'King of the Hill' voice actor allegedly shot dead by neighbor; tributes pour in: 'A terrible tragedy'

"King of the Hill" voice actor Jonathan Joss was shot dead in Texas following an argument with a neighbor, according to reports.

At around 7 p.m. Sunday, police were dispatched to a reported shooting at a residence in San Antonio, according to WOAI-TV.

'He was murdered by someone who could not stand the sight of two men loving each other.'

Officers with the San Antonio Police Department discovered a man near the road suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

First responders attempted lifesaving measures, but the 59-year-old victim reportedly was pronounced dead at the crime scene.

The victim was identified as Joss — an actor who has appeared in several popular TV shows.

Police identified the shooting suspect as 56-year-old Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja, according to NBC News, which added that Ceja was arrested and charged with Joss' murder.

TMZ reported that Ceja and Joss had lived two doors down from each other and that they had gotten into a "fiery dispute" Sunday that led to the fatal shooting. The outlet added that the pair had reportedly gotten into "verbal and physical fights in the past."

Joss’ husband — Tristan Kern de Gonzales — told the Associated Press that the person who killed the voice actor screamed "violent homophobic slurs" before firing his gun.

"He was murdered by someone who could not stand the sight of two men loving each other," de Gonzales declared to the AP, adding that the shooter was "openly homophobic."

But police dispelled rumors that the murder was a hate crime over Joss being gay.

"Despite online claims of this being a hate crime, currently the investigation has found no evidence to indicate that Mr. Joss’s murder was related to his sexual orientation," police said in a statement. "SAPD investigators handle these allegations very seriously and have thoroughly reviewed all available information. Should any new evidence come to light, the suspect will be charged accordingly."

Joss was best known as the voice of John Redcorn, a character on the "King of the Hill" animated TV series that ran from 1997 to 2009. A "King of the Hill" reboot is scheduled to premiere in August on Hulu.

According to Variety, Joss already had recorded dialogue for the series' reboot.

Just days ago, Joss was seen on video promoting the reboot during a panel at the ATX TV Festival in Austin.

Joss has 49 acting credits to his name, including his recurring role as Chief Ken Hotate in "Parks and Recreation." Joss also appeared on "Tulsa King," "Ray Donovan," "Walker, Texas Ranger," "True Grit," and "The Magnificent Seven."

Tributes to Joss rolled in from celebrities.

"Parks and Recreation" co-star Chris Pratt wrote on Instagram, "Damn. RIP Jonathan. Always such a kind dude. He played Ken Hotate in 'Parks and Recreation' and was also in 'The Magnificent Seven.' Sad to see. Prayers up. Hug your loved ones."

Fellow "Parks and Recreation" actor Nick Offerman told People magazine, "The cast has been texting together about it all day, and we're just heartbroken. Jonathan was such a sweet guy, and we loved having him as our Chief Ken Hotate. A terrible tragedy."

De Gonzales stated, "To everyone who supported him, his fans, his friends, know that he valued you deeply. He saw you as family."

'He would bash me on my head': Cassie Ventura testifies Diddy beat her, details 'freak-offs' with 'dozens' of prostitutes

Singer Casandra "Cassie" Ventura hurled damning accusations against Sean "Diddy" Combs during the trial of the rapper turned fashion icon.

Ventura took the witness stand Tuesday in Manhattan federal court in the sex trafficking and racketeering trial against Combs.

Ventura claimed that Combs often videotaped these sexual encounters with 'dozens and dozens' of prostitutes, and she feared that he could 'blackmail' her by releasing the footage online.

Ventura — who dated the 55-year-old Combs from 2007 to 2018 — testified in court that she “only ever saw handguns” at his residences in Los Angeles, New York City, Miami, and Alpine, New Jersey.

When prosecutors asked whether she ever handled any of Combs’ firearms, the 38-year-old Ventura responded, “I was handed one. We were going to a club [gig] in downtown L.A."

