would Biden get this perception that ordinary workers were getting the shaft because the state would 'end voting at five o'clock'?" he wrote, going on to pummel the president for openly misinforming the American people about the new law:

One could understand a flub in a news conference. But then this same claim popped up in an official presidential statement. Not a single expert we consulted who has studied the law understood why Biden made this claim, as this was the section of law that expanded early voting for many Georgians.

Somehow Biden managed to turn that expansion into a restriction aimed at working people, calling it "among the outrageous parts" of the law. There's no evidence that is the case. The president earns Four Pinocchios.

In an "About" page for his grading scale, Kessler explained that a Four Pinocchios mark is handed out for "whoppers," plain and simple.
