Biden heckled during Virginia event, takes shot at Trump and his rallies

President Joe Biden was speaking at a campaign event in Virginia when he was heckled by some people in the crowd. Biden brushed off the hecklers by mocking Trump rallies.

Biden was in Arlington for a rally for Virginia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe on Friday. McAuliffe previously served as Virginia's governor from 2014 to 2018, and was succeeded by fellow Democrat Ralph Northam.

President Biden began his speech by talking about COVID-19 vaccinations, and subtly tweaked conservatives for embracing coronavirus vaccines.

"And by the way, you know that old expression, you know there's a lot of our very conservative friends have finally had an altar call. They've seen the Lord," Biden said. "Whether it's on Fox News or whether it's the most conservative commentators or governors."

Biden then "genuinely" complimented the Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey for improving vaccination rates in her state.

"Thank God the governor of Arkansas – excuse me, of Alabama – had one of the lowest vaccination rates in the country – is now, and I'm genuinely complimenting her," Biden said before trailing off as he was interrupted by hecklers only minutes into his speech.

President Biden responded to the jeering by saying, "This is not a Trump rally, let 'em holler. No-one's paying attention to them."

According to reporters covering the event, the hecklers were anti-pipeline protesters who were shouting, "Stop Line 3!" The Enbridge Line 3 is a proposed pipeline expansion that would stretch from Alberta, Canada to Superior, Wisconsin. The protesters are demanding that President Biden to use his executive powers to stop the Enbridge Line 3 project like he did with the Keystone XL pipeline.

There were pro-Biden chants that followed, attendees chanting, "Let's go, Joe!"

Biden spoke at the campaign event for McAuliffe, who won the Democratic nomination to return to his old job in June. McAuliffe will square off in the November election against Republican Glenn Youngkin, who is endorsed by former President Donald Trump.

During the campaign event, with an estimated 3,000 people in attendance, Biden taunted Trump by bringing up the 2020 presidential election.

"Terry and I share a lot in common — I ran against Donald Trump, and so is Terry," Biden told the crowd. "And I whipped Donald Trump in Virginia, and so will Terry."

Biden told the crowd that Republicans offer "nothing more than fear, lies and broken promises."

"The United States is based on — the only country in the world based on the proposition, 'We hold these truths to be self-evident,' that all women and men are created equal, endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness," he stated. "We've never met the test, but we've never walked away from it like the Republicans have."

At the rally, was Biden's first in-person campaign event appearance since becoming president, he stumped for McAuliffe.

"You're not gonna find anyone, I mean anyone, who knows how to get more done for Virginia than Terry," Biden said. "Off-year election, the country's looking. This is a big deal."

Recent polling shows McAuliffe ahead of Youngkin by 46% to 42%, with 12% undecided.

Violence breaks out at Biden rally in Wisconsin

In what should have been a festive day for Biden supporters quickly turned violent at a rally in Madison, Wisconsin. A man at a Biden-Harris gathering brutally assaulted another rally-goer on Saturday, only hours after several media outlets declared that Joe Biden had won the 2020 presidential election.

The event featured Black Lives Matter flags flying as well as people holding signs that said: "Biden-Harris" and "Socialists believe black lives matter." At one point, a man with a blue shirt becomes agitated about an alleged missing phone.

"I dropped my phone," the man yells. "Get my phone. It was right there."

The man looks away and then viciously sucker-punches the person standing in front of him who didn't appear to instigate the violence and didn't appear to retaliate. The man lands several punches on the face of the person in front of him, as seen in the video taken by photojournalist Rebecca Brannon.

A police officer is standing in close proximity of the fight and quickly breaks up the brouhaha. The assailant runs away and is dragged to the ground by another man at the Biden-Harris rally. Police surround the attacker.

One of the speakers at the event tried to calm down the situation. "Come on! The last thing we want to do is see a black man get arrested by the police," she announced over the sound system.

"Black people just made history today and you want to be f***ing ignorant," a man screamed on a megaphone. "You want to bring the place down. F*** you!"

Earlier in the day, Biden called for "unity."