“I just remember we took mushrooms, and I was, like, really high. I was handed the gun just to hold in my bag, but I was freaking out the whole time [that] it was going to go off," Ventura said in court, according to Page Six.

She allegedly admitted that she did not know how to operate the gun. She added that the firearm stayed in her bag for up to an hour and a half while they were at the nightclub.

Ventura — the prosecution's star witness — recalled feeling “terrified.”

Diddy's former girlfriend alleged that she later gave the firearm back to security.

"I have no idea why I had a loaded gun," she told prosecutors.

Ventura said, “The guns were taken out here and there. I always felt like it was a little bit of a scare tactic. I didn’t know for what purpose."

Ventura accused Diddy of physically assaulting her.

The singer alleged, "He would bash me on my head, knock me over, drag me, kick me, stomp me on the head if I was down. … [I would] make the wrong face, and the next thing I knew, I was getting hit in the face."

She claimed the “violent” assaults became so severe that she would “get knots” on her forehead.

Ventura told the courtroom that she suffered daily “psychological abuse” during her relationship with Combs. She claimed Combs said he wanted “control” over every aspect of her life and career.

Ventura was asked about the infamous "freak-offs" — the reportedly drug-fueled, multiday marathons of sex with prostitutes.

Ventura replied, "It basically entails the hiring of an escort and setting up this experience so that I could perform for Sean."

The singer said on the stand that she was given drugs so she could “perform” for Combs for hours during the alleged "freak-offs."

"The ‘freak-offs' became a job, where there was no space to do anything else but to recover and feel normal again," Ventura alleged.

Cassie testified that the "freak-offs" quickly made her feel “disgusting,” “humiliated,” and "worthless" but that Combs was allegedly not concerned about her feelings.

Ventura said she was a 19-year-old singer and model when she met the then-38-year-old Combs in Manhattan.

“There was a 17-year age difference," Ventura stated. "I was really confused at the time, you know, new artist. I was pretty naive.”

Combs' music label, Bad Boy Records, gave Cassie a 10-album deal. However, only one album was released.

Ventura said in court that she was initially drawn to Combs because he was “entertaining,” “fun,” and “larger than life," Variety reported.

She added that Combs "happened to have my career in his hands.”

Prosecutor Elizabeth Johnson said in her opening argument, "This case is not about a celebrity's private sexual preferences. It's about coercive crimes."

Combs' defense attorney, Teny Geragos, admitted in her opening statement that Combs was "a jerk" and "mean." Geragos also said Diddy has "a bad temper" and has issues with drug use, according to NPR.

On Monday, a security guard who allegedly witnessed Combs assaulting Ventura at a Los Angeles hotel in 2016 gave testimony.

Another Monday witness was an alleged male escort who claimed to have been paid on several occasions over two years to have sex with Ventura while Combs watched.

Ventura allegedly told the court that she didn’t want to have “sex with strangers” for Combs’ enjoyment, but she "didn’t feel like I had much of a choice. I didn’t know what ‘no’ could be, or what ‘no’ could turn into.”

Ventura claimed that Combs often videotaped these sexual encounters with "dozens and dozens" of prostitutes, and she feared that he could “blackmail” her by releasing the footage online.

As Blaze News reported last May, a disturbing video surfaced allegedly showing an "extremely intoxicated" Diddy brutally assaulting Ventura in the hallway of a Los Angeles hotel in 2016.

If convicted, Combs could spend the rest of his life in prison.

'They’ve normalized a behavior that’s demonic.'

"Fearless" host Jason Whitlock delved into some of the salacious accusations from the Diddy trial.

“My first and initial takeaway is that this society that we’ve built, where entertainers — and particularly in the rap music world, but in the music industry in general — we shower millions upon millions of dollars on entertainers, and there’s a level of power that comes along with showering that much money on entertainers," Whitlock declared.

