'A first-year law student could have driven a truck through the holes': Megyn Kelly DESTROYS 'bombshell' Jan. 6  testimony

Cassidy Hutchinson's supposed "bombshell" testimony to the House Jan. 6 committee was so uncertain that “a first-year law student could have driven a truck through the holes," said journalist and attorney Megyn Kelly on her Sirius XM broadcast.

Hutchinson, an aide to then-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, told the committee this week that former President Donald Trump became incensed when he was prevented from going to the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 and allegedly grabbed at the vehicle's steering wheel, then lunged at a Secret Service agent.

Kelly, who is admittedly no great fan of the former president and his questionable "temperament," argued that the Jan. 6 committee is so motivated by fear and hatred that they'll do anything "it takes" to stop Donald Trump from running again in 2024.

"As many of you may recall, I raised questions about Donald Trump's temperament to be president at a debate back in 2015. I think that was a fair issue then and I think it was at the root of why he lost in 2020," she asserted. "But what's happening on Capitol Hill is a very long sleight of hand. This committee has one goal and only one goal: to stop Donald Trump from running again in 2024. They're worried he could win."

Kelly noted the one-sided makeup of the committee, pointing out that there are "no Trump defenders, not a single Trump ally and no objective trier of fact." She accused the committee of "doctor[ing]" the riot video and Trump sound bites used at the hearing.

"If this committee would just be honest about its mission, I might be more invested. I might be more interested. Instead, it cloaks itself in sanctimony, purporting to be a fair-minded, down-the-middle finder of fact just looking to get to the truth of January 6th. It's a lie, and they prove every time they get together that it's a lie," she added.

Cassidy Hutchinson's supposed "bombshell" testimony is "causing Democrats and the press to collapse onto their fainting couches," Kelly went on to say before launching into a one-by-one breakdown of each of the testimony's major points.

"A first-year law student could have driven a truck through the holes in that testimonial. Unfortunately, none was present ... never mind a full-fledged lawyer presenting Donald Trump’s defense or even just pressing the witness on certain problems with her testimony," she stated.

Secret Service agent and former White House official willing to testify that false claims were made at Jan. 6 hearing about Trump

A former White House official and a Secret Service agent said they were willing to testify in the Jan. 6 hearings in order to contradict claims that former President Donald Trump got into an altercation while trying to make his way to the Capitol rioting.

The claims were made by Cassidy Hutchinson, an aide to former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, on Tuesday.

Hutchinson said that she heard from Tony Ornato, then-White House deputy chief of staff, that the former president became incensed when he wasn't allowed to go to the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. He is alleged to have grabbed at the steering wheel of the vehicle and then lunged at the agent who was preventing him from leaving.

Later on Tuesday, that Secret Secret agent reportedly said he was willing to testify that this account was false. Ornato also indicated the same willingness to testify contrary to the story.

Both Ornato and Robert Engel, the agent, had previously testified for the Jan. 6 Committee behind closed doors about what they witnessed on that day.

A spokesperson for the committee released a short statement about the development.

“The Committee trusts the credibility of a witness who was willing to testify under oath & in public but is also willing to hear any information that others may have that would aid in their investigation," read the statement.

Among the other shocking claims from Hutchinson, she stated that Trump allegedly said that Vice President Mike Pence deserved to be hanged by the crowd of people rioting at the U.S. Capitol.

The former president took to social media to deny some of the claims and to lambast Hutchinson as a person that he hardly knew except for his having heard terrible things about her.

In response to the day's testimony, Fox News host Bret Baier said the claims were "stunning" and "compelling" because of Hutchinson's proximity to power.
