Protests mounting and Pride flags underfoot after Ottawa teachers told to refer to all students with 'they/them pronouns' and prohibit opt-outs from '2SLGBTQ+ learnings'

In its latest effort to force staff and students to fully embrace LGBT activism and gender ideology, an Ottawa school board appears to have found Canadians' breaking point.

Upon learning that students will no longer be referred to as boys or girls, but will rather be addressed as sexless pluralities, protesters took to the streets, demanding that the leftist administrators "leave the kids alone."

How did it start?

A trio of Ottawa-Carleton District School Board superintendents reportedly sent a letter to staff May 31 entitled, "Supporting Inclusivity: Actions for Pride Month and Beyond." The letter, obtained by Chanel Pfahl, a school trustee candidate, clarified that nothing save for total submission to LGBT precepts would be acceptable in the district.

Mary Jane Farrish, the superintendent of equity instruction, Shannon Smith, superintendent of indigenous education instruction, and Brent Smith, acting superintendent of program and learning, stressed that "2SLGBTQ+" representation in the curriculum and classroom is a "fundamental human right."

Accordingly, staff must embed resources that "accurately reflect and honor 2SLGBTQ+ identities into curriculum subjects and the overall learning environment, from Kindergarten to Grade 12."

The superintendents noted that honoring non-straight "identities" and peddling LGBT propaganda in every grade were only partial measures.

Teachers were further instructed to use "they/them pronouns" when referring to all students, not just those with gender dysphoria.

Extra to asking teachers to apply a blanket denial of biological reality in their engagement with students, the superintendents underscored that "2SLGBTQ+ learnings should be offered to the school community without the option to opt out. It is essential to understand that human rights are not open to debate or selective participation."

The Counter Signal reported that last week there was a silent protest in the district: absenteeism skyrocketed on the first day of Pride, with absences reaching above 60% in two schools and over 40% in nine others.

Elsewhere in Canada, TheBlaze recently reported that Muslim students were told they "can't be Canadian" if they refused to participate in LGBT events.

Concerning the prohibitions on opt-outs, OCDSB spokesman Darcy Knoll told the Epoch Times said, "When providing learning experiences, we do not offer proactive exemptions or excuse students from the learning on the basis that we may be highlighting a particular group of people defined by their race, religion/creed, ability, sexual orientation or gender identity. This would result in sending a message that a group of people in our community is not valued and do not belong."

As for the letter itself, Knoll said the idea was "to suggest some actions that can be taken during Pride Month and beyond to promote inclusivity and belonging in our schools."

While the OCDSB presently officially celebrates Pride Month," it may soon follow suit with the Canadian government, which celebrates "Pride Season."

Not going to take it anymore

The Ottawa Sun reported that British Columbia-based Chris Elston, critic of gender ideology and father of two who goes by "Billboard Chris" online, joined other demonstrators outside of Notre Dame High School Friday for a rally called "Education over Indoctrination.

Elston forewarned Ottawa residences in April that he was coming, stating, "No more silence."

The OCDSB issued a statement ahead of the protest, noting, "This individual, as well as others associated with this demonstration, have a history of aligning with and promoting inflammatory, transphobic, and hateful content against members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community."

"There are many in the community who are deeply concerned about these protests and wondering how to respond," continued the statement. “We encourage you to keep your message positive, promote the inclusive nature of our community, and share your support for 2SLGBTQ+ students, staff and community members, but do not create additional risks outside of schools."

Masked leftists attacked Elston at the rally, though he did not appear to take the bait.

Josh Alexander, the teen suspended from his high school in Renfrew, Ontario, after stating in class that God created only two genders, also attended the protest.

Parents, students, and other concerned citizens chanted, "Save our kids."

Just as various faith groups united in opposition to LGBT propaganda Tuesday in Rockville, Maryland, Muslim and Christian parents in Ottawa denounced the OCDSB's plan to force non-binary pronouns on kids, reported the Counter Signal.

During the protest, some protesters and their children stomped Pride flags.

Counterprotesters, some carting around signs that said, "Pride Not Prejudice," reported chanted, "Trans rights are human rights."

The black-clad militants among the pro-LGBT demonstrators also chanted, "Go home fascists."

CTV News indicated that five people were arrested at the rally.

LGBT activists are greatly troubled by the resistance they are now seeing by parents and students.

"We’re dealing with probably some of the scariest forms of pushback against LGBTQ2 rights, in particular to those who are transgender and non-binary," Debbie Owusu-Akyeeah, executive director of the Canadian Center for Gender and Sexual Diversity, told Global News. "We’re seeing a much more coordinated attack in areas that we’ve never seen before, including school board meetings, including Pride events, whether it’s drag story time – these are all new tactics that we’re seeing."

VIDEO: Violent transgender activists allegedly assault dad

The Vancouver Police Department is investigating after activist Chris Elston, also known as "Billboard Chris," says he was assaulted Friday at a trans-rights rally.

"The most violent group in the western world are transgender activists," Elston tweeted Saturday.
"Here I am getting assaulted in the presence of dozens of police who do nothing," Elston said.

"We have launched an investigation into an incident that occurred at yesterday’s trans-rights rally at Grandview Park. We support everyone’s right to peacefully assemble and protest, but we will also hold people accountable for acts of violence and criminal behaviour," the Vancouver Police Department said Saturday afternoon in a tweet that is closed for comment.