He continued, "And when you build a particular form of music that’s based off of prison culture and prison values, what do you think they’re going to do with all this money and power you’ve handed over to them?"

The "Fearless with Jason Whitlock" host added that rappers use their money to "buy gold chains, to buy sex slaves, and to host lavish drug-filled drunken parties."

“Anybody that wants to deny the wickedness, the evilness, the debauchery, the depravity, the nihilism of this music and the people that they’re putting up as, ‘Hey, take these people seriously. These are your leaders,’” Whitlock stated. “These are criminals, unrepentant criminals, and they’re degenerates.”

“They’ve normalized a behavior that’s demonic, and just following the early parts of this trial and what comes out of it, it just reconfirms in my mind, these people need to be called demons. That’s what they are,” Whitlock added.

2025’s Low-Talent Met Gala Was Just Like The Modern Democrat Party

Democrats lost the working class, and their latest effort at gaining it back is to — hold on, let me check my notes — oh, turn the mega-rich Met gala into DEI “resistance” programming. It’s true. Neil Young attacks Elon Musk in new song, says Tesla owners are fascists, praises China

Musician Neil Young debuted a new song in which he attacks Elon Musk, claims that Tesla buyers are fascists, and praises China.

Young recently performed at the Light Up the Bluesbenefit concert at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles alongside Stephen Stills, Billy Idol, Cat Power, Rufus Wainwright, and Linda Perry. The annual charity concert raises funds for Autism Speaks.

'If you’re a fascist, get a Tesla.'

Young ranted about Musk, Tesla vehicles, and China in his latest song.

"If you’re a fascist, get a Tesla / It’s electric, it doesn’t matter / If you’re a Democrat, taste your freedom / Get whatever you want, taste your freedom," Young is heard singing in video clips posted online.

The singer-songwriter behind classic songs such as "Rockin’ in the Free World" and "Heart of Gold" urged American carmakers to challenge Tesla, which dominates the electric vehicle market. Young also praised China for being "way ahead" of the United States in making "clean cars."

“Come on, Ford, come on, GM / Come on, Chrysler, let’s roll again," Young sang. “Build something special, that people need / Build us a safe way for us to live / Build us something that won’t kill our kids / Build us something that runs real clean / Come on, America, let’s get in the race / China’s way ahead, they’re making clean cars.”

The politically charged song is titled "Let’s Roll Again," according to the Daily Beast.

Liberals have been unhinged ever since Musk publicly supported Donald Trump in the 2024 election, and when the Tesla CEO was appointed as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency.

Tesla vehicles have been vandalized across the country, and Tesla dealerships have been violently attacked by militant leftists furious at Musk for his role in the DOGE cutting wasteful and fraudulent federal government spending.

This isn't the first time that Young weaponized his music to make a political message.

In 2020, Young sued Trump for using "Rockin’ in the Free World" during his first re-election campaign. However, Young dropped the lawsuit.

As Blaze News reported in January 2022, Young demanded that Joe Rogan be terminated or censored by Spotify for "spreading fake information about vaccines." The ultimatum completely backfired, and Spotify retained Rogan and removed Young's music instead.

Last month, Young — who has Canadian and U.S. citizenship — claimed that he could be barred from returning to the United States by the Trump administration.

“When I go to play music in Europe, if I talk about Donald J. Trump, I may be one of those returning to America who is barred or put in jail to sleep on a cement floor with an aluminum blanket,” Young said, according to Variety. “That is happening all the time now. Countries have new advice for those returning to America. You can read about it at the Canada Desk. If I come back from Europe and am barred, can’t play my USA tour, all of the folks who bought tickets will not be able to come to a concert by me.”

Pedro Pascal attacks JK Rowling over UK's Supreme Court ruling protecting biological women from transgender individuals

Actor Pedro Pascal attacked author J.K. Rowling over her reaction to a recent landmark ruling by the U.K.'s Supreme Court that defines a woman based on biological sex, which could bar biological males posing as transgender females from spaces designated for biological women.