"With the campaign over, it's time to put the anger and the harsh rhetoric behind us and come together as a nation," Biden said. "It's time for America to unite. And to heal.

There were other Biden celebrations in the United States on Saturday with large crowds, where social distancing wasn't possible.

Joe Biden fantasizes about assaulting President Trump, who laughs off physical threats from his opponent

With only three days until the 2020 election, the race is heating up in a very unexpected way: both septuagenarian presidential candidates are talking about fistfighting each other.

Hostilities on the campaign trail escalated on Saturday when Joe Biden fantasized about assaulting President Donald Trump. At his drive-in rally in Flint, Michigan, the former vice president talked about wanting to physically strike when the two were in high school, which would have been in the early 1960s.

"The president likes to portray himself — I love this — he likes to portray himself as a tough guy," Biden said. "When you were in high school, wouldn't you have liked to take the shot? Anyway, that's a different story."

The comment about wanting to assault Trump came during Biden's campaign where he has stressed "unity." When he accepted the nomination to be the Democratic presidential candidate, Biden declared, "Love is more powerful than hate."

This isn't the first occasion that Biden dreamed of fighting Trump in high school. In October 2016, Biden said, "The press always asks me, don't I wish I were debating him?" Biden said while campaigning for Hillary Clinton. "No, I wish I were in high school, I could take him behind the gym. That's what I wish."

On Saturday, Trump recalled Biden's comments calling for fisticuffs from four years ago during a rally in Reading, Pennsylvania. Trump referenced the reported emails from Hunter Biden's laptop, which allegedly detail overseas dealings with a Chinese energy company. In one of the emails, there is a person labeled as "the big guy," a source alleges that "the big guy" is Joe Biden.

"The big guy, 'the big guy' they call him," Trump said to the crowd in referencing his opponent. "He's not a big guy."

Trump then jokingly makes a hand gesture of him poking Biden and his political rival falling down.

"Do you remember like a year ago, year and a half ago, he said 'I'd like to take him to the back of the barn,'" Trump asked the crowd.

Then Trump pretends to throw a punch, which is followed by the audience chanting "lock him up."

"A slight slap, you don't have to close your fist," Trump quipped.

Then Trump ends by saying that he "isn't inciting violence."

Trump supporters crash Biden rally, Joe calls them 'chumps;' Trump says Biden rallies have 'tiny crowds'

President Donald Trump and Joe Biden both held rallies on Saturday as both candidates make a final push before the Nov. 3 presidential election. Unfortunately for the Biden campaign, their rally turned into a Trump rally.

Biden held a drive-in rally in Bristol, Pennsylvania, north of Philadelphia. There were reportedly 170 cars at the drive-in rally for the Democratic presidential nominee.

The Biden rally quickly became a Trump rally when supporters of the president swarmed the area. CNN political correspondent MJ Lee said, "Practically a Trump drive-in rally here now outside the Biden drive-in event."

Reportedly, the Trump supporters were honking their horns and using megaphones, including one person who chanted, "Four more years!" Biden called the Pennsylvania Trump supporters "chumps" twice during Saturday's rally.

"By the way, we don't do things like those chumps out there with the microphone are doing, the Trump guys," Biden said. "Look, we've got to come together."

"I'll work as hard for those who don't support me as those who do, including those chumps at the microphone out there," Biden said, then coughing into his hand. "That's the job of a president, the duty to care for everyone. The duty to heal."

Meanwhile, Trump held a campaign rally in Lumberton, North Carolina. During his speech, the president lampooned Biden over his "tiny crowds" at his drive-in rallies.

"People in cars. I don't get it. They're in cars," Trump said. "There were so few cars. I've never seen an audience like this."

"His partner, the media, the media made a mistake. They made a tragic mistake. They showed the crowd," Trump told the audience. "They were screaming, 'Don't do it! Don't show the crowd!"

Trump called the rally a "tiny, tiny little crowd." "You heard a couple of horns — honk! Honk!"