"I'll believe them when I see results," Elston said Saturday in a tweet. "Hopefully they conduct an internal investigation into the conduct of their own officers," he added. According to Elston, officers did too little to intervene.

"Billboard Chris" is an activist father based in Canada who opposes surgical and chemical approaches to treating gender dysphoria in children. He reportedly travels across North America wearing sandwich board signs succinctly summarizing his position. He has been interviewed on news and opinion programs including Fox News Channel's "Tucker Carlson Tonight."

One video of Friday's incident in Vancouver shows Elston, already with what appears to be an open cut on the bridge of his nose from an earlier assault in the public park. That video shows a group surrounding him, chanting "f*** you." Police officers are seen standing by as the swarm quickly grows violent.

The video shows one chanting protester with an orange umbrella and a rainbow flag, standing within inches of Elston, directly behind him. As Elston turns, his elbow appears to graze the protester's fluffy coat collar and Elston appears to place his hand lightly on the protester's collar as he continues turning on the spot.

The video shows the protester immediately go for Elston's neck with what appears to be an attempt at a choking type hold. A scuffle ensues as Elston pulls back from the hold, then pushes the protester away, and tumbles toward the group of officers. As Elston creates some distance between himself and the protester group, one female officer among the several officers in view in the footage, appears to be smiling or chuckling.

"I need to sue the VPD. This is obscene," Elston also tweeted.

The first assault at the Vancouver location occurred "within seconds" of his arrival, Elston said, adding that he had called 911 for assistance. According to Elston, the female officer — who appears to be the same officer smiling during the later assault described above — initially suggested Elston might have cut his own nose.

"People can do these things, hurt themselves on purpose ... you provided me no evidence," the officer said, before seeing video of the first assault.

After seeing the video, the officer agrees to "have a conversation" with the people who allegedly first assaulted Elston, "to see what they say."

Rachel Levine says medicine is being 'politically PERVERTED,' calls on doctors to 'STAND UP' for trans youth

On "The News & Why It Matters," BlazeTV hosts Sara Gonzales and Pat Gray, along with BlazeTV contributor Jaco Booyens and child advocate Chris Elston, discussed a video clip recently uncovered by parental rights advocate Megan Brock showing the Biden administration’s assistant secretary for health, Rachel Levine, calling on doctors to become activists for "LGBTQI+ youth" because "medicine and science are being politically perverted around this country."

“As a Pennsylvania parent who watched kids in my community be kept out of school for more than a year under Levine’s tenure as PA Secretary of Health, the irony of this statement is not lost on me.”
— Megan Brock (@Megan Brock) 1670190842

"For almost 40 years now, I have considered it an honor to be a doctor. I believe in our role as healers. I believe in our role as truth-tellers, and the truth that we need to confront now is that medicine and science are being politically perverted around this country. This destroys human lives, and we have reached a tipping point for the role of medicine in civic life for the health and well-being of LGBTQI+ youth and other Americans," Levine said in the video.

"Those who attack our community are driven by an agenda of politics. It has nothing to do with medicine. It has nothing to do with science. It has nothing to do with warmth, empathy, compassion, or understanding. They are rejecting the value of supportive medicine, rejecting well-established science, and simply rejecting basic human compassion. We as doctors and as people who love our communities and love our nation, have to confront the fact that the language of care and compassion that they're using is being taken to [sic] granted to literally tear our communities apart. So, we have to stand up. We have to take a stand on behalf of those who are being hurt. That's what we do in medicine, even when it's difficult."

Brock recently exposed a 2017 email exchange between then-physician general for the state of Pennsylvania Levine and Nadia Dowshen, the co-founder and co-director of the Gender and Sexuality Development Clinic at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, which showed a lack of scientific evidence to justify gender-change surgeries for minors.

“🚨Bombshell email🚨

In 2017, @SecretaryLevine asked CHOP Gender Clinic Co-Founder, Nadia Dowshen, for literature to support gender confirmation surgery protocols in minors. This was the response:

“Hi Rachel, I'm not aware of existing literature but it is certainly happening.””

“@PFIpolicy reported that, since 2015, the @PAHumanServices has spent over $16.7 million in tax dollars through PA Medical Assistance “on sex reassignment and transition related services and drugs..””
— Megan Brock (@Megan Brock) 1669038988

Sara called Levine's claims "demonic," adding, "You're literally saying that everything that is not true, is true, and you're calling it medicine."

"What [Levine] means by 'medicine' in this case — and these are from the words of the doctors at the number-one ranked children's hospital in the country, Boston Children's Hospital — if a child, if a little girl tries to pee standing up, or a boy doesn't want to get a haircut, or they play with opposite gender's toys, this makes them transgender," noted Elston.

"Dr. Marci Bowers, president of WPATH, The World Professional Association for Transgender Health, admits that boys who start on puberty blockers at Tanner stage 2, which is the beginning of puberty, as adults haven't been able to have any sexual function. These kids who start on puberty blockers and progress to cross-sex hormones, which is 98% of them, are sterilized for life. So, this is what they call medicine and science, and they call it misinformation or disinformation for us to repeat their own words," he added.