Last week, the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom made a unanimous decision that the legal definition of a woman is based on biological sex.

'Awful disgusting S**T is exactly right. Heinous LOSER behavior.'

The BBC said of the Supreme Court ruling, "Specifically, they ruled that the definition of sex as used in the Equality Act 2010 is 'binary' and decided by biology — a person who was not born as a biological female cannot obtain the legal protections the Act affords to women by changing their gender with a Gender Recognition Certificate."

Rowling enthusiastically approved the Supreme Court ruling by posting a photo of herself on the X social media platform with a cigar and a drink with the caption, "I love it when a plan comes together. #SupremeCourt #WomensRights."

Numerous celebrities applauded the reaction by Rowling, including Elon Musk, Megyn Kelly, Jordan Peterson, and Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.).

However, not everyone was as enthusiastic over Rowling's celebration of the historic ruling by the U.K.'s Supreme Court.

A pro-Palestinian and pro-transgender activist named Tariq Ra'ouf demanded a boycott of "Harry Potter" projects and experiences in an Instagram video.

Ra'ouf said of Rowling's post, "This is some serious Voldemort villain s**t, right here."

Ra'ouf urged everyone to make it their "mission" to make the "Harry Potter" franchise no longer profitable to "anyone who dares to do business with J.K. Rowling."

Speaking of Rowling's opinion that men who identify as transgender shouldn't be invading spaces designated for women, Ra'ouf said, "That s**t, that awful disgusting s**t, that has consequences."

In response to Ra'ouf's video, Pascal replied in the comments: “Awful disgusting S**T is exactly right. Heinous LOSER behavior.”

The official Instagram of Pascal has nearly 10 million followers.

Pascal – the 50-year-old star of HBO's "The Last of Us" – has been a vocal supporter of the LGBTQ community over the years.

Pascal has publicly supported his sibling, Lux Pascal, who came out as transgender in February 2021. Lux has accompanied Pascal to several red carpet premieres.

On Tuesday, Pedro Pascal attended the U.K. premiere of Marvel's "Thunderbolts" movie in London, England. Pascal was wearing a white T-shirt emblazoned with the message "Protect the Dolls."

According to Newsweek, "dolls" is an "affectionate term within the LGBTQ+ community to refer to transgender women."

The $100 T-shirt is made by Conner Ives, who created the shirt to call attention to any anti-transgender sentiment.

"Given the U.S. federal government's current hostility towards trans people, support like this is needed now more than ever," according to the website that sells the pricey activist shirt.

Also this week, "The Mandalorian" actor shared an Instagram post that featured an apparent coffin with the caption, "An unjust law is no law at all." In the post, Pascal tagged the "Trans Kids Deserve Better" Instagram account, which demands: "We deserve equal access to gender-affirming health care. To delay care to a trans person is to deny it. We don't have time to wait. Secondly, we should be able to give informed consent to our own treatment — just as any cisgender young person already can."

As Blaze News previously reported, Pascal was widely lambasted after posting a social media tribute to Joseph Rosenbaum — one of Kyle Rittenhouse's attackers.

Watch wild dashcam video of hit-and-run crash that led to bizarre chain of events culminating in arrest of rock star's wife

Newly released dashcam video shows the moment of a crazy hit-and-run accident involving multiple vehicles in Southern California last week that led to a bizarre chain of events culminating in the arrest of the wife of rock band Weezer's bassist.

As Blaze News previously reported, 51-year-old best-selling author Jillian Lauren Shriner was arrested last Tuesday and charged with attempted murder of a peace officer.

'It’s crazy how just one man can cause so much chaos.'

Shriner exited her home in the Eagle Rock neighborhood of Los Angeles at the same time police swarmed the area to search for three suspects involved in a hit-and-run incident. Police say Shriner was armed with a handgun.