After the North Carolina rally, Trump is scheduled to make two more campaign stops on Saturday in Circleville, Ohio, and Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Joe Biden reads from a giant teleprompter at another sparsely attended rally

Despite Joe Biden reportedly holding a commanding lead over President Donald Trump in the polls, some which show the former vice president leading by double digits, Biden continues to draw anything remotely close to a sizeable crowd. The concerning lack of excitement over Biden's campaign was punctuated last week when the Democratic presidential nominee and his running mate Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) made a campaign stop in Phoenix, and there was zero fanfare to greet them.

The Biden campaign experienced another dismal rally on Friday in Detroit, Michigan. Biden appeared at a "voter mobilization event" in Detroit at around 6:20 p.m. on Friday. This was a drive-in rally at the Michigan State Fairgrounds in Novi.

Video from the sparsely attended rally was shared on Twitter, where online commenters quickly noticed that Biden's teleprompter was bigger than his crowd.

— Brendan Gutenschwager (@Brendan Gutenschwager)1602889034.0

The Biden campaign has been sensitive towards questions regarding Joe's use of teleprompters. Last month, Biden's national press secretary for the campaign became extremely defensive when he was asked about teleprompters.

Fox News' Bret Baier asked Biden spokesman TJ Ducklo, "Has Joe Biden ever used a teleprompter during local interviews or to answer Q&A with supporters?" Despite being asked the question several times, Ducklo never answered the question, dismissing the query as "straight from the Trump campaign talking points."

Days after Ducklo's interview, the Trump campaign released an ad titled "Joe's Teleprompter," highlighting Biden's seeming dependence on a teleprompter during interviews.

In addition to the meager crowd at Biden's rally on Friday, Detroit was no picnic for Biden. Besides his poor turnout at the rally, Biden was asked about the New York Post article featuring alleged emails from Hunter Biden, which outline his son's reported overseas dealings in Ukraine and in China.

Right before Biden boarded a plane in Detroit, CBS News reporter Bo Erickson asked the former vice president for his response to the article. Biden lashed out, called it a "smear campaign," adding, "Right up your alley, those are the questions you always ask."

Embarrassing footage from Biden event shows Trump supporters drowning out the candidate with chants of 'Four More Years' — from hundreds of feet away

Just days after virtually no one showed up to see him speak in Phoenix, Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden had another embarrassing campaign moment, this time in Ohio.

What are the details?

While speaking Monday at a drive-in event in Toledo about jobs and the economy, the former vice president was repeatedly drowned out by supporters of President Trump chanting "Four More Years!"

Footage from the event posted on Twitter by NBC News reporter Marianna Sotomayor show Biden speaking in front of parked cars while the Trump supporters, located hundreds of feet away and across the street, waved flags and made enough noise that Biden couldn't be heard clearly.

— Marianna Sotomayor (@Marianna Sotomayor)1602526335.0

According to Sotomayor, the Trump supporters chanted "Four More Years," "Trump," and "USA" throughout the event whenever Biden mentioned the president.

During the campaign stop, Biden touted his economic recovery plan to "Build Back Better" and slammed the president as "reckless."

"The longer Donald Trump is president, the more reckless he seems to get," Biden said during the speech. "Trump panicked. His reckless personal conduct since his diagnosis has been unconscionable."

The event was the first of two that the Democratic nominee had planned in Ohio on Monday. The Biden campaign is scheduled to hold a get-out-the-vote event in Cincinnati, Ohio, later in the evening.

What else?

In a phone interview with reporters, Trump campaign manager Bill Stepien mocked Biden over the size of crowds at his campaign rallies.

"Joe Biden, speaking of travel, is going to be in Ohio today speaking to literally several people on the ground — a state the president won in 2016 and is going to win again in November," he said, according to CBS News. "We are quite happy to see Joe Biden wasting a valuable day on the campaign trail in a state that he won't win in three weeks."

The Trump campaign, citing its confidence in the president's chances of winning Ohio, has opted not to spend ad money in the state even as Election Day draws ever nearer.

Ohio is considered a must-win swing state for both presidential campaigns. In 2016, Trump carried the state by more than 8 percentage points.

According to RealClearPolitics polling averages, the race is extremely tight in the battleground state with Biden holding a 0.6% lead.
