WATCH: Secret video shows hundreds of illegal immigrants behind curtains at major US airport

Chicago O'Hare International Airport is one of the biggest airports in the country, and it has a little secret: it’s housing illegal immigrants — hundreds of them.

Dave Rubin plays a secretly taken video showing row upon row of migrants' beds hidden behind curtains at the airport.

“It’s an airport,” the anonymous cameraman mutters in shock as he walks down a hallway lined with black curtains concealing the chaos.

“Congratulations, sanctuary city of Chicago,” mocks Dave. “Does that seem good to you? Does that seem just to you? Does that seem like something that you want your tax dollars to pay for?”

“We are at this prescient moment right now where we're about to choose, and you better choose carefully; otherwise we will get exactly what we deserve,” he warns.

Chicago mayor blames 'right-wing extremism' for migrant crisis: 'It's mean-spirited. It's an unclean spirit'

Liberal Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson blamed "right-wing extremism" for the migrant crisis plaguing the city on Tuesday.

Johnson was announcing new support for migrants when he went on a tirade blaming the right for the crisis after being asked if he would support a limit on the number of migrants being sent to Chicago from other states and cities.

"It has to be better coordination. What we have seen is a raggedy form instituted by right-wing extremism," said Johnson.

"Everyone knows that the right-wing extremism in this country has targetted Democratically-ran cities and quite frankly, they've been very intentional about going after Democratically-ran cities that are led by people of color," he added.

The mayor said that 17 churches were coordinating to provide shelter and other services for the thousands of migrants who have arrived in the city. He calls it the Unity Initiative and claims that it will come at no cost to the taxpayer.

The initiative will be a temporary stopgap measure as the city continues building a large tent camp for asylum seekers in the neighborhood of Brighton Park. That effort has also been criticized over accusations that the site has been contaminated by heavy metals.

Johnson said that Republicans were purposely sending migrants without coordinating with city officials in order to create chaos.

"This is the same political party that did not want to accept that President Obama was actually an American," he continued. "It's the same Republican right-wing extremism that stormed the Capitol. It's the same right-wing extremism that refuses to accept the results of the Civil War. It's raggedy. It's disrespectful it's mean-spirited. It's an unclean spirit, quite frankly."

Chicago's Democrat leaders have had to face the anger from some of the residents who are angry at migrants being provided services that they say should go to legal residents.

Johnson went on to quote the singer Beyonce after accusing Republicans of racism.

Chicago mayor condemns protesters after they swarm alderwoman over migrant tent plan, one aide sent to the hospital

Chicago police had to intervene when residents swarmed an alderwoman during a protest against the construction of a migrant camp involving tents on a vacant city block.

Residents said they were not warned about the construction of the camp beforehand and that they found out about it from a news report.

"Our alderwoman didn't let us know. There were no notices. There was nothing in the mail. We felt very stabbed in the back," said Jacquelyn Zuniga, a resident of Brighton Park.

They also claimed that even though there was a scheduled hearing to talk about the tent plan, the camp would have been completed already by the time residents had a chance to oppose it.

News video from WBBM-TV showed Ald. Julia Ramirez be surrounded by protesters who press their protest signs against her. An aide protected her from protesters before police were able to arrive to escort the official away from the scene.

The aide, described only as a 21-year-old male, reportedly went to a hospital to seek treatment after the incident.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson described the incident as an "unconscionable" and "violent attack" on Ramirez.

"Any violent act against an elected official in our city is unacceptable and must be condemned in the strongest terms," said the mayor. "My office and the Chicago Police Department are investigating this incident, and we will provide updates as they become available."

Ramirez also released a statement explaining what happened.

"I wanted to engage directly with my community to address misinformation being spread about my involvement in the plan, and how we should move forward as a community. After having a few conversations, it became clear that most of the protesters did not want to engage in a peaceful dialogue with me. It was a truly disappointing experience," she said in the statement.

"I understand residents are fearful and have concerns about the city's plan. I have the same concerns," she continued. "I hear my residents and want them to know I will always advocate for their safety and ensure our communities have the resources they deserve. I also respect everyone's right to peacefully protest however violence and hate is not the answer."

She said the aide was not harmed. Ramirez went on to call on the mayor to re-evaluate whether a tent encampment for migrants is appropriate at the disputed site.

Republican state governors have forced the migrant crisis onto Democrat state governors who had previously lauded themselves as pro-immigrant and "sanctuary" states for illegal aliens. After migrants were bused to these cities and states, some Democrats are calling for help from the federal government.