“The officers ordered Shriner to drop the handgun multiple times; however, she refused," according to the police report obtained by KNBC-TV. "Shriner then pointed the handgun at the officers, and an officer-involved shooting occurred."

Citing Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson Jennifer Forkish, the Los Angeles Times reported that Shriner "pointed her gun at officers" and "opened fire."

Cops allegedly returned fire and shot Shriner in the shoulder, and then she fled into her home.

Shriner then purportedly exited her house and surrendered to the police. She was transported to a hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Police reportedly recovered a 9mm handgun from Shriner's home.

Shriner — the wife of Weezer bassist Scott Shriner — was taken into custody but released after posting a $1 million bond.

Police officers reportedly apprehended the alleged hit-and-run driver in a neighboring back yard. Video seemingly shows the suspect attempting to blend into the neighborhood by watering a garden and wearing only his boxers.

The man was arrested and charged with one count of misdemeanor hit-and-run. He allegedly got into a car crash with two other vehicles on a nearby freeway.

KABC-TV released wild dashcam video of the crash, as well as the suspect fleeing the crime scene with clothes and a guitar.

Video shows a gray sedan swerving across multiple lanes, slamming into a black car, and then a Tesla crashing into the other vehicles from the rear.

David Gonzalez was driving his brand-new Telsa when he was involved in the three-car collision.

“I thought I was in an episode of 'GTA,'" Gonzalez said of the crash, referring to the Grand Theft Auto video game. "Honestly, that stuff just doesn’t happen."

Gonzalez suffered an injured back and broken arm in the crash and will require surgery.

His Tesla, which he purchased just two weeks ago, was totaled.

Gonzalez said of the events following the car crash, "Ripple effect. At the moment, I had no clue what happened after, but it’s crazy how just one man can cause so much chaos."

Shriner is scheduled to return to court on April 30.

Why The Girlboss Space Launch Was A Giant Step Back For Womankind

This supposed great boon for feminism was actually a bust.

Celebrity-backed climate change finance company is bankrupt after Democrat-linked co-founder arrested for $145M fraud scheme

A climate change finance company that was backed by big name celebrities has filed for bankruptcy. The bankruptcy follows the arrest of the company's co-founder for allegedly attempting to defraud investors of $145 million.

Aspiration Inc., now known as CTN Holdings Inc., is a company that originally started as a sustainability focused financial services firm.

Ibrahim Ameen AlHusseini – also a prolific donor to Democrat causes who served on Aspiration's board of directors — allegedly participated in the scheme to defraud investors.

Aspiration is a self-described "climate-friendly banking alternative that's good for your wallet and the planet."

"When it comes to climate change, your money is power," the Aspiration website reads. "You can feel good knowing that your deposits will not fund fossil fuel exploration or production. By moving money to Aspiration, you’re giving the climate a fighting chance."

Aspiration was reportedly backed by notable celebrities, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Drake, Robert Downey Jr., Orlando Bloom, Cindy Crawford, and billionaire Steve Ballmer.

The climate change banking company – which reached a peak valuation of $2.3 billion in 2021 – shifted to selling carbon credits to other businesses in 2023, which Forbes described as a "strange pivot."

Aspiration then brokered carbon credit deals with major corporations such as Microsoft, Meta Platforms, and Ballmer's Los Angeles Clippers.

Aspiration was founded in 2013 by Andrei Cherny and Joe Sanberg – both heavily linked to the Democratic Party.

At age 21, Cherny became a speechwriter for former President Bill Clinton. Cherny is a former chair of the Arizona Democratic Party.

He previously lost the Democratic primary in Arizona for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2012 to Kyrsten Sinema. The Democrat also lost in 2024 when running in Arizona's 1st Congressional District election.

Meanwhile, Sanberg is a progressive anti-poverty advocate and a Democratic donor.

On March 3, 2025, the U.S. Attorney's Office of California's Central District announced that Sanberg had been arrested on a federal criminal complaint accusing him of conspiring to defraud two investor funds of at least $145 million.

Sanberg’s alleged co-conspirator, Ibrahim Ameen AlHusseini, pleaded guilty to wire fraud for falsifying documents and information to assist Sanberg.

Ibrahim Ameen AlHusseini – also a prolific donor to Democrat causes who served on Aspiration's board of directors — allegedly participated in the scheme to defraud investors.

"According to the complaint against Sanberg and AlHusseini’s plea agreement, Sanberg obtained $145 million in loans secured by AlHusseini, who Sanberg knew did not have sufficient financial assets to cover those loans if Sanberg defaulted," the statement read. "Sanberg hid this fact from investors, then defaulted on the loans, which resulted in at least a $145 million in losses."

Sanberg allegedly negotiated multimillion-dollar loans by pledging Aspiration stock as collateral.

Prosecutors said of AlHusseini, "At Sanberg’s direction, the defendant made untrue statements. Defendant and Sanberg knew that the falsified statements inflated the value of the assets in defendant’s accounts by tens of millions of dollars."

The U.S. Attorney's Office of California's Central District said Sanberg defaulted on a $145 million loan in November 2022 and again in the spring of 2023.

Sanberg has pleaded not guilty.

Sanberg’s lawyer, Marc Mukasey, stated, “Mr. Sanberg has pleaded not guilty to the charges. We will buckle down and defend him with vigor and zeal.”

If convicted, Sanberg faces a maximum prison sentence of 20 years.

Forbes reported, "The charges against Sanberg relate only to his personal conduct; CTN isn’t implicated, according to a court filing."

In a filing in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington, Delaware, chief restructuring officer Miles Staglik said he doesn’t believe the accusations implicate CTN in any criminal activity. However, investors affiliated with Sanberg reportedly stopped providing funding to CTN in February 2025.

Staglik admitted that the criminal case has hurt the company's ability to raise capital to operate. CTN had trouble finding sufficient funding to keep the business afloat, according to bankruptcy filings.

Staglik "emphasized that current management and employees were unaware of the alleged misconduct and that the business itself is a victim," according to the Wall Street Journal.

Sanberg no longer holds any positions at CTN Holdings and is no longer involved in its operations.

On March 30, 2025, Aspiration, which had been rebranded as CTN Holdings, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in Delaware. The company reportedly has approximately $170 million in debt.

Bloomberg reported, "CTN’s largest unsecured creditor is the National Basketball Association’s Los Angeles Clippers and Kia Forum, which are both owned by Steven Ballmer. Aspiration’s backers included Ballmer, whose Clippers and Kia Forum hold roughly $40 million in unsecured claims for 'contracted carbon credits' and 'carbon credit value,' according to the bankruptcy petition."

Ballmer is a "major funder of progressive-left groups," according to Influence Watch.

In addition to the potentially damning Sanberg allegations, the U.S. Department of Justice and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission have reportedly been investigating Aspiration over its claims of "planting 35 million trees, raising questions about the validity of its environmental impact," according to Forbes.

ProPublica reported in 2021: "Aspiration’s signature marketing claim — about its tree-planting program — turns out to be overblown upon closer examination."

Cherny said in August 2021, "In the past year, the Aspiration community has planted over 35 million trees."

According to ProPublica, "The footnote for one of Aspiration’s two main tree programs presents a different picture than Cherny did: 'The advertised number of trees planted is the cumulative total of to-be planted trees ...' In other words, that 35 million figure included millions of trees that had not actually yet been planted."

The outlet also pointed out that Aspiration boasts that it has "5 million passionate members."

ProPublica noted, "But the fine print in an investor presentation prepared by the company explains that a 'member' is defined as anyone who has ever signed the terms and conditions in preparation for opening an Aspiration account — even if that person never actually opened the account or deposited a penny in it. Aspiration’s actual tally of active customer accounts was 592,148 as of June. That includes all checking, savings, credit card and investment accounts."
